Church of Ireland sit by as their minister leads sodomite ‘Pride’ parade

Isaiah 56:10: “His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.”

Two recurring themes within the Church of Ireland is its deafening silence on issues which should appal any true child of God and its utter inactivity when presented with a minister who openly defies God.

Both of these matters came sharply into focus recently with the sad case of Rev Andrew Rawding, one of its ministers in County Tyrone.

His apostate actions in leading a procession in celebration of sodomite ‘Pride’ are frankly outrageous, but the Church of Ireland steadfastly refuses to do anything about it.

A number of weeks have passed since Rev Andrew Rawding’s outrageous act of rebellion against his church’s teaching and, most importantly, against God and His Word.

However, still there has been no response or action taken in relation to his shameful behaviour, as they remain silent in the face of grave, brazen sin.

As a quick reminder, Rev Andrew Rawding led a sodomite ‘Pride’ parade through Cookstown in County Tyrone last month in a celebration of that which God calls an “abomination” (Leviticus 18:22).

The parade had originally been due to be held in June, but the Covid lockdown saw it rearranged to September.

Despite it being clear that mass gatherings would still not be permitted come September, the organisers, Mid Ulster Pride, were so determined to go on in their sin, they organised a parade anyway, with 15 people (with Rev Andrew Rawding very much to the fore) carrying placards in support of their ungodly cause  through the town centre on a Saturday afternoon.

Praise God there was a protest mounted against this wickedness, but sadly not so much as a squeak of opposition from Rev Andrew Rawding’s denomination, the Church of Ireland.

In the weeks that have passed since his outrageous, God-defying actions, there has been nothing said by the Church of Ireland’s Diocese of Armagh against it, nor has there been a word said by the Church of Ireland body as a whole, nor, to the best of our knowledge, has a single Church of Ireland minister made a public statement to repudiate Rev Andrew Rawding’s actions.

The Church of Ireland Diocese of Armagh has been able to publish a number of statements on their website in the meantime, including an article headlined ‘Letter from UK Anglican Primates on Internal Market Bill’, because the likes of Archbishop Right Eejit John McDowell’s views on the EU are sure to make a huge difference.

There was also a fascinating and, no doubt much valued statement thanking teachers for, well, teaching. Inspirational stuff.

But there is nothing about one of its ministers supporting dreadful wickedness, they are but dumb dogs slumbering, as the verse at the top of this article states.

What use is a watchman that does not watch and what use is a guard dog that does not bark?

The Diocese of Armagh has a duty of spiritual care to its members and parishioners and, indeed, to its ministers like Rev Andrew Rawding.

This is a man so clearly in error as he stands up to promote grave sin, yet the Church of Ireland is making no effort to correct him.

Last year, when asked by the Belfast Newsletter if they planned to do anything about his brazen defiance of God’s Word, this is what the report regarding their response said:

“The spokesman said that church teaching is agreed in a “democratic” process; Many clergy and laity disagree with church teaching “and may continue to hold their point of view, but it will not be the official position of the Church”.”

The Church of Ireland is perfectly content for Rev Andrew Rawding to continue to promote that which God calls an “abomination” (Leviticus 18:22) and “vile”, “against nature” and “unseemly” (Romans 1:26-27).

Yet surely if they have a love for his soul and a love for the souls of the people over whom he has spiritual authority, they would want to sound a warning?

Alas, no, they are too busy speaking into the air on Brexit and offering pointless words of praise to teachers in bland statements.

Sadly these dumb dogs are far too prevalent in church hierarchies today, not just in the Church of Ireland.

May God save us from such dumb dogs and rather give us dogs that bark in this wicked day and generation.

May we even be blessed with a generation of religious leaders who are as those in Daniel 11:32, who “do know their God”.

Let them “be strong, and do exploits”, not be weak, and do nothing.

Church of Ireland using Roman Catholic hermit to inspire aspiring ministers

Proverbs 13:20: “He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.”

The above headline is certainly not a collection of words we had ever been expecting to put together, yet here we are.

Many legacy Protestant churches use many different ways to promote links with Rome in an attempt to blur any remaining, faded lines between them and the blasphemous Papacy.

You can very simply promote joint services with them, such as St Patrick’s Parish Church in Ballymoney, County Antrim and their minister Rev Andrew Sweeney, you can have your culinary skills (a most important sign of a faithful minister) spoken of warmly, a la Canon David Skuce, or you can be appointed leader of the most prominent ecumenical organisation in Northern Ireland, such as Presbyterian minister Rev Alex Wimberly of the Corrymeela Community.

There are other tactics which are employed, but the Church of Ireland Diocese of Armagh is using a most bizarre way to show it has handed itself over to mean Romish compromise.

On their website, they are quoting a man who was a Roman Catholic hermit as a means of motivating those who have an interest in entering the ministry in the Church of Ireland.

This outrageous apostasy is present on their website by first visiting the ‘Ministry’ section and then clicking on to the page, ‘Fellowship of Vocation’.

On this page, after explaining the process by which they choose ministers to go forward for official training, the writer of the text on the website then quotes Charles de Foucauld (pictured, top) by means of inspiring would-be ministers to pursue a career in the, supposedly, Christian ministry. You can see it for yourself in the series of three screenshots, below.

