Arch-apostate of Canterbury promotes Christ rejecting Mariolatry

The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, has been the special guest at a parade for Mary, the earthly mother of Jesus.

Justin Welby led the national pilgrimage to the “Anglican Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham”, a village in Norfolk, which features an idolatrous statue of Mary at the front of the procession.

It is truly bizarre that there should be an Anglican shrine to Mary, given that Mariolatry is a Romanist deceit and runs utterly contrary to the Protestant faith, which Justin Welby is supposed to uphold.

The Popish celebration took place on the second Bank Holiday Monday of May, according to a report on the Premier Christianity website, and on the Sunday night preceding, “there was a prayer vigil throughout the night so that people could be in the Shrine Church to pray, reflect and meditate”.

It is certainly a good question to ask, to whom were these individuals praying and who were they meditating upon?

A Marian Shrine is a ghastly thing which would appal Mary, and it would make little sense for an individual to go to a Marian Shrine to worship God.

After all, what would be the point of the Marian Shrine existing in the first place?

This Papal betrayal of God has its roots in a tale said to have occurred almost 1,000 years ago.

It states on Wikipedia: “In 1061, according to the Walsingham legend, a Saxon noblewoman, Richeldis de Faverches, had a vision of the Virgin Mary in which she was instructed to build a replica of the house of the Holy Family in Nazareth in honour of the Annunciation. Her family name does not appear in the Domesday Book.”

It is interesting neither this lady nor her family name appears in the Domesday Book, a large scale census undertaken in 1086.

The same entry on Wikipedia confirms that the shrine was under the control of the Papist Augustinian monks and the priory was a site of Romanist pilgrimage until 1538, when it was destroyed by Henry VIII following his falling out with the Roman Catholic Church.

This dreadful heresy was largely forgotten until 1897, when Pope Leo XIII “blessed a new statue for the restored ancient sanctuary of Our Lady of Walsingham” and Mariolatry went back on the ascent.

A Church of England vicar, Alfred Hope (more like No Hope) Patten led an initiative in 1921 to install an Anglican Shrine in Walsingham, and this Popish practice continues to this very day.

This shrine is a result of Church of England apostasy and the Archbishop of Canterbury ought to be rejecting, repudiating and dismantling this vile offence to God, rather than indulging, supporting and celebrating it.

However, the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, has rightly earned the name of Arch-apostate of Canterbury for his wicked betrayal of the Word of God.

Arch-apostate of Canterbury Justin Welby never misses an opportunity to cosy up with the Pope, only just a few weeks ago sitting alongside “that man of sin, and son of perdition”, grinning like an eejit as the Pope endorsed his ecumenical, God-defying ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ prayer event, which reached its compromising climax tonight (Saturday).

Arch-apostate of Canterbury Justin Welby stated that he thought it was “wonderful” when ministers of his own church switch to the darkness of Romanism, calling Rome an “inspiration”.

Arch-apostate of Canterbury Justin Welby, on a visit to Belfast last year, accepted a statue of what Rome calls “Our Lady of Perpetual Help”, just one of the blasphemous titles Rome applies to Mary.

This demonstrates the total and utter abandonment of God’s Word which is at large within the Church of England, that a man with such credentials can not only rise to the top of that body, but be allowed to continue in that role.

And now he is leading a parade preaching and promoting devotion to Mary, one of the most abominable of the deceits of the pagan Roman Catholic Church.

Let us not forget that Mary was a sinner in need of salvation, just like any of us.

Luke 1:46-47 says: “And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.”

Rome claims Mary was without sin and indeed was immaculately conceived herself, yet if Mary was sinless, why did she need a Saviour? And the notion of the immaculate conception of Mary has absolutely no Biblical grounding.

Rome teaches of praying to Mary (as well as long dead, so-called saints), despite this being utterly contrary to what the Bible teaches.

1 Timothy 2:5 says: “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus”.

We also find in the book of Hebrews how Jesus is our mediator and we come to God through Him.

Hebrews 12:22-24 says: “But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.”

Jesus is the mediator of the new covenant, ie this gospel age. Jesus is our way of salvation, yet Rome’s lies put Mary in the role of Jesus.

This is what Alphonsus Liguori, a ‘saint’ of the Roman Catholic Church, founder of the Redemptorist Romanist order and author of one of the major books propagating Mariolatry – The Glories of Mary, says: “In His eagerness to show you mercy, God has given His Son as your Advocate. And then to make your confidence even stronger, He has given you another Advocate, who obtains through her prayers whatever she asks. Go to Mary, and you will see salvation.”

Where has this notion of Mary being an advocate for us came from? It is most certainly not in the Bible.

This is the unscriptural nature of Mariolatry and that’s the type of blasphemy with which Justin Welby is finding common cause by parading a statue of Mary to a shrine to Mary.

Justin Welby is supposed to be defending Biblical truth, not endorsing Romanist paganism, deceit and idolatry.

What a fearful thing it is to apostatise and to turn away from God’s Word.

We can even see a fearful example within the prophecy of Ezekiel.

Ezekiel 20:27-29, 31-32 says: “Therefore, son of man, speak unto the house of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Yet in this your fathers have blasphemed me, in that they have committed a trespass against me. For when I had brought them into the land, for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to them, then they saw every high hill, and all the thick trees, and they offered there their sacrifices, and there they presented the provocation of their offering: there also they made their sweet savour, and poured out there their drink offerings. Wherefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God; Are ye polluted after the manner of your fathers? and commit ye whoredom after their abominations? For when ye offer your gifts, when ye make your sons to pass through the fire, ye pollute yourselves with all your idols, even unto this day: and shall I be enquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live, saith the Lord God, I will not be enquired of by you. And that which cometh into your mind shall not be at all, that ye say, We will be as the heathen, as the families of the countries, to serve wood and stone.”

Arch-apostate of Canterbury Justin Welby is offering up polluted worship, how can one say that Popish exercise is anything other than polluted worship?

God says He will not be enquired of by those who do such.

That is a sad and frightening position to be in.

Anyone reading this who is not saved, no matter how religious you may be or how much you strive to be a good person, is offering up polluted worship to God.

Without having the blood of Jesus Christ to plead for you (Mary cannot do it) when you die or when Christ returns, whichever comes first, then you will spend all eternity in hell.

All your righteousnesses will be as filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6).

But if you are saved, you will have placed upon you the white robes of Christ’s righteousness and spend eternity with Him in heaven.

And you can be cleansed of your sins even now as you read this by simply placing your faith and trust in Him, just as the Philippian jailer did.

Acts 16:29-31: “Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved”.

Place your faith and trust in Christ, not in Mary, not in a church, not in religiosity, not in some charismatic preacher, but place your faith in Christ and start for heaven today.

True Protestantism is ‘residual bigotry’, says ‘Papist’ Peter Lynas

The leader of the Evangelical Alliance and senior figure in the Causeway Coast Vineyard Church, Peter Lynas, has hit out at anyone who dares to question or highlight his ecumenical cuddling up with Rome.

