World’s governments prepare for coronavirus – but are you prepared for eternity?

Romans 8:22: “For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.”

Essentially the only story making the news headlines around the world at present is the spread of the deadly coronavirus strain known as Covid-19, a flu-like disease which has left thousands dead across the globe.

Various security measures are being put in place in an effort to minimise the spread of the disease, including cancelling large gatherings, self-isolating if you feel any of the symptoms associated with this modern-day plague, washing hands regularly, disinfecting surfaces and so on and so forth.

It is only sensible in the face of a highly contagious deadly disease for millions around the world to take various measures in an effort to reduce the harm it causes.

However, what precautions are being taken by millions around the world to deal with the effects of that much, much deadlier plague called sin?

It has been said by various experts that many people may experience extremely mild symptoms of coronavirus and it will do them next to no harm, even without any form of treatment from a doctor.

However, the disease of sin has a 100% mortality rate for any person who fails to call upon the Great Physician for a cure.

Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

We are all under the curse of sin through our first father, Adam, and without coming to God for salvation we will suffer a dreadful lost eternity in hell.

What has been so evident by its absence from any of our political leaders, including, as far as we can see, the DUP, is any reference to God.

Nobody has stated that we ought to look to God for His mercy and for His hand to be upon us.

Nobody has called for a national day of prayer to petition the Almighty that He might be pleased to wondrously move and curb the spread of this dreadful disease, not just here in the United Kingdom but throughout the globe.

Nobody has reminded the people who are looking to them for guidance that, at a time when we are all being confronted with our own mortality and the precarious nature of life, that they need to be ready to die.

What a dreadful indictment of the state of our country that our political leaders ignore the Almighty God of heaven in our time of need and at a time when so many are fearful of the future.

Often people can be accused of only turning to God when they face difficulties, but our country isn’t even seeking God’s face when confronted by such a crisis.

We are all most likely familiar with the following verses and they seem very apt at this time.

2 Chronicles 7:13-14: “If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

What we, as the people of God, can do is earnestly seek God’s face that He might move in mercy in our land.

We can also pray that God would even be glorified through this time and that many will turn to Him for salvation.

The pride of man has been exposed for all to see, even in the way that they yet refuse to turn to God for help and in the way our leaders fail to urge the general public to cry out to God for mercy.

A supposedly wonderfully civilised society has been built up in the west, but man has forgotten it is only of God we are able to enjoy these many benefits.

Indeed, our land repeatedly tempts God and provokes His wrath.

What wickedness is permitted and indeed celebrated in our country.

Sodomite marriage is now legal in Northern Ireland, our precious land so wonderfully blessed in times past by our Heavenly Father, and new sodomite ‘Pride’ parades continue to spring up throughout our country.

Babies can now legally be murdered in our country, indeed the health service is gearing up to be able to facilitate the slaughter of the unborn in the coming weeks.

How can God not be displeased as He looks down on our land?

And yet the UK still refuses to turn to God.

This was something the children of Israel were warned against when they were about to enter the promised land.

Deuteronomy 8:11-14,17-20: “Beware that thou forget not the Lord thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day: Lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein; And when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied; Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the Lord thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage; And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth. But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day. And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the Lord thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish. As the nations which the Lord destroyeth before your face, so shall ye perish; because ye would not be obedient unto the voice of the Lord your God.”

Even throughout the book of Judges we see the children of Israel repeatedly falling away from Christ, but at times of distress, and sometimes it was only after lengthy periods of distress that they thought to do so, they eventually turned to God for deliverance.

We have a prime example from the days before Gideon was called by God.

Judges 6:1,3-4,6: “And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord: and the Lord delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years. And so it was, when Israel had sown, that the Midianites came up, and the Amalekites, and the children of the east, even they came up against them; And they encamped against them, and destroyed the increase of the earth, till thou come unto Gaza, and left no sustenance for Israel, neither sheep, nor ox, nor ass. And Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites; and the children of Israel cried unto the Lord.”

Seven years of oppression it took for God’s chosen people to call upon Him.

Let not our land be struck by such dumbness when it comes to calling out to the Lord.

Let us even pray at this difficult time that God would be merciful to us and that through this dreadful time for so many, that people will consider their eternal destiny and will come to Christ for salvation.

2 Corinthians 6:2: “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”

‘If hell exists, it is empty’ – disgraceful claim of Presbyterian minister Rev Ernie Rea

Revelation 20:15: “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

Revelation 21:8: “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

There are few more well known aspects of Christianity than the reality of an eternity in hell for those who reject Christ.

There are many who have foolish notions about who actually ends up in hell, the most common of which being a belief that hardly anyone is bad enough to go to hell, and certainly not yourself.

It is almost as if so long as you’re basically not responsible for millions of deaths like Adolf Hitler or Joseph Stalin then you’ll go to heaven.

This foolish notion is bad enough in those who are not church goers, but it is outright dangerous if it is held by ministers, as is the case in many places today.

Comments along the lines of “they lived their life the best they could” or variants thereof are the frequent refrain of the apostate minister at funerals of the unsaved.

Such ministers ought to be chucked out of the pulpits they are polluting.

However, even worse still are those who even question or deny the existence of hell, or say that God couldn’t possibly send anyone to hell.

And someone who has managed to combine both of those vexatious lies is Rev Ernie Rea (pictured, top), an ordained Presbyterian minister.

In an interview with the Belfast Telegraph in the latest of the weekly feature on religious figures from Northern Ireland, Rev Ernie Rea propagated his heretical views on hell.

When asked if he had any fears about hell, he said: “If Hell exists, it is empty. A loving God could not condemn one of his children to everlasting fire.”

This statement is so spiritually misleading and theologically heretical that it is truly a disgrace.

