Blasphemous Archbishop of Canterbury praying for the dead!

2 Samuel 12:16,18-23: “David therefore besought God for the child; and David fasted, and went in, and lay all night upon the earth. And it came to pass on the seventh day, that the child died. And the servants of David feared to tell him that the child was dead: for they said, Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spake unto him, and he would not hearken unto our voice: how will he then vex himself, if we tell him that the child is dead? But when David saw that his servants whispered, David perceived that the child was dead: therefore David said unto his servants, Is the child dead? And they said, He is dead. Then David arose from the earth, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his apparel, and came into the house of the Lord, and worshipped: then he came to his own house; and when he required, they set bread before him, and he did eat. Then said his servants unto him, What thing is this that thou hast done? thou didst fast and weep for the child, while it was alive; but when the child was dead, thou didst rise and eat bread. And he said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept: for I said, Who can tell whether God will be gracious to me, that the child may live? But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.”

This example of King David ceasing to petition God for the recovery of his child when he knew the child had died is not only an instance of common sense, but it also teaches us a clear Scriptural truth.

It is common sense because when someone dies then we know they aren’t going to get any better and the clear Scriptural truth is that after we die we go straight to heaven or hell, depending on whether we had placed our faith and trust in Christ for salvation and had our sins washed away.

David states of his child that “I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me”.

There was no question in the mind of the man who we are told was a man after God’s own heart that there was no value in praying for his son once he died.

Yet the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, or more aptly the Arch-apostate of Canterbury Justin Welby, stated brazenly on his facebook page that he was doing just that – offering prayers for the dead.

On Saturday, 4 April, the old Arch-apostate posted on Facebook the following: “Tonight I am praying for those who have died. Loving God, may they know the comfort of your presence.”

Such an act is nothing but a wretched Romanist superstition with absolutely no grounding in the canon of Holy Scripture.

There is no merit in prayers for the dead. If a person is saved when they die they go to heaven and, sadly, if they aren’t saved they are lost for all eternity in that awful place called hell.

This is spelled out clearly for us again by the Saviour, who, to put it mildly, knows an awful lot more about eternity than the Arch-apostate of Canterbury Justin Welby, in Luke 16.

Recounting the story of the rich man and Lazarus, Jesus tells us in Luke 16:22-26: “And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.”

The rich man woke up in hell when he died, he didn’t lie in a state of nothingness for a while, he didn’t go to purgatory as the Romish lies would say, he didn’t have a chance of getting from hell to heaven – “they which would pass from hence to you cannot, neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence”.

There is no benefit whatsoever in praying for the dead, nothing could save the rich man from his eternal destination.

Arch-apostate of Canterbury Justin Welby would do well to read these passages and appreciate the blasphemy of what he is doing, and then, in sorrow and distress, cry to God for mercy and for Him to save his soul from a lost eternity like that rich man.

The second part of Arch-apostate Justin Welby’s disgraceful comment on Facebook continues the blasphemy and takes the form of a prayer, when he says: “Loving God, may they know the comfort of your presence”.

As we have previously alluded to, those who have passed from this life into eternity cannot know the comfort of God’s presence unless they were saved when they died.

If they are in God’s presence then they are assured of much, much more than just comfort.

Psalm 16:11 tells us: “Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”

God’s presence gives us “fulness of joy”, or an abundance of joy, a complete and utter satisfaction and delight, indeed a joy that passes all earthly understanding is the reward of those who “love his appearing”.

We don’t need to pray that those who have left their mortal frames on earth and have “put on immortality” (1 Corinthians 15:53) would be comforted, we know they are in the presence of God, experiencing that “fulness of joy” and “pleasures for evermore”.

This is a wonderful assurance for the believer and for Arch-apostate of Canterbury Justin Welby to seek to denigrate the wonderful inheritance we have in Christ is nothing short of despicable.

Equally, it is vain and pointless to pray for those dead who have denied Christ in their life as they are in hell for evermore.

Arch-apostate of Canterbury Justin Welby says he is offering prayers for “those who have died”, he didn’t try to make any distinction, not that he should have been praying for anyone who was dead anyway.

An unsaved individual, we are told in Luke 16, is separated from the saints of God by a “great gulf”.

This gulf, we are told, is “fixed”, it cannot move, and furthermore, it is final – “neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence”.

There is no way back for the person who dies in their sins – their eternal destination is sealed, there are no second chances.

That is why, dear reader, it is so important that we are ready to die.

2 Corinthians 6:2 reminds us that “now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation”.

God tells us in Genesis 6:3 that “My spirit shall not always strive with man”.

If God is speaking to you, don’t ignore Him, He may never speak to you again.

When we die our fate is sealed and no amount of prayers from Justin Welby or any other allegedly Protestant apostate or any earnest but blinded Romanist will avail us anything.

Come to Christ today for salvation, repent of your sins, and spend all eternity in His presence, experiencing that wonderful “fulness of joy”.

Bible comes second to popular opinion – new Archbishop of York

Hebrews 13:8: “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.”

Malachi 3:6: “For I am the LORD, I change not”.

Matthew 24:35: “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”

Among God’s innumerable wonderful characteristics, there is His immutability.

That is, God does not change, He is, as the first verse referenced at the top of this article states, “the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever”.

God’s Word is eternally unchangeable too, even as Jesus attested in one of the verses above.

This is reinforced in the final book of the Bible.

Revelation 22:18-19 says: “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”

Yet so many so-called Christian clerics seem to think they know better than God and His inspired Word.

And now we have witnessed such a man taking up the second highest position in the Church of England.

Stephen Cottrell (pictured, top) has been appointed as the new Archbishop of York, replacing the soon to be retiring John Sentamu.

And he has nailed his colours to the mast in favour of sodomy and against God and His Word.

The soon-to-be Archbishop Stephen Cottrell, who is currently merely a plain old bishop in the Chelmsford Diocese, in 2017, in an address to leaders in that diocese, stated his belief that biblical teaching on sexuality should be secondary to 21st century western beliefs.

The Christian Institute reported his despicable comments in an article on their website.

An extract from their article states: “While Bishop Cottrell did acknowledge biblical passages spoke about the issue, he said they were merely ‘part of our story and our inheritance’.

“‘But what we can do is recognise that what we know now about human development and human sexuality requires us to look again at those texts to see what they are actually saying to our situation, for what we know now is not what was known then.”

“The future Archbishop also said there was ‘no reason’ why thanksgiving prayers or a communion service could not be offered for civil partnerships.”

What a sorry state of affairs this is.

Bishop Stephen Cottrell is supposed to be proclaiming God’s truth, not attempt to subvert it or diminish it.

What is the point of Bishop Stephen Cottrell as a minister when he doesn’t even believe the Bible is relevant? He can’t consider it relevant if modern notions and fancies are superior, in his eyes, to the Word of God.