‘Papist’ Peter Lynas, a title he has emphatically earned, let loose at any true Protestant when given a forum by the Belfast Telegraph last week.

He branded any who pointed out the error of mixing with the false and blasphemous religion of Romanism as being guilty of demonstrating “residual bigotry” in an interview with the arch-ecumenist Alf McCreary.

In his interview, ‘Papist’ Peter Lynas said in response to a question enquiring as to whether he has ever received any criticism for his faith: “There is also some residual bigotry directed at me for working with the Catholic Church on areas of shared interest. Very few actually want to engage – there is a lot of virtue-signalling, which is a shame.”

Both of the key words he used, “residual bigotry”, are very instructive.

Residual is instructive as it implies that true Protestantism is nothing but a minor legacy of days gone by, and it appears that ‘Papist’ Peter Lynas is more than happy for that to be the case.

Of course, true Protestantism is a diminished force in our land, but it is something to be lamented for and repented of, not to be gloried in.

When Saul departed from the Lord and He rejected him, it was a time of sorrow and was bewailed by the Lord’s servant, in this case Samuel.

1 Samuel 15:10-11: “Then came the word of the Lord unto Samuel, saying, It repenteth me that I have set up Saul to be king: for he is turned back from following me, and hath not performed my commandments. And it grieved Samuel; and he cried unto the Lord all night.”

A servant of God should be distressed at apostasy, be it in an individual or a nation, not expressing contempt for what once was.

This is a common theme throughout the books of the prophets as well, no less so than in the case of Jeremiah.

Jeremiah, known often as the wailing prophet, bemoaned the state of religion in the land of Judah throughout his prophecy and sought faithfully to see the people restored to their prior state of godliness.

In pronouncing judgment on the people, God said in Jeremiah 6:16: “Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.”

The old paths, where true Protestantism, which is true Biblical Christianity, predominated in the land, are being consciously rejected, including by the likes of ‘Papist’ Peter Lynas.

Has true revival ever been achieved when professing Christians have aligned themselves with Rome? Of course not.

The Roman Catholic Church is a rotten system which leads its poor deluded adherents to a lost eternity in hell by denying the work of the cross by Jesus Christ as being sufficient for salvation.

But ‘Papist’ Peter Lynas is ever keen to mingle seed with the architects of Romish deceit and those who do likewise, while encouraging on others to do the same.

‘Papist’ Peter Lynas applauded so-called Protestants who toddled down to Dublin to cower before the leader of that anti-Christian system, the Pope, when he visited the Republic of Ireland in the summer.

‘Papist’ Peter Lynas eulogised the ecumenical evangelist Billy Graham when he died, despite Billy Graham instructing poor Roman Catholics concerned for their soul to return to the clutches of Rome and being on friendly terms with successive Popes.

‘Papist’ Peter Lynas endorsed the ecumenical ‘Healing the Land’ prayer event at Nutts Corner, which was also backed by at least one Roman Catholic organisation.

And ‘Papist’ Peter Lynas happily retains a close relationship with Alan Scott, former lead pastor of the Causeway Coast Vineyard Church in Coleraine on the north coast of Northern Ireland. This is despite Alan Scott making light of the blasphemy of Mary worship and stating he is “all in” with the Pope.

‘Papist’ Peter Lynas ought to be grateful there remains a residue of true Christianity in Northern Ireland, rather than rail against it.

As for the other word, ‘bigotry’, this indicates how low an opinion ‘Papist’ Peter Lynas has of true Christianity.

He despises it and misrepresents it and calls it a false and vexatious name.

This was warned of by Jesus in His Sermon on the Mount when he said in Matthew 5:11: “Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.”

We are not to be in any way distressed by such lies, but to continue on following and serving God.

Earnest contention for the faith (Jude v 3) and reproving the unlawful works of darkness (Ephesians 5:11), such as Romanism, is considered bigotry by ‘Papist’ Peter Lynas.

What a sad state of affairs it is.

We know not who else has spoken out against ‘Papist’ Peter Lynas in his dreadful ecumenical compromise, but it is certain there is a swipe at the witness of ‘Protestant Revival’ within his comment.

Furthermore, we have no doubt he is alluding to the pathetic ‘challenge’ he issued on our facebook page back in September.

We are certainly not interested in playing by his rules and he was confidently able to rest in the knowledge that so long as he sets the boundaries he won’t be forced to give a Scriptural justification for his abandoning of true Christianity.

‘Papist’ Peter Lynas is more than welcome to set out a Scriptural case for his rejection of God’s Word (an oxymoronic position of course, but obviously a leap he has made in his own mind).

However, what we are really concerned about is, as we have sought to do from the start, defending the true gospel and taking a stand against the workers of error.

Compromise and fellowship with Rome is error, pure and simple, regardless of whether you try to claim it is justified because Rome is opposed to abortion or for some other wafer thin reason.

Just because they claim to be under the same generic banner of Christianity, it doesn’t mean Rome is an ally.

Jehoshaphat, King of Judah, made that mistake when he lined himself up with the evil King Ahab, who reigned over Israel.

1 Kings 22:3-4 says: “And the king of Israel said unto his servants, Know ye that Ramoth in Gilead is ours, and we be still, and take it not out of the hand of the king of Syria? And he said unto Jehoshaphat, Wilt thou go with me to battle to Ramoth-gilead? And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, I am as thou art, my people as thy people, my horses as thy horses.”

God’s displeasure can be seen in 2 Chronicles 19:2, which says: “And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the Lord? therefore is wrath upon thee from before the Lord.”

The two kings may have had some things in common, but Ahab was not a servant of God, nor can anyone say that emissaries of Rome are serving God when they deny his wonderful salvation.

And anyone claiming to be serving God is at best sadly misguided in aligning themselves with those who reject Christ, as Jehoshaphat was sadly misguided.

As with Samuel and as with Jeremiah, we lament to see the demise of true Christianity in this country, rather than rejoice in the replacing of it with something displeasing to God and mocking its diminished presence.

Once more, we implore any reader still undecided or indeed still in the camp of the ecumenical charismania movement to “come out from among them, and be ye separate, and touch not the unclean thing” (2 Corinthians 6:17).

Rome demonstrates clearly that all that calls itself Christian is not what it claims to be.

Sometimes it is not so obvious, people can say many orthodox sounding things, but ultimately serve to undermine the cause of Christ while claiming to be His representative.

1 John 4:1: “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.”

James 2:19: “Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.”

Leading Romanist monk preaches in Armagh Church of Ireland cathedral

St Patrick’s Church of Ireland cathedral in Armagh is one of the main venues for ecumenism in Northern Ireland, and it lived up (or down, perhaps) to its inglorious reputation on Sunday past.

The guest speaker at their service at the weekend was a senior Benedictine monk, who is based at the monastery in Rostrevor, County Down.

‘Father’ Mark-Ephrem Nolan, originally from Belfast, is a leading figure in that monastery, of which one of its key purposes is to promote “reconciliation”, an ecumenical watchword.

