Ballymena a town beset with charismatic deceit as new Mid Antrim Vineyard church is founded

Jeremiah 12:10: “Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness.”

No doubt most readers will be familiar with the old saying, it never rains but it pours.

It essentially means that unwelcome occurrences come thick and fast one after the other or all at the same time.

And one might apply that to Ballymena in County Antrim, a town already troubled by the charismatic, Wrightbus-linked Green Pastures Church and now faced with a new church in a similar, shallow, easy-believist vein.

That church is Mid Antrim Vineyard, formed out of the extremely troubling Causeway Coast Vineyard church, based in Coleraine on the north coast of Northern Ireland.

It will be ran by Hugh and Alyson Reid (pictured, top), who have apparently been part of Causeway Coast Vineyard for the past 10 years and live in the Ballymena area.

As we have discussed on numerous occasions, anything associated with Causeway Coast Vineyard, or indeed the Vineyard movement in general, ought to be treated with the utmost of caution.

Infamously, the former lead pastor of Causeway Coast Vineyard, Alan Scott (pictured, below), told his sadly credulous followers when speaking at Causeway Coast Vineyard that he was “all in” with the Pope and poured scorn on the notion one could be opposed to the worship of Mary through the rosary, a dreadful Romish blasphemy and deceit.

Was he swiftly ejected from the pulpit (well, stage, pulpits are terribly old fashioned don’t you know?) and told in no uncertain terms such Christ-denying blasphemy would not be tolerated?

Of course not – he continued without fear of reproach before he got a big move to sunny California to take over at Anaheim Vineyard.

One of the key figures in Causeway Coast Vineyard is Peter Lynas, a hardened and determined ecumenist who has rightly earned the moniker, ‘Papist’ Peter Lynas.

Causeway Coast Vineyard’s lead pastors currently are husband and wife duo (that much-beloved combination of so many charismatic fellowships) Neil and Janet Young (1 Timothy 2:11-12, pictured, below) and Neil Young, as we have previously referred to, has something of a penchant for quoting Romanists on his Twitter page.

And back in May this year, Causeway Coast Vineyard held their ‘Encounter More’ conference, with two of the headline attractions being representatives of that awful, heretical US based megachurch, Bethel Ministries.

They were Jeremy Riddle, a leading character in the Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) scene, and Havilah Cunnington, a self-proclaimed prophet who is anything but. You can read about her ludicrous ‘prophecy’ by clicking here.

Causeway Coast Vineyard had further Bethel representatives present at their services in April on the same weekend that heretical organisation held a conference organised by Journey Community Church in Antrim.

Bethel Ministries is linked with all sorts of bizarre, outrageous practices and beliefs and is corrosive to any who come in contact with it.

From encouraging students at its ‘Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry’ going to a morgue to try to raise people from the dead to claiming God manifests Himself at their meetings through the medium of gold dust and feathers, it is plain to see this is a church which does not over burden itself with acquainting itself with the Word of God.

Throw into the mix the disputed claims of ‘grave sucking’ and the promotion of extra biblical revelation, and you have a church which is fearfully at odds with God’s Word.

But Causeway Coast Vineyard, which Hugh and Alyson Reid have been attending and leading small groups in throughout all of these blasphemes, was trumpeting these characters as wonderful examples to follow.

Also featuring at that conference were ABBA ‘prayer dancing’ and Rome supporting Pete Greig and another big fan of compromise with Romish blasphemies, Mike Pilavachi (pictured, below).

So anyone attending Mid Antrim Vineyard will be going to meetings ran by people who are happy to promote and be linked with a church which promotes heretics, false prophets and Romish compromisers.

We said at the start it never rains but it pours, and this is a veritable deluge of devilish deceits on offer.

Another very practical concern is over Hugh and Alyson Reid, the couple (there you are again!) who are taking on this new venture, which held its first service on 3 November.

Are they theologically trained? What qualifications do they have to be shepherds of what they would consider to be God’s flock (and no doubt there may well be some truly born again among it)?

This is the problem with so many of these charismatic, fellowship type churches. Of course, many training colleges are to be studiously avoided rather than studied at, but are these just enthusiastic individuals who have taken it upon themselves to have the spiritual oversight of, possibly, hundreds of souls?

There is a fine example of the setting up of, essentially, any old individual to be a priest or pastor and the fruitlessness of such in the book of Judges.