One must wonder if he has ever actually read the Bible.

The reality of hell is so prevalent throughout Holy Scriptures that denial of it is frankly remarkable.

Furthermore, denial of the existence of hell is a rejection of the gospel message and indeed has the effect of calling God a liar.

These are the words of Jesus.

Matthew 10:28: “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”

Now, if Jesus says that hell does exist, but Rev Ernie Rea says it doesn’t, how can there be any other conclusion to be drawn than that Rev Ernie Rea is calling Jesus, Who is God the Son, a liar?

Rev Ernie Rea says that even if hell does exist, then it is empty.

Well, Jesus says we ought to fear him, referring to God, who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

That is certainly not consistent with Rev Ernie Rea and his comments. And if there is nobody in hell, that means God is full of empty threats, and is therefore not a faithful witness and rejects justice.

God forbid that any should teach such lies, but here are the views of Rev Ernie Rea.

Rev Ernie Rea should also read the verses at the top of this article to demonstrate clearly that a great many people sadly are, and sadly will be, cast into hell.

And this vile lie on his behalf will lead more poor lost sinners into an eternity in hell.

If there is no hell then there is no need for forgiveness, according to his twisted theology.

However, in reality, if we do not seek forgiveness, we will die in our sins and we will be lost in hell forever.

Oh what a dreadful lie this man is propagating, and oh what an awful price there is to be paid by those who subscribe to this man’s lies.

This foolish, sinful notion that God couldn’t possibly send anyone to hell is a lie from the pit of hell.

This notion is truly at odds with the Word of God.

In his warnings to the children of Israel, who had the temerity to question the providence and will of God, He said in Ezekiel 18:29-32: “Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of the Lord is not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal? Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord God. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin. Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel? For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord God: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.”

God says here that death awaits those who reject Him and set their face against His Word.

Rev Ernie Rea also talks of God’s children and he is right in the sense that God certainly will not condemn one of his children to everlasting fire.

The problem with his comment is that by claiming that “if hell exists, it is empty”, he is saying that everyone is one of God’s children, which is a misrepresentation of the gospel message.

Sin has separated us all from God and we can only be with him in heaven if we repent of our sins.

1 John 3 examines the difference between the child of God and the child of the devil.

1 John 3:1-2,8,12 says: “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous.”

Cain was “of that wicked one”, yet, according to Rev Ernie Rea’s theology, Cain must be in heaven.

What nonsense!

The book of 1 John also speaks of how there are more people in the world who are sadly heading for hell than for heaven.

1 John 5:19 says: “And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.”

That doesn’t sound much like hell is or is going to be empty.

The passage in 1 John 3 speaks of the sons of God, but what about the children of disobedience whom Rev Ernie Rea seems to think don’t exist.

Yet again, the Bible, which is God’s inspired Word, clearly demonstrates the ungodliness of his view.

Writing to the saints in Ephesus, Paul spoke of the difference in their lives between their ungodly days and after they got saved.

Ephesians 2:1-3 says: “And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.”

The course of this world is sinful, the saved were once children of wrath, even as others, meaning many still are the children of wrath.

What a false teacher Rev Ernie Rea is and God has a word for him and a warning to any who might pay heed to what he has to say.

Ephesians 5:6: “Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.”

Dear reader, if you are as yet unsaved, won’t you turn to Christ for salvation, put your faith and trust in Him and repent of your sins.

It is the only way you will escape the dreadful reality of hell.

Hebrews 2:3: “How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation?”

God might be a woman and salvation without repentance, teaches Christian Aid Ireland leader

The core message of the Bible is of God’s great salvation, obtained through faith in Christ and repentance of sin.

This can be summed up in a great many verses in the Bible.

An example of this can be found in Mark 1:14-15, which says: “Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”

The most famous verse of all, John 3:16, establishes this gospel truth. It says: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

1 John shows that we are sinners and have to confess our sins to Christ, who will forgive us if we do.

1 John 1:8-10 says: “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

We cannot get to heaven without repentance, and our atonement is achieved by the precious blood of Christ, which he shed on the cross at Calvary, and Hebrews 9:22 says that “without shedding of blood is no remission”.

There is no other way to get to heaven.

Many people like to think they can get to heaven their own way, or that they can work out their salvation some way separate to that which is laid out in the Bible.

One such person appears to be Rosamond Bennett, the CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of Christian Aid Ireland and ‘elder’ (1 Timothy 2:12) in the Presbyterian Church.

Speaking in the most recent of the interviews with public figures about their faith with arch-ecumenist Alf McCreary in the Belfast Telegraph, Rosamond Bennett explained how she “came to faith” – and there was absolutely no mention of grief and guilt over sin or repentance or turning away from sin.

There was no acknowledgement of the need to be washed in the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

While she told an emotive story, described in part in the headline by the newspaper to attract people’s attention, and one cannot fail to be sympathetic towards her when one reads the story, it sadly contains no details of any repentance for sin committed.

In the interview, she said: “It was only when my father died, when I was 10, that I fully became aware of God’s presence in my life. I had been away for the weekend and came home on Sunday evening. Daddy was ill with heart trouble and he asked me to bring him his tablets, which I did. I then went to bed, but I woke up a short time later. A voice in my head told me to go back to see him and to say ‘Goodbye’ because I’d never see him again.

“I went back to bed and he died during the night. When I woke up the next morning, my mother and older brothers and sisters — all in their twenties — told me he had died. He was only 63. I told them I already knew. I was sure that the voice in my head had been God, because He also said, ‘Don’t worry, I will be here for you. I will always be your Father’.”

It was certainly sad for her to lose her father aged just 10.

However, this was her answer to the question as to how she “came to faith”, admittedly a fairly soft way of phrasing becoming a Christian.