This is outlined very clearly by ‘Father’ Mark Ephrem-Nolan, the ‘Superior’ of the Holy Cross Monastery, as it is called, in an article on the ‘Contemporary Christianity’ website.

He highlights in that article how, from its very establishment, the monastery has been a vehicle for ecumenism.

It says: “We celebrated the opening and consecration of our new monastery on the first day of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, 18 January, 2004. The liturgical celebrations marking this event gathered together and invited the active participation of Christians from all denominations.”

Speaking at that event was the former Archbishop of Canterbury, George Carey, itself a demonstration of despicable ecumenism.

George Carey said: “We want this community to be a vocal witness to the power of God’s love expressed so tangibly in the gospel of peace brought to us through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

What George Carey so brazenly ignores there is that, regardless of whether the intentions of that monastery are good, the root is not in Christ.

The Roman Catholic Church is a pagan corruption of true Christianity.

Furthermore, the gospel of peace in the Bible is not the ignoring of critical theological differences, but rather it is the peace which comes through true salvation, which Rome seeks to rob of all which comes under its influence.

There can be no peace with Rome until Rome makes peace with God, and Rome, despite its honeyed words, has no intention of doing that.

Dear reader, do not be deceived by the soft, friendly approach of ecumenists of all shades. Do not be lured into thinking that all who claim to be Christian are that in reality.

Psalm 55:21: “The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.”

Ecumenists will strive to be all things to all men, but their end destination is the dilution and degradation of the true gospel message of peace with God through the atoning blood of the once for all sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Sadly, this ‘Father’ Mark-Ephrem Nolan proudly attests that many so-called Protestants have been sucked in by the deceit of ecumenism, as “50% of those who come for a time of quiet reflection come from the Protestant churches.”

Worse still, he says that “around 90% of the young people who frequent our monastic guesthouse are drawn from the Protestant churches”.

The problem, by his own claims, gets worse as the age drops, and this should be even more concerning as it demonstrates the next generation of so-called Protestants are totally given over to mean compromise with Rome.

They’ll never be able to contend for the true faith when they are linked, arm in arm, with Popery.

‘Father’ Mark-Ephrem Nolan also confirms his entire mission is an ecumenical one.

He says: “Ecumenism is not an activity for our community, but rather underpins our whole way of life.”

And that was surely demonstrated on Sunday past when he sermonised at St Patrick’s Church of Ireland cathedral in Armagh.

‘Father’ Mark-Ephrem Nolan is, in fact, an ecumenical canon at the cathedral, first appointed to the role in 2012, one year after the church changed its rules so as they could let him in.

A Diocesan Ecumenical report from 2012 says: “Provision for two ecumenical canons was included in a new statute governing St Patrick’s Cathedral, Armagh, enacted by the General Synod of the Church of Ireland in 2011.”

This is rather telling; St Patrick’s Church of Ireland cathedral, Armagh, sought to change the rules to fit with their current notions and fancies, but God doesn’t change to suit modern tastes.

Malachi 3:6: “For I am the Lord, I change not”.

Hebrews 13:8: “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.”

The current Dean of Armagh, the Very Rev Gregory Dunstan (pictured, top), is quoted in that same report welcoming his appointment, saying: “In Mark-Ephrem Nolan and Dr Donald Watts (the other appointee), the Archbishop has chosen two distinguished Christians each of whom, through their own particular ministry, have exercised great influence for good in the life of the whole Church in Ireland. I am delighted at their appointment.”

These are very ecumenical words, and shows that Very Rev Gregory Dunstan considers Rome to be part of God’s church, which is a very sad position to take, as Rome denies the key gospel message of salvation by faith alone in Christ alone.

Given ‘Father’ Mark-Ephrem Nolan is an ecumenical canon in St Patrick’s, it is unsurprising that this was not his first time preaching there, having preached at the installation of Armagh Presbyterian minister Rev Tony Davidson as an ecumenical canon last year, and no doubt having spoken there on numerous occasions over the five years preceding that.

However, this doesn’t mean we should ignore it, or shrug our shoulders and move on, we ought to continually be in opposition to that which serves to bring dishonour to God, and that is certainly what ecumenism does.

We ought to be separated to Christ if we profess his name, not joining forces with a church which denies his message of salvation by faith alone.

Paul’s determination to please God is a great example for us to follow.

He was able to say in 2 Timothy 4:7: “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”

Paul kept fighting to the end, he didn’t give up or decide he’d done enough for God, he kept waging the spiritual warfare for as long as God gave him power, and it is the same for us.

We ought not to be weary of well doing.

Look at the reward that awaited Paul in the following verse.

2 Timothy 4:8: “Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”

Let us too be determined to finish the course and never shrink away from defending and contending for the faith.

Rev Kenneth Hall at it again with yet another ecumenical service with Romanist

Proverbs 27:20: “Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied.”

The Church of Ireland’s Dean of Clogher and Enniskillen rector, Rev Kenneth Hall, has an insatiable appetite for ecumenical compromise with Romanists.

At almost every turn, there he is pictured and partaking in yet another ecumenical service, smiling alongside some emissary of Papal deceit.

He took his latest opportunity a couple of weeks ago as he engaged in an ecumenical service to celebrate the 100th anniversary of an agricultural show.

It would appear that Rev Kenneth Hall just can’t help himself.

If there is an opportunity to betray the Bible, the 39 Articles of the Anglican faith, both of which he is supposed to uphold, and to reject his Protestant heritage, then he’ll be there, often ensuring there’s someone with a camera present to capture him grinning like a Cheshire cat next to some old deceiver of a Papist priest.

By his own admission, Rev Kenneth Hall has devoted his ministry to abandoning the truth of the gospel and instead chooses mean compromise with Rome, an anti-Christian system which knows only how to lead its adherents to hell.

We recently highlighted his comments in a sermon in which he said he would continue to work “tirelessly and endlessly” with Romish priests in his pursuit of unity.

He also proudly stated this courting of Rome was the very basis of his ministry, saying: “Everywhere I have moved to since my clerical life began… I have sought to do likewise. My message has not changed…”

Not only that, he is joined at the hip to a leading Romanist in the Fermanagh area, ‘Monsignor’ Peter O’Reilly, with whom he is very much an ecumenical partner in crime.

He remains his bosom buddy, despite ‘Monsignor’ Peter O’Reilly acting as the Romanist mouthpiece who wrung his hands as he rejected permission for a memorial to the victims of the Romanist IRA bombing of those paying their respects on Remembrance Sunday 1987.

The reason he had the power to reject it? Because the bomb which claimed the lives of 13 Protestants was planted in Roman Catholic Church property. Rev Kenneth Hall was utterly silent on that.

Rev Kenneth Hall, a few months ago, held a service in his church honouring a native of Enniskillen, John Sullivan, who was born a Protestant but became a Jesuit priest and is now in the process of being sainted by the Pope.

And now he has taken part in yet another ecumenical service, this time to mark the 100th anniversary of the Clogher Valley Show in County Tyrone.

It was held on the Sunday prior to the agricultural show, which itself took place at the end of July.