Judges 17:7-8, 10, 12-13 says: “And there was a young man out of Beth-lehem-judah of the family of Judah, who was a Levite, and he sojourned there. And the man departed out of the city from Beth-lehem-judah to sojourn where he could find a place: and he came to mount Ephraim to the house of Micah, as he journeyed. And Micah said unto him, Dwell with me, and be unto me a father and a priest, and I will give thee ten shekels of silver by the year, and a suit of apparel, and thy victuals. So the Levite went in. And Micah consecrated the Levite; and the young man became his priest, and was in the house of Micah. Then said Micah, Now know I that the Lord will do me good, seeing I have a Levite to my priest.”

What was the qualification of this man to be a priest to Micah? Simply that he was a Levite.

Did it matter that he was not qualified for the role and was happy to serve in a house where idols were set up? Not to them, it didn’t.

What are the qualifications of these set up as pastors here in Mid Antrim Vineyard? The fact they call themselves Christian?

The instability of such a situation was quickly exposed in the next chapter when this Levite, receiving a better offer, dropped Micah like a hot potato and took the false idols with him.

We have referred to enthusiasm and we do not dispute the genuine nature of Hugh and Alyson Reid’s efforts, and we would ask readers to pray for them that they might be awakened to the grave errors in the Vineyard movement, which go right to its roots, and reject such charismatic deceptions.

Likewise, we must also pray that such efforts, in their current guise, will not take off and instead that Ballymena, already having the similar charismatic deceptions of Green Pastures inflicted upon it, would experience a tremendous heaven-sent revival and not a revival which exists solely in the imaginations of those running such churches.

Let that also be our prayer for the rest of Northern Ireland, that God would move in mighty power throughout our country and bring great times of refreshing to this land.

Let us not be carried away by the lights and music of the charismatic delusion, but let us firmly set our eyes upon Christ, serious study of His Word and dedication to living a holy, righteous, sanctified life.

Acts 3:19: “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord”.

Rend Collective endorse the blasphemous Roman Catholic Mass

1 Peter 3:18: “For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit.”

The allegedly ‘Christian’ rock band Rend Collective have given their support to the Popish blasphemy of the Mass by performing at a ‘Christian’ summer camp where the God-defying sacrifice is offered.

They were part of the musical entertainment laid on by the organisers of the ‘Soul Survivor’ camps held in Peterborough and Stafford.

In a ‘Leaders Handbook’ provided on the Soul Survivor website, it is stated that, on the final day of the camp, when a Communion service is held, “Catholic Mass will also be available”.

You can see this outrageous fact for yourself by looking at the image below, an excerpt from the leaders handbook.

This is something we highlighted back in February and warned against, yet Rend Collective have continued on in their path of mean ecumenical compromise.

As we did back in February, we will remind everyone, including Rend Collective, of what the Roman Catholic catechism teaches about the Mass.

It says: “Because it is the memorial of Christ’s Passover, the Eucharist is also a sacrifice. In the Eucharist Christ gives us the very body which he gave up for us on the cross, the very blood which he ‘poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins’.”

Rome claims the Mass is the offering up of a sacrifice of Christ.

This runs totally at odds with what the Bible teaches.

Hebrews 10:11-12 says: “And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God”.

Christ was offered once, He is not sacrificed repeatedly in the Mass, it was a once for all sacrifice.

If we deny that, we deny the gospel as it is Christ’s sacrifice at Calvary which means we may be saved.

Rend Collective, by being happy to take part in a summer camp which offers up such a blasphemous ‘sacrifice’, serve to bring dishonour to the cause of Christ, regardless of how many people like listening to their music.

The ‘Soul Survivor’ camps are ran by Mike Pilavachi, a dedicated ecumenist whom we have previously featured on this page.

In addition to arranging for the blasphemous Mass to be served up at his camps, he has previously been pictured with two leading heretics in the church throughout the world.

They are the Mary worship supporting Arch-apostate of Canterbury, Justin Welby and sodomy-supporting Royal wedding preacher Michael Curry.

And Mike Pilavachi was pictured with them (which you can see, below) at the chief celebration of the utterly ecumenical ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ prayer initiative which is backed by “that Antichrist”, the Pope.

So it is little surprise to see him arranging for the central act of Romanist worship to be incorporated at the camps he runs.

It is, however, very distressing to see it nonetheless.

The same can be said for Rend Collective, not least because of the amount of people, especially the young, over whom they have tremendous influence.

Rend Collective, by their actions, such as performing for the Pope in Dublin last year and now playing at summer camps celebrating the Mass, are telling a generation of young people that it is ok, indeed a good thing, to mingle with the false religion of Rome.