Did Rosamond Bennett, the leader of Christian Aid Ireland, repent of her sins to God?

Did Rosamond Bennett acknowledge her sinful estate before God and plead with him for forgiveness?

If she did, she certainly didn’t state that to have been the case.

Her story of “coming to faith” is one of emotion and feeling from within her own head, “a voice in my head”, she says.

An experience within her own head of a voice she attributes to God comforting her following the sad passing away of her father is apparently what saved Rosamond Bennett.

The Bible knows nothing of such a method of salvation, as has already been demonstrated in the verses above.

Is this the way that Christian Aid teaches people can be saved?

Such a thought would be enough to make you shudder.

There are other deeply concerning comments made within the interview by Rosamond Bennett.

This includes her implication that God may well be a woman, as well as questioning the existence of what was described in the interview as “hellfire”.

Answering the question of whether she ever gets angry with God (a futile, God dishonouring question, of course), Rosamond Bennett said: “Yes, I do get angry when I see injustice, violence, discrimination and starvation in the world. I don’t just read about these issues, I get to see them first-hand through my work with Christian Aid and it makes me angry and frustrated with God and with people in general, because the issues I see are created by people, not by God. I do express that anger to God, but (S)He can take it!”

Apart from the contradictory nature of her answer, initially saying she gets “angry and frustrated with God” before saying the issues she sees “are created by people, not by God”, it is offensive to God to say you are angry with God.

Look at God’s response to the people through Ezekiel when they express their dissatisfaction at how He executes His will.

Ezekiel 18:29: “Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of the Lord is not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal?”

To dispute with God is vexatious, carnal and futile.

Then there is the offensive and indeed rather silly and infantile comment of saying that “(S)He can take it”.

Of course, God is not a man or a woman as we know it, but rather he is a spirit, even as is demonstrated in the Shorter Catechism.

“God is a Spirit, infinite, eternal, and unchangeable, in his being, wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness, and truth.”

However, throughout the Scriptures, God is referred to as “he”. When Jesus came to earth, He came as a man, not a woman, and it is absolutely pathetic that the leader of a supposedly Christian organisation should pander to, or perhaps be part of, the politically correct nonsense sweeping through the western world.

Then, when asked if she feared “hellfire”, there was another Biblically illiterate answer from Rosamond Bennett.

She said: “No. The imagery of the Scriptures is varied and not always fire-related. It’s more about being on the outside, being banished.”

Let’s see what the Bible says is the portion of those who die outside of Christ.

Revelation 21:8 says: “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

Jesus also confirmed the nature of hell and the fire therein.

When speaking of the rich man and Lazarus, Jesus recounts how he begged for a drop of water to cool his tongue from the fires of hell.

Luke 16:22-24: “…the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.”

Unrepentant souls face an eternity in the fires of hell, rather than just being outside the door of a party, as Rosamond Bennett seems to be implying.

Don’t allow yourself to be misled by any who tries to dumb down the reality of hell, or who tries to minimise or twist the words of God.

Such conduct is the work of the enemies of God.

Let’s not forget this was part of the tactic of the devil when he tempted Eve in the garden.

Genesis 3:1-4: “Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die”.

First he questioned God’s Word, saying “hath God said?”

Then he outright denied God’s Word, saying “ye shall not surely die”.

This is the work of the agents of the devil, to question and then outright deny God’s Word, and look at the damage done in the garden of Eden.

Don’t allow any who denies God’s Word to damage your soul.

Irreversible damage will be done if you do not come to Christ in repentance before you die, in a spirit of brokenness over sin and contrition.

If you are not saved, then won’t you even come to Christ for forgiveness of your sin?

Acts 3:19: “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord”.

2 Peter 3:9: “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

God wants us to repent, He is willing to forgive those who truly seek forgiveness of their sins.

However, if you do not repent, you will spend eternity in the fires of hell, regardless of what the leader of Christian Aid Ireland likes to think.

And if your church is involved with fundraising initiatives supporting the work of Christian Aid, we would encourage you to question the leadership of your church as to what they know of the character and message of that organisation.

Let us ever be unafraid to stand up against any who teach error, regardless of where they are coming from or who they claim to represent.

Jude 1:23: “…hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.”

Ballintoy Church of Ireland’s Rev Patrick Barton making peace with Rome

Colossians 1:18-20: “And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.”

Peace and reconciliation are two of the key buzzwords for ecumenists and apostates in our land.

After all, how could anyone be opposed to peace and reconciliation?

Of course, everyone wants to live in harmony with those around them.

However, these ecumenists who preach of peace and reconciliation do not preach of peace through Jesus Christ’s precious atoning blood, but rather a ‘peace’ of mean compromise with the pagan Church of Rome.

And such misappropriation of the term peace was prevalent in Ballintoy Parish Church last weekend.

That church, based on the north coast of Northern Ireland, played host to a meeting of the ‘Causeway Coast Peace Group’, and the preacher was the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Armagh, Eamon Martin.

Rome refuses to teach the simple, precious gospel message of “peace through the blood of his cross”, but rather theirs is a message of works.

With Rome, salvation is all doing, but with Jesus, salvation is all done.

And this is the central, principal tenet of the Bible, that Christ died on the cross a perfect atoning death that “whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”.

Ephesians 2:8-9 tells us that salvation is not achieved by any good in us.

It says: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

However, despite the fact that Rome steadfastly refuses to preach the way to salvation, instead condemning its followers to the damnation of hell – and as Paul, under the inspiration of God, says in Galatians 1:9: “If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed” – so many so-called Protestant ministers cuddle up with the deceit of Rome, thereby giving credence to its lies.

And this was very evidently the case last weekend in Ballintoy Church of Ireland, whose minister is Rev Patrick Barton (pictured, below), who also holds the charge in Dunseverick and Rathlin Parish Churches (allowing him to do triple the damage!).

