Crown Jesus Ministries’ Mitch shows his support for the Pope yet again

2 Corinthians 11:13-15: “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”

It really is so brazen, surely nobody can be left in any doubt of the disgraceful, ecumenical nature of the “ministry” of ‘Mitch’, (because his actual name, Keith Mitchell is nowhere near cool enough for his type of ‘church’) of the Belfast based Crown Jesus Ministries.

Yet again Mitch has blatantly, overtly, deliberately endorsed “that Antichrist”, the God blaspheming Romish Pope, on his Twitter page to his more than 3,000 followers.

Taking to Twitter on Tuesday past, Keith Mitchell (sorry, ‘Mitch’), posted the following message:

“A Christian, who in these times is not a revolutionary, is no Christian”. POPE FRANCIS

The inclusion of the name of that “son of perdition” in block capitals is what Keith Mitchell (sorry, ‘Mitch’) chose to do, as if he is deliberately drawing attention to his compromise.

That is certainly how it would appear – what is the need otherwise for him to put it in block capitals?

And, to further ensure we got his message of foul ecumenical compromise, his same tweet then includes a little graphic of the same quote, again noted as being from “that Antichrist” himself.

You can see the tweet for yourself, pictured below.

The tweet attracted just a single ‘like’, though so do many of his tweets, but it is very telling to see from whom it came.

It was none other than Keith’s (sorry, Mitch’s) good old Romanist chum Ron Huntley of the Papist grouping, Divine Renovation Ministry.

We previously highlighted how Mitch disgracefully had this avowed adherent of the Roman Catholic false doctrines in his church in Belfast last October to teach his church’s members.

Ron Huntley’s group says, on its website, that one of its key priorities is to see the “power of the Holy Spirit held together by the celebration of the Eucharist”, which, for Rome, is the blasphemous mass, where Christ is blasphemously offered up again and again and again.

Does Keith Mitchell (sorry, ‘Mitch’, because Peter, Paul, Isaiah, Jeremiah and other Biblical figures were keen on giving themselves matey monikers to make themselves look cooler) agree with this blasphemous mass? If he doesn’t, why is he taking anything to do with Ron Huntley of Divine Renovation Ministry and why is he promoting the Pope on his Twitter page?

Both Rome and Biblical Christianity cannot be right and, by acting how he is, Keith Mitchell (sorry, ‘Mitch’) is clearly siding with Rome.

The Eucharist which his pals Pope Francis and Ron Huntley uphold is an outrage against our Saviour and serves purely to deny and denigrate the all-sufficient sacrifice of Christ at Calvary.

There are numerous passages which clearly outline this. We will include just two clear examples.

Romans 6:9-10 says: “Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.”

Hebrews 7:24-27: “But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.”

Note the latter part of the second passage clearly proves the falseness of the Romish position.

Christ “needeth not daily, to offer up sacrifice”.

What does Rome do? It offers up daily, oftentimes more than daily, sacrifice of their imagined, blasphemous version of Christ.

But Keith Mitchell (sorry, ‘Mitch’) is far too cool to worry about absolutely vital theological points like that, isn’t he?

In addition to the blasphemous mass, Rome falsely teaches of a fictional holding cell between heaven and hell called purgatory, it teaches of prayer to so-called long dead ‘saints’ and to Mary (indeed, May is a month Rome sets aside for devotion to Mary), it teaches that the Pope, Mitch’s hero, is the “vicar of Christ on earth”, among other blasphemous titles ascribed to that old deceiver, and worst of all, teaches that salvation comes through our own works, our own merit and our own earning.

That last point is absolutely crucial as it damns lost sinners to hell, poor lost sinners seeking to merit a place in heaven, something which is absolutely impossible for us to do.

God’s Word could not be clearer on this matter.

Titus 3:5-7 says: “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.”

It is “not by works of righteousness which we have done”, but rather God’s “mercy” which has “saved us” who are saved.