Beneath the quote, would-be ministers are invited to contact a Rev Bill Adair, who is apparently the Diocesan Director of Ordinands. He is also the minister of St Columba’s Parish Church in Portadown, County Armagh, but whether he is behind the message or not we cannot be sure.

Regardless, what we can be sure of is that it is outrageous to be quoting a Mary worshipping, Christ denying Romanist priest as some sort of inspiration to go into the ministry.

Charles de Foucauld was a priest who joined the Trappist order, an offshoot of the Cistercians, living from 1858 to 1916.

He is exalted and lifted up by the Roman Catholic Church and is in the process of being ‘sainted’ by them.

His beatification process saw him re-titled as the “Blessed ‘Father’ Charles de Foucauld” by Pope Benedict XVI in 2005.

Surely all of that would automatically preclude him from being considered an admirable example to follow by any true believer, yet here we have the Church of Ireland seeking to use him as a means of inspiring aspiring ministers.

This is but typical of the mean ecumenical compromise which has permeated virtually every aspect of the Church of Ireland.

It is also somewhat duplicitous to name Charles de Foucauld (though, as you may have noticed, they have spelled his name incorrectly) as the man behind the quote they share without giving any background as to who he is.

This is a common trick we have seen employed by numerous compromisers seeking to gently promote an individual who any true believer ought to reject outright.

It would be highly likely that 99% of people had never heard tell of this hermit who is exalted by Rome, but the writer just plonks his name in there, knowing rightly people won’t know who he is and hoping nobody bothers to check.

What is wrong with using a quote from any number of Protestant reformers or preachers?

There is Luther, Calvin, Knox, you could cite George Whitefield, CH Spurgeon, the Wesleys, John Wycliffe, DL Moody, the list goes on.

All of these men are far better known (and a much better example) than a French Romanist hermit who buried himself away in the north African countryside as some sort of mistaken attempt at devotion to God.

Or, better still, how about using a quote from God’s Word to inspire aspiring ministers?

Matthew 9:36-38 would be pretty apt, given the subject matter. It says: “But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”

They could also use Romans 10:13-15, which says: “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!”

These are wonderful passages from God’s inerrant and inspired Word, but they just don’t cut it for the Church of Ireland Diocese of Armagh, who favour Papist deceivers over the Almighty.

Indeed, the very notion of the ascetic lifestyle adopted by Charles de Foucauld is unscriptural.

Nowhere in the Bible are we told to deliberately cause ourselves pain.

We cannot do anything to earn our salvation, Titus 3:5 reminds us that our salvation is “not by works of righteousness which we have done” and Ephesians 2:9 states clearly that salvation is “not of works”.

Of course, a desire to live a holy and sanctified life is a key sign of being a child of God, but such self-mortification is not a sign of holiness and sanctification.

1 Timothy 6:17 shows us that God “giveth us richly all things to enjoy”.

1 Timothy 4:1-4 clearly condemns two of the chief superstitions and practices of the Romanist religion, the forced celibacy of its priests and the forbidding of eating certain meats at certain times. They are, in fact, described as “doctrines of devils”.

The passage says: “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving”.

It is wholly misguided of the Church of Ireland Diocese of Armagh to be recommending a devotee of Rome as an inspiration to men (and, contrary to God’s Word, see 1 Timothy 2:12, women) interested in entering the ministry.

We would call on the Church of Ireland Diocese of Armagh to remove this at once and indeed apologise for a quote from a man who upheld the false, pagan religion of Rome being used to encourage men into its ministry.

Rome denies that Christ’s sacrifice at Calvary was all-sufficient, it denies that we are saved by faith alone, it claims the blasphemous Pope is God on earth, it claims we can pray to Mary to gain favour with God, it practices the blasphemous mass where they sacrifice Jesus again and again, it venerates idols and statues and it teaches of a fictional holding cell between heaven and hell they call purgatory.

These teachings of Rome are all diametrically opposed to the clear words of Scripture and have the effect of corrupting true religion and sound doctrine to the point where it bears no resemblance to the Word of God.

The Church of Ireland’s own supposedly governing principles, the 39 Articles, has strong words on many false Romish doctrines, yet its ministers repeatedly and determinedly ignore them and the Bible in their efforts to cuddle up with Rome.

Article 22 covers a number of these false teachings of Rome. It says: “The Romish Doctrine concerning Purgatory, Pardons, Worshipping and Adoration, as well of Images as of Relics, and also Invocation of Saints, is a fond thing, vainly invented, and grounded upon no warranty of Scripture, but rather repugnant to the Word of God.”

Articles 28 and 31 have further strong words of condemnation of Romish deceit.

Article 28 speaks of the Lord’s Supper, warning against its pollution into the mass ceremony of Rome.

“Transubstantiation (or the change of the substance of Bread and Wine) in the Supper of the Lord, cannot be proved by holy Writ; but is repugnant to the plain words of Scripture, overthroweth the nature of a Sacrament, and hath given occasion to many superstitions.

“The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper was not by Christ’s ordinance reserved, carried about, lifted up, or worshipped.”

Article 31 speaks of the all-availing once for all sacrifice of Christ at Calvary.

