Emmanuel leader Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson chooses ecumenical compromise over God

So there we have it, Emmanuel Church leader Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson has chosen the praise and plaudits of men over faithfulness to Christ.

Despite us giving Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson ample opportunity to cancel his ecumenical booking with the apostate Ballymena Church Members Forum, it appears the meeting went ahead regardless.

We tried to reason with Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson, knowing this page is monitored by his church, demonstrating through scripture the dangerous nature of the compromise he was carrying out, but he appears to be hardened in his desire to engage in ecumenical conduct, in direct contradiction to God’s Word.

As we pointed out in our previous article, rather than put a halt to his ecumenical activities, Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson is going deeper into ecumenical compromise, promoting an event in a Presbyterian Church which is on very friendly terms with the nearby Roman Catholic Church.

The event he is promoting is a prayer event, being organised by ’24-7 Prayer Ireland’, of which Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson is a director.

The tagline for this event is: “A time for tribes and traditions to join together to seek his face in prayer and worship”.

What do they mean by “tribes and traditions”? If this includes those from the Roman Catholic Church, then how can they join in prayer and worship without ecumenical compromise? The answer, of course, is that they can’t.

As he continues down this road, it is certain that such prayers as will be offered up at that event next month will go no further than the ceiling of May Street Presbyterian Church, itself a hub of ecumenical deceit.

Zechariah 7:11-13 says: “But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear. Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the Lord of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the Lord of hosts. Therefore it is come to pass, that as he cried, and they would not hear; so they cried, and I would not hear, saith the Lord of hosts:”

If Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson will not hear the calls for faithfulness, then God will not hear him when he makes his petitions.

The works of Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson’s hands are unprofitable as he is using them to create a false Christ and as such, God has warned that this will prove to be to his own hurt.

Jeremiah 25:4-7: “And the Lord hath sent unto you all his servants the prophets, rising early and sending them; but ye have not hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear. They said, Turn ye again now every one from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that the Lord hath given unto you and to your fathers for ever and ever: And go not after other gods to serve them, and to worship them, and provoke me not to anger with the works of your hands; and I will do you no hurt. Yet ye have not hearkened unto me, saith the Lord; that ye might provoke me to anger with the works of your hands to your own hurt.”

Worse still, Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson’s actions will be to the hurt of many more than himself, as he leads his church down the broad road to destruction.

Lest anyone try to claim this is not the broad road to destruction, let us remind readers of his previous form.

In February, as part of the ecumenical talking shop in Belfast known as the ‘Four Corners Festival’, he addressed a meeting in St Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church in Donegall Street in that city (pictured, below). He then endorsed the ecumenical, anti-Christian, ritualistic Taizé form of worship at that same meeting.

Now he has held this meeting hosted by the Ballymena Church Members Forum, an ecumenical grouping which draws its membership from the Church of Ireland, the Presbyterian Church, the Methodist Church and the Roman Catholic Church.

This group has hosted meetings previously in the Roman Catholic Church and a Benedictine Monastery and each year hosts an ecumenical Good Friday walk.

Fellowship with Rome is a craven betrayal of true Christianity, it is as simple as that and Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson is quite clearly and emphatically engaging repeatedly in fellowship with Rome.

We also note that Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson made no mention on his Twitter page regarding this meeting. Perhaps he didn’t want it broadly known to his followers what he was getting up to, or perhaps he hoped we at ‘Protestant Revival’ wouldn’t notice. However, God so ordained it that this work of darkness would be brought to light. As we are told in Numbers 32:23, “be sure your sin will find you out”.

We are calling on anyone associated with Emmanuel Church to separate themselves from it and we are calling on anyone who knows anyone associated with Emmanuel Church to share this with them and implore them to challenge him on his disgraceful actions and separate themselves from this fellowship.

We are living in perilous times where men come “having a form of godliness” and lead people from the truth.

2 Timothy 3 continues in verses 8-9: “Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.”

Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson’s folly is being made manifest and we pray that his followers will separate themselves from his church and those like it and draw nearer to God.