Ephesians 2:8-9 says: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

That famous passage from Ephesians is so clear and obvious that one must wonder how any could not see clearly that salvation is NOT earned, yet Rome persists in teaching their blasphemous false gospel and Keith Mitchell (sorry, ‘Mitch’) is happy to walk hand in hand with and promote the teachings of such hellish deceivers and deceptions.

As we have already stated when referring to ‘Mitch’ bringing in Romanist Ron Huntley of Divine Renovation Ministry to his church, ‘Mitch’ has a track record for such Popish pandering.

Indeed, this is not the first time he has quoted “that Antichrist” on Twitter.

Back in June last year, he did the same thing as he supported and encouraged another determined compromiser and ecumenist, Methodist minister Rev John Alderdice as the latter preached at the God-denying Romanist novena mass in Clonard Monastery in west Belfast.

Indeed, pictured above you can see Rev John Alderdice sitting, second left, as the priest blasphemously lifts the wafer above his head and claims Jesus is truly present in the wafer and in the wine.

Mitch’s response? To tell Rev John Alderdice he was “cheering him on” and quote Pope Francis extolling the so-called virtues of ‘church unity’. You can see the exchange for yourself, pictured below.

This is more than a one-off, an aberration, an errant move, this is part of a consistent pattern.

Why is ‘Mitch’ consistently cosying up with Popery? Why is he repeatedly favourably quoting the very man who denies the gospel message of salvation freely offered by grace through faith alone?

Does ‘Mitch’ himself believe that salvation comes through faith alone in Christ alone?

After all, last autumn he claimed that 44 young, impressionable people, were saved from a lost eternity in hell by… taking a booklet.

That is most certainly not the gospel message, despite what ‘Mitch’ may try to say and despite his pathetic efforts to equivocate after the event following a very gentle enquiry by a Baptist lady who felt the need to then tell us we should remove our article based on his risible response.

Indeed, the same lady has also contacted us of late to complain about our mentioning the compromise which is very much visible in the public ministry of Newtownbreda Baptist Church, led by Pastor Trevor Ramsey (pictured, below).

However, Newtownbreda Baptist Church is one of four churches, along with UT Belfast, Orangefield Presbyterian Church and CFC Belfast, which have forged a very close link with Crown Jesus Ministries over the past period of time.

This includes running events together, such as the very aptly named (for an ecumenical venture) Just One conference last year, headline by Canon J John, who was an active part of the charismatic deceits of the Toronto Blessing movement and launching a prayer guide together, in which they have favourably quoted US heretic Rick Warren.

In fact Pastor Trevor Ramsey appeared on a recent webinar with ‘Mitch’ organised by the Ecumenical Alliance, sorry, Evangelical Alliance, of which both churches are members, and stated he was “happy” to be doing so.

Is he happy to be forging such close links with a man who is repeatedly quoting the Pope of Rome in a favourable light?

Is this something which sits comfortably with him and the people who attend his church?

Surely fellowshipping with a man who is “cheering” other ministers on as they take part in a blasphemous mass service and is repeatedly quoting the Pope is something a discerning preacher would cross the road to stay clear of?

Seemingly, such things are not a concern for Pastor Trevor Ramsey.

Dear reader, please raise your voice in objection to this terrible compromise and, if you are involved with Crown Jesus Ministries would you please separate yourself from it.

If you are involved with Newtownbreda Baptist Church, UT Belfast, CFC Belfast or Orangefield Presbyterian Church would you not separate yourself and urge those you know connected with these churches to do likewise.

Such links with a man promoting Popery and unity with Rome are not pleasing to God.

Let us strive to ever be more like Him, to follow Biblical separation and stand foursquare for Christ in this evil day of compromise and apostasy.

Romans 16:17-18: “Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.”

Saved by taking a booklet – the shoddy ‘salvation’ of Mitch and Crown Jesus Ministries

Ezekiel 33:7-9: “So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me. When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.”

On numerous occasions we have highlighted the easy-believist movement at large in many churches in our land, particularly prevalent in charismatic / Pentecostal type gatherings.