It says: “The Offering of Christ once made is that perfect redemption, propitiation, and satisfaction, for all the sins of the whole world, both original and actual; and there is none other satisfaction for sin, but that alone. Wherefore the sacrifices of Masses, in the which it was commonly said, that the Priest did offer Christ for the quick and the dead, to have remission of pain or guilt, were blasphemous fables, and dangerous deceits.”

Oh that the Church of Ireland today would consider the practices of Rome to be “blasphemous fables and dangerous deceits”.

Instead, a man who adhered to all the blasphemies listed above is held up as somebody admirable to the church’s future clergy.

May God move in revival once more in our land, and may we dedicate ourselves to prayer that it might come to pass.

2 Chronicles 7:14: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

Paganism promoted again by Church of Ireland in County Armagh

2 Timothy 3:13: “But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.”

In May 2018, we highlighted the abominable and outrageous situation wherein a Church of Ireland ‘minister’ was revealed to be the leader of an organisation called the ‘Centre for Celtic Spirituality’ and was promoting and practising various pagan rituals.

This included holding events which ‘Rev’ Grace Clunie (pictured, top) described as “earthwalks”, with one such event held to mark the pagan festival of Beltane (or Bealtaine).

Curiously, the website on which she promoted such, with other recommendations including “creating an outdoor prayer shrine or befriending a tree to pray / meditate outdoors”, seems to have disappeared since we last wrote about it.

Sadly, the centre itself hasn’t disappeared.

And just three weeks ago, on Wednesday, 12 February a Church of Ireland parish centre in County Armagh was the venue for an event addressed by ‘Rev’ Grace Clunie entitled, ‘Celtic Spirituality and St Brigid’.

The ‘Jethro Centre’ in Lurgan played host to this celebration of paganism.

In our article almost two years ago we highlighted much of what is wrong with the Celtic Spirituality nonsense espoused by ‘Rev’ Grace Clunie and would invite you to read that article by clicking here.

The possibly fictional character of St Brigid is nothing but the subject of pagan folklore hijacked by Rome and given a Chriatian gloss (a particular skill of Rome’s).

Saint Brigid is widely recognised as being a pagan goddess transformed by Rome into one of their ‘saints’.

So why would a Church of Ireland ‘minister’ want to speak in such a manner about a pagan deity turned Papist saint?

Furthermore, why would the Church of Ireland, supposedly a Christian, not pagan or Papist (though paganism and Popery are pretty similar) church, tolerate one of its ‘ministers’ speaking about a pagan deity turned Papist saint?

One likely reason is that the Church of Ireland doesn’t particularly care what goes on under its banner or by those who collect their wages from them and live in their properties.

To see a clear example of this, one must only look at the disgraceful case of Rev Andrew Rawding, Church of Ireland minister in the Coalisland and Stewartstown areas of County Tyrone.

Not only does he appear to be striving to make himself the patron saint of the sodomite movement by attending every ‘Pride’ parade he can find and by taking up the role of vice-Chairman of the utterly ungodly Mid-Ulster Pride grouping, but he has hosted at least one of its meetings in his own house.

Well, we should say he has hosted at least one of its meetings in the rectory provided to him by the Church of Ireland which, unless it is unlike virtually every other Church of Ireland rectory in the country, is provided to him rent or mortgage free.

What does the Church of Ireland do about this? They can’t have not heard about his antics, given he has done his utmost to ensure he has received maximum publicity for his stance in defying God.

Indeed, we know for a fact this was brought directly to the attention of the recently retired Archbishop of Armagh, Most Ecumenical Richard Clarke (pictured, below), the most senior figure in the Church of Ireland.

What did he do about it? Nothing.

Indeed, ‘Rev’ Grace Clunie’s promotion of paganism is carried out within just a few miles of Armagh city, the site of Most Ecumenical Richard Clarke’s episcopal seat.

Job 11:14 gives us sound guidance as to what we should do when we are confronted by sin, be it our own or that under our responsibility.

It says: “If iniquity be in thine hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles.”

It is within the power of the Archbishop of Armagh, or was when these outrageous situations presented themselves, to do something about and refuse to let it dwell in the tabernacles of his church.

However, he has very clearly failed to do so, an action (or inaction) which is reprehensible.

This event at the Jethro Centre was promoted by what is called the ‘Community Outreach Group’, according to the Roman Catholic parish bulletin for Lurgan.

The website for the Jethro Centre states this of the Community Outreach Group: “The Community Outreach Group, which comes under the umbrella of SPCA, was formed in 2004 as a result of an initiative by the Rev Dr Maurice Elliott, a former rector of Shankill Parish, and is a partnership between the churches of Shankill Parish, St Peter’s Parish and St Paul’s Parish.”

St Peter’s and St Paul’s are both Roman Catholic churches, so this is an overtly ecumenical group.

Rev Dr Maurice Elliott (pictured, below), referred to in the quote above, is the Director of the Theological Institute of the Church of Ireland, meaning he is in charge of the training of aspiring ministers within that denomination.

Given his clear commitment to mingling with Romanism, it would appear highly unlikely he is a satisfactory individual to entrust with training men whose chief purpose ought to be the fearless preaching of the full counsel of God, which would include denouncing false religions such as that of Rome.

This is but yet further evidence of the weakness of the Church of Ireland in these days of apostasy and departure from God’s Word.

Dear Christian, be wary of allowing yourself to fall under the influence of such dangerous events as this, which mere attendance at will have the effect of damaging your walk with Christ and His cause in our land.