Ten days ago we called on Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson to make the decision Joshua called on the children of Israel to make in Joshua 24:15 when he said “choose you this day whom ye will serve”.

That verse begins with the words: “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord” and Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson has unfortunately taken that viewpoint.

Please, dear reader, do not follow suit.

The clock is ticking for Emmanuel leader Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson

Five days ago we featured the latest step in the ecumenical compromise of Emmanuel leader Alain Emerson.

He will, this Sunday, address a meeting of the ecumenical Ballymena Church Members Forum in Ballymena Methodist Church.

The Ballymena Church Members Forum draws its membership from the Church of Ireland, Presbyterian Church, Methodist Church and Roman Catholic Church.

Previous meetings of this forum include meetings in the Roman Catholic Church and a day retreat to a Benedictine Monastery.

We said five days ago, and it is not our intention to repeat what we said then, that this is a meeting with the stamp of approval of Rome.

We also pointed out this was certainly not the first ecumenical compromise on Alain Emerson’s behalf, as he addressed a meeting in St Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church in Belfast in February (pictured, below), which we previously featured and, to compound matters, he endorsed the anti-Christian, ritualistic and ecumenical worship style of Taizé at that meeting, which we also covered.

Five days ago, we advised Alain Emerson and his acolytes, for we are aware they are monitoring this page, that he had eight days in which to cancel this booking and, if he did so, we would be happy to write an item praising him for doing so.

We have been monitoring the situation and it appears he has no such plans to do so.

The Ballymena Church Members Forum continues to advertise this meeting this Sunday night, 22 April, and there is no indication from Alain Emerson himself that he plans to cancel this booking.

Indeed, Alain Emerson has further deepened his commitment to ecumenism, advertising on his Twitter page an event being held by ’24-7 Prayer Ireland’ in May.

It is being held in May Street Presbyterian Church in Belfast, which, we have discovered, is another den of ecumenical deceit.

In March it played host to a Women’s World Day of Prayer event, the danger of which we previously addressed, and in January the church celebrated the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, another event we previously warned against, by attending what they call their “annual” ‘Prayers Around The Cross’ service in St Malachy’s Roman Catholic Church on Alfred Street in Belfast.

According to May Street Presbyterian Church, it was a “most moving” candlelit service and thanks were extended to St Malachy’s for their “kind invitation” into the hub of iniquity.

At the 2017 service, May Street Presbyterian Church’s Clerk of Session Arthur Acheson performed a reading, so we know the senior office bearers in this church are fully behind this apostasy.

Once again, this demonstrates the type of fellowship Alain Emerson is keen to engage in and keen to persuade others to engage in as well.

There may be many who think we ought to remain silent and indeed think it is wrong to challenge Alain Emerson for his ecumenical treachery, but we are set a fine example by Paul as to what stance we should take with those whose actions serve to undermine the gospel of Christ.

Galatians 2:4-5 says: “And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage: To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.”

Paul refused to countenance untruths or corruptions of God’s Word for so much as an hour, and by the grace of God, neither will we.

Does Alain Emerson, the leader of a supposedly God exalting church, believe it is OK to mingle seed with Romanists and their chums? Does he believe it is God honouring to associate spiritually with those who would blaspheme against God in so many ways?

By encouraging others to follow him and setting a very poor example, Alain Emerson is guilty of the same crime as those priests in Malachi 2:8, of whom God said: “But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the law.”

Alain Emerson is treading a dangerous line and needs to be very careful. God will not tolerate such behaviour.

Matthew 18:7: “Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!”

Are not these meetings Alain Emerson is leading and advertising an offence to God? They most assuredly are, and God promises a most fearsome punishment to those who bring these offences.

We renew our call once again to Alain Emerson only now he has three days to cancel this booking and again we would encourage readers to share this post to help challenge him on his continued failure to abide by Biblical standards.