He was joined on the occasion by ‘Father’ Noel McGahan, the Papist priest in Clogher, and the ‘Rev’ Olivia Downey, a female ‘minister’ recently appointed to the Clogher Group of Parishes. They are pictured in our below image, with ‘Father’ Noel McGahan on the far left, next to Rev Kenneth Hall, with ‘Rev’ Olivia Downey second right. The other individual appears to be an official at the show.

The gathering was apparently “a thanksgiving for everything that has taken place and [been] accomplished by the Clogher Valley Agricultural Society during the past 100 years”.

Quite why the priest had to be in attendance when this was clearly a Church of Ireland initiative is anyone’s guess.

We will remind Rev Kenneth Hall and indeed ‘Rev’ Olivia Downey of what their 39 Articles have to say. In ‘Rev’ Olivia Downey’s case, she will have presumably recently reaffirmed them, having just taken up her post in the springtime.

Article VI has this to say regarding the “Sufficiency of the Holy Scriptures for Salvation”: “Holy Scripture containeth all things necessary to salvation: so that whatsoever is not read therein, nor may be proved thereby, is not to be required of any man, that it should be believed as an article of the Faith, or be thought requisite or necessary to salvation.”

Rome teaches that ‘Sacred Tradition’ is just as important as the Bible and reject that crucial article of faith. Where does Rev Kenneth Hall stand on that?

Article XI speaks of the “Justification of Man”. It says: “We are accounted righteous before God, only for the merit of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ by Faith, and not for our own works or deservings.”

Rome teaches that we are justified by our works, despite Ephesians 2:8-9 clearly demonstrating that is not the case. Those verses say: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Rome says it is of works, God says it isn’t. Who do you believe? Who does Rev Kenneth Hall believe?

In Article XIX, speaking of “The Church”, it says: “As the Church of Jerusalem, Alexandria and Antioch, have erred, so also the Church of Rome hath erred, not only in their living and manner of Ceremonies, but also in matters of Faith.”

The Church of Ireland’s own supposedly governing principles say that Rome has erred both in matters of faith and ceremony, yet Rev Kenneth Hall is cuddling up with an errant church.

Colossians 2:8 advises us to “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” Rev Kenneth Hall is both associating with and therefore as a minister helping propagate “vain deceit” which is “not after Christ”.

Article XXII speaks “Of Purgatory”. It says: “The Romish Doctrine concerning Purgatory, Pardons, Worshipping and Adoration, as well of Images as of Relics, and also Invocation of Saints, is a fond thing, vainly invented, and grounded upon no warranty of Scripture, but rather repugnant to the Word of God.”

The 39 Articles, which Rev Kenneth Hall claimed to subscribe to when he began to make a living from the ministry, say that Purgatory, images, relics and invocation of saints have no Scriptural warrant and, further than that, they are “repugnant to the Word of God”.

We referred earlier to Rev Kenneth Hall hosting a service honouring a man being sainted by the Pope, yet the invocation of saints is “repugnant”. So why does Rev Kenneth Hall assist in something so repugnant? When he has publicly vowed that these things are repugnant, why is he associating so enthusiastically with them?

We have reminded Rev Kenneth Hall of what the 39 Articles say, now let’s remind him what the Bible has to say.

2 Corinthians 6:17: “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you”.

Ephesians 5:11: “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”

Jude 1:3: “…ye should earnestly contend for the faith…”

Rev Kenneth Hall is in open and brazen disobedience of these commands. Were he contending for the faith he would not be on such friendly terms with the propagators of Papal deceit.

If you attend a church where ecumenical activities are going on, please take heed to these words from 2 Peter 2:1-2: “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.”

The false teachers will bring destruction upon themselves. Do you want them to bring destruction upon you as well?

And if you are reading this and are swept up in the ecumenical folly in our land, won’t you please turn away from it and place your faith and trust in Jesus Christ.

Acts 16:31: “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved”.

DUP continues its downgrade by co-sponsoring drag queen event

Genesis 1:27: “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”

Deuteronomy 22:5: “The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God.”

Towards the end of June, we at ‘Protestant Revival’ highlighted the distressing moves by DUP leader Arlene Foster which seemed to be geared towards placating various enemies of God.

First on her schedule of compromise was attending a Muslim religious festival (pictured, below), before she attended a GAA final in County Monaghan on a Sunday, an Irish republican organisation in which many of the clubs, stadia and trophies take their name from IRA terrorists.

And she concluded her whistlestop tour of compromise by speaking at an event celebrating the ‘contribution’ of LGBT people to Northern Irish society.

As we pointed out at that time, all this seemed to be a means of ingratiating herself with the murderers or murderer apologists of Sinn Fein with a view to getting their power-sharing government back up and running. Pleasing God, sadly, particularly for a party rooted in true Biblical Protestantism, did not seem to be high on their list of priorities.

Now we see further departure from the party’s evangelical roots as one of their MLAs (Member of the Legislative Assembly) acted as a co-sponsor to an event at Stormont (the would-be seat of power in Northern Ireland, were our Assembly functioning), entitled Alternative Queer Ulster.

It was being held as part of the ‘Pride’ week, a celebration of all manner of immorality encompassed within the LGBT+ umbrella.

Speaking at the event was an individual who goes by the name of Electra La C*** – a drag queen.

We don’t actually know what the final word of her name is, as both the Belfast NewsLetter and Belfast Telegraph opted to star it out, so we must assume it is a word not suitable for repetition.

That really says it all about this character, that their ‘stage name’ is so vulgar it cannot be reproduced in a newspaper.

Not only that, this drag queen notoriously wore a tiara dipped in HIV positive blood in a ‘Pride’ parade in Belfast two years ago.

However, the DUP’s Paula Bradley (pictured, top, with Arlene Foster) saw fit to subject our parliament buildings to such depravity.

Not only that, Paula Bradley also saw fit to put her name as a co-sponsor to the sodomite event ran by LGBT news outlet ‘Pink News’ at Stormont; the event which Arlene Foster addressed.

We must state that Paula Bradley, in a fairly recent Belfast Telegraph interview, said she was “not a practising Christian”, so she is not going against any publicly expressed belief.

And we must also clarify the policy surrounding sponsoring an event at Stormont to avoid the accusation of misleading anyone.

For an event to go ahead, three MLAs must sign up to the event. The first is the host, with two further co-sponsors adding their support. There must be cross-community backing for such events, so one nationalist and one unionist must support the staging of each event.

Paula Bradley was not the host, but would have been fully aware that this event was called Alternative Queer Ulster. She would also have been fully aware that such an event would be offensive to a great many DUP voters and a great many DUP members.

However, our concern is with the DUP’s tolerance of such vile events being given the endorsement of one of its elected representatives.

When questioned about the event by the NewsLetter, the DUP said that it was up to the host, Clare Bailey of the Green Party, to ensure the event would “comply fully with all Assembly policies”.

The event may have complied with Assembly policies, drag queens are not illegal after all, but the event certainly didn’t comply with God’s Word.