Romans 12:1-2: “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

Rev Andrew Rawding leads celebrations as sodomite ‘Mid Ulster Pride’ group is launched

Daniel 4:37: “…those that walk in pride he is able to abase.”

The wicked and shameful descent of Church of Ireland minister Rev Andrew Rawding (pictured, top) was further deepened on Thursday night, 16 January as he led celebrations marking the launch of the Mid Ulster Pride sodomite grouping.

Deputy Chairman of the Mid Ulster Pride group, he will be one of the chief organisers of the pro-sodomy ‘Pride’ parade which these rebels against God plan to hold in Cookstown, County Tyrone on Saturday, 13 June.

We would urge all Christians to pray with sincerity and faith that God would intervene in the coming months to put their plans awry and cause this event never to take place. If we but have faith as a grain of mustard seed, Jesus Himself tells us, this WILL be done.

Matthew 17:20: “If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”

We asked a few months ago what the Church of Ireland was going to do about Rev Andrew Rawding marching in not one, not two, but three sodomite ‘Pride’ parades over the summer of 2019, in Belfast, Londonderry and Newry.

The sickening and deplorable response which was revealed was that they were going to do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

Not a thing – the Church of Ireland was happy to stand by and let this Christ-denying, Bible-rejecting heretic engage in promoting and supporting those involved in the unspeakably sinful lifestyle associated with the sodomite movement.

If any professing Christian doesn’t think this is a motivator to total and utter separation from the Church of Ireland in every single conceivable way, then we really would be concerned about you.

Amidst the sickening scenes being paraded online of the despicable launch event in the Royal Hotel in Cookstown on Thursday night (and you can see Rev Andrew Rawding wearing a ‘Pride’ scarf in this picture from the event, below), there was certainly some comfort to be gained from what was happening outside.

A sizeable band of protesters gathered outside the Royal Hotel, indeed it appeared to be a larger number than those who attended this despicable event.

A letter had been published in the NewsLetter earlier in the week signed by five Free Presbyterian ministers urging for a protest, each of whom deserve the utmost praise for taking their stand against what is very much the in vogue sin of the age, an issue right at the coalface of the Christian battle today.

We understand a number of different groups gathered to hold the protest, not just Free Presbyterians, and we commend every single person in attendance for spending what was a cold and wet night outside the camp, bearing reproach for our Saviour.

The camp, of course, the worldly venue was the Royal Hotel, and we would urge everyone reading this, whether they live in that Mid Ulster area or are ever in that area passing through, to studiously avoid giving them any custom.

Indeed, on the Mid Ulster Pride facebook page, one can see a series of posts if they scroll back just a brief amount featuring various businesses offering sponsorship and prizes for a raffle held at the launch event to this ungodly grouping.

One of these is the Royal Hotel and the list also features a number of salons, a butcher, a tattoo parlour (not that any Christian should be in the latter in any event) and others. We would encourage all readers to acquaint themselves with the list and make sure they do not fund businesses openly supporting sodomy where at all possible.

On the subject of facebook, a number of individuals saw fit to mock the protesters, prompting a chorus of their pals and cohorts to join in with the mockery and vile, vulgar, filthy abuse.

Clearly the irony of their ‘love everyone’ message not extending to Christians is utterly lost on them.

A great many of the comments, claiming that the protesters were all elderly, which was far from the case, going by photographs of the event, stated that they looked forward to those speaking out for Christ dying. Very loving indeed!

Indeed, one went so far as to say that she would like to “give them all ‘meet baby Jesus’ tablets now”.

Again, very loving indeed of these wonderfully tolerant, open minded people. One can only imagine the hysterical response if a Christian had said something a tenth as violent or offensive as that.

We will remind everyone reading this that the Bible is utterly clear on the matter of homosexuality.

It would appear that Rev Andrew Rawding’s conscience is seared with a hot iron, but for anyone else seeing this who supports such rebellion against God, we hope and pray these words will cause you to see this wicked sin for what it is.

Leviticus 18:22: “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.”

Romans 1:24-27: “Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.”

Jude 1:7: “Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.”

This is but a brief snapshot of the, contrary to the claims of the pro-sodomy movement, NUMEROUS examples of God’s Word outright, categorically, unequivocally condemning same-sex relationships.

It is dishonest or Biblically illiterate to try to claim otherwise.

Rev Andrew Rawding has previously been quoted stating that he had, at a time, considered homosexuality to be wrong, but has changed his mind. God’s Word hasn’t changed though!

Deep down, of course, he knows it is wrong but has allowed himself to believe his own lie and is as those in Romans 1:32 who “have pleasure in them” who commit such grave sins.

That verse says: “Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.”

He is cheering on those who are engaged in a lifestyle utterly contrary to God’s Word and will.

Rev Andrew Rawding ought to be doing the exact opposite, imploring them to turn from their sin.

What a fearful judgement awaits all who fail to warn the wicked from their way.

Ezekiel 3:18: “When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.”

There are those who try to claim that Christians who speak out against sodomy are guilty of thinking themselves better than those who support or partake in that lifestyle.

This is categorically not the case.

It is out of a deep love for God’s truth and the souls of all men that we speak out, for we do not wish to see any perish in a lost eternity in hell.

