Romish compromise rewarded as Right Eejit John McDowell appointed Church of Ireland Archbishop

Malachi 3:15: “And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered.”

We have previously commented in other articles how it appears that the more compromised with Rome a clergyman appears to be, the more likely he is to be on course for the top, especially in the Church of Ireland.

So hand in hand is the Church of Ireland with the pagan perversion of true Christianity that is the Church of Rome that it is to be expected devoted ecumenists will be occupying the top roles.

And so it has proven as one promoter of Romish compromise has been replaced with another in the most senior post of the Church of Ireland.

Right Reverend (or Right Eejit) John McDowell (pictured, top), the current Church of Ireland Bishop of Clogher, has been appointed as the new Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland, replacing Most Reverend (or Most Ecumenical) Richard Clarke (pictured, below).

The Rome compromising, Papal pandering, Apocrypha preaching dyed in the wool ecumenist has been rewarded for his clerical career of compromise by being elevated to this loftiest (and no doubt generously remunerated) of roles.

Let’s have a look at Right Eejit John McDowell’s rather inglorious CV.

He is bosom buddies with former Roman Catholic Bishop of Clogher Joseph Duffy, a man who was found to have “failed to prevent clerical sex abuse and did not remove suspected paedophile priests from the ministry”.

Despite that being the finding of a report by the Irish National Board for Safeguarding Children as far back as 2010, Right Eejit John McDowell continues to be fast friends with this Romish deceiver.

In April 2018, he was a joint guest of honour with Bishop Joseph Duffy (pictured, below) in a Church of Ireland event in a congregation in County Monaghan.

Then, in June 2018, Right Eejit John McDowell was a guest of honour at the Romanist blasphemy of the mass, a mass held to celebrate 60 years in the priesthood of that same Bishop Joseph Duffy.

Apart from the obvious disregard he showed towards true religion and God by attending such a wretched event as the mass, he was also showing complete disregard to the victims of child abuse in the Clogher diocese who might have been spared such wicked treatment had Bishop Joseph Duffy not “failed to prevent clerical sex abuse”.

Surely this alone is enough to preclude Right Eejit John McDowell from being elevated to this role?

Right Eejit John McDowell is also a past President of the Irish Council of Churches and was a signatory to a letter begging “that Antichrist” the Pope to visit Northern Ireland when he made his way to the Republic of Ireland in August 2018.

Right Eejit John McDowell was also in attendance in May 2018 when a service was held in the Church of Ireland in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh to celebrate a Jesuit priest in the process of being ‘sainted’ by the Pope.

Then in that same church, St Macartin’s Cathedral, in November 2018 Right Eejit John McDowell preached from the Apocrypha during a Remebrance Day service.

And the following month, in greeting the appointment of Larry Duffy as the new Romanist Bishop of Clogher, he said he was praying for his success.

All that was just in 2018!

Indeed, he added a deal of variation to his wilful rejection of God’s Word late last year as he was in attendance at a pro-LGBT event in St Macartin’s Cathedral in Enniskillen and indeed closed the meeting “with a prayer of love for our queer brothers and sisters”.

So there you have it. This is the man who is now in charge of the Church of Ireland, the second largest allegedly Protestant denomination in Ireland.

Associating with Romanist priests who “failed to prevent clerical sex abuse”, taking every opportunity he can to compromise with the evil false religion of Rome and caving into the campaign for the acceptance of sodomy in the church, this is the trail left by Right Eejit John McDowell.

Are you impressed?

Do you believe he ought to be a spiritual leader?

Do you want him to be your spiritual leader?

Do you believe God smiles upon Roght Eejit John McDowell as a very senior and very public proclaimed representative of Him?

We trust the answer to each question is very clear indeed and we trust that, if you are saved, you will “come out from among them and be ye separate” from the Church of Ireland.

If you are as yet unsaved, won’t you place your faith and trust in Christ, the one Who gave Himself on the cross at Calvary that we might be saved.

1 Peter 2:24-25: “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.”

Christ is a Bishop to be much admired and followed after, Right Eejit John McDowell is a bishop to be rejected.

Choose the gospel of Christ, not the false gospel of Right Eejit John McDowell and his ilk.