Ephesians 4:14 warns us not to be swayed by the notions of men and hints at the type of character who attempts to change church teaching even when it is at complete odds with what God has revealed to His people in His Word.

That verse says: “That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive”.

Bishop Stephen Cottrell is one of those lying in wait to deceive and any who falls for what he says in this most grave matter are sadly deceived.

Apparently Bishop Stephen Cottrell has acknowledged the Bible does speak of homosexuality, though he doesn’t appear keen to dwell on it as it doesn’t fit his world view.

In spite of this, we will remind him once again what the Bible has to say.

Leviticus 18:22: “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.”

Jude 1:7: “Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.”

1 Corinthians 6:9-10: “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.”

Romans 1:26-27: “For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.”

This is but a brief snapshot of the consistent condemnation of same-sex relationships in Scripture.

Bishop Stephen Cottrell calls them simply “part of our story and inheritance” – what does that even mean?

They are clear warnings from God, that is what they are, and Bishop Stephen Cottrell is refusing to hear those warnings and refusing to repeat them.

Indeed, he is going a step further to say they don’t apply.

Dear reader, please do not carried about with every wind of doctrine, as so many are today, by the sleight of men like Bishop Stephen Cottrell.

Rather, let us hold fast to God and His Word, never wavering in our battle for Him.

‘Religiously bilingual’ Anglican vicar doubles up as Buddhist ‘Sensei’

It is increasingly bizarre and indeed distressing to see such flagrant and widespread mockery made of Christianity in our land.

With so many ministers and churches giving way to the sodomite agenda and so many ministers and churches turning church services into something more akin to a carnival, it is very evident that standards have slipped drastically.

However, it is still remarkable, even in such a context, that the Church of England harbours a man who has risen to the rank of canon who is also a Buddhist zen instructor.

Canon Chris Collingwood (pictured, top) is referred to as a ‘Sensei’, or teacher, within the Buddhist zen group he leads in York.

It would be rather laughable were it not so serious.

The Buddhist faith is utterly at odds with Christianity and the differences between the two are insurmountable.

How Canon Chris Collingwood has managed to do just that is frankly ludicrous.

The website ‘Diffen’ gives a comparison on many key points of the two faiths.

It states that, under the category ‘Belief of God’, “the idea of an omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent creator is rejected by Buddhists. The Buddha himself refuted the theistic argument that the universe was created by a self-conscious, personal God.”

So Buddhism outright denies the God of the Bible, right from the outset.

The very first words of the Bible are: “In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth”.

Within 10 seconds of beginning to read the Bible, it is clear the two faiths are incompatible.

Then, in relation to their beliefs in regards to life after death, this is what the Buddhist faith claims:

“Rebirth is one of the central beliefs of Buddhism. We are in an endless cycle of birth, death and re-birth, which can only be broken by attaining nirvana. Attaining nirvana is the only way to escape suffering permanently.”

Reincarnation, in other words, is a central belief in Buddhism. One may currently be a human but could be “reborn” in a future life as a chicken or a turtle or who knows what else.

The only rebirth known of in the Bible is when we are saved from our sins by faith in Christ and we instantly are made a new creature spiritually.

John 3:3: “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

We cannot see heaven without being born again.

Buddhism speaks of “attaining nirvana”, or earning or working towards “achieving a transcendent state in which there is neither suffering, desire, nor sense of self, and the subject is released from the effects of karma and the cycle of death and rebirth”.

This sense of nothingness is the final goal of Buddhism. It hardly seems worth the effort, does it?

Regardless, it is the absolute opposite of what is promised to those who believe on Christ, with Him there is “fulness of joy” and at His right hand “there are pleasures for evermore” (Psalm 16:11).

Also, Buddhism teaches a false gospel of works based righteousness, it speaks of “attaining” this “nirvana”.

Attainment means to “succeed in achieving something that one has worked for”.

This notion runs utterly at odds with what the Bible teaches and this is something Canon Chris Collingwood ought to know and, as such, he should shun the practices of this false religion.

The Bible teaches that salvation is of the free grace of God and is not obtained by any good or righteousness in us.

Exodus 33:19 says: “And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.”

God chooses upon whom He will show His mercy, He doesn’t ask us to perform a series of works, as is the case in Romanism or Buddhism, to one day possibly, maybe, hopefully reach paradise.

In Romanism and Buddhism and so many other religions, their idea of salvation is all doing, with true Christianity, which Protestantism is, salvation is all done.

Ephesians 2:8-9: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Even though Canon Chris Collingwood claims, in an interview conducted with the Daily Telegraph, that “Zen poses fewer problems (than other non-Christian customs) because it doesn’t claim to be a system of doctrine or belief”, he is leading people away from the truth of the gospel.

He is encouraging others to waste their time on the practices of eastern, Christ-denying religions, time which would be far better spent worshipping God and studying His Word.

If they did so, they certainly wouldn’t have a desire to engage in pagan practices such as zen meditation.

Canon Chris Collingwood, in the same interview, said he is “religiously bilingual” and has “a foot in more than one religious camp”.

This is another unscriptural position to which to hold.

Jesus said “he that is not with me is against me” (Matthew 12:30).

He also said in Matthew 6:24 that “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”

Canon Chris Collingwood is trying to serve two masters, he is claiming to serve God while dabbling with Buddha.

What a sad situation that is for him and those who come under his spiritual instruction.

Sadder still is the fact that he has been permitted to hold a meditation group in York Minster, the famous Church of England cathedral in the city of York, for the past number of years.

However, for whatever reason, they have recently been told to find another premises, with it being stated there had been complaints, rightly, that such practice was “incompatible with Christianity”.

While it is a long overdue resolution to reach and indeed such nonsense should never have even been given a second thought in the first place, it is to be welcomed that a voice of opposition has been raised.

And let us never be afraid to speak out against religious error wherever we find it.

There is much mingling of the seed in this day and age and it is up to those of us who are saved to cry out against it and refuse to let harm be done to the cause of Christ in our land without noisy opposition being mounted.

In such circumstances, religious compromisers and polluters of the temple, as it were, will be much less brazen in their disobedience to God and more likely to think twice about their ungodly actions.

On so many occasions the priests and the Pharisees wanted to physically attack Jesus, and they treated the Apostles in the same shameful manner, but the fear of what consequences it might bring stopped them from fulfilling their evil purpose.

Acts 5:17-19, 24-26: “Then the high priest rose up, and all they that were with him, (which is the sect of the Sadducees,) and were filled with indignation, And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison. But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, Now when the high priest and the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these things, they doubted of them whereunto this would grow. Then came one and told them, saying, Behold, the men whom ye put in prison are standing in the temple, and teaching the people. Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them without violence: for they feared the people, lest they should have been stoned.”

And let us even be that same thorn in the side of those who by their actions put themselves at odds with God.

Isaiah 58:1: “Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.”