Rend Collective should be using their prominent position to help educate a generation of young people about the dangers of compromising in your walk with God, instead they are promoting compromise.

What a sad state of affairs.

Dear reader, won’t you even speak out against such wilful and repeated ecumenical compromise and help challenge Rend Collective for their failure to stand against religious error.

Psalm 94:16 asks two vital questions which are every bit as relevant today as when they were written.

“Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?”

Rend Collective have resolutely refused to rise up against the evildoers or stand against the workers of iniquity. They have chosen to stand foursquare alongside them.

Therefore, who will stand against the workers of iniquity?

The voices against apostasy and religious error are fewer and hose who are seem to be quieter than in days gone by.

Let the condemnation of the children of Israel by God in the days of Ezekiel not be that of our day and generation.

Ezekiel 22:30 says: “And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.”

Let us not stand idly by as such damage is being done to the cause of Christ, with the perpetrators claiming it is being done in His name.

Let us ever follow the Scriptural command of Jude v 3 to “earnestly contend for the faith” and abide by the command of Ephesians 5:11.

It says: “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”

Let us be unafraid to reprove the unfruitful works of darkness and take our stand for God and against the false teachings of Rome and those who side with her.

ABBA ‘prayer dancing’ Pete Greig and Rome loving Mike Pilavachi for Causeway Coast Vineyard conference

2 Timothy 4:2-4: “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”

Last week on ‘Protestant Revival’ we highlighted two of the inappropriate characters who will be “preaching” and leading “worship” at Causeway Coast Vineyard’s ‘Encounter More’ conference, which will run from Thursday, 23 to Saturday, 25 May.

They are Havilah Cunnington and Jeremy Riddle, representatives of that frankly frightening hotbed of charismatic deceit, Bethel Ministries, whose blasphemies you can get an idea of by clicking here.

We simply couldn’t go into enough detail in one post to outline all the heretical speakers who will be purporting to offer spiritual guidance to the poor attendees of Causeway Coast Vineyard, but we can reveal that more brazenly ecumenical and God-defying speakers and worship leaders will be held up and exalted by those in charge at Causeway Coast Vineyard Church.

They are Mike Pilavachi (pictured, top) and Beth and Andy Croft of Soul Survivor church and Pete Greig (pictured, below), who runs 24-7 Prayer.

Pete Greig, for any readers who aren’t aware, is an out and out compromiser with Rome and a leading figure in the ungodly charismatic excesses which, sadly, figure prominently in so much of professing Christendom.

Indeed, he is at the extreme end of this.

And that can be seen in the fact that he claims God told him that He, the Almighty God of heaven, the eternal, unchangeable God who cannot abide sin, was “quite enjoying” a group of young women dressed up for a night out on the town coming into a prayer room he was in charge of, turning the stereo up (why it was there in any event is a good question) and proceeding to prayer dance to a song by Swedish pop group ABBA.

They apparently put their own ‘religious’ words to one of ABBA’s seemingly well-known songs, Super Trouper.

This is a blasphemy, yet Pete Greig has the gall to claim, not only that it was an acceptable form of worship, but that it was given the seal of approval of God.

What an outrage!

Furthermore, Pete Greig has played an active role in helping the Roman Catholic Church lure more people in to its evil clutches.

Pete Greig addressed the diocesan assembly of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Vienna in St Stephen’s Roman Catholic Cathedral in the Austrian capital.

Tweeting afterwards, Pete Greig said: “Truly wonderful time in Vienna addressing 1,700 bishops, nuns, priests, laity from every church in the Archdiocese. Extraordinary signs of renewal – ‘unthinkable 9 years ago’ says the Cardinal.”

So Pete Greig was rejoicing in helping and seeing an increase in the number of people coming under the pagan influence of Rome.

Not only that, the 24-7 Prayer organisation which he heads up is an indisputably ecumenical organisation.

And its leader in Ireland is none other than Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson, lead pastor at the truly Christ-rejecting Emmanuel Church in the Craigavon area.

That, in itself, says it all.

The Jesuit promoter that is Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson leads 24-7 Prayer Ireland and indeed had Pete Greig as a celebrity guest at Emmanuel Church’s ‘Tobar’ conference last year, showing the strong links between the pair.

As for Mike Pilavachi and his Soul Survivor church, this man is another confirmed ecumenist.