For many of these churches, simply stating that you believe there is a God, attending whichever charismatic, seeker-friendly fellowship is all the rage at the time and saying you want to do things for God is enough to have you classified as being saved (a word being increasingly abused by the charismatic movement).

Indeed, were all the people truly saved at all these meetings ran by charismatics then we would be living in a time of revival. Alas, we are not.

However, rarely is the nakedness of such easy-believist hyperbole exposed so clearly and admitted so openly as by the man known by the matey moniker of Mitch of Crown Jesus Ministries in Belfast.

Rather excitingly, we discovered following his recent appearance in Alf McCreary’s ‘What I Believe’ series with religious figures each Saturday in the Belfast Telegraph (which, with a few exceptions, might have been better titled ‘Heretic of the Week’), that good old Mitch’s real name is Keith Mitchell. Well worth the purchasing price of the paper alone!

Mitch took to Twitter during the week to highlight the shameful depths that so many church leaders go to in an effort to make it seem like they are bringing so many people into the fold of Christ.

He claimed that 44 pupils were saved at a Scripture Union event he spoke at by… taking a booklet.

That’s right, 44 young people were saved by sticking their hand out and accepting a booklet he handed to them.

Well, if it were that easy we would be getting on the main street of every town in Northern Ireland and prising people’s hands open to get them to take a booklet off us.

This is what he said on Twitter (which you can see for yourself, pictured, below):

“The Gospel still works.
44 pupils took booklets as their way of saying YES to Jesus.”

That might be their way of saying yes to Jesus, or perhaps to phrase it better, Keith’s (aka Mitch’s) way of saying people say yes to Jesus, but it’s not the way the Bible says we are to come to Jesus.

Ephesians 2:8-9 says: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Romans 10:9-10 says: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

1 John 1:7-9 says: “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

There are countless other examples we could give but that surely offers a flavour of the way by which we are saved.

Ephesians 2:8 says we are saved by grace through faith, not by taking a booklet.

Romans 10:10 says that by our mouth “confession is made unto salvation”, not by our hand reception of a booklet is made unto salvation.

1 John 1:9 says we can be cleansed of all unrighteousness by confessing our sins to God, not that we can be cleansed by taking a booklet off Keith (aka Mitch) or any other easy-believist.

Keith’s (aka Mitch’s) doctrine of salvation is not to be found anywhere in the Bible but is rather a figment of his own imagination.

The passage at the top of this article speaks of how the blood of the unsaved is on the hand of the watchman who fails to warn them of the danger they are in.

If Keith (aka Mitch) is preaching that accepting a (presumably) religious pamphlet makes you fit for heaven, then he is most definitely not speaking to warn the wicked from his way.

To do such to young people, who are generally more impressionable and easily influenced, makes it all the more reprehensible.

Of course, Keith’s (aka Mitch’s) previous form means we should not be too surprised when we see him propagating a false gospel.

Only last month we highlighted his disgraceful promotion of another false gospel, that of Romanism.

He brought in a Ron Huntley of Divine Renovation Ministry to spread his false message.

And over the summer he was one of the headline speakers at the charismatic Open Skies festival where the ungodly prayer brainwashing technique of ‘sozo’ was taught.

This is a man who is as those warned against in Ephesians 4:14, which says: “That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive”.

Separation from Keith (aka Mitch) and Crown Jesus Ministries ought to be practised by all discerning believers.

We have previously faithfully warned Newtownbreda Baptist Church against its association with Crown Jesus Ministries and Keith (aka Mitch).

Will Newtownbreda Baptist Church and its minister, Pastor Trevor Ramsey, heed this warning and disassociate themselves from a church whose leader preaches salvation comes from accepting a booklet?

We hope and pray that they and he will do just that and we pray that all who hold the Word of God dear in our land will do likewise and be unafraid and unashamed to take their stand for Christ in this wicked day and generation.

Jeremiah 6:13-14: “For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely. They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.”