Crazy golf and helter skelters – pathetic attempts by apostates to draw in crowds

As much of the professing church travels increasingly farther from the Word of God, the pews continue to empty.

Despite standards being lowered to the point where now there virtually are no standards left, there continues to be increasingly fewer people turning up on a Sunday to partake in many churches’ dead, ritualistic services.

So many Church of Ireland, Church of England, Presbyterian and Methodist churches are now “grouped”, with one minister responsible for two, three, sometimes four churches at once.

Whenever you see a minister in charge of several churches, you can usually guarantee it’s a result of apostasy somewhere along the way.

Of course, there are those churches which are still drawing in the punters, but that is because they have adopted the tactic of including worldliness in the church, turning meetings into soft rock concerts, full of pounding drums, electric guitars, dimmed / flashing lights, arm waving and jumping about.

But for the most part, churches which have overthrown the Word of God have slowly died over the decades, and this is no more prevalent than in the Church of England.

As the numbers there have consistently decreased, the church has consistently deteriorated and become increasingly repellent to Bible-believing Christians.

And in the past couple of weeks reports have emerged of two ludicrous efforts at English cathedrals to bring people in.

Indeed, it would be laughable were it not so serious and sad.

Rochester Cathedral has brought in a crazy golf course (pictured, below), while Norwich Cathedral has introduced a helter skelter fairground ride (pictured, top).

In the case of Norwich Cathedral, Rev Canon Andy Bryant said the motivation behind installing a 55 foot tall helter skelter in the main body of the church was to show off the roof bosses, or ornamental carvings in the cathedral ceiling, which stands 69 foot tall.

Quoted in an article for The Guardian newspaper, Canon Andy Bryant said: “We have one of the greatest collections of medieval roof bosses anywhere in northern Europe. The trouble is they are so high up that most people never get a chance to really appreciate them.

“And so was born the idea, could we get people up higher to these roof bosses and so appreciate that they are exquisite art as they are the most beautiful pieces of stone carving but also the story that’s captured within them which is the story of the Bible.”

So the main idea of this foolhardy initiative is to allow people to appreciate the building’s architecture.

Canon Andy Bryant wanted to show people the work of man rather than focus on the finished cross work of Christ.

Canon Andy Bryant wanted to celebrate the temporal, temporary beauty of what man has wrought, rather than implore people to “worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness” (Psalm 29:2).

The house of God is to be treated with reverence and to be respected as a place where we meet with our Creator, the Almighty God of heaven.

It is not to be turned into a fairground or a carnival to lure people in or create a few headlines.

Psalm 89:7 says: “God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.”

Is there reverence or godly fear at work in Norwich Cathedral as photographs and videos show people sliding down the helter skelter in what is supposed to be a venue for the worship of God?

It would hardly seem so.

The same sad conclusion can be drawn from a similar act of tomfoolery at Rochester Cathedral.

Clerics there have introduced a crazy golf course in the cathedral’s nave.

The move is the result of a link-up between Rochester Cathedral and the Rochester Bridge Trust to help educate people about the various bridges in that town in Kent.

And, apparently this move to introducing worldly entertainment has resulted in a marked increase in visitors to the cathedral, funnily enough.

It has been reported that over the first 16 days of the initiative the cathedral had received 13,000 visitors, double the 6,500 who visited the cathedral in the same time period last year.

According to the BBC report, “the golf course was a joint idea with the Rochester Bridge Trust and is designed to encourage young people to learn more about the engineering behind bridges.”

So it was not about encouraging young people to learn more about God or His Word, it was not about encouraging young people to realise they are a hell-deserving sinner in need of salvation, it was about teaching young people about the engineering behind bridges.

What a sad state of affairs.

The cathedral says there has also been a 22% rise in the “number of candles being lit at prayer stations”. So it has led to more Popishness as well.

Let us be clear, there is absolutely nothing wrong with helter skelters or crazy golf courses, but the church is a far from appropriate place for them.

The church exists to bring people closer to God, not to admire ceilings or swing golf clubs about.

We are told in God’s Word how we ought to reach those who are outside of Christ and the ordained means God has blessed in order to draw sinners to Himself.

It is by the faithful, simple preaching of the Word of God.

Romans 10:14: “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?”

1 Corinthians 1:18, 23: “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness”.

Would that the foolishness of helter skelters and crazy golf courses would be firmly swept to the side and that the preaching of Christ’s atoning death at Calvary was central in every section of the professing church.

We need ministers to preach of the corrupt nature of man brought about by the Fall in the Garden of Eden and how all are condemned except they repent of their sins and put their faith and trust in Christ for salvation.

Would that we could again live in revival times such as those in the time of the Acts of the Apostles.

Acts 6:7: “And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.”

Anglican Cathedral in Newcastle hosts LGBT festival focusing on ‘queering the church’

Habakkuk 2:5: “… he is a proud man, neither keepeth at home, who enlargeth his desire as hell, and is as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all people”.

The headline above is surely enough proof, were any needed, that the Church of England is emphatically an utterly apostate church.

Bad enough ministers refusing to speak out against the “vile” sin of sodomy (Romans 1:26), worse still when they support it, but how truly repugnant it is in the light of God’s Word to see churches actively promoting and celebrating that which God has called an “abomination” (Leviticus 18:22).

Yet that is what we are seeing as the north eastern English city of Newcastle gets set to host an LGBT festival in its cathedral.

This outrageous, rank apostasy is to be held in the Cathedral Church of St Nicholas in that city from this Friday, 19th to Sunday, 21st July.

A total of six different events will be held within it to coincide with the sodomite ‘Pride’ celebrations being held there this weekend.

Among these events is a panel discussion called ‘Queering the church: beyond tolerance to inclusion’.

That’s a pretty unambiguous title, isn’t it?

The panellists taking part are also rather noteworthy.

They include a ‘Rev’ Bingo Allison (pictured, top), who apparently defines themself as a “nonbinary, genderqueer transgender” person. Answers on a postcard if anyone knows what that actually means.

This individual is apparently an ordained deacon in the Church of England and a curate to The Order of the Black Sheep in Chesterfield, in Derbyshire in England, a rather bizarre, liberal “Christian community”.

It also currently has positioned on its website’s home page a picture captioned with “Curate on tour at London Pride yesterday”.

The photograph shows ‘Rev’ Bingo Allison in the middle holding a banner bearing the slogan, “Queer Christian Collective”. ‘Rev’ Bingo Allison is wearing a t-shirt saying “Christians at Pride” with a clerical collar fixed to it. Also on this ungodly panel is Isabel Hill, who is the founder of ‘Proud Catholics’, which is apparently a “local support group for LGBT+ fellowship and spiritual growth within the Catholic Church”, showing it is not just apostate Protestant churches being blighted by such Bible rejection.