His Soul Survivor church hosts summer camps each year and every year since at least 2016 these camps have offered the Roman Catholic Mass, a grievous blasphemy against God.

The Roman Catholic catechism says this of the Mass: “Because it is the memorial of Christ’s Passover, the Eucharist is also a sacrifice. In the Eucharist Christ gives us the very body which he gave up for us on the cross, the very blood which he “poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.””

Rome claims they are making a sacrifice of Christ in the Mass, yet the Bible says this in Hebrews 10:11-12: “And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God”.

Christ made “one sacrifice for sins for ever”, yet Rome repeatedly claims to be offering a sacrifice of Christ, thus serving to totally reject and blaspheme this most precious and crucial tenet of Scripture.

But Mike Pilavachi, whether he practices the Mass personally or not, serves to do the same by facilitating this blasphemous sacrifice.

But he will be offered an enthusiastic welcome to Causeway Coast Vineyard Church next week.

Mike Pilavachi has also demonstrated his enthusiasm for fellowshipping with heretics by being pictured alongside the Archbishop (read, Arch-apostate) of Canterbury, Justin Welby and Bishop Michael Curry, the sodomy-supporting American heretic who impressed the gullible and fellow-apostates at last year’s Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The trio are pictured together, below.

They were all at the main celebration of the utterly ecumenical ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ prayer initiative, founded by Arch-apostate of Canterbury Justin Welby and given the seal of approval of “that man of sin, and son of perdition”, the Pope,

‘Thy Kingdom Come’ has devotionals to Mary accompanying it and Mike Pilavachi was the main speaker at the event.

So the Pope and Causeway Coast Vineyard Church have something (plenty of things, most likely) in common – they both promote events headlined by Mike Pilavachi.

That is very instructive.

Having the approval of the Pope is certainly not something any of us should want.

John 15:18-19 says: “If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.”

The Pope is undoubtedly “of the world” and will “love his own”. That would include the likes of Mike Pilavachi.

So why would Causeway Coast Vineyard want such characters as Pete Greig and Mike Pilavachi at their conference?

Well, Causeway Coast Vineyard’s previous lead pastor, Alan Scott, infamously said he was “all in” with the Pope during a sermon at Causeway Coast Vineyard.

And one of its leading figures, Peter Lynas (pictured, below), who also heads up the allegedly Evangelical Alliance, has repeatedly aligned himself with ecumenists and Romanists.

While it is little surprise to see a supposedly God-exalting church promote and fellowship with those who bring dishonour to the cause of Christ, it is imperative those who are saved and endeavouring to follow Christ take a stand against such error and compromise.

Psalm 94:16: “Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?”

God is asking the question and continues to ask it today – who will stand up, who will rise up for Him against those who act contrarily to His will?

Will we speak out against such falsehoods and their propagators? Or will we hold our peace?

Let us be bold and sound the alarm in this evil day and generation and refuse to sit by idly as such blasphemies are being committed in the name of Christ.

Joel 2:1: “Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain”.

Rend Collective to perform at ‘Christian’ camp celebrating the Papist Mass

The leading ‘Christian’ rock band Rend Collective (pictured, above) are to take the stage at three allegedly Christian summer camps which will offer the Roman Catholic Mass to those in attendance.

Rend Collective will perform at the Soul Survivor summer camps to be held in Peterborough and Stafford in England in July and August.

In a ‘Leaders Handbook’ provided on the Soul Survivor website, it is stated that, on the final day of the camp, when a Communion service is held, “Catholic Mass is also available”.

Let us not forget what the “Catholic Mass” is.

The Catholic Church catechism says this: “Because it is the memorial of Christ’s Passover, the Eucharist is also a sacrifice. In the Eucharist Christ gives us the very body which he gave up for us on the cross, the very blood which he “poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.””

So they claim the Mass is a sacrifice of Christ, despite the Bible saying the sacrifice at Calvary was once and for all.

Hebrews 10:11-12 says: “And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;”

They also claim the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist, saying that the priest transforms magically the bread and wine to the actual body and blood of Christ.

Apart from the practical aspect of the implications of what it makes a person who eats the body and blood of another, there is also the resolution struck by the early church leaders about the consumption of blood in their correspondence with the Gentiles after disputes sprang up over the implications of the Jewish law for them.

Acts 15:28-29: “For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things; That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.”

Blood was never to be consumed, yet here is Rome teaching that its adherents drink the physical blood of Christ.

And this is what Soul Survivor is facilitating at its summer camps.