Their statement said: “DUP MLAs act as sponsor and co-sponsor to many different events held at Parliament Buildings.

“The Primary Sponsor for any event in Parliament Buildings is the person responsible for the event under the Assembly’s guidelines.

“Ms Bradley is one of the co-sponsors and as such was not privy to specific details, including participants. She is acting in good faith that the event will comply fully with all Assembly policies.”

The NewsLetter added the following: “The DUP was not withdrawing its sponsorship, the party added.”

So the DUP, which claimed Paula Bradley wasn’t fully aware of the type of characters attending the event, then says that, despite the utter depravity of this event having been clearly highlighted, confirmed it would sponsor this celebration of sin regardless.

What a disgraceful departure from the old days of the DUP, which campaigned to ‘Save Ulster From Sodomy’. Now it is sponsoring events supporting it!

How this demonstrates how we must stay close to God and His Word, for such situations can come about through nothing other than ignoring the commands of the Almighty.

In the verses at the top of our article, it is clearly demonstrated that a man wearing women’s clothing is an “abomination unto the Lord”.

Likewise, it is clearly demonstrated that people were created either male or female, there is no grey area in this.

And our bodies are to be used to glorify God, and that cannot be done when they are being used to carry out acts which are against God’s natural order.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 says: “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.”

The DUP are playing a very dangerous game in provoking God in such a way.

They have definitely gone backward, as the children of Israel did in the days of Jeremiah.

Jeremiah 7:23-24: “But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you. But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.”

Let this not be fully said of the DUP.

There is still time for this party, once led by the great man of God that was Rev Ian Paisley, to roll back on its moves towards outright rejection of God and His Word.

However, the time is short, and the days are evil and the pressure will continue to build on them, from both within and without, to cave in to such grave and wicked sins.

What a wonderful promise, though, we are offered in God’s Word, that a heartfelt, earnest and truly penitent return to Him will reap great rewards.

2 Chronicles 7:14: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

Joint Anglican and Roman Catholic document seeking full unity under the Pope

The nefarious desire of the ‘Protestant’ heretics within Anglicanism to move into full communion with the deceitful Romanist system has been outlined in the latest agreed statement between the Anglican movement and the Roman Catholic Church.

It is the first statement issued by the third Anglican-Roman Catholic International Commission (ARCIC), a body whose aim is to achieve full unity with Rome, including sharing in the Eucharist (or Mass) and having the Pope as the head.

It is jointly commissioned by both the Vatican and Canterbury.

We should not be at all surprised that the Vatican should agree to this, as it costs them nothing to reach the final destination the two churches have agreed on.

However, it is hard to fathom why the senior figures in the Anglican movement, led by the Arch-apostate of Canterbury, Justin Welby (pictured, top), should want to hand over power over Anglicanism to the Pope (pictured, below).

Let us not forget that their own church still subscribes in name to the 39 Articles.

These include the very proper statement that the Mass is a “blasphemous fable” and a “dangerous deceit”, yet this Anglican commission is looking to share in the Mass with the Papacy.

Such traitors ought to be thrown out by the scruff of their neck from the Church of England, Church of Ireland, Episcopal Church of the USA and all other branches of the worldwide Anglican Communion.

Instead, these are the figures in the top positions and perpetuating such a despicable state of affairs by appointing their own like to the highest positions as they become vacant.

We have read this ‘agreed statement’, as they have entitled it, and will reproduce just some of the content now (it extends to 77 pages of drivel, deceit and departure from any accepted standard of loyalty to God’s Word) for readers to digest.

It is truly a sickening document.

It says: “We do not yet, however, share partnership in the eucharist. What we as yet lack drives us on in search for deeper reconciliation and fuller unity at [all] levels of the Church. While we do not yet fully share in the eucharist, we are already in a real yet imperfect communion which impels us towards deeper and fuller reconciliation at [all] levels of the Church.

“We are pilgrims together walking on the way of penitence and renewal towards full communion.”

They then misapply Ephesians 4:1-3, which says: “I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”

Blasphemously applying this to seeking communion with evil, which the Roman Catholic system undoubtedly is, they conclude this God-defying document by saying: “These characteristics capture the necessary spirit of our ecumenical journey, and offer us a vision of how we are to continue walking together on the way towards full communion.”

Dear member of the Church of Ireland or any other part of the worldwide Anglican Communion, are you “walking together” with the Pope “on the way towards full communion”? Your church leaders say you are.

Are you a “fellow pilgrim” with the Romanists? Are you walking with them on the “way of penitence”? Let’s not forget that penitence in the Church of Rome includes all sorts of works based sacrifices, from mortifying your body to saying Hail Mary’s. Your church leaders say you are sharing that path of penitence.

Are you sharing in a “real communion” with the Papacy, the church which still to this very day teaches, in their communion service, known as the Mass, that they are sacrificing Christ again and again and again, and this despite the Bible clearly teaching His sacrifice at Calvary was once and for all? Your church leaders say you are.

Remember what Hebrews 10:10-12 says: “By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God”.

Do you, as a member of the Church of Ireland, Church of England or any other part of the Anglican Communion, believe you are travelling towards full communion with Rome, under the authority of the Pope? Your church leaders believe you are.

Do you want to travel towards full communion with Rome, under the authority of the Pope? If not, then surely you must speak out against this despicable betrayal of Biblical Protestantism, which is true Christianity.

If you are still unconvinced of the intentions of the leadership of the two churches, we will quote further from this document by ARCIC III, as it is known.

They say, in their introduction: “The goal of the Anglican – Roman Catholic dialogue, established in 1966, during the visit of Archbishop Michael Ramsey to Pope Paul VI, has been successively reiterated by subsequent Popes and Archbishops of Canterbury in the series of Common Declarations issued at important meetings together.

“This goal has been succinctly expressed as ‘the restoration of complete communion in faith and sacramental life and visible unity and full ecclesial communion’.”

That is the goal of all ecumenical conduct throughout the Church of Ireland, Church of England or elsewhere in the Anglican Communion with the Church of Rome.

Any time there is an ecumenical service with the local priest popping in to say a prayer; any time your minister drops into the local chapel for one of their services; any time a Week of Prayer for Christian Unity event is held; any time a Women’s World Day of Prayer event is held in your church, or your friend’s church, or your neighbour’s church, THAT is the goal.

We will repeat their goal and give it the same prominence as it is given in the ARCIC document by reproducing it in the same style as they have done. It is on page 10 of the document, if you want to see it for yourself.

Their goal, by this ecumenical dialogue, is:

“the restoration of complete communion in faith and sacramental life
and
visible unity and full ecclesial communion”

Here is another quote from the document.

“Popes and Archbishops of Canterbury have successively recommitted Anglicans and Catholics to the goal of unity, with increasing clarity and frankness”.

There you go, dear member or attendee of the Church of Ireland, Church of England or elsewhere in the Anglican Communion. The leadership has continually, for 50 years, been “recommitting” you, as an Anglican, to “the goal of unity” and they are getting more brazen about it.