The other two speakers are Karen Pollock, “a counsellor, queer Christian and Diversity and Inclusion Manager for Bi Pride UK” and Dr Rae Caro (pictured, below), a curate at St Martin’s and St Anthony’s in Byker, which appears to be in the Newcastle area. She is “bisexual and has been involved in LGBTI+ activism since 2007”.

As well as it being outrageous that such an event could be taking place in a church setting involving such people who claim to be Christians, it is also profoundly sad that any section of the professing church has sunk so low.

The panel discussion event, which takes place this Sunday, has its main aim of the church moving “from tolerance to inclusion”.

While it sounds like what they term “queering the church” seems to be progressing at pace, it doesn’t seem to be fast enough for these individuals.

The verse from Habakkuk we quoted at the top of this article refers to the insatiable desire of Nebuchadnezzar to conquer more and more nations in his unquenchable thirst for more power and earthly glory.

It is said “he neither keepeth at home”, he “enlargeth his desire as hell” and “cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all people”.

Is not this same all-conquering desire to bring all into submission of the rigid dogma of the LGBT movement at work here?

Nothing is ever enough for the sodomite agenda to be satisfied.

Civil partnerships for those living in relationships God calls an “abomination” were created in all parts of the UK, including Northern Ireland, in 2005.

Was that enough? Of course not.

In 2013 the decision was made to cave into this ungodly agenda and introduce sodomite ‘marriage’ in England, Scotland and Wales.

Since that day, attention has turned to having the same grievous sin imposed on Northern Ireland, with constant ferocious attacks on any in this land who dare speak out against it.

When the Republic of Ireland voted to legislate for sodomite ‘marriage’, the banners were on display in Dublin saying Northern Ireland was next.

Nothing is ever enough until full submission to the sodomite agenda is achieved.

They are clearly seeking to gather unto them all nations.

And they are seeking to heap unto them all people.

Nobody dare speak out publicly against sodomy for fear of losing employment, for fear of losing any prospect of progression in their chosen occupation, for fear of being hounded publicly and privately for daring to differ or dissent from the true religion of modern Britain, the worship of the LGBT agenda.

The same is at large within many churches.

At one time it would have been unthinkable for an open sodomite to be allowed to be a member of a church, these days they are leading them.

The American Episcopal Church, a sister church of the Church of England, has just appointed another open sodomite as a bishop.

Even within our churches in Ulster, there is a very obvious trend towards sodomite affirmation.

You have groups like the utterly Christ-rejecting Harbour Faith Community in Carrickfergus, priding itself on being “LGBT affirming”.

You have so-called ministers such as ‘Rev’ Lesley Carroll, who was the special guest speaker at the 25th anniversary event of a transgender grouping called the ‘Belfast Butterfly Club’.

She “congratulated the club on its 25 years of transgender support charity work across Northern Ireland”, according to the ‘Belfast Butterfly Club’ website. She is pictured on the right of the image below with a leading member of that transgender group.

Then there is Carnmoney Presbyterian Church minister Rev John Dickinson, who endorsed so-called “gay Christian” and self-professed LGBT campaigner Vicky Beeching, and who also outrageously claimed the Presbyterian Church should apologise for barring full membership to sodomites.

We have also just seen the Methodist Church in Britain vote by 5 to 1 in favour of holding sodomite ‘marriages’ within the church. That church has several sodomite ministers.

The Quakers throughout Britain and Ireland have voted to hold sodomite ‘marriages’ in their meeting houses.

We could continue but trust it is clear to see that the professing church in many places has utterly caved into sodomy.

This instance in Newcastle is particularly blatant and outrageous.

In addition to the “queering the church” discussion panel, there is also a communion service with an LGBT emphasis, an LGBT history telling event and those at the festival will join in with the sodomite ‘Pride’ march through the city.

These details were revealed by the Christian Institute website, whose Director, Colin Hart, makes a very good point.

He said: “The message of the Gospel is that we have all sinned and come short of the glory of God. Instead of repenting of sin, this festival celebrates it.”

Such rejoicing in iniquity is spoken of in the opening chapter of Romans.

One of the most definitive passages in Scripture rejecting homosexuality and condemning it as sinful, Romans 1:22-32 says: “Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.”

That last line speaks of those who “have pleasure” in those who commit such grave sins, they promote and celebrate the sins of others.

And that is a major part of the LGBT movement and those who are helping to drive this celebration of sin.

Even as this wicked sin continues to be exalted by those who hate Christ, let us not be afraid to take our stand for Him and to speak out against the promotion of that which His Word condemns.

Let us be as noisy in our response to this wickedness as the sodomites and their promoters are in support of it.

Let us not be found silent or found wanting in this day and generation in which we have been called to live.

Surely the progress of such evil causes grieves our hearts, surely it merits our wholehearted opposition, not just our quiet sighs and complaints in company where we know it is safe to do so.

Even so, let us be even as Isaiah was in his willingness to serve the Lord and say, “Here am I” and be ready to cry aloud against that which is offensive and grievous to our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Let us not bear the condemnation of the spiritual leaders in the day of Ezekiel.

Ezekiel 13:5: “Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the Lord.”

There is a battle going on right now, the armies of the LGBT movement are seemingly sweeping all before them.

Will you take your stand for Christ, cling fast to His Word and refuse to allow the LGBT movement to conquer and pray for a mighty revival in our land?

2 Chronicles 7:14: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

Arch-apostate of Canterbury promotes Christ rejecting Mariolatry

The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, has been the special guest at a parade for Mary, the earthly mother of Jesus.

Justin Welby led the national pilgrimage to the “Anglican Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham”, a village in Norfolk, which features an idolatrous statue of Mary at the front of the procession.

It is truly bizarre that there should be an Anglican shrine to Mary, given that Mariolatry is a Romanist deceit and runs utterly contrary to the Protestant faith, which Justin Welby is supposed to uphold.

The Popish celebration took place on the second Bank Holiday Monday of May, according to a report on the Premier Christianity website, and on the Sunday night preceding, “there was a prayer vigil throughout the night so that people could be in the Shrine Church to pray, reflect and meditate”.

It is certainly a good question to ask, to whom were these individuals praying and who were they meditating upon?

A Marian Shrine is a ghastly thing which would appal Mary, and it would make little sense for an individual to go to a Marian Shrine to worship God.

After all, what would be the point of the Marian Shrine existing in the first place?

This Papal betrayal of God has its roots in a tale said to have occurred almost 1,000 years ago.

It states on Wikipedia: “In 1061, according to the Walsingham legend, a Saxon noblewoman, Richeldis de Faverches, had a vision of the Virgin Mary in which she was instructed to build a replica of the house of the Holy Family in Nazareth in honour of the Annunciation. Her family name does not appear in the Domesday Book.”

It is interesting neither this lady nor her family name appears in the Domesday Book, a large scale census undertaken in 1086.

The same entry on Wikipedia confirms that the shrine was under the control of the Papist Augustinian monks and the priory was a site of Romanist pilgrimage until 1538, when it was destroyed by Henry VIII following his falling out with the Roman Catholic Church.