Man is God’s creation, but his sin is not God’s handiwork, salvation is available to any who call upon Christ for it and He is quick to save us if we but seek after Him, as Paul told the Athenians.

Acts 17:26-28 says: “And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.”

We owe our breath to God and it is our responsibility to use our fleeting time on this earth to His honour and glory, not to dedicate our time to open defiance of Him.

God has already determined “the bounds of (our) habitation”, He knows how long He will choose to let us live.

People die young and in unexpected circumstances all the time, or are cut off even at bigger ages when it appears all is well with regards their health.

We do not know what lies ahead, we cannot be sure of tomorrow.

Turn from your sin, turn from your lifestyle of rebellion against God, turn to Christ for salvation, seek Him with all of your heart and ask for forgiveness, and He will save you.

Jeremiah 29:13: “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”

2 Peter 3:9: “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

1 John 1:9-10: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.”

For the believer, we would urge you once more to pray all the more earnestly for our land.

Let us pray that God would indeed, in wrath remember mercy and that God would be pleased to visit us again with an outpouring of His Spirit in a Holy Ghost revival, and let us pray against this planned LGBT ‘Pride’ event in Cookstown and indeed all such planned events in our country.

Let us have that faith that would move mountains.

New sodomite ‘Pride’ group meeting in Church of Ireland minister’s house

1 Corinthians 6:9-10: “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.”

The great cause of the increasingly godless society in which we live is that of the sodomite agenda and the sodomite’s so-called rights.

It is bad enough and sad enough that much of civic society has first cowered before the sodomite steamroller trying to crush all dissent in its path before then jumping on board the steamroller, but when the professing church does this then it truly is despicable.

Yet that is emphatically what is going on in County Tyrone as Church of Ireland minister Rev Andrew Rawding (pictured, top) has leaped head first into the pro-sodomy movement.

We previously highlighted on this page the fact that Rev Andrew Rawding had arrogantly taken it upon himself to “apologise” to the sodomite movement movement for the church’s alleged mistreatment of those who choose to live their lives in open defiance of God’s Word. When he will apologise to God for his betrayal of His Word is another matter.

Not only that, Rev Andrew Rawding joined in on three sodomite ‘Pride’ parades over the summer, in the cities of Belfast, Londonderry and Newry.

And, worse still, the Church of Ireland, in a despicable, Pontius Pilate-esque act of washing their hands, pathetically stated that official church teaching is that marriage is between one man and one woman but any minister who disagrees with this fundamental Biblical tenet “may continue to hold their point of view”.

How risible is that stance? Does the Word of God mean so little to the Church of Ireland generally and the Diocese of Armagh specifically that they should refuse to take any action against a minister who is acting so openly contrarily to what the Bible teaches?

Secure in the knowledge that he will not be reprimanded in the slightest by the church, Rev Andrew Rawding is further bringing shame and disgrace to the Church of Ireland by hosting a meeting of a recently formed sodomite group in his area.

Mid Ulster Pride has formed in recent months and appears to be based in the Coalisland area, where Rev Andrew Rawding is a minister.

Rev Andrew Rawding has the charge over three churches in that general area, Holy Trinity Church, Brackaville, St Patrick’s Church, Ballyclog and St Patrick’s Church, Donaghendry. It would appear the first of those three is based in Coalisland.

And a post on the Mid Ulster Pride facebook page by one of its members states: “I have been made aware of a new LGBTQ community based in Coalisland for the Mid Ulster LGBTQ community aiming to find support and equality.

“The next meeting is on 28th November in Rev Andrew’s house in the rectory in Coalisland at 7.30pm.”

So there you have it, a Church of Ireland rectory is being used as the base for a sodomite ‘Pride’ grouping.

What an absolutely outrageous situation this is.

What will the Church of Ireland do about it? Will they wring their hands and wash their hands once more? Or will they take swift action to stamp out such wretched abuse of their property and such rank apostasy from one of their ministers?

We would hazard a guess that it will most certainly not be the latter.

Such is Rev Andrew Rawding’s giving over of himself to promoting and supporting that which God has called an “abomination” and “unnatural” that he is providing a base for a sodomite group and, indeed his facebook page profile picture is currently the Mid Ulster Pride logo (pictured, below).

He is doing all that he can to promote something which God has pronounced His curse on.

One need only look at the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah to see just how gravely God looks upon sodomy.

God said their “sin is very grievous” in Genesis 18:20, while Genesis 13:13 says “the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the Lord exceedingly”.

God considers such wickedness to be “exceedingly” sinful.

Jude 1:7 further demonstrates for us how God’s wrath fell because of their sexual sins, notably their “going after strange flesh”, ie sodomy.

That verse says: “Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.”

To disregard the clear commands of Scripture in this regard is frankly blasphemous.

Rev Andrew Rawding’s job as a minister is to guide the sheep and point them to the way of salvation, which is through Jesus Christ alone.

Instead, he is leading any under his charge into sin by his voluble support for sodomite marriage.

Rev Andrew Rawding cannot possibly be teaching his three congregations (allowing him to do triple the damage!) the truth of God’s Word when he is, as those who practised and supported sodomy in Romans 1, “chang[ing] the truth of God into a lie”.

Rev Andrew Rawding is putting “bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter” (Isaiah 5:20).