This individual is no stranger to ecumenical compromise, as a ‘Coleraine Times’ report online refers to him, along with a Romanist priest, a ‘Father’ Brian Daly, leading prayers at the ‘Blessing of the Boats’ service in nearby Ballycastle.

Given that Rome blasphemously teaches of prayer to Mary and saints, it is once more appropriate for us to ask to whom these prayers were addressed?

1 Timothy 2:5 says: “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus”.

The Causeway Coast Peace Group, according to its entry on the Charity Commission website, is “largely church based”, and among its stated goals is the “promotion of religious harmony”, making it an overtly ecumenical grouping.

It has regularly held meetings in the Roman Catholic chapel in Ballycastle, St Patrick’s and St Brigid’s, with the 2015 edition of its thanksgiving service having a retiring collection in aid of the Corrymeela Community, based in Ballycastle and the home of ecumenism in Ulster.

The 2017 thanksgiving service was also held in that Romish domain and Rev Patrick Barton was, of course, front and centre in this disgraceful sell-out to Rome.

He jointly held the service with his ecumenical chum, ‘Father’ Brian Daly, while the former Presbyterian Church moderator, Dr Frank Sellar (more like Sell-out) was also in attendance.

Attendees, following the conclusion of the service, were then shamefully invited to light a candle and place it on the pagan altar of Rome, all in the name of peace.

However, there can be no peace with Rome until Rome makes peace with God.

Anyone who says or acts contrary to this is as guilty as the prophets condemned by God in the days of Jeremiah.

It says in Jeremiah 6:13-15: “…and from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely. They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace. Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the LORD.”

As we so often see in the Bible, when God pronounces his judgment, he also shows his mercy, but there is a fearful consequence for those who shun this offer of mercy.

That chapter goes on to say in verses 16-20: “Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein. Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken. Therefore hear, ye nations, and know, O congregation, what is among them. Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it. To what purpose cometh there to me incense from Sheba, and the sweet cane from a far country? your burnt offerings are not acceptable, nor your sacrifices sweet unto me.”

The old paths were called the good way, yet today new ecumenical paths are being forged on a regular basis and they are dishonouring to God and the offerings being sent up by such as are involved in this departure from God’s Word “are not acceptable” unto God.

These old paths they refuse to tread or even countenance, instead, they go down crooked paths, which cannot bring peace.

Isaiah 59:8 says: “The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace.”

Isaiah 48:22 says: “There is no peace, saith the Lord, unto the wicked.”

Dear reader, do not seek after the “peace” of this world, but rather the peace that comes through the blood of the cross. Christ offered Himself as a sacrifice for sin that we might be forgiven.

If you are as yet unsaved, would you ask yourself this question: How will you escape if you neglect so great salvation?

God’s offer of salvation is there for all to enjoy, but first you must confess your sins. If you do that, God is faithful and just to forgive you your sins (1 John 1:9).

That is the route to true peace.

Philippians 4:7: “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Senior Anglican figures seek to open floodgates of sin on their church

Two dangerous apostates in high ecclesiastic office are among the figures calling for the Church of England to lose its legal protection against being forced to employ all manner of utterly unsuitable characters within the church.

The Bishop of Liverpool, Right Reverend (more like Wrong Reverend!) Paul Bayes and the Dean of St Paul’s Cathedral, the Very Reverend (more like Very Apostate) David Ison want the Church of England to be forced to employ people regardless of whether they claim to hold a Christian belief and regardless of their sexuality, marital history or “gender identity”.

Mind you, this pair are utterly unsuitable characters themselves as both men are noted apostates and their views on homosexuality are repugnant to the Word of God.

The comments of Wrong Reverend Paul Bayes (pictured, below) in support of his depraved stance are so at odds with God’s Word it is frightening.

He said: “If we mean what we say about opposing homophobia, if we believe what we say about wanting to include everyone, if we believe that God made every one [the way] they are, then what does that imply for our public policies?

“We will advocate for a greater openness and the implication of that is we may have to re-examine the prohibitions that are there in law at the moment.

“I do think we should continue to advocate for greater freedom and in the end who knows what that will mean? It may mean that one day it will be possible for people in a same-sex relationship to have that relationship affirmed in a way that is now illegal and in that case we would have to change the law.”

Very Apostate David Ison (pictured, below) added to the despicable abandonment of Biblical principles. He said: “We have got to come to terms with the reality of the world we’re in and we’re not doing that. That is why we’re becoming disconnected from society.

“My view is that if there is a price to be paid for what you believe in conscience then you should pay that; you should not make other people pay the price for your conscience. That applies to abortion, to issues of sexuality and gender and right across the piste. If it is legal, decent and honest but you don’t believe it is right, then you have to deal with it.”

Where do you start with those comments? Only men who have no knowledge of Christ could speak in such a way.

The first thing we will emphasise, very simply, is what the Bible has to say about the sins they are endorsing, chiefly homosexuality and the madness of the self-deception many people claim to have regarding their gender.

With regards homosexuality, the Bible clearly states it is completely contrary to the laws of decency and the natural order ordained by God.

Leviticus 18:22: “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.”

Romans 1:22-27: “Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.”

That is absolutely crystal clear, one would have thought. However, not so for Wrong Reverend Paul Bayes and Very Apostate David Ison, as well as plenty more members of the clergy who would claim to be Christians.

This madness surrounding gender which is engulfing our land is clearly a perversion of God’s Word.

Genesis 5:2: “Male and female created he them…”

There is no in between zone, no gender transition or any of these other trendy terms circulating now. This notion is anti-Christian.

Deuteronomy 22:5: “The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God.”