Crown Jesus Ministries’ Mitch brings Romanism into his church

Ephesians 5:11: “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”

The great ecumenical lie and deceit continues to be a blight on the religious landscape of Ulster as so many church leaders refuse to be separated from falsehood.

Indeed, more than refusing to be separated from falsehood, they enthusiastically support associating with it and encourage others to do so too.

And that is exactly what is happening at the allegedly evangelical Crown Jesus Ministries in Belfast.

Led by the self-proclaimed evangelist, known only by the matey moniker of Mitch, Crown Jesus Ministries is very much an example of a common or garden variety shallow charismatic fellowship, where posting inspirational quotes online and raising your hands in the air to a ‘Christian’ rock track are the acid tests of godliness.

Don’t worry about whether your practices tally up with Scripture, that is dreadfully old-fashioned and, gasp, judgmental.

Concerns over following the Bible safely discarded (for now, Ecclesiastes 8:11-13), Mitch of Crown Jesus Ministries is proudly trumpeting an event his church will be hosting this Monday afternoon, from 2-4pm.

He will be bringing in to his church, and recommending him as someone admirable and worthy of emulation, a man called Ron Huntley (pictured, below) of Divine Renovation Ministry.

Probably one of your first questions when you hear these names is, what is Divine Renovation Ministry?

Well, this is how they describe themselves on their own website.

They say: “Divine Renovation was birthed out of a real experience of renewal. Fr. James Mallon along with the team at Saint Benedict Parish in Halifax, Canada transformed their parish into a vibrant community of missionary disciples.”

And how do they do this?

“We believe that there are three keys to parish renewal: the primacy of evangelization, the best of leadership principles, and the power of the Holy Spirit held together by the celebration of the Eucharist.”

So it is a Romanist movement aimed at freshening up the age profile of the Roman Catholic Church.

And one of the keys, as they see it, is to see the “power of the Holy Spirit held together by the celebration of the Eucharist”.

The Roman Catholic Eucharist, or the Mass, is a blasphemy.

Rome claims, each time they hold the Mass, they are sacrificing Christ again and again and again and that the bread and wine literally becomes the body and blood of Christ.

Leaving aside what it makes us if we eat the body and blood of another, this is simply a perversion of what the Scripture teaches.

We are told in no uncertain terms that Christ’s sacrifice was once for sin for ever. There is no repeat, no continuation, it has been done.

Hebrews 10:10-14: “By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.”

There you go – we are “sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all”, Christ “offered one sacrifice for sins for ever” and “by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified”.

This is crystal clear stuff.

Where is Christ now? He is “sat down on the right hand of God”.

He is not being repeatedly or continuously offered as a sacrifice for sin by some Romish priest.

That priesthood was abolished, even as the text above states when it says “every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins”.

What a glorious passage this is and what a comprehensive debunking of the lies and deceits of Rome surrounding their perverted Eucharist.

Paul, as the author of Hebrews, was crystal clear on this.

So, too, most inconveniently for the Romanists, was Peter, who they falsely claim was their first Pope, a blasphemous position that Peter would have despised and which any true believer ought to hate as well.

1 Peter 3:18 says: “For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit”.

Yet this blasphemy is a central tenet of the work being carried out by Divine Renovation Ministry, who supposed evangelical Mitch of Crown Jesus Ministries is trumpeting as a great and encouraging example to follow.

He ought to be ashamed of himself.

Ron Huntley is one of the leading figures in this Romanist deceit, and he is also a leading proponent of the leaven-filled Alpha Course. The very fact Rome embraces the Alpha Course really tells you all you need to know about it.

In promoting the appearance of Ron Huntley at Crown Jesus Ministries, Mitch said this on his Twitter page (also pictured, below): “We are thrilled to have Ron Huntley from Divine Renovation Ministry with us on Monday, 21st October at Crown Jesus. Ron will be with us all the way from Canada to share his experience of a Catholic Ministry with a heart for developing missional parishes.”

Of course, “Catholic” may give some people a warning but it could equally be used in the actual meaning of the word, which means “all-embracing”, and may be used, grammatically correctly, by any church really.