This dreadful heresy was largely forgotten until 1897, when Pope Leo XIII “blessed a new statue for the restored ancient sanctuary of Our Lady of Walsingham” and Mariolatry went back on the ascent.

A Church of England vicar, Alfred Hope (more like No Hope) Patten led an initiative in 1921 to install an Anglican Shrine in Walsingham, and this Popish practice continues to this very day.

This shrine is a result of Church of England apostasy and the Archbishop of Canterbury ought to be rejecting, repudiating and dismantling this vile offence to God, rather than indulging, supporting and celebrating it.

However, the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, has rightly earned the name of Arch-apostate of Canterbury for his wicked betrayal of the Word of God.

Arch-apostate of Canterbury Justin Welby never misses an opportunity to cosy up with the Pope, only just a few weeks ago sitting alongside “that man of sin, and son of perdition”, grinning like an eejit as the Pope endorsed his ecumenical, God-defying ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ prayer event, which reached its compromising climax tonight (Saturday).

Arch-apostate of Canterbury Justin Welby stated that he thought it was “wonderful” when ministers of his own church switch to the darkness of Romanism, calling Rome an “inspiration”.

Arch-apostate of Canterbury Justin Welby, on a visit to Belfast last year, accepted a statue of what Rome calls “Our Lady of Perpetual Help”, just one of the blasphemous titles Rome applies to Mary.

This demonstrates the total and utter abandonment of God’s Word which is at large within the Church of England, that a man with such credentials can not only rise to the top of that body, but be allowed to continue in that role.

And now he is leading a parade preaching and promoting devotion to Mary, one of the most abominable of the deceits of the pagan Roman Catholic Church.

Let us not forget that Mary was a sinner in need of salvation, just like any of us.

Luke 1:46-47 says: “And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.”

Rome claims Mary was without sin and indeed was immaculately conceived herself, yet if Mary was sinless, why did she need a Saviour? And the notion of the immaculate conception of Mary has absolutely no Biblical grounding.

Rome teaches of praying to Mary (as well as long dead, so-called saints), despite this being utterly contrary to what the Bible teaches.

1 Timothy 2:5 says: “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus”.

We also find in the book of Hebrews how Jesus is our mediator and we come to God through Him.

Hebrews 12:22-24 says: “But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.”

Jesus is the mediator of the new covenant, ie this gospel age. Jesus is our way of salvation, yet Rome’s lies put Mary in the role of Jesus.

This is what Alphonsus Liguori, a ‘saint’ of the Roman Catholic Church, founder of the Redemptorist Romanist order and author of one of the major books propagating Mariolatry – The Glories of Mary, says: “In His eagerness to show you mercy, God has given His Son as your Advocate. And then to make your confidence even stronger, He has given you another Advocate, who obtains through her prayers whatever she asks. Go to Mary, and you will see salvation.”

Where has this notion of Mary being an advocate for us came from? It is most certainly not in the Bible.

This is the unscriptural nature of Mariolatry and that’s the type of blasphemy with which Justin Welby is finding common cause by parading a statue of Mary to a shrine to Mary.

Justin Welby is supposed to be defending Biblical truth, not endorsing Romanist paganism, deceit and idolatry.

What a fearful thing it is to apostatise and to turn away from God’s Word.

We can even see a fearful example within the prophecy of Ezekiel.

Ezekiel 20:27-29, 31-32 says: “Therefore, son of man, speak unto the house of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Yet in this your fathers have blasphemed me, in that they have committed a trespass against me. For when I had brought them into the land, for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to them, then they saw every high hill, and all the thick trees, and they offered there their sacrifices, and there they presented the provocation of their offering: there also they made their sweet savour, and poured out there their drink offerings. Wherefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God; Are ye polluted after the manner of your fathers? and commit ye whoredom after their abominations? For when ye offer your gifts, when ye make your sons to pass through the fire, ye pollute yourselves with all your idols, even unto this day: and shall I be enquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live, saith the Lord God, I will not be enquired of by you. And that which cometh into your mind shall not be at all, that ye say, We will be as the heathen, as the families of the countries, to serve wood and stone.”

Arch-apostate of Canterbury Justin Welby is offering up polluted worship, how can one say that Popish exercise is anything other than polluted worship?

God says He will not be enquired of by those who do such.

That is a sad and frightening position to be in.

Anyone reading this who is not saved, no matter how religious you may be or how much you strive to be a good person, is offering up polluted worship to God.

Without having the blood of Jesus Christ to plead for you (Mary cannot do it) when you die or when Christ returns, whichever comes first, then you will spend all eternity in hell.

All your righteousnesses will be as filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6).

But if you are saved, you will have placed upon you the white robes of Christ’s righteousness and spend eternity with Him in heaven.

And you can be cleansed of your sins even now as you read this by simply placing your faith and trust in Him, just as the Philippian jailer did.

Acts 16:29-31: “Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved”.

Place your faith and trust in Christ, not in Mary, not in a church, not in religiosity, not in some charismatic preacher, but place your faith in Christ and start for heaven today.

‘Who cares if you’re Protestant or Catholic? Rome is an inspiration’, says Arch-apostate of Canterbury

Jeremiah 2:8, 11-13: “The priests said not, Where is the Lord? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit. Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit. Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith the Lord. For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.”

Such is the rotten nature of so much of the professing church today, it is difficult to be truly surprised by what religious leaders say.

It can certainly be shocking, but rarely is it surprising.

However, the Archbishop (though Arch-apostate would be more accurate) of Canterbury, Justin Welby, has managed to do just that after he said how wonderful it is if Church of England clerics switch to be servants of Rome.

It may perhaps not be especially surprising that this is his view, given his disgraceful ecumenical track record, but what is surprising is how he has chosen to publicly articulate that view.

In a shocking rejection of the precious gospel heritage the entire UK is blessed to have, when asked his opinion on Church of England vicars switching to Rome, the following is what this reprobate had to say:

“Who cares? I don’t mind about all that. Particularly if people go to Rome, which is such a source of inspiration.

“I had an email from a very old friend, an Anglican priest who has decided to go to Rome. I wrote back saying: ‘how wonderful! As long as you are following your vocation, you are following Christ’.

“It’s just wonderful. What we need is for people to be disciples of Jesus Christ. I don’t really care whether it’s the Church of England or Rome or the Orthodox or Pentecostals or the Lutherans or Baptists.

“They are faithful disciples of Christ.”

Arch-apostate of Canterbury Justin Welby, let us say this now – you are a disgrace.

Rome, to this very day, outright rejects and places its curse (not that we care one iota about Rome’s curse, we’d be more concerned by its blessing) on any who teach or believe the precious Scriptural doctrine of salvation by faith alone in Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-9).