Pro-LGBT event in Enniskillen Church of Ireland cathedral

2 Timothy 3:13: “But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.”

The LGBT influence in the professing church is continuing to gain ground.

One need only look at the recent deplorable situation where a man who had entered a sodomite ‘marriage’, who also happened to be a Presbyterian elder in a church in the Republic of Ireland, was thrown out of the eldership and the consternation this met with from numerous figures in the Presbyterian Church.

Indeed, virtually every day the Belfast Telegraph is replete with letters from some professing Christian or another who is most irate a man whose lifestyle choice is described by God as an “abomination” was ejected from leadership in the church.

It is ironic they have been so critical and, gasp, judgmental about individuals making this decision, when they preach a gospel of “judge not” to any who condemn homosexuality for what it is – sin.

Many have raised criticisms over the process by which the matter was handled, though this is something we are not especially concerned with, asides from the question as to why it took so long to remove Steven Smyrl from the eldership (apparently around six months from the ‘marriage’)?

Also concerning is the fact that he was apparently known to be a homosexual before his ‘marriage’, certainly by his congregation, as he had been in a same-sex relationship for 20 years and obtained a civil partnership in 2011.

Regardless, it is emblematic of the growing acceptance of sodomy within the church that such a circumstance has occurred.

And further evidence of the increasing prevalence of spokespeople for the sodomite movement in the church came on Monday night this week, when the LGBT organisation JustLOVE held what was described as an “LGBT affirming faith event” at St Macartin’s Hall in Enniskillen.

This is the church hall owned by the Church of Ireland’s St Macartin’s Cathedral in Enniskillen.

The driving force behind this JustLOVE event was none other than sodomite ‘Pride’ parading Rev Andrew Rawding (pictured, top), who will tonight (Thursday) host in his rectory a meeting of a new LGBT group, Mid Ulster Pride.

We had been made aware of this meeting in Enniskillen prior to its taking place but knew few further details of it.

That was until we received a screenshot of the report placed by Rev Andrew Rawding on his Facebook page and we discovered the event was even more troubling than we had previously feared.

Indeed, the details of Rev Andrew Rawding’s post should be of grave concern to any Bible-believing Christian.

Not only was Rev Andrew Rawding the one behind this event, but he tells of an ordained Methodist minister in County Fermanagh called Rev Steven Foster who spoke of how he is a “gay man” and who called for churches to “provide liturgy which affirms queer people”.

It was also revealed that the Church of Ireland’s Bishop of Clogher, the Right Eejit (sorry, Right Reverend) John McDowell, closed “with a prayer of love for our queer brothers and sisters”.

This is the text of the post from Rev Andrew Rawding.

It says: “Another amazing and informative JustLOVE evening with Jo McParland of Cara Friend in St Macartin’s Cathedral Hall.

“In particular we need to show so much more unconditional love and acceptance to our transgender brothers and sisters.

“Thanks to Rev Steven Foster (Methodist Church Ireland) for his honesty, talking about praying a ‘suicide prayer’ as he struggled with isolation and loneliness as a gay man in the church.

“Steven challenged and encouraged churches to love (over legalism), listen, learn, be careful about language, show leadership and provide liturgy which affirms queer (LGBTQ+) people.

“Great to have Bishop John McDowell close with a prayer of love for our queer brothers and sisters and asking forgiveness for those times when we have not been loving.”

And, as you can see from the top of the screenshot which we have reproduced, below, Rev Andrew Rawding also ‘tagged’ Kenny Hall in his post, saying he had been with him at the event.

Kenny Hall, or Rev Kenneth Hall, is the Dean of the Clogher diocese and rector of St Macartin’s Cathedral in Enniskillen.

He is a rampant ecumenist, having previously held a service in his church in honour of a Romanist Jesuit who is en route to being ‘sainted’ by the Roman Catholic Church, as well as having vowed in a sermon at his church to continue to work “tirelessly and endlessly” with Romish priests in his pursuit of unity.

That is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to his ecumenical compromise with the devilish deceits of Rome, but now he has added compromise with the utterly ungodly LGBT movement to his God-defying CV.