This whole document is brazen, it is an overtly God rejecting statement from start to finish, and it has been done in your name, if you attend any church within Anglicanism.

The Reformation remains an event despised by Rome, for it seized many millions from its control and undermined its deceitful, utterly unscriptural gospel of works, thus depriving it of an incredible amount of money it had been successfully extorting from the public as they purported that financial generosity to the church would help ease their passage into heaven.

And so it is telling that, in an act of arrogance and as a slap in the face to all Reformed Protestants who hold the Word of God and its precious gospel of salvation by faith alone so dear, they concluded the work on their agreed statement in Erfurt in Germany.

Erfurt, of course, was where Martin Luther studied and was ordained as an Augustinian friar in the Church of Rome.

For supposed Protestants to negotiate what is in reality a surrender to the Church of Rome in a city synonymous with the story of the man seen to have kickstarted the glorious Protestant Reformation compounds their betrayal of the goodly heritage that so many men and women fought and died for over the past 500 years.

Also highlighting their betrayal is the pre-eminence given to the Pope, “that man of sin, and son of perdition”, within this agreed statement.

Referring to the “Bishop of Rome”, they say: “In this, as in previous ARCIC Agreed Statements, the Pope, variously referred to as the Supreme Pontiff, the Servant of the Servants of God, the Holy Father, and other historic titles, is normally styled Bishop of Rome.

“It is because the particular church of Rome is where both Saints Peter and Paul laboured and were martyred, that the See of Rome and its Bishop, enjoy a pre-eminent authority and honour in the universal Church.”

Of course, Peter never went to Rome and indeed wrote at least one of his epistles from Babylon, many thousands of miles from Rome.

And any acceptance of any type of authority of the Pope of Rome is utterly repugnant to any true believer due to the blasphemous titles he takes upon himself.

One of the names ascribed to him in their own documents is that of “Supreme Pontiff”, with ‘pontiff’ meaning ‘bridge’.

He is saying he is a bridge between man and God, when that role belongs solely to our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Timothy 2:5 says: “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus”.

Any fellowship with the corrupt system of Rome is a betrayal of the Bible and must be resolutely fought against and opposed.

Ephesians 5:11 reminds us of this. It says: “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”

If you are a member of the Church of Ireland we would encourage you to express your disgust with this dreadful document to your minister and question him as to his view on the matter.

If you are friends with anyone within the church, we would certainly advise you to share this with them so they can be fully aware of the betrayal of Christ the Arch-apostate of Canterbury, Justin Welby, is carrying out in your name (click here for an indication of his rejection of the gospel).

Please remember, dear Christian, we are to be faithful to Christ and not to any particular church.

Separation from error, and this is indeed grave error, is a fundamental tenet of Christianity.

Church of Ireland bishop’s love letter to Romanist excusing republican thugs in Londonderry

Psalm 1:1: “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.”

The Church of Ireland Bishop of Derry and Raphoe has expressed his great admiration for the Roman Catholic Bishop of Derry at a major Church of Ireland youth event.

As part of their attempts to normalise compromise with the papacy with the youth of the Church of Ireland, Bishop Ken Good (Church of Ireland) and Bishop Donal McKeown (Roman Catholic Church) “talked and joked before an audience of Christians about their friendship and ministry”, according to a report on the Church of Ireland Diocese of Derry and Raphoe website.

The report stated that the “close rapport” between the pair “was on display at the Summer Madness festival”, a major gathering for the youth of the Church of Ireland.

Speaking at a seminar entitled ‘Our Journey Together’, Bishop Ken Good, (pictured, right of the image, below) was gushing in his praise for Bishop Donal McKeown (pictured, left of the image).

He said: “I think he has a remarkable way with people. His memory of names, his ability to just relate to people – and I saw this in Rome particularly – he’s a real people person and there’s a warmth about him, there’s a ‘down-to-earthness’ about him.

“I actually think he’s a very good bishop – I’m quite serious about that, it’s true – and he has that warm ability to get on and relate to his people.”

Bishop Donal McKeown continued the adulatory ecumenical exchange.

He said: “We do complement one another as well. I can bring a certain amount of energy but you can bring the focus to it, the structure to it, so together we’re blessed having each other by being different, because we recognise the skills that the other has – which is a wonderful way to have a relationship.

“We’ve been blessed in having each other to complement one another.”

It also appears to be the case that they have each other to compliment one another.

And Bishop Donal McKeown, in recent days, has excused the vicious sectarian actions of republicans in Northern Ireland’s second city, Londonderry, targeting relentlessly for a week a small Protestant area surrounded by republican strongholds.

Referring to the thugs, he said: “Some communities that suffered much in the past are still suffering disadvantage.

“There are young people who feel life is passing them by and looking down on them.”

Therefore, presumably the natural reaction in that circumstance is to, with violent intent, target Protestants simply because they are Protestant. What utter nonsense!

However, this is the type of character that the supposedly Protestant Bishop Ken Good has opted to cosy up with.

Back to their little get together and the Papist bishop then also pointed out that many of their ecumenical ventures were thanks to the determined efforts of the so-called Protestant bishop.

Referring to a number of “Columban pilgrimages” the pair had engaged in together, he said: “I may have my strengths but Ken, all those walks came from you calling meetings in your office; you were the organiser.”

So Bishop Ken Good was the driving force behind the Columban pilgrimages, a Papist practice.

He certainly has not followed the example set by David, as he stressed in Psalm 26.

Verses 4-5 say: “I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers. I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.”

The Roman Catholic system is a wicked one, as it expressly tries to robs its adherents of salvation by denying the precious truth of salvation by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.

Instead it preaches a corrupt system of works, which can never offer salvation.

It does not go well when we make alliances with those who are at odds with God.

One must only look at the sorry example of King Jehoshaphat, the king of Judah who aligned himself with the notoriously wicked king of Israel, Ahab.

The husband of the evil Jezebel, Ahab was that man whom Elijah had boldly told was the one who had troubled Israel with his blasphemous idolatry (1 Kings 18:18).

He had not changed by the time he made an alliance with Jehoshaphat, who, to that point, had pleased God.

However, he very nearly paid for his folly with his life.

First, Ahab made friendly overtures towards him, seeking to win his confidence, which he did.

2 Chronicles 18:2-3: “And after certain years he went down to Ahab to Samaria. And Ahab killed sheep and oxen for him in abundance, and for the people that he had with him, and persuaded him to go up with him to Ramoth-gilead. And Ahab king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat king of Judah, Wilt thou go with me to Ramoth-gilead? And he answered him, I am as thou art , and my people as thy people; and we will be with thee in the war.”

Is that not even the spirit of the ecumenical movement? Do its cheerleaders not say that we’re all really the same, we are all Christians and all serve the same God?

This is a lie and a deceit from the pit, just as it was in the day of Jehoshaphat.

Ahab presided over an evil kingdom and enforced blasphemous worship of Baal in the land, yet Jehoshaphat foolishly sought to team up with this reprobate.