That is why the term Roman Catholic is useful to help make it clear what we are talking about when we discuss what is generally known as Catholicism.

Regardless of whether Mitch is trying to obscure the “Catholic” aspect or not, he is quite simply promoting a man and organisation who are in open rebellion against God.

Sadly, this is not the first time that Mitch has chosen Romish compromise over faithfulness to God’s Word.

Indeed, when Methodist minister Rev John Alderdice (pictured, above) engaged in his truly despicable ecumenical betrayal of the gospel by preaching at the Clonard Monastery Novena in June (which you can read about by clicking here) and bringing attention to it on his Twitter page, who was quick to comment and cheer him on?

Crown Jesus Ministries’ Mitch, of course.

After asking Rev John Alderdice (pictured, below as the blasphemous Mass is offered) how he got on, with a praying emoji beside his comment, the Methodist compromiser said it was “incredible”.

The response from Mitch? He said he was “cheering you on bro” before quoting “that Antichrist”, the Pope.

The quote was: “Diversity is not a threat to church unity. The Holy Spirit, sent by the Father and the Son, transforms our hearts and enables us to enter into the perfect communion of the blessed Trinity, where all things find their unity.”

Mitch ended his comment with #PopeFrancis. You can see it, pictured below.

So there you go – Mitch is promoting the Pope’s sinful utterances and supporting ecumenical fellowship with those who are espousing hellish doctrines.

Those hellish doctrines, of course, include the blasphemous Mass we have already referenced above, the lie of purgatory, the sinful titles taken upon himself by the Pope, the worship of Mary and prayers to saints and for the dead, as well as, worst of all, its absolute and total denial of the precious doctrine of salvation by faith alone in Christ alone.

Crown Jesus Ministries, just yesterday (Friday), hosted an event entitled ‘Evangelists Gathering 2019’, with two guest speakers.

The first was David Legge, a formerly traditional preacher who has, for whatever sad reason, descended into the charismatic, easy-believist deceit movement in Ulster, whose antics you can read about by clicking here.

The second was Pastor Tim Robinson (pictured, above) of a church which seems to keep popping up in God-dishonouring events and alongside God-dishonouring characters.

That church is Newtownbreda Baptist Church, based in east Belfast.

Its lead minister is Pastor Trevor Ramsey, a big pal of ‘Papist’ Peter Lynas and enthusiastic member of the Evangelical Alliance.

Pastor Trevor Ramsey (pictured, below) has also invited in a comedian to Newtownbreda Baptist Church in an attempt to laugh people into heaven and promoted a venture called ‘Just One’, headlined by ‘intoxicated’ evangelist Canon J John.

A host of churches took part in that venture, including ‘prophetic art’ promoting CFC Belfast and, of course Mitch’s Crown Jesus Ministries.

We are forced to ask the question yet again of Pastor Trevor Ramsey and Newtownbreda Baptist Church – are they supporters of ecumenical compromise with Rome?

Previously Pastor Trevor Ramsey has claimed he isn’t, but actions speak louder than words and his church is repeatedly linking up with Crown Jesus Ministries and Mitch, a man who is continually promoting and supporting ecumenical fellowship with Rome.

It would certainly appear to be a situation of trying to have his cake and eat it.

Matthew 6:24 warns: “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”

Which is it for Newtownbreda Baptist Church and Pastor Trevor Ramsey?

Is prioritising faithfulness to God’s Word his priority, or is fellowshipping with churches bringing shame to the church of Christ his main objective?

It cannot be both.

We would encourage anyone reading this to share this article widely to ensure these characters are challenged and questioned for their continually damaging the cause of Christ in this land.

And we would urge separation from Crown Jesus Ministries, Newtownbreda Baptist Church and the Evangelical Alliance, as well as any meeting led by David Legge.

In this increasingly sinful age, where a lax attitude has swept through so much of the professing church, we need to be ever-vigilant and ever-ready to speak out against falsehood and error.

1 Peter 5:8: “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour”.

Isaiah 58:1: “Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.”