They cannot be “faithful disciples of Christ” when they deny his all-sufficient sacrifice on the cross at Calvary. They are Christ rejecters and so is Arch-apostate Welby by saying what he has said.

It is strange that any church leader should applaud his ministers for leaving.

It is stranger still that he should say it is “particularly” wonderful if they go to Rome.

Why should that be so?

Romanism is totally at odds with true Christianity, it is a pagan corruption.

Rome teaches of prayers for the dead and to so-called ‘Saints’, it teaches of the exaltation of the Pope, it teaches of the fictitious holding cell between heaven and hell they call purgatory, it teaches of the blasphemous worship of Mary, it teaches of the idolatrous adoration of relics and statues, and as we have already said, it teaches of a works-based salvation.

These are all utterly repugnant to any true Christian.

If Arch-apostate of Canterbury Justin Welby doesn’t find these repugnant, there is a clear conclusion to be drawn.

Let us remind Arch-apostate Welby of the 39 Articles which are supposedly the governing principles of his church and which he, as the most senior figure worldwide of the church, is supposed to be foremost in upholding.

Article 11, on the justification of man, says “we are accounted righteous before God, only for the merit of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ by Faith, and not for our own works or deservings.”

Rome outright denies this, so how can Arch-apostate Welby support such heresy or those who switch to a church teaching such heresy?

Article 19, speaking of the church, has this to say regarding Rome. It says: “As the Church of Jerusalem, Alexandria, and Antioch, have erred, so also the Church of Rome hath erred, not only in their living and manner of Ceremonies, but also in matters of Faith.”

Arch-apostate Welby clearly doesn’t believe Rome has erred, otherwise he would mourn the loss of ministers to Rome. Instead, he calls Rome an “inspiration”.

Article 22, speaking of purgatory, says the following: “The Romish Doctrine concerning Purgatory, Pardons, Worshipping and Adoration, as well of Images as of Relics, and also Invocation of Saints, is a fond thing, vainly invented, and grounded upon no warranty of Scripture, but rather repugnant to the Word of God.”

Prayer to saints, the adoration of relics and images and purgatory are all, by Arch-apostate Welby’s churches governing principles, “vainly invented” and “repugnant to the Word of God”.

How can Justin Welby remain in his position? How can it be deemed proper that such a character remain in situ?

He truly is like the prophets in the Scripture passage at the head of this article, he has “walked after things that do not profit”.

Arch-apostate of Canterbury Justin Welby is a broken cistern which can hold no water.

He is the encapsulation of the Saviour’s warning regarding the false teachers of his day.

Matthew 15:14 says: “Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.”

Christ told His followers to stay well clear of the false teachers as they will lead those who follow them into the ditch.

And that is where Arch-apostate of Canterbury Justin Welby is heading headlong for.

You may say you are not in the Church of England and you do not support this man, but are you in the Church of Ireland? If so, your church is implicated by being part of the Anglican communion.

Even if not, does your church or church leader consider Justin Welby an admirable man to follow?

How can you know, you might ask?

Well, does your church take part in the ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ prayer initiative started by Justin Welby just a few years ago? It is an overtly ecumenical event for which the Roman Catholic Church is fully on board, so much so they have devised ‘Novenas’ to accompany the festival.

One such church heavily implicated in ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ is the Emmanuel Church in the Craigavon area.

Their lead pastor, Alain Emerson, organised the largest ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ gathering in Northern Ireland, which was held at the hub of ecumenical deceit of May Street Presbyterian Church in Belfast, which you can read about by clicking here.

We need to be separated from those who work iniquity in our land and from those who have rejected the truth of the Bible to cosy up with the likes of the Church of Rome, which knows only how to send its poor deluded adherents to hell.

Revelation 18:4-5: “And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.”

Joint Anglican and Roman Catholic document seeking full unity under the Pope

The nefarious desire of the ‘Protestant’ heretics within Anglicanism to move into full communion with the deceitful Romanist system has been outlined in the latest agreed statement between the Anglican movement and the Roman Catholic Church.

It is the first statement issued by the third Anglican-Roman Catholic International Commission (ARCIC), a body whose aim is to achieve full unity with Rome, including sharing in the Eucharist (or Mass) and having the Pope as the head.

It is jointly commissioned by both the Vatican and Canterbury.

We should not be at all surprised that the Vatican should agree to this, as it costs them nothing to reach the final destination the two churches have agreed on.

However, it is hard to fathom why the senior figures in the Anglican movement, led by the Arch-apostate of Canterbury, Justin Welby (pictured, top), should want to hand over power over Anglicanism to the Pope (pictured, below).

Let us not forget that their own church still subscribes in name to the 39 Articles.

These include the very proper statement that the Mass is a “blasphemous fable” and a “dangerous deceit”, yet this Anglican commission is looking to share in the Mass with the Papacy.

Such traitors ought to be thrown out by the scruff of their neck from the Church of England, Church of Ireland, Episcopal Church of the USA and all other branches of the worldwide Anglican Communion.

Instead, these are the figures in the top positions and perpetuating such a despicable state of affairs by appointing their own like to the highest positions as they become vacant.

We have read this ‘agreed statement’, as they have entitled it, and will reproduce just some of the content now (it extends to 77 pages of drivel, deceit and departure from any accepted standard of loyalty to God’s Word) for readers to digest.

It is truly a sickening document.

It says: “We do not yet, however, share partnership in the eucharist. What we as yet lack drives us on in search for deeper reconciliation and fuller unity at [all] levels of the Church. While we do not yet fully share in the eucharist, we are already in a real yet imperfect communion which impels us towards deeper and fuller reconciliation at [all] levels of the Church.

“We are pilgrims together walking on the way of penitence and renewal towards full communion.”

They then misapply Ephesians 4:1-3, which says: “I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”

Blasphemously applying this to seeking communion with evil, which the Roman Catholic system undoubtedly is, they conclude this God-defying document by saying: “These characteristics capture the necessary spirit of our ecumenical journey, and offer us a vision of how we are to continue walking together on the way towards full communion.”

Dear member of the Church of Ireland or any other part of the worldwide Anglican Communion, are you “walking together” with the Pope “on the way towards full communion”? Your church leaders say you are.

Are you a “fellow pilgrim” with the Romanists? Are you walking with them on the “way of penitence”? Let’s not forget that penitence in the Church of Rome includes all sorts of works based sacrifices, from mortifying your body to saying Hail Mary’s. Your church leaders say you are sharing that path of penitence.

Are you sharing in a “real communion” with the Papacy, the church which still to this very day teaches, in their communion service, known as the Mass, that they are sacrificing Christ again and again and again, and this despite the Bible clearly teaching His sacrifice at Calvary was once and for all? Your church leaders say you are.

Remember what Hebrews 10:10-12 says: “By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God”.

Do you, as a member of the Church of Ireland, Church of England or any other part of the Anglican Communion, believe you are travelling towards full communion with Rome, under the authority of the Pope? Your church leaders believe you are.