Emmanuel leader Alain Emerson prepares to renew fellowship with Rome once again

In February, we highlighted the leader of the Emmanuel Church, a liberal gathering in the Craigavon area, Alain Emerson, addressing a meeting in a Roman Catholic church in Belfast as part of the annual ecumenical talking shop in the city called the ‘Four Corners Festival’.

Not only did he do that, but Alain Emerson also led the practising of a ritualistic, ecumenical anti-Christian form of worship called Taizé, something which we also covered.

Now we can reveal that Alain Emerson will be leading another ecumenical meeting involving Romanists, this time in Ballymena Methodist Church.

You may ask, how is that so? Well, it is a meeting organised by the Ballymena Church Members Forum, an ecumenical group which includes the Church of Ireland, Presbyterian Church, Methodist Church and Roman Catholic Church.

Previous meetings organised by the forum have been held in the Roman Catholic Church and indeed a meeting last year consisted of a day retreat to the Holy Cross Benedictine Monastery in Rostrevor, County Down.

They also jointly held an ecumenical Good Friday walk through the town, something we also highlighted on this page.

This gives you a flavour of the type of grouping Alain Emerson, the leader of a supposedly God exalting church, is endorsing by his presence.

As was the case with his appearance at St Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church in Belfast on 10th February, Alain Emerson (pictured, above, speaking in the chapel in February) is plugging a book he’s written, called ‘Luminous Dark’.

We will now repeat exactly what we said on this back in February: “It addresses the loss he suffered when his 23 year old wife sadly passed away, and, while we have not read the book, we certainly have no issue with the principle of anyone trying to help others coping with bereavement.

“What we do have issue with is a leader of what claims to be a God glorifying church giving legitimacy to the deceit of Rome.”

That is what we said and we reaffirm that statement in its entirety still today.

We ought not to associate ourselves with such anti-Christian practices as those within the Roman Catholic Church. Giving them any type of a hearing can lead to the situation God warned of in Deuteronomy 12:30.

It says: “Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.”

There is a risk of assimilating improper worship styles by doing such a thing (although if Alain Emerson practises Taizé worship then perhaps that’s a lost cause already) and that is why God was ordering His people to be separated from the heathens round about them and their pagan practices.

Many people may claim to serve the same God as we do but Jesus said “by their fruits ye shall know them”.

Look at the example of Jeshua and Zerubbabel in the book of Ezra, when they set about, under God’s will, to rebuild the temple in Jerusalem.

Those who claimed to serve the same God as the children of Israel returning from the captivity were looking to take part in the restoration work and claimed to serve the same God as them, but the Israelites’ leaders saw through their deceit and told them to stay away.

Their response after being knocked back showed their true colours and their evil fruit. It is the same with Romanists, apostates and ecumenists; they will be your friend and claim to serve the same God as the true child of God until you speak out against them, and then you’ll feel their fury. Rather than being reproached and repentant, they more often than not lash out.

This is how these false Christians and true ecumenists acted in Ezra 4:1-5: “Now when the adversaries of Judah and Benjamin heard that the children of the captivity builded the temple unto the Lord God of Israel; Then they came to Zerubbabel, and to the chief of the fathers, and said unto them, Let us build with you: for we seek your God, as ye do; and we do sacrifice unto him since the days of Esar-haddon king of Assur, which brought us up hither. But Zerubbabel, and Jeshua, and the rest of the chief of the fathers of Israel, said unto them, Ye have nothing to do with us to build an house unto our God; but we ourselves together will build unto the Lord God of Israel, as king Cyrus the king of Persia hath commanded us. Then the people of the land weakened the hands of the people of Judah, and troubled them in building, And hired counsellors against them, to frustrate their purpose, all the days of Cyrus king of Persia, even until the reign of Darius king of Persia.”

The Bible rightly points out they were Judah’s adversaries and Zerubbabel and Jeshua, and the other leaders, took the absolutely proper approach, declaring: “Ye have nothing to do with us.”

Any true child of God must have the same viewpoint. 2 Corinthians 6:17 says: “be ye separate, and touch not the unclean thing”.