It would appear he was in attendance given the fact he was ‘tagged’ by Rev Andrew Rawding (otherwise that was mischief making on his part) but certainly he didn’t stand in the way of such an event taking place on his church’s property.

Indeed, reading back through the article we penned last spring detailing Dean Kenneth Hall (pictured, above) renewing his ecumenical vows, as it were, he points out that he was a minister in Coalisland and Stewartstown, exactly where Rev Andrew Rawding is currently a minister.

How neat and tidy is that?

The group Cara Friend referred to in the post by Rev Andrew Rawding is an LGBT support group, while Rev Steven Foster was, until recently, minister of Irvinestown and Pettigo Methodist Churches in Counties Fermanagh and Donegal respectively. He took up a post in Tipperary in the Republic of Ireland a few months ago.

As referred to above, he is a homosexual acting as a minister and has called on churches to “provide liturgy which affirms queer (LGBTQ+) people”.

What a sorry situation this is and what a damning indictment of the state of the Methodist Church in Ireland today.

Right Eejit John McDowell (pictured, below) was also along to sow his seeds of compromise.

Like Dean Kenneth Hall, he is a rampant ecumenist and has now added caving in to the LGBT agenda to his list of God-defiance as well.

Last year on Remembrance Sunday, Right Eejit John McDowell disgracefully preached from the Apocrypha in the supposedly Protestant St Macartin’s Cathedral, while he was also a guest of honour alongside the former Roman Catholic Bishop of Clogher, Joseph Duffy, a man found to have “failed to prevent clerical sex abuse”, at a Church of Ireland service in County Monaghan.

So it is perhaps not surprising to see this continued degeneration – one compromise tends to lead to another.

And yet in all this there is still cause for the believer to marvel at the gracious mercy of our Heavenly Father.

These individuals have obtained positions of seniority and respect, and little doubt they are at least financially comfortable, and this is a sign of God’s patience with those who disobey Him, as He bears their sin for a long time, giving them the chance to see the error of their way and come to Him in repentance.

Such mercy is referred to in Isaiah 26:10-11, which says: “Let favour be shewed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the Lord. Lord, when thy hand is lifted up, they will not see: but they shall see, and be ashamed for their envy at the people; yea, the fire of thine enemies shall devour them.”

However, as we can see, it will be reckoned with at last, and we can also rejoice in God’s justice while praying that He will not need to bring down His judgment on those who disobey Him and that instead there will be repentance.

The issue of sodomy is one which is really crystal clear to any who takes even a slightly honest or scarcely cursory view of Scripture, yet so many are deceiving and being deceived in this sinful day.

Numerous Bible passages deal with the issue.

These include, but are certainly not limited to:

Leviticus 18:22: “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.”

Romans 1:26-27: “For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.”

1 Corinthians 6:9-10: “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.”

That is certainly not to say we are not to look upon those who fall under the man-made classification of LGBT with concern for their souls or care for their spiritual wellbeing, but we cannot wink at sin, we cannot sit idly by and let sin be endorsed and praised as noble, brave, honest or admirable.

We live in days as those spoken of in Isaiah 5:20, which says: “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”

However, let us not be silent or reluctant in still declaring that which is evil still to be evil and that which is bitter still to be bitter.

Let us not sacrifice the goodness of God’s Word to protect the temporary feelings of the unconverted.

Psalm 119:103-104: “How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.”

A sorry harvest – ‘Rev’ Lorraine Capper preaches in Romanist chapel

Hosea 8:7: “For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk: the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up.”

“Sowing the wind” could easily be the description of a sad event which took place at the end of September in a rural townland just over the border in County Monaghan.

An ecumenical harvest service was held in a Romanist chapel on Friday, 27 September in St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Glennan, a small townland between Emyvale and Glaslough, just across the border into the Republic of Ireland.

The preacher for the occasion was a Church of Ireland ‘minister’, a Rev Lorraine Capper.

She is presently the ‘minister’ of a grouped parish in the area, being appointed to lead at St Salvator Parish Church, Donagh in County Fermanagh, St Sillian Parish Church, Tyholland and St Muadhan Parish Church, Errigal Truagh, both in County Monaghan.

