Emmanuel leader Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson chooses ecumenical compromise over God

So there we have it, Emmanuel Church leader Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson has chosen the praise and plaudits of men over faithfulness to Christ.

Despite us giving Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson ample opportunity to cancel his ecumenical booking with the apostate Ballymena Church Members Forum, it appears the meeting went ahead regardless.

We tried to reason with Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson, knowing this page is monitored by his church, demonstrating through scripture the dangerous nature of the compromise he was carrying out, but he appears to be hardened in his desire to engage in ecumenical conduct, in direct contradiction to God’s Word.

As we pointed out in our previous article, rather than put a halt to his ecumenical activities, Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson is going deeper into ecumenical compromise, promoting an event in a Presbyterian Church which is on very friendly terms with the nearby Roman Catholic Church.

The event he is promoting is a prayer event, being organised by ’24-7 Prayer Ireland’, of which Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson is a director.

The tagline for this event is: “A time for tribes and traditions to join together to seek his face in prayer and worship”.

What do they mean by “tribes and traditions”? If this includes those from the Roman Catholic Church, then how can they join in prayer and worship without ecumenical compromise? The answer, of course, is that they can’t.

As he continues down this road, it is certain that such prayers as will be offered up at that event next month will go no further than the ceiling of May Street Presbyterian Church, itself a hub of ecumenical deceit.

Zechariah 7:11-13 says: “But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear. Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the Lord of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the Lord of hosts. Therefore it is come to pass, that as he cried, and they would not hear; so they cried, and I would not hear, saith the Lord of hosts:”

If Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson will not hear the calls for faithfulness, then God will not hear him when he makes his petitions.

The works of Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson’s hands are unprofitable as he is using them to create a false Christ and as such, God has warned that this will prove to be to his own hurt.

Jeremiah 25:4-7: “And the Lord hath sent unto you all his servants the prophets, rising early and sending them; but ye have not hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear. They said, Turn ye again now every one from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that the Lord hath given unto you and to your fathers for ever and ever: And go not after other gods to serve them, and to worship them, and provoke me not to anger with the works of your hands; and I will do you no hurt. Yet ye have not hearkened unto me, saith the Lord; that ye might provoke me to anger with the works of your hands to your own hurt.”

Worse still, Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson’s actions will be to the hurt of many more than himself, as he leads his church down the broad road to destruction.

Lest anyone try to claim this is not the broad road to destruction, let us remind readers of his previous form.

In February, as part of the ecumenical talking shop in Belfast known as the ‘Four Corners Festival’, he addressed a meeting in St Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church in Donegall Street in that city (pictured, below). He then endorsed the ecumenical, anti-Christian, ritualistic Taizé form of worship at that same meeting.

Now he has held this meeting hosted by the Ballymena Church Members Forum, an ecumenical grouping which draws its membership from the Church of Ireland, the Presbyterian Church, the Methodist Church and the Roman Catholic Church.

This group has hosted meetings previously in the Roman Catholic Church and a Benedictine Monastery and each year hosts an ecumenical Good Friday walk.

Fellowship with Rome is a craven betrayal of true Christianity, it is as simple as that and Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson is quite clearly and emphatically engaging repeatedly in fellowship with Rome.

We also note that Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson made no mention on his Twitter page regarding this meeting. Perhaps he didn’t want it broadly known to his followers what he was getting up to, or perhaps he hoped we at ‘Protestant Revival’ wouldn’t notice. However, God so ordained it that this work of darkness would be brought to light. As we are told in Numbers 32:23, “be sure your sin will find you out”.

We are calling on anyone associated with Emmanuel Church to separate themselves from it and we are calling on anyone who knows anyone associated with Emmanuel Church to share this with them and implore them to challenge him on his disgraceful actions and separate themselves from this fellowship.

We are living in perilous times where men come “having a form of godliness” and lead people from the truth.

2 Timothy 3 continues in verses 8-9: “Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.”

Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson’s folly is being made manifest and we pray that his followers will separate themselves from his church and those like it and draw nearer to God.

Ten days ago we called on Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson to make the decision Joshua called on the children of Israel to make in Joshua 24:15 when he said “choose you this day whom ye will serve”.

That verse begins with the words: “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord” and Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson has unfortunately taken that viewpoint.

Please, dear reader, do not follow suit.