The Ballymena Church Members Forum is most certainly an unclean thing and Alain Emerson cannot use the excuse that the meeting is being held in a so-called Protestant church to justify his actions. This is a meeting with the stamp of approval of Rome, a corrupt anti-Christian pagan system that knows only how to lead its poor deluded adherents to a lost eternity in hell.

If Alain Emerson were likely to come close to saying something like that or if there was even a hint of suspicion from any of the four churches involved in this forum that he might do so, never mind the Roman Catholic Church, then he would not have been invited anywhere near the place.

It grieves us to see such ecumenical corruption taking place and grieves us further still to receive the responses we had of many a number of weeks ago trying to justify Alain Emerson’s actions. There is no justification and, based on the tone of the comments we received in support of him, they appeared to be worshipping the creature more than the creator (Romans 1:25).

We will continue to highlight betrayal of true Biblical Christianity, which is true Protestantism, and to shine a light on the works of darkness.

This meeting is due to take place in eight days’ time on Sunday, 22 April and we are giving Alain Emerson eight days in which to cancel this booking.

If anyone reading this happens to know him or any of his connections or adherents at Emmanuel Church, please share this with him. We believe this page is being monitored closely by the most senior members of the Emmanuel Church, so we expect this will reach Alain Emerson.

We are absolutely prepared to write an item praising Alain Emerson for cancelling this meeting and refusing to touch “even the garment spotted by the flesh” (Jude v 23). However, if it goes ahead, we will not be silenced by the chorus of creature worshippers we were contacted by when we previously spoke out.

To Alain Emerson and all his adherents, be they Emmanuel Church attendees or part of the wider charismatic, easy-believism movement, we will leave you with the opening part of Joshua 24:15: “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve”.

To everyone reading this, that is a decision we all must make. We trust that all reading this will follow the words and grab hold the promise of Romans 10:9, 13, which say: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Good Friday for ecumenists, Bad Friday for Bible believers as Protestant ministers walk hand in hand with Rome

Psalm 1: “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.”

The Easter season is supposed to be a time to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ and his victory on the cross at Calvary.

However, dozens of Protestant clergymen and women (that we know of!) took part in ecumenical Good Friday walks in various towns and villages up and down Northern Ireland. Among the Protestant clergy who led these processions was ‘Rev’ Anne Tolland (pictured), ‘minister’ of Newtownbreda Presbyterian Church.

Such ecumenical processions were held in various areas, including Belfast, Antrim, Portadown, Ballycastle, Newtownabbey, Downpatrick, Lisburn, Craigavon, Lambeg, Stewartstown, Castlewellan and Ballymena.

These processions were all listed on the Parades Commission’s website in advance of Good Friday, detailing which groups were organising and in most cases specifying the individual churches taking part. As an aside, it’s probably the first time the Parades Commission has proven to be of use to true Protestants!

Interestingly, the walk from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Boho, County Fermanagh, to Boho Parish Church, which we addressed last week, was not listed, though perhaps it did not meet the Parades Commission’s criteria for the submission of an application for a procession.

We will now list every ecumenical group / church dishonouring the gospel of Christ in their Good Friday Walk of Compromise:

Ballynafeigh Clergy Fellowship (Belfast)

Antrim Clergy Fellowship

Churches Together in Portadown

Ballycastle Church Action

Whitehouse-Greencastle Shore Road Churches (Newtownabbey)

Downpatrick Churches Together

Lisburn Inter-Church Clergy Fellowship

St Saviour’s Church of Ireland, Craigavon

Lambeg Churches

St Patrick’s Donaghendry, Stewartstown

Castlewellan Area Bible / Prayer Group and Churches Forum

Ballymena Church Members Forum

To save readers the need to count them up, that’s a total of 12 different ecumenical processions polluting the streets of Ulster, which once stood resolutely for the truth and purity of the gospel.

However, there remains now just pockets of faithful believers standing for the truth, and even fewer who are willing to speak out loud and clear against such departure from the gospel and fulfil the charge of Jude v 3, which is that “ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints”.