Jehoshaphat equivocated for a time, but eventually gave in to this ecumenical alliance with the idolater, Ahab, and went into battle with him.

However, Ahab sought to protect himself and expose Jehoshaphat to the most danger in their battle with the Assyrians.

2 Chronicles 18:29,31: “And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself, and will go to the battle; but put thou on thy robes. So the king of Israel disguised himself; and they went to the battle. And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, It is the king of Israel. Therefore they compassed about him to fight: but Jehoshaphat cried out, and the Lord helped him; and God moved them to depart from him.”

Were it not for God’s mercy, Jehoshaphat would have been killed by those assuming he was in fact Ahab.

This is typical of the ecumenical process, whereby it is the Protestant who must compromise themselves to align with the Roman Catholic. It was the same for Jehoshaphat, whose kingdom was much closer to God, as he put himself literally in the firing line to aid the God rejecter, Ahab.

However, God made the plans of men to come to nothing when he caused Ahab to die in the battle, regardless of his efforts to disguise himself.

2 Chronicles 18:33-34: “And a certain man drew a bow at a venture, and smote the king of Israel between the joints of the harness: therefore he said to his chariot man, Turn thine hand, that thou mayest carry me out of the host; for I am wounded. And the battle increased that day: howbeit the king of Israel stayed himself up in his chariot against the Syrians until the even: and about the time of the sun going down he died.”

While God intervened on behalf of Jehoshaphat and spared him, He was displeased by his actions, as he told Jehoshaphat through Jehu the prophet in the next chapter.

2 Chronicles 19:2: “And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the Lord? therefore is wrath upon thee from before the Lord.”

Jehoshaphat lost out through an unholy alliance with someone who was at variance with God.

We ought to take heed to such a warning, rather than supporting the ecumenical efforts of the likes of Bishop Ken Good.

2 Corinthians 6:17: “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you”.

Have a glorious Twelfth – and remember the full meaning of Protestantism

2 Thessalonians 2:14-15: “Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.”

One of our main concerns at ‘Protestant Revival’ is what appears to be the emergence of what has become known as ‘cultural Protestantism’ in Northern Ireland.

These are people loyal to the British Crown, steadfastly opposed to the incremental progression of Irish republicanism and resolutely unionist in their outlook.

However, sadly all too many are not mindful of the true meaning of Protestantism and while they remember, rightly, the Glorious Revolution, the Battle of the Boyne and King William III, they have forgotten that these events were acts of God to protect those loyal to Him, the King of Kings.

The Twelfth is a day of celebration of tradition, a colourful exhibition of pageantry and appreciation of our Protestant heritage.

But an absolutely indispensable aspect of our Protestant heritage is the precious doctrine of salvation by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-9).

As Protestants, we ought to be utterly opposed to the corrupt system of salvation by works blasphemously espoused by the Roman Catholic Church.

This is what prompted our forefathers to take their stand for Christ and it was that message which was gloriously blessed by God in the Protestant Reformation 500 years ago and in numerous revivals in the centuries since.

Not least in Ulster can we remember with fondness the stories of revival God has chosen to bless our land with.

In 1859, there was a revival started which saw an estimated 100,000 souls swept in to the Kingdom of God.

Again in the 1920s, God blessed the newly formed Northern Ireland with revival under the preaching of WP Nicholson and many others.

And in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, God saw fit, even through the darkest days of the IRA’s murder campaign, to bring thousands to Christ through the preaching of Rev Ian Paisley and others.

This is a land gloriously blessed by God but we have allowed the wretchedness and wickedness of this world to gain a great deal of traction in Ulster.

We are calling on all true Protestants, those bought by the blood of Christ, to reaffirm this message loud and clear.

And if you are a ‘cultural Protestant’, please remember that what we celebrate today is our civil and religious liberty and the glorious good news of the gospel, which can be summed up so beautifully in one verse of God’s inspired, inerrant Word.

John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

We all find ourselves in the same position as Pontius Pilate did when faced with Jesus Christ.

Matthew 27:22: “Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ?”

What will you do with Jesus? Will you reject Him and spend all eternity in the pit of hell? Or will you make the step our forefathers gave their lives for and confess your sins and put your faith and trust in Him for salvation?

Joshua 24:14-15: “Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord. And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

If you are as yet unsaved, make this truly the most glorious Twelfth of July and put your faith and trust in Christ.

Naomi Long, Alf McCreary and the Belfast Telegraph – ecumenical cheerleaders damaging Northern Ireland

The Belfast Telegraph, historically Northern Ireland’s largest newspaper, has long been a purveyor of ecumenical compromise and claptrap.

And one of the chief architects of this sort of nonsense is their religious correspondent and columnist, Alf McCreary.

A veteran ecumenist and cheerleader of apostasy, Alf McCreary’s attentions of late have been consumed with the church he attends, the Presbyterian Church, loosening links with their sister organisation, the Church of Scotland, and closing off communicant membership to homosexuals.

We referred to those moves by the Presbyterian Church in Ireland recently in an article you can read by clicking here.

We do not wish to repeat what we said at the time, but rather look at the comments made by Alf McCreary (pictured, top) in his latest unscriptural ramblings in the Belfast Telegraph.

While criticising the church’s stance on not offering full membership to sodomites, Alf McCreary said “the real damage was done when the Irish Presbyterians voted by a large majority to cancel visits between the Irish and Scots Moderators because the Scots have more liberal views on homosexuality”.

The term “more liberal views on homosexuality” is, of course, a euphemism for “utterly anti-Christian views on homosexuality”.

We have been obliged to deal with this issue on numerous occasions of late and will not reproduce in full the Scripture passages which clearly outline why homosexuality is contrary to God’s ordained order. However, readers can turn to Leviticus 18:22 and to Romans 1:26-27 to get a very clear direction on this matter.

The Church of Scotland has very clearly set its stall out for sodomy and frankly the Presbyterian Church in Ireland should have made this move much sooner. Let’s not forget that those in homosexual relationships can be ministers in the Church of Scotland – talk about the blind leading the blind!

We are ordered not to associate with those who would seek to denigrate the name of Christ.

2 Timothy 3:1-5: “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”

These clerical figures in the Church of Scotland have a form of godliness, they wear the garb, they preach of love and claim to speak for Jesus, but they deny His Word and from such we are to turn away, whether Alf McCreary likes it or not.

The old ecumenist continues: “Many of [the Presbyterian liberals] now believe that the old, broad Presbyterian Church, which was tolerant, loving and Biblical, has now all but disappeared.”

What a blasphemy for Alf McCreary to say that endorsing the notion of homosexuality in the church was Biblical!

Only someone of a reprobate mind could say such a despicable thing.

The leader of the ecumenical Alliance Party, Naomi Long, a Presbyterian, has, unsurprisingly, felt the need to offer her view on the matter.

Amid reports the Presbyterian Church’s secretary, Rev Trevor Gribben, sent a letter encouraging clergy not to speak out publicly against the church’s stance, Naomi Long said: “The letter was a poorly timed and ill-considered attempt to silence dissenting voices.”