A preacher leading others into error is a most grave thing.

Ezekiel 3:17-19 says: “Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.”

We are told in 1 Corinthians 6 that, among several other sins, the “effeminate” and “abusers of themselves with mankind” shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

However, we are then told that some of the converts of the church in Corinth had been such sinners, but they were now washed, sanctified and justified “in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God”.

There is salvation available for the homosexual, we are told in 2 Peter 3:9 that God is “longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance”.

We know that it is not God’s desire for any to go to hell, but, because He is also a God of justice and will not look upon sin, He will not permit sinners, including the “effeminate” and “abusers of themselves with mankind” to enter the kingdom of heaven.

However, Rev Andrew Rawding is refusing to preach this, in fact he is creating his own, opposite gospel message.

It could rightly be said to Rev Andrew Rawding that “thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life”.

There are two grievous consequences of this.

Firstly, “the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity” and, secondly, “his blood will I require at thine hand”.

There is a sobering thought.

Rev Andrew Rawding may think he is being so loving and gracious, open and tolerant, even Christian, but he is encouraging sodomites on in their sin and condemning them to the fate of dying in their iniquity.

On top of this, he is guilty of the blood of that same sodomite whom he refused to warn, but rather affirmed him in his sin.

Dear reader and, if there is any with any kind of homosexual desires reading this, do not listen to the likes of Rev Andrew Rawding.

They may make you feel better now and pat you on the back, but they are ripening you for a lost eternity in that awful place called hell.

Instead, turn to Christ, He can transform you by the “renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:2), he replaces our old desires with new desires, He changes our whole outlook on life and His blood cleanses us from all sin.

Won’t you call on this wonderful Saviour even today? We are told in Acts 16:31 that “whosoever calleth upon the name of the Lord shall be saved”.

If you are saved and reading this, won’t you please share this article widely to help warn as many as possible against the shameful ministry of Rev Andrew Rawding?

Also, we would encourage as many as possible to contact the Diocese of Armagh and the Church of Ireland to ask them what their view is on Rev Andrew Rawding hosting a sodomite ‘Pride’ meeting in the rectory, a property owned by the church?

Do they endorse such use of their property to promote that which the church proclaims to be opposed to?

Or will they sit on their hands and let Rev Andrew Rawding continue to defy God and His Word and bring shame down upon their church?

May even someone in the hierarchy of the Church of Ireland speak out against it and take a stand for Christ to oppose such outrageous apostasy.

Will the Church of Ireland face the same condemnation as Judah?

Ezekiel 22:30: “And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.”

Church of Ireland statement – ministers are free to march in LGBT ‘Pride’ parades

Just three days ago, we put the question to the Church of Ireland – were they going to take any type of a stand against one of its ministers, Rev Andrew Rawding’s (pictured, top) disgraceful conduct in taking it upon himself to “apologise” to the LGBT community for how the church had “mistreated” them?

Well, it didn’t take long for an answer to come along, albeit indirectly.

In an article featured in the Belfast Newsletter, the Church of Ireland stated that the like of Rev Andrew Rawding “may continue to hold their point of view”.

Yes, you have read that correctly.

The Rev Andrew Rawding has the Church of Ireland’s blessing to continue marching in sodomite ‘Pride’ parades, the latest of which he took part in was in Newry, County Armagh today (Saturday).

This followed on from him marching in the sodomite ‘Pride’ parades in Belfast and Londonderry.

This is what the Newsletter article said: “A spokesman for the Church of Ireland said that a church Synod resolution on human sexuality in 2012 affirmed that marriage is “a holy mystery in which one man and one woman become one flesh”. The resolution also opposed “bigotry, hurtful words or actions and demeaning or damaging language” in relation to sexuality.

“The spokesman said that church teaching is agreed in a “democratic” process; Many clergy and laity disagree with church teaching “and may continue to hold their point of view, but it will not be the official position of the Church”.”

So there you have it, the Church of Ireland’s ministers are free to march in LGBT ‘Pride’ parades with no fear of any censures or reprisals.

What a shocking, shameful and outrageous example for the Church of Ireland to set.

This is a clear abandonment of any efforts in the Church of Ireland to deal with sin, which is the central point of the gospel.

We cannot be forgiven if we do not repent of our sin.

We cannot receive a place in heaven if we do not repent of our sin.

When the church fails to take a clear stand against sin, it places an obstacle in the way of people being forgiven of their sin.

That is repugnant.

It really is shocking that the Church of Ireland can sit by idly and say there is no problem with Rev Andrew Rawding loudly and proudly rejecting his own church’s official teaching and, far more importantly, the Bible’s teaching on which relationships are permissible in the eyes of God.

What exactly is the point of a church having clergy who disagree with church teaching?

Why don’t they find a church which they do agree with?

Of course, many of these individuals are agitators trying to force change from within the Church of Ireland to get the church to the point where same-sex ‘marriage’ and all other forms of perversion are accepted in the church.

And the pathetic inaction of those in charge of the church is allowing this to happen.

Some will, no doubt, say, as do many Presbyterians looking to make sodomy acceptable in their church, that this is evidence of a “broad church” type of Christianity.

Let us remind them that narrow is the way that leads to salvation.

