Psalm 1:1,6: “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.”
The Evangelical Alliance has joined the Pope in enthusiastically supporting the truly ecumenical and ungodly ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ prayer event.
Gavin Calver (pictured, top) is the Director of Mission at the Evangelical Alliance and, in an article advertising ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ on the Evangelical Alliance UK website, it is stated that Gavin Calver is “among the Christian leaders who are supporting the drive in England”.
That same article highlights the primary ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ gathering in the UK, which was held at Trafalgar Square, and it was led by the Arch-apostate of Canterbury Justin Welby, who founded the event and gained the Pope’s blessing of it, Bishop of London Sarah Mullally (pictured, below, whose unscriptural role as a ‘minister’ we previously highlighted here), and Roman Catholic Cardinal Vincent Nichols.
When Rome gets behind an initiative you can be sure it is not honouring to God as Rome rejects the teachings of God’s Word on so many vital things.
Indeed, we have gone over these on so many occasions that any who read this page and refuse to accept this very simple fact are, sad to say, either very foolish or wilful Christ-rejecters.
There can be no fellowship with Rome while Rome rejects and denies the one true way to salvation, which is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Yet here we have the Evangelical Alliance, which claims to be faithful to God, promoting fellowship with the pagan corruption of true Christianity that is Rome.
It is a despicable thing for any who profess Christ to do.
Gavin Calver, along with his wife Anne, is among the guest speakers lined up for next month’s New Wine Conference in Sligo.
The New Wine Conference is an ecumenical festival, boasting Romanist speakers, and this year is no different as Paddy Monaghan of the ‘Evangelical Catholic Initiative’, a member of the blasphemous Legion of Mary, will be speaking. You can read more about that by clicking here.
Given Gavin Calver is “supporting the drive” in favour of compromise and polluted worship alongside Christ-denying Romanists at ‘Thy Kingdom Come’, it is no surprise to see him engaging with an event which has ignored God’s warnings regarding separation.
However, it is vitally important that all true children of God know that the Evangelical Alliance is betraying God’s Word and is indeed responsible for the promotion of “another gospel”.
This other gospel the Evangelical Alliance is propagating is one where it doesn’t actually matter what we believe and whether a church actively, repeatedly and deliberately blasphemes Christ, as Rome does in the Mass.
This form of doctrinal free for all can only lead to confusion and ignorance of why we need to be separate from the errors of Rome and other false teachers.
Hosea 4:6 warns of the terrible consequences that such ignorance, which is actively fostered and encouraged in the name of unity, causes, when it says: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.”
The Evangelical Alliance is ever day by day undermining the true gospel message by continually promoting or excusing that which is offensive to God.
One of its leading figures in the UK, Gavin Calver is promoting uniting with Rome through the Pope backed ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ Initiative and by speaking at a supposedly Christian conference also addressed by a member of the Legion of Mary, an organisation set up to blasphemously venerate the earthly mother of Jesus.
The Evangelical Alliance leader in Northern Ireland, Peter Lynas (pictured, below), is a hardened ecumenist, who appears utterly set on rejecting God’s Word.
We will not go into listing all of his unscriptural actions and comments, but you can read about his antics, unbecoming for a supposed Christian leader, by clicking here.
They do, however, include criticising any who dare to speak out against supposed Protestant leaders meeting the Pope and suggesting churches create transgender toilets.
Also reported in the aforementioned article on the Evangelical Alliance website is the fact that a ‘Rev’ Michaela Youngson (1 Timothy 2:12), President of the Methodist Church in England, is “among the leaders of Christian networks and denominations who are supporting the initiative in England this year”.
‘Rev’ Michaela Youngson is the Chair of the ecumenical grouping, Churches Together in South London, which is supported by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Southwark.
This woman is an ardent ecumenist, helping lead unholy mingling with error in the UK, yet the Evangelical Alliance is happy to join with the likes of ‘Rev’ Michaela Youngson in offering up polluted worship.
Many churches are linked with this group, and we have named several Baptist churches and even one Congregational church in Northern Ireland who are members of the Evangelical Alliance.
And we would encourage all readers, whether you are in Northern Ireland, elsewhere in the UK or wherever else further afield the Evangelical Alliance has influence, to warn against this grouping which is steadily descending into grave compromise with dreadful error.
To any who may find their church or that of friends, neighbours or family members tied up with this ungodly organisation, we repeat the cry written so long ago for our good by the Apostle Paul, written under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost.
2 Corinthians 6:17: “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing”.