While it is surely essential for any church to be agreed on the fundamentals of their beliefs, and same-sex marriage is one such fundamental, the comment is a remarkable act of hypocrisy from the east Belfast politician.

It was her party which told its elected representatives in the Northern Ireland Assembly that they MUST back same-sex marriage if they were to keep their jobs coming up to the 2016 Assembly election.

Two of their three anti-gay marriage MLAs, one a member of the same church as Naomi Long, suddenly found themselves out of a job, while the other had a change of heart. We cannot comment as to whether the potential loss of nigh on £50,000 a year of a salary was a factor in his decision.

Even more interestingly was the fact that one of the two who didn’t seek re-election following the party diktat, Judith Cochrane, represented the East Belfast constituency. Who took her place on the ballot paper and subsequently in the Assembly, with its very attractive salary? Naomi Long, of course.

So Naomi Long, who doesn’t like “dissenting voices” being silenced in the Presbyterian Church, is happy for all dissent to the modern left dogma of gay marriage being utterly shut down and indeed hounded out of any position of prominence or authority in her party and the land.

Naomi Long and her pals who have consciously chosen to reject Christ would do well to bear these verses in mind.

Isaiah 10:1,3: “Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed; And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory?”

What more unrighteous a decree can there be than forcing people to back such a vile sin as sodomite marriage, or else pay for exercising their conscience with their job?

All those who consciously reject God must consider their latter end. When God’s judgement comes, “to whom will ye flee for help?”

Being in the fashionable crowd in favour of gay marriage, or wishing to have their cake and eat it by having a cloak of religion while cuddling up with the world, like Naomi Long and Alf McCreary will avail you nothing.

It is simply by clinging to Jesus that we will find true rest in this world and a sure promise of eternity.

If you’re not saved, won’t you turn to Christ even today?

Acts 16:31: “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved”.

Romanists, sodomites and murderers: the friends of Presbyterian minister Rev David Latimer

2 Corinthians 11:13-15: “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”

There are some ministers who seem to be trying their very best to offend God as often as possible and in as many ways as possible, yet portray themselves to be his servant at the same time.

One such man is Rev David Latimer, minister of First Derry Presbyterian Church, who has still further deepened his apostasy by giving his blessing to the baptism of a child in the care of a homosexual couple in a Roman Catholic Church.

This is the man who cosied up with one of the most notorious unrepentant murderers in the history of Northern Ireland, the former IRA commander Martin McGuinness.

Such actions were lauded by the media, for whom the promotion of godliness and decency is often far from the top of their priority lists, but associating wilfully with unrepentant murderers is not pleasing to God.

The Sixth Commandment reminds us “Thou shalt not kill”, yet Martin McGuinness, whether he pulled the trigger or not, headed up a brutal gang of killers which took the lives of around 2,000 people over a 30 year period in Northern Ireland, with the victims being killed largely simply because they were Protestant.

Psalm 1:1 reminds us it is much more profitable to avoid keeping company with characters such as Martin McGuinness. It says: “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.”

At this point, we will move to address the inevitable chorus of the apostate, which squawks: “But Jesus dined with sinners”.

Yes he did, but did He stoop to their level? Did He walk in the counsel of the ungodly? Did he stand in the way of sinners, ie be in the places where sinners love to be? Of course not.

Jesus did not compromise Himself, nor could He abide sin, yet Rev David Latimer, by his own admission in a recent BBC article, sacrificed 50 members of his congregation in order to get in the limelight next to Martin McGuinness, a man who never, to his dying breath, expressed an ounce of remorse for the despicable atrocities he was responsible for.

Rev David Latimer loves the “praise of men more than the praise of God” (John 12:43).

His form well and truly established, Rev David Latimer has now revealed his latest public rejection of God’s Word.

We can only assume this revelation was made in the light of the Presbyterian Church voting against allowing homosexuals to become members.

We should be grateful of course this vote was lost and not “despise the day of small things” (Zechariah 4:10) but it is a damning indictment of how far the Presbyterian Church has fallen that this was even up for debate and there were those in favour of such a move. Furthermore, their general attitude to the attendance of homosexuals at the church is far from satisfactory as tolerance of such open sin in the pews, whether those in attendance are members or not, is not something which should be encouraged.

Speaking to the BBC, as he no doubt delighted to do, Rev David Latimer revealed he had connived with a Papist priest to purport to give God’s blessing to a child being raised by two homosexuals.

This is despite God ordaining in the Bible that the family unit was to consist of a father and a mother, not two of one or the other.

Genesis 2:24 says: “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.”

Ephesians 5:31: “For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.”

This is very clear, yet Rev David Latimer believes he knows better than God what God thinks is proper behaviour.

In the video on the BBC website, he said he had been approached by the mother of one of the women in this abominable relationship.

He continued: “I could have said ‘no, we’ll not, no, no way’. But the priest and I chatted and we had conversations with that couple and we agreed to baptise that little baby in a Catholic Church and I was there representing the Presbyterian family.”

Rev David Latimer notes he could have said no and thereby pleased God by refusing to endorse such a relationship. But he, of course, acted differently and instead of consulting God’s Word, he consulted a Roman Catholic priest.

Rev David Latimer then confirmed he had been part of the decision making process in choosing to have the child baptised in the Roman Catholic Church. Presumably this means Rev David Latimer believes the Roman Catholic Church is an appropriate place for anyone.

We will remind Rev David Latimer of what the Westminster Confession of Faith, which he signed at his ordination, says regarding the Pope.

Chapter 25, Paragraph 6 says: “There is no other head of the Church but the Lord Jesus Christ; nor can the Pope of Rome, in any sense, be head thereof; but is that Antichrist, that man of sin, and son of perdition, that exalts himself, in the Church, against Christ and all that is called God.”

Rev David Latimer clearly does not believe this and should not be permitted in the pulpit of any so-called Protestant church.

Rev David Latimer continued: “The church is about opening its doors for people, wherever they are coming from, whatever direction they’re approaching the door, I want that door to be open and I want everybody to appreciate that if God so loved the world and I don’t, then I can’t claim to be godly.”

His comments about the doors being open are a red herring. Anyone can come to a church, but that does not mean the church should endorse sin to make people feel better.

This is like the spirit of those false prophets in the days of Jeremiah.

It says in Jeremiah 5:31: “The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?”

And Rev David Latimer puts the tin hat on his diatribe of deceit by claiming it would be ungodly to oppose the lifestyle of the two women raising that wee boy.

How blasphemous!

To endorse the ungodly lifestyle of those two women by giving his blessing to the baptism of the child is the ungodly action, made even worse by rolling over to the pagan corruption of Christianity that is Rome by encouraging the child to be baptised into a system which knows only how to damn people to hell.

If you are in any way connected with this church or know someone who is, please share this with them to try to persuade them to abandon such a dreadful compromiser as Rev David Latimer.

And please pray that such apostates will be ejected from their pulpits and that the ministers in our land will be faithful to the gospel, for that will be a massive building block on the road to revival.