When Wrong Reverend Paul Bayes refers to the Church of England wanting to “include everyone” and God making everyone as they are, he is on an evil path of apostasy.

The offer of the gospel is open to everyone. We are told in 2 Peter 3:9: “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

We are also told in John 3:16 that “whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

However, this does not mean that churches should include everyone, regardless of the type of lifestyle they live. When you become a Christian you turn away from previous sins.

2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

Even those who have been guilty of the foulest of sins can obtain forgiveness.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11: “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.”

God doesn’t do business on our terms, we must accept that God is perfect, sinless and hates sin and we must repent of our sin if we are to obtain forgiveness. If we come to Christ as we are, he will forgive us, but if we claim to be a Christian yet remain as we are then that means no true work of salvation has been wrought in our lives. Convincing people to the contrary is the sort of sordid deceit people like Wrong Reverend Paul Bayes and Very Apostate David Ison are propagating.

As for Very Apostate David Ison’s comments, he says that you have to come to terms with the world. However, we are told in Romans 12:2: “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

He then says “you should not make other people pay the price for your conscience”. Yet another anti-Biblical comment!

We are called upon to “earnestly contend for the faith” (Jude v 3) and to “have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them” (Ephesians 5:11).

David Ison has no faith to contend for and he is carrying out the unfruitful works of darkness by endorsing such a diabolical betrayal of his Protestant heritage.

He concludes by saying: “If it is legal, decent and honest but you don’t believe it is right, then you have to deal with it.”

Homosexuality may be legal in the law of the land, but, as we have already stressed, it is a most sinister contravention of God’s law, and it is the furthest thing from decent or honest.

Very Apostate David Ison is on the broad road which leads to destruction.

Further emphasising the despicable perversion of the office of Bishop he is perpetrating, Wrong Reverend Paul Bayes is actually a patron of ‘Gay Pride’ in Liverpool.

This man holds the role of Bishop of Liverpool once held by JC Ryle, one of the godliest men England has ever seen, and it is indicative of how far spiritually the UK has descended that such a character as Wrong Reverend Paul Bayes occupies that position today.

Speaking after the announcement of his patronage of that festival of filth, he said: “I am privileged to identify with our Pride’s contribution to tackling prejudice and promoting awareness of the richness of our LGBTI+ community.

“I myself have been advocating in the church for LGBTI+ inclusion. At the recent meeting of the General Synod the Church of England made some clear and positive statements exploring services of welcome for trans people who want their true identity recognised before God.”

God does indeed recognise their true identity – as sinners who need to come to Him for forgiveness. God makes no mistakes, He didn’t accidentally create someone who is really a man as a woman or vice versa and to suggest anything else is a grievous slur on our God.

In order to counter them, we have had to repeat the vain babblings and blasphemies of unsaved clerics such as Wrong Reverend Paul Bayes and Very Apostate David Ison, who have created a false god to fit around their sinful notions, but we will finish with a quote from a true man of God, the aforementioned JC Ryle, and this also has a clear application for those ecumenical traitors sprinkled throughout churches up and down our United Kingdom.

“Beware of manufacturing a God of your own: a God who is all mercy, but not just; a God who is all love, but not Holy, a God who has a heaven for everybody, but a hell for none; a God who can allow good and bad to be side by side in time, but will make no distinction between good and broad in eternity. Such a God is an idol of your own, as truly an idol as any snake or crocodile in an Egyptian temple. The hands of your own fancy and sentimentality have made him. He is not the God of the Bible, and beside the God of the Bible there is no God at all.”

Church of Ireland in County Monaghan welcomes Romish priest who ‘failed to prevent clerical sex abuse’ into its midst

The Church of Ireland in the town of Clones last night held a ‘community event’ at which Bishop Joseph Duffy (pictured, top) was one of the invited guests.

Bishop Joseph Duffy was the Roman Catholic Bishop of Clogher until his retirement in 2010 and a damning report by the Irish National Board for Safeguarding Children later found that he “failed to prevent clerical sex abuse and did not remove suspected paedophile priests from the ministry”, a Belfast Telegraph report says.

It also says there was “an unacceptable delay” in taking action against one priest, while it was also reported that Bishop Joseph Duffy’s delay came despite concerns being raised of a “credible allegation” in his Clogher diocese.

The event last night in St Tighernagh’s Parish Church was “to remember St Tighernagh, his ministry and his significance to the cross border parish and to the Diocese of Clogher and Clones”, according to the Diocese of Clogher’s website.

The notice further pointed out that in attendance would be “Bishop Joseph Duffy” and the “Bishop of Clogher, the Right Reverend (Right Eejit!) John McDowell”.

Right Eejit John McDowell (pictured, below) is a noted ecumenist and makes sure to be on close terms with the Roman Catholic Bishop of Clogher, attending various events with him and each year producing a joint Christmas message.

Indeed, even though there was no Bishop of Clogher in place at Christmas past following the retirement of the previous incumbent, Right Eejit John McDowell felt the need to issue an ecumenical Christmas message of fluffy pseudo-Christianity with some emissary of Romanist deceit.

His Papal pal last Christmas was ‘Monsignor’ Joseph McGuinness, Diocesan Administrator of Clogher.

And when the previous Roman Catholic Bishop of Clogher, Liam MacDaid retired, Right Eejit John McDowell issued a valedictory statement describing the Romanist priest as his “brother in Christ” and it had been “the greatest privilege to have served our Lord Jesus Christ together”.

They may well have served the same god together, but it most certainly was not the omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent God of heaven.

It was certainly not the risen Christ, who shed His blood at Calvary so that we might come to Him for forgiveness of our sins and be saved from a lost eternity.