Matthew 7:13-14: “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”

It is not a great sign of tolerance or, as some would even more fallaciously try to claim, a sign of Christianity, to laud some sort of “broad church” approach.

God has set certain standards and parameters to which we are to abide.

His Son, Jesus Christ, says in the passage above that “narrow is the way” which leads to life eternal while the broad way leads to “destruction”.

And that is exactly where the road Rev Andrew Rawding is ushering people down leads.

And, by flatly refusing to step in and address his shameful shepherding of the flocks over which he has authority (Holy Trinity Brackaville, St Patrick’s Ballyclog and St Patrick’s Donaghendry), the Church of Ireland is equally guilty.

The following verses in that same chapter are also very relevant in this context of churches failing to fulfil their mission of imploring people to repent and believe the gospel.

Matthew 7:15-20: “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.”

The fruit being brought forth by Rev Andrew Rawding is of the most rotten variety.

He is encouraging people to continue on in their sin and encouraging others to do the same.

This is something which is strongly condemned by the Saviour.

Matthew 23:13 says: “But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.”

Preaching that God is accepting of that which He has in fact called an “abomination” very clearly is an example of preventing others from entering into the kingdom of heaven.

This is surely a very clear example of a separation matter for any true child of God within the Church of Ireland.

Dear believer within the Church of Ireland, your leadership has publicly stated that Rev Andrew Rawding, and any other minister who so chooses, is free to show utter contempt for your church’s teaching and the Word of God’s teaching on this most vital of matters.

Is this a situation you consider to be tolerable?

The leadership of the Church of Ireland, which starts with Most Ecumenical Richard Clarke (pictured, below), the Archbishop of Armagh, is disgracefully refusing to take their stand for God.

Will you?

We surely cannot be silent in the face of such wilful apostasy from the Church of Ireland.

Let us all follow the Scriptural call to be separated from the workers of iniquity.

We don’t have to be members of or attendees at the Church of Ireland for this to be applicable to us.

Does our church have any links with this church? Do we attend services in the Church of Ireland? Do we attend social events in the Church of Ireland? Do Church of Ireland ministers ever speak at our church?

There can be no links with a church which refuses to address sin.

How can blessing be found where rebellion against God is present?

God hates sin.

This is a simple yet fundamental Biblical precept.

We can see so many examples of this throughout Scripture.

We can see God expressing his hatred for it in his proclamations against His chosen people.

Hosea 9:15-17 gives a clear example of this.

It says: “All their wickedness is in Gilgal: for there I hated them: for the wickedness of their doings I will drive them out of mine house, I will love them no more: all their princes are revolters. Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yea, though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb. My God will cast them away, because they did not hearken unto him: and they shall be wanderers among the nations.”

If God declares such judgment on His covenant people, how much more wary ought we, as Gentiles, to be faithful to Him.

The Apostle Paul likened us to branches being grafted on to the tree after the branches representing the Jews had been broken off.

Warning the Gentiles in Rome to remain faithful, he said in Romans 11:21: “For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.”

There is a price to be paid for sin. Do we want to associate ourselves with it? Surely our answer will be, as Paul so often wrote, “God forbid”.

Let us separate ourselves in every fashion from the Church of Ireland, who have now officially sanctioned its ministers marching for sodomy and transgenderism.

Let us go outside the camp to be on the Lord’s side.

2 Corinthians 6:17: “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you”.

Rev Andrew Rawding marches in another sodomite ‘Pride’ parade – will Church of Ireland leadership do anything about it?

Proverbs 24:11-12: “If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain; If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?”

There is an old saying which touches on the theme of the verses above – that of God’s reproof if we fail to warn those headed for destruction of the danger they are in.

It has been attributed to many different characters, but it is simply that “the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing”.

And certainly what we are seeing in this day and age is a deepening of the departure from God, coupled by an increasing and perplexing amount of elective mutism – just when a voice is needed to be raised against the apostasy all around us, everyone appears to be silent.

Do we hear fearless and uncompromising voices such as those of Rev Ian Paisley or CH Spurgeon in our day?

Sad to say, there appears to be a dearth of ministers willing to take a voluble public stand against sin.

And it would appear, sadly, that continued God-defiance by Church of Ireland rector Rev Andrew Rawding (pictured, top) has gone totally unnoticed and certainly unrestricted by the hierarchy of his church.

Rev Andrew Rawding, as we highlighted a few weeks ago, took it upon himself to “apologise” on behalf of “the church” for how it has allegedly “mistreated” sodomites and transgender people.

It was certainly a rather presumptuous move to make for someone who has hitherto been a fairly obscure Church of Ireland minister from Coalisland in County Tyrone.

Rev Andrew Rawding made this arrogant “apology” (pictured, above) at the sodomite ‘Pride’ parade in Belfast and he took his clerical compromise show on the road again last weekend by “apologising” to those acting in open rebellion against God at the Foyle ‘Pride’ celebration in Londonderry.

He proudly paraded his rejection of the Biblical prohibition of same-sex relationships on his Facebook page and in the Belfast Telegraph.

It certainly is interesting that the sodomite movement has opted to use the term ‘Pride’ as the slogan for the public expression of their unbiblical lobby, given that pride is comprehensively condemned throughout Scripture.

Here are just a few examples.

Proverbs 16:18: “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.”

1 John 2:16: “For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.”

Daniel 4:37: “Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.”