Many of these ecumenical processions were followed later in the day by ecumenical church services, further compounding the sinfulness of these groups and churches.

And we will list the churches involved in each of these organisations which held these Good Friday Walks of Compromise:

Ballynafeigh Clergy Fellowship – Newtownbreda Presbyterian Church, Holy Rosary, Ballynafeigh Methodist Church, Cooke Centenary Presbyterian Church, St Jude’s Church of Ireland

Antrim Clergy Fellowship – All Saints Church of Ireland, Antrim Methodist Church, St Comgall’s Roman Catholic Church, High Street Presbyterian Church

Churches Together in Portadown – St John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Seagoe Parish Church (Church of Ireland), Edenderry Memorial Methodist Church, Armagh Road Presbyterian Church, Epworth Methodist Church, Salvation Army

Ballycastle Church Action – Ballycastle Presbyterian Church, Church of St Patrick and St Brigid Roman Catholic Church, Holy Trinity Parish Church (Church of Ireland)

Whitehouse – Greencastle Shore Road Churches (Newtownabbey) – Whitehouse Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, St John’s and St Ninian’s Church of Ireland, Whitehouse Presbyterian Church, St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Greencastle Methodist Church

Downpatrick Churches Together – Downpatrick Presbyterian Church, Downpatrick Methodist Church, Down Church of Ireland Cathedral, St Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church

Lisburn Inter-Church Clergy Fellowship – Seymour Street Methodist Church, First Lisburn Presbyterian Church, Christ Church (Church of Ireland), Lisburn Church of Ireland Cathedral, Railway Street Presbyterian Church, Lisburn Christian Fellowship, St Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church

St Saviour’s Church of Ireland, Craigavon – The already specified church and St Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church

Lambeg Churches – Derryvolgie Parish Church, Harmony Hill Presbyterian Church, St Colman’s Roman Catholic Church

St Patrick’s Church of Ireland Donaghendry, Stewartstown – The already specified church and St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church

Castlewellan Area Bible / Prayer Group and Churches Forum – St Paul’s Church of Ireland, St Malachy’s Roman Catholic Church

Ballymena Church Members Forum – Ballymena Methodist Church, West Presbyterian Church, All Saints Roman Catholic Church, St Patrick’s Church of Ireland

We have counted 34 Protestant churches taking part in these walks, representing congregations totalling, no doubt, thousands of Protestants.

In all these clergy forums and groupings, the Roman Catholic Church is involved, despite the fact that the Roman Catholic Church teaches a false gospel of works and merit, not the true gospel of salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.

Ephesians 2:8-9 says: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Nothing we can ever do will mean we have earned salvation. Rome teaches of various means to earn a spot in heaven, including pilgrimages and rituals, as well as paying into its coffers.

This is what God thinks of such falsehoods and their propagators. Galatians 1:8-9 says: “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”

Romanists damn their adherents to hell by failing to tell them how to get to heaven, and one must ask of these churches taking part and their leaders, do they believe we are saved through faith alone? Are these church leaders saved?

If these Protestant churches are so cosy with the Roman Catholic Church, they certainly cannot be faithfully proclaiming the Word of God, else the Roman Catholic Church would not take anything to do with them.

As those verses above from Galatians state, the curse of God is upon Rome and those Protestant churches, their clergy and their congregations are made partakers of their evil deeds by their association.

A great many churches and areas have been touched on in this post and we would encourage anyone reading this connected with any of these churches to take the minister to task for this betrayal of Protestantism, and if you know anyone connected with these churches, please share this with them to help spread the word and encourage church goers to make these neglectful shepherds account for their actions.

Here is a very sobering, fearful warning for so-called Protestant ministers who fail to warn their congregations of the danger they are in. Ezekiel 33:6: “But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.”

The blood of the sinner not warned of their need of salvation is on the hands of each minister who fails to discharge this vital duty.

How many of the churches listed above have ministers whose hands are dripping with the blood of unwarned sinners who have died and gone to hell?