And if Right Eejit John McDowell considers Romanists, presumably including this Bishop Joseph Duffy, to be his “brothers in Christ” then we are led to the conclusion that he must believe and be teaching and preaching “another gospel”.

We should not be surprised that ministers are departing from the gospel, as we are warned of it in God’s Word.

2 Timothy 4:3-4: “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”

2 Peter 2:1-2: “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.”

Is not the way of truth being spoken of in an evil manner these days? Is not bitter being put for sweet, and sweet for bitter?

Are we not told that homosexuality is now acceptable, nay, commendable? The Bible has a different view (Romans 1:21-27; Leviticus 18:22).

Are we not told that the murder of unborn children is an acceptable ‘lifestyle choice’? The Bible has a different view (Psalm 139:13-16).

Are we not told how vital it is that Ulster must be jointly governed by murderers and their apologists? The Bible has a different view (Exodus 20:13).

Are we not told that we must join with other churches, regardless of traditional fundamental theological differences, in the name of unity? The Bible has a different view (Ephesians 5:11).

Just because we should not be surprised, it does not mean that we should be silent.

Paul, under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost, exhorted Timothy in 2 Timothy 4:2 to “be instant in season, out of season, reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine”.

He didn’t tell Timothy to be faithful when the going is good and the people are receptive to the message, he was to preach the gospel “out of season”, whenever he was not to receive such a friendly response.

That is certainly the age in which we are living today.

Jude v 3 says that “ye should earnestly contend for the faith”.

There was absolutely no earnest contention for the faith in that church in Clones in County Monaghan last night.

Were there any, they would not have invited along a Papal bishop found to have “failed to prevent clerical sex abuse” and an Anglican bishop who denies the gospel of Christ by calling himself a spiritual brother of a man who has devoted his life to propagating the lies and deceits of the Roman Catholic system, a system which leads lost souls to just one place – hell.

If you are involved with or have loved ones involved with the apostate churches, please follow Christ’s call to “come out from among them, and be ye separate”.

And if you aren’t saved, then call on the precious name of the Lord Jesus Christ for forgiveness “and thou shalt be saved”.

Pope Francis denies existence of hell – what a fool!

“That man of sin, and son of perdition”, the Pope, has declared that there is no hell, it has been reported.

What a rude awakening Argentine pensioner Jorge Mario Bergoglio, otherwise known as Pope Francis, will get when he passes into eternity.

The man who sets himself up as God on earth has added yet another dreadful blasphemy to his list of crimes as he racks up more and more for God to judge him for after he takes his final breath.

Speaking to the founder of the famous Italian newspaper, La Repubblica, the Pope said: “Souls are not punished.

“Those who repent obtain God’s forgiveness and go among the ranks of those who contemplate Him, but those who do not repent and cannot be forgiven disappear.

“There is no hell – there is the disappearance of sinful souls.”

His comments sent senior Roman Catholic figures into overdrive, denying the accuracy of the reports, which is a classic tactic of someone trying to cover up what has actually been said.

Perhaps Mr Bergoglio is hoping there is no hell as he knows he’s heading there, or perhaps this is just another bare-faced lie told by “that Antichrist” to deceive people into ending up in hell.

Whatever his motivation, we can tell Mr Bergoglio and anyone who holds to the same view, there is most assuredly a hell.

How do we know? Because the Bible, the sole rule of faith and practice for believers, tells us so.

We will run through a few scripture proofs to clearly demonstrate this fact.

Revelation 21:8 says: ‘But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

Psalm 9:17 says: “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.”

Matthew 10:28 says: “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”

Psalm 145:20 says: “The Lord preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.”

Notice the punishment for sin is clearly mentioned. There are consequences for your actions. We are reminded of this in Nahum 1:3: “The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked.”

While the Pope claims the unrepentant slip into a state of nothingness, the Bible clearly states that is a lie, and it is a lie straight from the devil, of whom the Pope is the most famous representative on earth. This doctrine espoused by “that man of sin, and son of perdition” claims there are no consequences for sin, no judgement, no punishment.

2 Thessalonians 1:7-9 says: “And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;”

“Everlasting destruction” doesn’t sound much like a simple “disappearance of sinful souls”.

The final judgement of those who deny Christ is recounted for us in Revelation 20:10-15. It says: “And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

That’s what the Bible, God’s inspired Word, has to say regarding hell, so who do you believe? The Almighty God of heaven, or “that Antichrist”, the Pope, who is destined for hell?

We trust that anyone reading this who is not saved will realise the awful fate awaiting them if they don’t repent and will turn to Christ for salvation.

Romans 10:13 says: “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Gerry Adams’ Day is yet to come if he doesn’t repent

Psalm 12:8: “The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.”

It is a symptom of an evil day that the most wicked and depraved of men are held up as icons and heroes.

We know this is a day of departure from godliness and from the fear of God and certainly that message was received loud and clear on St Patrick’s Day in New York, where Mayor Bill de Blasio declared it ‘Gerry Adams Day’.

Gerry Adams (pictured left, with Mayor Bill de Blasio) was until recently the President of Sinn Fein, the political wing of the Provisional IRA, the Roman Catholic republican terrorist group which murdered and maimed thousands of Protestants, as well as many Roman Catholics, during its 30 year murder campaign in Northern Ireland somewhat euphemistically called ‘The Troubles’. He remains an elected member of the Republic of Ireland’s parliament, the Dail.

Gerry Adams claims to have never been a member of the IRA, but this claim is pretty much universally disbelieved and it is widely believed Gerry Adams was a senior member of the IRA Army Council, the body which oversaw the running of this sectarian murder gang.

Among the figures who are hardly friends of the Protestants of Ulster who consider it to be a fact that Adams was a senior member of the IRA’s Army Council are a former parish priest of his, a ‘Father’ Stephen Forde, and former Republic of Ireland Justice Minister Michael McDowell.