Do you want to travel towards full communion with Rome, under the authority of the Pope? If not, then surely you must speak out against this despicable betrayal of Biblical Protestantism, which is true Christianity.

If you are still unconvinced of the intentions of the leadership of the two churches, we will quote further from this document by ARCIC III, as it is known.

They say, in their introduction: “The goal of the Anglican – Roman Catholic dialogue, established in 1966, during the visit of Archbishop Michael Ramsey to Pope Paul VI, has been successively reiterated by subsequent Popes and Archbishops of Canterbury in the series of Common Declarations issued at important meetings together.

“This goal has been succinctly expressed as ‘the restoration of complete communion in faith and sacramental life and visible unity and full ecclesial communion’.”

That is the goal of all ecumenical conduct throughout the Church of Ireland, Church of England or elsewhere in the Anglican Communion with the Church of Rome.

Any time there is an ecumenical service with the local priest popping in to say a prayer; any time your minister drops into the local chapel for one of their services; any time a Week of Prayer for Christian Unity event is held; any time a Women’s World Day of Prayer event is held in your church, or your friend’s church, or your neighbour’s church, THAT is the goal.

We will repeat their goal and give it the same prominence as it is given in the ARCIC document by reproducing it in the same style as they have done. It is on page 10 of the document, if you want to see it for yourself.

Their goal, by this ecumenical dialogue, is:

“the restoration of complete communion in faith and sacramental life
and
visible unity and full ecclesial communion”

Here is another quote from the document.

“Popes and Archbishops of Canterbury have successively recommitted Anglicans and Catholics to the goal of unity, with increasing clarity and frankness”.

There you go, dear member or attendee of the Church of Ireland, Church of England or elsewhere in the Anglican Communion. The leadership has continually, for 50 years, been “recommitting” you, as an Anglican, to “the goal of unity” and they are getting more brazen about it.

This whole document is brazen, it is an overtly God rejecting statement from start to finish, and it has been done in your name, if you attend any church within Anglicanism.

The Reformation remains an event despised by Rome, for it seized many millions from its control and undermined its deceitful, utterly unscriptural gospel of works, thus depriving it of an incredible amount of money it had been successfully extorting from the public as they purported that financial generosity to the church would help ease their passage into heaven.

And so it is telling that, in an act of arrogance and as a slap in the face to all Reformed Protestants who hold the Word of God and its precious gospel of salvation by faith alone so dear, they concluded the work on their agreed statement in Erfurt in Germany.

Erfurt, of course, was where Martin Luther studied and was ordained as an Augustinian friar in the Church of Rome.

For supposed Protestants to negotiate what is in reality a surrender to the Church of Rome in a city synonymous with the story of the man seen to have kickstarted the glorious Protestant Reformation compounds their betrayal of the goodly heritage that so many men and women fought and died for over the past 500 years.

Also highlighting their betrayal is the pre-eminence given to the Pope, “that man of sin, and son of perdition”, within this agreed statement.

Referring to the “Bishop of Rome”, they say: “In this, as in previous ARCIC Agreed Statements, the Pope, variously referred to as the Supreme Pontiff, the Servant of the Servants of God, the Holy Father, and other historic titles, is normally styled Bishop of Rome.

“It is because the particular church of Rome is where both Saints Peter and Paul laboured and were martyred, that the See of Rome and its Bishop, enjoy a pre-eminent authority and honour in the universal Church.”

Of course, Peter never went to Rome and indeed wrote at least one of his epistles from Babylon, many thousands of miles from Rome.

And any acceptance of any type of authority of the Pope of Rome is utterly repugnant to any true believer due to the blasphemous titles he takes upon himself.

One of the names ascribed to him in their own documents is that of “Supreme Pontiff”, with ‘pontiff’ meaning ‘bridge’.

He is saying he is a bridge between man and God, when that role belongs solely to our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Timothy 2:5 says: “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus”.

Any fellowship with the corrupt system of Rome is a betrayal of the Bible and must be resolutely fought against and opposed.

Ephesians 5:11 reminds us of this. It says: “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”

If you are a member of the Church of Ireland we would encourage you to express your disgust with this dreadful document to your minister and question him as to his view on the matter.

If you are friends with anyone within the church, we would certainly advise you to share this with them so they can be fully aware of the betrayal of Christ the Arch-apostate of Canterbury, Justin Welby, is carrying out in your name (click here for an indication of his rejection of the gospel).

Please remember, dear Christian, we are to be faithful to Christ and not to any particular church.

Separation from error, and this is indeed grave error, is a fundamental tenet of Christianity.

2 Corinthians 6:17: “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you”.

Hebrews 13:13: “Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.”

Emmanuel leader Alain Emerson continues ecumenical descent by organising prayer event with Rome’s blessing

The leader of the Emmanuel Church, based in the Craigavon area, Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson, just can’t help himself when it comes to ecumenical compromise.

Not content with addressing a meeting in St Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church in Belfast as part of the ecumenical Four Corners Festival in February, at which he endorsed the ecumenical, ritualistic, anti-Christian form of worship known as Taizé, Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson then addressed another ecumenical meeting in Ballymena last month with Rome’s stamp of approval.

And now he is throwing his full weight behind organising an ecumenical prayer initiative which has been granted the seal of approval from Rome.

‘Thy Kingdom Come’ is the name of the prayer initiative, founded by Arch-apostate of Canterbury Justin Welby in 2016.

Any prayer initiative launched by such a Bible rejecter as the Arch-apostate of Canterbury cannot be founded on solid rock.

After all, he was previously featured on ‘Protestant Revival’ for endorsing prayer to Mary (1 Timothy 2:5 clearly demonstrates the blasphemy of this) and encouraging Protestants to join in prayer with the Pope, “that Antichrist, that man of sin, and son of perdition”.

We also revealed last week the cosy relationship of the Arch-apostate of Canterbury with the Pope, as well as his close friendship with the leaders of the Vineyard movement, one of whose local leaders declared he was “all in” with the Pope.

So this gives a fine example of the sort of clerical company Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson believes it is acceptable to associate with. As a side note, Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson recently spoke at the Causeway Coast Vineyard, where Alan Scott made those disgraceful comments regarding the Pope. It would also appear it was far from his first visit there.

We had previously highlighted this prayer event being so fulsomely championed by Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson as we offered him the opportunity not to engage in his further ecumenical compromise last month, an opportunity which, of course, he did not take.

Then, our chief concern with the event was the venue it was to be held at this Saturday, 19 May in Belfast, May Street Presbyterian Church, a church synonymous with mean compromise with Rome.

However, at the time, we were unaware of how strong the Romanist connections to this prayer initiative were.

In a Church of England article about the launch of the initiative, which is also championed by Archbishop of York John Sentamu, it says: “The campaign’s broad ecumenical appeal led to more than 50 denominations and traditions being involved last year; including the Roman Catholic Church.”