Soul Survivor is ran by a character who has previously featured on ‘Protestant Revival’, Mike Pilavachi (pictured, below).

We highlighted him at the time he performed, for that is what it was, at Causeway Coast Vineyard Church in Coleraine, County Londonderry.

His then-imminent arrival was greeted with enthusiasm by one of the key figures at Causeway Coast Vineyard, ‘Papist’ Peter Lynas, whose tweet celebrating his appearance is pictured below.

And this man who each year, since at least 2016, has facilitated the blasphemous practising of the Mass at the events he runs, is someone who ‘Papist’ Peter Lynas is holding up as a spiritual example to those who attend his church.

Rend Collective, meanwhile, are of course no strangers whatsoever to consorting with Popery.

Indeed, last August, when “that Antichrist”, the Pope, visited Dublin, they were part of the musical entertainment laid on for the Mary worshippers and Pope exalters in attendance, which you can read about by clicking here.

Then a short time later they told a transgender individual on Twitter that they considered it a “sad thing” that certain churches wouldn’t allow them to be a preacher or worship leader.

This transgender individual was challenging them on performing at an event held by Franklin Graham, son of ecumenical evangelist Billy Graham and, to his great credit, a strident opponent of sodomy.

Rend Collective’s response was this: “… in an attempt to foster unity we try not to be selective in who we partner with under the banner of the gospel.”

That lack of selectiveness has been demonstrated yet again for all to see.

Rend Collective have stedfastly refused to abide by the Scriptural command to remain separate from sin (2 Corinthians 6:14-17) and to reprove the unfruitful works of darkness (Ephesians 5:11), even when confronted with their betrayal of God’s Word by this page and others.

Questions also must be asked of the discernment of ‘Papist’ Peter Lynas in linking himself to a man who arranges for the central blasphemous act of Romanist worship to be held at the event he runs.

What does Peter Lynas think of the man he supported bringing in to give spiritual direction to the attendees at Causeway Coast Vineyard arranging for Christ to be sacrificed again at the events he hosts?

Does Peter Lynas think the Mass is an authentic, appropriate form of worship?

Will he be happy to welcome Mike Pilavachi back to Causeway Coast Vineyard in future?

What do churches who are members of the Evangelical Alliance, which Peter Lynas runs, think of his association with and support of men who arrange for the Roman Catholic Mass to be held?

There are serious questions, too, for Bangor Elim Church, in County Down, from which Rend Collective were born, as they will have the band back in May to perform at two concerts they are hosting on consecutive nights.

Is Bangor Elim happy for their most famous members to be engaging with events promoting Popery?

They could not but be aware that Rend Collective were part of the musical entertainment for the Pope’s visit to the Republic of Ireland last year, so one must conclude they are happy to be tainted by the blasphemies of the Roman Catholic Church.

What a wretched situation this is on so many levels.

Dear reader, please do not allow yourself to support the compromising ways of Rend Collective, separate yourself from the Evangelical Alliance and all churches within it, thus sending a message to ‘Papist’ Peter Lynas, Rend Collective, Bangor Elim, Mike Pilavachi, Soul Survivor and every member of the Evangelical Alliance that you will not be caught up in their rejection of God’s Word.

A stand ought to be taken and indeed a stand must be taken against these characters and their refusal to abide by God’s commands.

Spread the word, share this article widely, shout it out from the rooftops that this religious treachery will not be carried out in your name and, most crucially, it will not be carried out in the precious name of God the Father, God the Son or God the Holy Spirit.

Jeremiah 14:14: “Then the Lord said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.”

‘Papist’ Peter Lynas welcomes Rome-loving charismatic Mike Pilavachi to Causeway Coast Vineyard

A well-known charismatic preacher and keen enthusiast of ecumenical fellowshipping with the blasphemous Roman Catholic system is to be the guest of honour tomorrow (Sunday) at Causeway Coast Vineyard.

Mike Pilavachi, who runs the charismatic, ecumenical ‘Soul Survivor’ church in England, is to take the stage at the church which is backed by the leader of the Evangelical Alliance, ‘Papist’ Peter Lynas.

Back in May, Mike Pilavachi was one of the main speakers at the main celebration in London of the brazenly ecumenical and Romish blasphemy embracing ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ prayer initiative.