‘Father’ Forde’s only quibble, according to state papers, was how high up the pecking order Adams was in the IRA Army Council, claiming he was “number three” in the chain of command.

The IRA murdered 2,000 people during their period of armed uprising against the lawful British state in Northern Ireland, as well as leaving thousands of others suffering physical and emotional scars from their barbarous campaign.

Regardless of whether you’re in the minuscule group of people who believe he was never in the IRA, it is beyond contention that Adams was an enthusiastic cheerleader of the organisation and was a prominent spokesperson for this group, justifying the murder of Protestants simply because of their religion.

Then there is the fact that Gerry Adams knew of the sexual abuse of his niece by her father, Gerry Adams’ brother, years before the police were finally informed of the fact.

For the Mayor of New York Bill de Blasio to hold up someone like Gerry Adams as a role model is utterly perverse and God pronounces his judgement on such actions. Isaiah 5:20 says: “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”

So it is frankly shocking that any day should be declared ‘Gerry Adams Day’, given his despicable credentials.

There is a familiar catchphrase of the Irish republican movement – Tiocfaidh ar la (the first word pronounced ‘chucky’), which means literally ‘our day will come’.

In a sense, we are living in what could spiritually be called, ‘Gerry Adams Day’, and Gerry Adams’ Day could be seen to have come. This is a day when evil is being rewarded and it can often appear there are no consequences for the evil actions of sinners.

Certainly this has been the mistaken observations even of God’s people. In Psalm 73:2-9,11-12, Asaph said: “But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped. For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm. They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men. Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment. Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish. They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily. They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth. And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High? Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.”

Is not Gerry Adams prospering? Do his riches not increase? Does he not speak loftily? Has he not set himself against the heavens? Most tellingly perhaps of all, does not violence cover him as a garment?

Asaph confessed here that his “feet were almost gone” and his “steps had well nigh slipped” because it appeared that there were no consequences for evil doing.

However, God showed Asaph the error of his thinking and revealed to him, when he drew near to Him, the fate awaiting unrepentant sinners.

Psalm 73:17-20 says: “Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end. Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction. How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors. As a dream when one awaketh; so, O Lord, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image.”

God despises the image of Gerry Adams and his ilk and will cast him down into destruction, if he fails to repent.

A day will come for unrepentant sinners, and that is the day of judgement.

The ultimate destiny of unrepentant sinners is clearly set forth in Revelation 21:8. It says: “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

Pray that sinners, including Gerry Adams and those like Bill de Blasio who exalt him, will turn from their wicked ways and turn to God as their own and personal Saviour and pray that God will convict sinners of their iniquities and convince them of their need of salvation.

And please pray that a day of revival will come in Ulster and further afield.

If anyone reading this is not saved, you are in the same danger as the most hardened of IRA killers or their cheerleaders.

There is a glorious cure to this danger and that is the precious blood of Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 1:7: “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;”

We can obtain this by calling on Him. Acts 16:31 says: “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.”

We pray that any unconverted readers will feel God speaking to them and take this most vital step even today.

The Bible alone – the only ‘gay conversion therapy’ required

The politically correct brigade have been getting awfully worked up over an event held in a Belfast Church of Ireland fellowship dealing with so-called ‘gay Christians’.

Of course, LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) rights are all the rage at the moment, so any voice of dissent from the accepted wisdom, no matter how low or squeaky, will be howled down instantly by a chorus of intolerant ‘liberals’.

Willowfield Parish Church ran an event yesterday called ‘Is Your Church Biblically Inclusive?’ It is part of what is called the Living Out Course and is “designed for those who are, or want to be, a committed Christian but identify as homosexual”. It is operated with the support of the Evangelical Alliance, which took a rather foolish viewpoint on Billy Graham two weeks ago.

The church’s minister, Rev David McClay (pictured), said this was not tantamount to a ‘gay cure therapy’ session, and claimed that his congregation contains homosexuals every week.

It is good that Rev McClay is at least acknowledging that the homosexual lifestyle is far from desirable and is incompatible with God’s Word.

However, it is most odd that any professing Christian should consider it appropriate for other Christians to identify themselves as a ‘gay Christian’. And it is stranger still that anyone should consider themselves a ‘gay Christian’.

When a person is saved, they publicly reject and repudiate sin in all its forms and strive each day to become more Christ like. They don’t continue to identify themselves with a vile sin such as homosexuality. Would anyone identify themselves as an ‘adulterer Christian’ or a ‘thieving Christian’? We would think not.

The most important comments to be made on the matter are, as always, to be found in the Bible.

Genesis 2:24 “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.”

These verses clearly establish the natural order set by God and leaves no room for same-sex relationships, never mind same-sex marriage.

Why would a professing Christian want to associate themselves with something so profoundly contrary to God’s will? God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because of the sin of homosexuality and God is “the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever” (Hebrews 13:8), so why should anyone think God actually doesn’t mind it now?

There is a cure for homosexual urges, just like there is a cure for any other sinful desire, and that is the Word of God, where God’s great Salvation is revealed to us.

In the Corinthian church, we are told that some of the Christians there had previously practiced homosexuality, but had been gloriously converted.

It says in 1 Corinthians 6:9-11: “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.”

Some of the Corinthians had been “effeminate” and “abusers of themselves with mankind” but they had been wonderfully saved through the atoning work of our Lord Jesus Christ, who shed His blood on Calvary to wash away our sins.

This clearly states such as those listed, including the homosexuals, shall not inherit the Kingdom of God. Why, again, would professing Christians then want to associate themselves with this practice?