Apart from the obvious fact that she ought not to be a ‘minister’, as 1 Timothy 2:12 clearly outlines, ‘Rev’ Lorraine Capper ought not to have been there at all.

To be in St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Glennan, or indeed to be in any house of Papist worship, is to reject the Bible.

We are told in 2 Corinthians 6:17 that we are to “come out from among them, and be ye separate, and touch not the unclean thing”.

Rome is undoubtedly an unclean thing, in fact it strives to make a virtue of its uncleanness and encourages its adherents to lay up piles of filthy rags to produce to Christ when it comes to the day of judgement.

Isaiah 64:6 tells us that all of our own works and our own efforts to be righteous in of ourselves are nothing but “filthy rags” in the eyes of Christ.

It says: “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.”

Despite the fact that “our righteousnesses are as filthy rags”, Rome teaches its followers to keep piling them up, telling them they can earn a place in heaven.

The Catholic Catechism states that all manner of things other than faith alone in Christ alone gets us to heaven.

It says that “baptism is the first and chief sacrament of forgiveness of sins” (paragraph 977) and that “baptism is necessary for salvation for those to whom the Gospel has been proclaimed”.

So Rome teaches that baptism is something we can do to attain salvation.

Not only that, they say our good works through observance of the Ten Commandments merits us a place in heaven.

The Roman Catholic Catechism says that “all men may attain salvation through faith, Baptism and the observance of the Commandments”.

We cannot observe the Ten Commandments properly, it is impossible to meet the requirements of the Commandments, that is why we need the Grace and mercy of Christ for salvation.

Romans 3:23 reminds us that “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God”.

Not only does Rome say all these extra things are necessary for salvation, it also pronounces its curse on those who believe faith alone is sufficient for salvation.

The Council of Trent, still the authoritative document of Roman Catholic Church teaching, says in Canon 14: “If any one saith, that man is truly absolved from his sins and justified, because he assuredly believed himself absolved and justified; or, that no one is truly justified but he who believes himself justified; and that, by this faith alone, absolution and justification are effected; let him be anathema”.

“Faith alone” is “anathema” to the Roman Catholic Church.

Yet the Bible teaches we are saved by faith alone and not by our good works, so-called.

Galatians 2:16 says: “Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.”

There is no salvation through the works of the law, we are told here.

But what does Rome say? It says you “may attain salvation through the observance of the Commandments”.

Yet there was ‘Rev’ Lorraine Capper leading an ecumenical harvest service, as it was described on the Church of Ireland Diocese of Clogher’s website, in a church set up specifically to teach a false gospel and deny the all-sufficient death of Christ on Calvary.

‘Rev’ Lorraine Capper serves only to do spiritual damage to all those who attended that service.

Not only is ‘Rev’ Lorraine Capper endorsing the false teachings of Romanism by being there, which means the Roman Catholic faithful in attendance go unwarned about the false teachings of their church, but she is also causing so-called Protestants who attended that service to think there is nothing wrong with mixing with false religion.

Furthermore, while any person bearing the title of minister ought to be not only preaching the true gospel, they ought also to condemn the false gospel others are teaching.

A Romanist priest is teaching a false gospel of salvation by good works and sacramental merit, and ‘Rev’ Lorraine Capper is offending God by encouraging that Romanist priest on in his false teaching.

What a shameful situation that is.

‘Rev’ Lorraine Capper was most assuredly “sowing the wind” and she, too, will “reap the whirlwind”, as will all those who follow her compromising ways.

No good fruit will come of it, but rather this service attempts to make a mockery of God and His Word.

However, we have a wonderful assurance in Galatians 6:7 that “God is not mocked”.

The verse continues, though, and says that “whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap”.

As we are in the harvest season, what seed are you sowing in your life? Are you mocking God, as it were, by defying Him and His offer of salvation by His free grace?

Have you came to Christ for forgiveness, for salvation?

To be saved, you do not need to be a fully paid-up member of a church, you do not have to follow a set of man-made rules, you need only to repent of your sins and call on Chirist for salvation.

Romans 10:13: “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

1 John 1:8-9: “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