That closing part of the last of the three verses could be written for the sodomite movement – “those that walk in pride he is able to abase”.

What a great comfort it is to know that the Almighty God of heaven, “whose works are truth, and his ways judgment” (there’s a word the Bible rejecting ‘Christians’ hate), is able to bring down those who exalt themselves against Him.

While spiritual leaders may forsake their responsibilities and fail to speak out against departure from His Word, we can be sure that God, whose ways are judgment, will not allow sin to go unchecked forever.

However, this does not absolve those who fail to take a stand for Him.

Even though a turn of events is all part of God’s plan, the guilt of the guilty is not mitigated by this.

This is a simple God-ordained principle, spoken from the mouth of the Saviour.

Matthew 18:7: “Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!”

So there really is no fig leaf, no excuse for Rev Andrew Rawding to offer on the day of judgment for his betrayal of God’s Word in lining up with His enemies.

And the same can be said for those occupying the highest positions within the Church of Ireland Diocese of Armagh, which Rev Andrew Rawding’s churches, Holy Trinity Church, Brackaville, St Patrick’s Church, Ballyclog and St Patrick’s Church, Donaghendry, fall under.

At the very top of the pile in the Armagh Diocese is the most senior Church of Ireland minister in the country, the Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland, Most Reverend Richard Clarke (pictured, below).

This is an individual whose own open defiance of God’s Word in relation to his shabby ecumenical compromise with the pagan religion of Rome we have previously highlighted.

Such is his rejection of the Biblical call to separation, he has rightly earned the moniker of Most Ecumenical Richard Clarke.

He has achieved this ignoble distinction by actions such as writing a letter to the Pope begging him to visit Northern Ireland, marking St Patrick’s Day last year in his clerical domain of Armagh city by bringing his parishioners into Rome’s clutches and earlier this year he was the guest speaker at the ecumenical Causeway Coast Peace Group’s 17th anniversary service, held in a Romanist chapel in Ballycastle, County Antrim.

Given his Bible rejecting credentials in this matter, his steadfast refusal to “earnestly contend for the faith” (Jude v 3), it is perhaps unsurprising he has allowed such open rebellion to take place under his watch.

However, as we have said, this is not an excuse or justification for his inaction.

It is not just Most Ecumenical Richard Clarke who has apparently failed to address this outrageous conduct of Rev Andrew Rawding, there are others in high ranking positions who have been silent in the face of such rebellion against God.

The Archdeacon of Armagh, according to the Armagh Diocese’s website, is the Venerable Rev Terry Scott (pictured, below), minister of St Swithin’s Parish Church in Magherafelt, County Londonderry.

What has Venerable Rev Terry Scott got to say on the matter?

Archdeacons hold a fair deal of sway, yet it would seem he, too, has opted to employ elective mutism in the face of Rev Andrew Rawding’s rejection of God’s Word.

According to the clergy list in the diocese on their own website, there is one other minister who has risen to the rank of ‘Venerable’.

That is the Venerable Rev Andrew Forster. He apparently holds the title of Archdeacon of Ardboe, a small village on the shores of Lough Neagh.

What roles or responsibilities come with this title we have no idea, but it would appear he holds rank within the Diocese of Armagh.

Rev Andrew Forster is also the minister of St Anne’s Parish Church in Dungannon, County Tyrone.

Another high ranking clergyman within the diocese is the Dean of Armagh, Very Rev Gregory Dunstan (pictured, below).

He has previously featured on ‘Protestant Revival’ due to his ecumenical compromise, which included his salivating at the prospect of a Romanist monk being appointed as an ecumenical canon at St Patrick’s Church of Ireland cathedral in Armagh and his preaching at a dreadful week of meetings in St Anne’s Cathedral in Belfast which was also addressed by a Jesuit priest.

It is hard to imagine a determined ecumenist speaking out against a different form of Bible rejection, and it would appear he, too, has remained silent in the face of Rev Andrew Rawding’s conduct.

Two further clergymen who are members of the Chapter of Armagh Cathedral are worthy of mention here, as they hold the roles of Precentor and Chancellor respectively.

They are Canon Norman Porteus and Canon Andrew Dawson (although the Armagh Diocese website’s clergy list calls him Canon Drew Dawson), both of Derryloran Parish Church in Cookstown, County Tyrone.

All of these men occupy positions where they could apply pressure for action to be taken or take the action directly themselves, but instead Rev Andrew Rawding carries on unchecked in his defiance against God.

What a sad situation this is.

Of course, there could be discussions going on behind the scenes, perhaps some disagree with Rev Andrew Rawding’s actions, but who among them has spoken out against it publicly? None, as far as we can see.

Every member of the clergy in the diocese has a responsibility as well to speak out, not just these individuals in lofty positions.

After all, what use is a watchman that does not sound the alarm or a dog that does not bark to warn of danger?

God takes a very low view of such.

Isaiah 56:10-11: “His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber. Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.”

What a fierce condemnation there is for those who fail to take their stand for him.

Will you remain silent as well, dear reader?

Let us not sit back while ministers, claiming to act in the name of Christ and on behalf of His church, refuse to speak out against error in the ranks of the clergy and allow great damage to be done to the cause of Christ.

Acts 20:26-30: “Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men. For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God. Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.”