We are told in the Bible of God’s transformative power, how when we are saved then we become a new person. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says: “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

If this should happen to be read by any who are experiencing issues over sexuality and Christianity and are afraid to get saved as they are unsure whether they can remain faithful to God, the Bible reminds us it is He who, once He transforms us, then preserves us. It is our natural disposition to sin in so many different ways since the Fall of Man in the Garden of Eden, but, if we are saved, God will strengthen us.

1 Peter 1:3-5 says: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.”

Perhaps Rev McClay and the Evangelical Alliance would do well to stress these things with any homosexuals professing to be Christians they encounter from here on.

Misguided followers of Emmanuel leader Alain Emerson side with him against God

Our recent articles exposing the Emmanuel leader Alain Emerson leading an ecumenical meeting in St Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church in Belfast and his endorsement of the utterly unbiblical Taizé worship at that same meeting have received a lot of attention.This has been manifested through incredible numbers of views of those specific articles and numerous messages communicated to us.

We have been very heartened by the level of support we have received for our stance, however, there have been several negative comments too and this is something we feel led to address in a specific post.

All of the complaints are full of the typical response of someone who knows they can’t actually back up their argument with scripture, nor can they say what exactly is incorrect in what we have written.

There is a very good reason for this – it is simply that they cannot. They either know deep down that what is being said is correct or they are so blinded by their own ecumenical desire that they cannot see God hates this mingling of the seed.

A favoured argument is that Jesus would not have been so strong in what He would have said. In our response to a comment from an Anglican called ‘Jono’, we pointed out how Jesus took physical action to rid the temple of its polluters, the money changers. He cast out the money changers, turned over their tables and, we are told in John 2 that he made a “scourge (whip) of small cords”.

Another individual got in contact to say: “I’ve literally never read anything so inaccurate, twisting scripture to their own end and generally missing the point of what Jesus, his message and the cross was all about.”

What we have said that was inaccurate? Did Alain Emerson take a meeting in a Roman Catholic Church? Did he take part in the Taizé worship? He is photographed on the Four Corners Festival Twitter page leading the meeting, the picture of which we have attached just below. So it is demonstrably true, meaning this spurious comment is demonstrably untrue.

As for the scripture, there was no twisting. We looked at the facts of the situation and looked at what the Bible had to say on this matter. Does Simon have any scripture demonstrating how idolatry is good? Or how worshipping with idolaters is good? Jesus dined with sinners, but He didn’t water down his message to please them. Nor did He take part in idolatrous worship practices.

Then there was also a ‘Paul Kissick’, who messaged us within a few minutes of ‘Simon’ (organisation?).

He had this to say: “This is nothing but an attack on a man. Alain Emerson is one of the most humblest (sic) Godly men that is on the planet and this is nothing more than an attack on his character. This whole article is steeped in traditionalism and religion and shows very little of the grace and love and relationships of Jesus Christ our saviour.”

We have no personal issue with Alain Emerson. Nobody involved with Protestant Revival has ever knowingly met him. Had we not been aware of the Four Corners Festival and its events, we would have not even been aware of his particular activities. It didn’t matter which so-called evangelical Christian leader would have taken that meeting, the message would have been exactly the same.

The fact remains that Alain Emerson is guilty of a serious misjudgement at best; one which is highly dangerous as it helps to give credence to the Church of Rome, an anti-Christian, pagan organisation. It also could give the Emmanuel’s adherents reason, wrongly, to think that religious association with Rome is acceptable. This is wrong, the Bible says to “have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them” (Ephesians 5:11).

As for the traditionalism and religion comments, we’re not overly sure what he means. Does Paul Kissick disapprove of traditional Biblical Christianity? It was traditional Biblical Christianity which God rewarded in the Reformation, the 1859 Revival in Ulster, in the days of WP Nicholson and in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s in Ulster through Ian Paisley.

The name of this blog neatly fits in with our desire – to see a Protestant Revival, for Protestantism is true Biblical Christianity. Revival won’t come through mean compromise with Rome, with its corrupt gospel of works. Revival can only come through faithfulness to all of God’s Word, not just the pleasant on the ears bits like “love thy neighbour” or “God is love”, that our commenters seem to favour.

While those parts are important, one needs to remember that God is a God of justice and is far from the Santa Claus in the clouds idea many so-called Christians seem to envisage. We are told in Nahum 1:3 that the Lord “will not at all acquit the wicked”.

Perhaps the modernist would shriek with great discomfort if they read Revelation 6:10-11. These verses speak of those martyred for Christ who want to see the culprits brought to justice. They say: “And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.”

God did not rebuke them for wanting their blood to be avenged, he just let them know gently the time would come, but just not yet.

It would appear that these commenters would have liked us to have said nothing and let Alain Emerson get on with his ecumenical activities. However, this is not an option.

Isaiah was told that in Isaiah 58:1 and it is an example for us to follow. It says: “Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.”

Not one verse of scripture was offered up in support of the position of our detractors, and we would advise them to consult the Bible to see if God’s approval would be on the meeting Alain Emerson led in St Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church. We would also advise them to ask Alain Emerson if he believes the venue and worship style employed at that meeting was pleasing to God.

There would be those who say this was an outreach to Roman Catholics. Did Alain Emerson clearly present the gospel of Christ? Did he say that Rome leads sinners straight to hell, whilst extracting as much money from them as possible en route? Did he say that salvation was by grace alone, through faith alone in Christ alone? Had he done so, he would have been out on his ear so fast it would have made his head spin. He wouldn’t have been receiving favourable tweets from the Jesuit priest who co-organised the event, a ‘Father’ Magill.

The Bible offers the route to revival. In 2 Chronicles 7:14 we read: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

Our land will not be healed by ecumenical talking shops and non-aggression pacts between supposedly Bible believing Protestant churches and the deceit of the Roman Catholic Church.