The event was originally conceived by the Arch-apostate (though he probably prefers Archbishop) of Canterbury, Justin Welby, so one can be sure of the rotten roots of that event. The picture below shows Mike Pilavachi with the Arch-apostate of Canterbury and Bishop Michael Curry, the American apostate who preached at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Indeed, for that event, which Mike Pilavachi enthusiastically endorsed and which is designed for all denominations of so-called Christians, including Roman Catholic, there was devised a booklet entitled ‘Journey With Mary’.

It is described as being “for those who have a devotion to Our Lady to pray ‘Thy Kingdom Come’. It is a guide to praying with Mary for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit”.

Indeed, during the 11 days of the ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ initiative, there were daily devotionals from the Arch-apostate of Canterbury and Cardinal Vincent Nichols, the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Westminster.

What a ghastly mess it is, but there was Mike Pilavachi up on stage beside that Arch-apostate Justin Welby back in May giving the whole God-defying event his blessing.

And tomorrow he’ll be spreading his message of easy-believist ecumenical claptrap to the north coast area of Northern Ireland.

We’ll just remind Mike Pilavachi and indeed ‘Papist’ Peter Lynas of what the Bible has to say about the Papal blasphemy of prayer to Mary.

1 Timothy 2:5: “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus”.

Hebrews 7:25 says: “Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.”

So Jesus is the “one mediator” between God and men, He “ever liveth to make intercession” for us and we are saved by coming to God through Christ.

There’s not one verse of Scripture to justify the worship of, or prayer to Mary.

So why are Mike Pilavachi and ‘Papist’ Peter Lynas happy to associate themselves with such blasphemies?

That is, of course, a question for both men to answer, and we would encourage readers to pose it to them.

Another question for Mike Pilavachi would be to ask him why he was preaching to what he describes himself as “Catholic charismatics” in Malta back in 2011?

He tweeted (and we picture the tweet below) on 2nd July, 2011, the following: “Blown away by the Catholic charismatics in Malta. Such a love for Jesus and openness to his Spirit”.

Before any members of the pedantry brigade proffer the risible excuse that he was trying to convert these Roman Catholics, we would advise them to look at the tweet again.

He was impressed by the Roman Catholics’ public expression of religion. He was happy to call them Catholics, so he saw no need for them to change their religion.

This is despite the Roman Catholic faith being filled to the brim with lies and deceits.

We have listed them on so many occasions, yet the message sadly still appears to have failed to get through to many who read this page.

We have mentioned the worship of Mary already, but the main issue is the fact that Rome refuses to teach the Biblical way to be right with God, which is by faith ALONE.

Not only does Rome refuse to teach that, adding on its own grubby laws of sacramental merit, it pronounces its curses to this day on any who teach salvation by faith alone.

Their teaching is an outright rejection of God and His Word.

Ephesians 2:8-9 says: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Titus 3:5 says: “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost”.

But Mike Pilavachi, happy to endorse or at least turn a blind eye to this spiritual wretchedness, will be the star turn at Causeway Coast Vineyard and ‘Papist’ Peter Lynas has stated on his Twitter page that he is “looking forward to this”.

Of course, ‘Papist’ Peter Lynas has an ever-lengthening ecumenical rap sheet, which includes eulogising the ecumenical evangelist Billy Graham, who told Roman Catholics coming forward for spiritual guidance to return to the evil clutches of Rome.

Not only that, he stated his support for compromising alleged Protestants running down to Dublin to do obeisance to the Pope and he gave his enthusiastic backing to the ecumenical ‘Healing The Land’ prayer initiative.

And the former pastor of his Causeway Coast Vineyard church in Coleraine, Alan Scott, who oddly enough is praised to no end in a recent tweet by Mike Pilavachi, said he was “all in” with the Pope in a meeting at Causeway Coast Vineyard.

Dear reader, please do not be deceived by the smooth words and attractive to the senses approach of such speakers and such movements.

1 John 4:1: “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.”

Jeremiah 5:31: “The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?”

Many people like to hear the endlessly positive message of the Vineyard Church, Mike Pilavachi and many others.

They don’t want to hear about the depravity of their sin, of their wretchedness before God, of the certain judgment and lost eternity in hell for those who don’t truly repent of their sin.

Instead, they love the message that tells them of what big plans God has for their lives, how they were “made for so much more” and other generic, empty statements designed to appeal to our ego and excite our emotions, which amount to the religious equivalent of a fortune cookie.

Look to God for His Word to us, not to some charismatic who tells a collection of funny stories, teaches a life lesson and draws a verse out of the air and out of context to give an air of God’s authority to their ramblings.

2 Timothy 2:15-16: “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.”