The Church of England is clearly entirely satisfied with Rome’s involvement and, indeed, proud of it, given that of the “more than 50 denominations and traditions” involved last year, it was the very first one they mentioned.

Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson is currently Director of a group called 24-7 Prayer Ireland, which is organising this prayer event, meaning he is one of the leading figures in this ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ prayer initiative.

At the Church of Ireland’s Synod last week, the Irish launch of the ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ prayer initiative was held jointly by the so-called Protestant Archbishop of Armagh, the Most Ecumenical Richard Clarke, whose disgraceful Rome loving behaviour we have previously covered, and the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Armagh, Eamon Martin.

The pair speak at length in an article on the Church of Ireland Diocese of Derry and Raphoe website, with ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ at least twice being referred to as an “ecumenical” initiative.

As if this was not enough evidence to damn this event already, a quick look at the ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ website itself will finish the job.

On its website, there are resources for Roman Catholics to pray a Novena during the celebrations.

Novenas are something we previously dealt with when addressing the apostasy of Antrim Church of Ireland cleric, Rev Stephen McBride.

Novenas are “often used to ask specific saints to pray for us”, says the ‘Pray More Novenas’ website, meaning they involve the invocation of saints, forbidden in 1 Timothy 2:5.

We also recounted at that time how “by the 11th century, the Novena practice had become a means in Christianity of praying to petition personal or spiritual favour to a saint, such as Virgin Mary. After the Reformation and Counter-Reformation era, the Catholic Church formally approved Novenas, in particular through the papal approvals of a large number of Novenas by Pope Pius IX.

“The practice of the Novena is based in early Christianity, where masses were held for nine days with devotional prayers to someone who has died.”

This means the Novena has its roots in prayer for the dead, which is an utter affront to the gospel.

Despite this, the ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ initiative is encouraging Novenas to be prayed under its banner.

And the Roman Catholic Church of England and Wales has said on its website: ‘We’re supporting this initiative with our Pentecost Novena”.

What a shameful event this is, and what a shameful event Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson (pictured below, speaking in St Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church back in February) is not only supporting but indeed organising.

We will remind Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson and his ilk of what the Bible has to say.

Ephesians 5:11: “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”

Jude v 3: “…ye should earnestly contend for the faith…”

2 Corinthians 6:14-17: “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.”

There can be no light fellowshipping with darkness, therefore when Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson and his acolytes gather together they may think they are spreading light but instead they are enveloping themselves in darkness.

Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson is doing this proudly and unashamedly. In a video he has posted on the 24-7 Prayer Ireland twitter page he is encouraging everyone to go along, making a virtue of the Arch-apostate of Canterbury supporting the initiative and claiming an event which is an affront to God is going to be “beautiful”.

He also points out it is not the first time he has led such an anti Biblical meeting, and last year he held it in St Anne’s Cathedral in Belfast, probably second only to Corrymeela as the home of ecumenical deceit in Ulster.

Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson says: “Last year we had an event in St Anne’s Cathedral at the same time of year and it was such a beautiful joy.

“Please come and join us. It’s part of a wider global initiative where people all over the world are going to be praying that night. It’s championed by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby himself.

“We’d love to play our part here, it’s going to be beautiful.”

Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson would do well to consider what Jesus said in Matthew 12:37: “…by thy words thou shalt be condemned.”

These prayers offered up will not be heard by God, they will go no further than the ceiling. God has already judged and condemned their actions.

Isaiah 1:11-17: “To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the Lord : I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats. When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts? Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting. Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them. And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood. Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.”

However, if Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson and his followers repudiate such God-defying conduct as this ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ initiative and put away the evil of their doings, God is ready to show mercy to them.

Verse 18 of that chapter says: “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”

God has called on us to separate from the works of darkness. It is our prayer that anyone reading who has not yet separated themselves will do so and anyone who is not yet saved will call on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation today.

Senior Anglican figures seek to open floodgates of sin on their church

Two dangerous apostates in high ecclesiastic office are among the figures calling for the Church of England to lose its legal protection against being forced to employ all manner of utterly unsuitable characters within the church.

The Bishop of Liverpool, Right Reverend (more like Wrong Reverend!) Paul Bayes and the Dean of St Paul’s Cathedral, the Very Reverend (more like Very Apostate) David Ison want the Church of England to be forced to employ people regardless of whether they claim to hold a Christian belief and regardless of their sexuality, marital history or “gender identity”.

Mind you, this pair are utterly unsuitable characters themselves as both men are noted apostates and their views on homosexuality are repugnant to the Word of God.

The comments of Wrong Reverend Paul Bayes (pictured, below) in support of his depraved stance are so at odds with God’s Word it is frightening.

He said: “If we mean what we say about opposing homophobia, if we believe what we say about wanting to include everyone, if we believe that God made every one [the way] they are, then what does that imply for our public policies?

“We will advocate for a greater openness and the implication of that is we may have to re-examine the prohibitions that are there in law at the moment.

“I do think we should continue to advocate for greater freedom and in the end who knows what that will mean? It may mean that one day it will be possible for people in a same-sex relationship to have that relationship affirmed in a way that is now illegal and in that case we would have to change the law.”

Very Apostate David Ison (pictured, below) added to the despicable abandonment of Biblical principles. He said: “We have got to come to terms with the reality of the world we’re in and we’re not doing that. That is why we’re becoming disconnected from society.

“My view is that if there is a price to be paid for what you believe in conscience then you should pay that; you should not make other people pay the price for your conscience. That applies to abortion, to issues of sexuality and gender and right across the piste. If it is legal, decent and honest but you don’t believe it is right, then you have to deal with it.”

Where do you start with those comments? Only men who have no knowledge of Christ could speak in such a way.

The first thing we will emphasise, very simply, is what the Bible has to say about the sins they are endorsing, chiefly homosexuality and the madness of the self-deception many people claim to have regarding their gender.

With regards homosexuality, the Bible clearly states it is completely contrary to the laws of decency and the natural order ordained by God.

Leviticus 18:22: “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.”

Romans 1:22-27: “Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.”

That is absolutely crystal clear, one would have thought. However, not so for Wrong Reverend Paul Bayes and Very Apostate David Ison, as well as plenty more members of the clergy who would claim to be Christians.

This madness surrounding gender which is engulfing our land is clearly a perversion of God’s Word.

Genesis 5:2: “Male and female created he them…”

There is no in between zone, no gender transition or any of these other trendy terms circulating now. This notion is anti-Christian.

Deuteronomy 22:5: “The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God.”

When Wrong Reverend Paul Bayes refers to the Church of England wanting to “include everyone” and God making everyone as they are, he is on an evil path of apostasy.

The offer of the gospel is open to everyone. We are told in 2 Peter 3:9: “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

We are also told in John 3:16 that “whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

However, this does not mean that churches should include everyone, regardless of the type of lifestyle they live. When you become a Christian you turn away from previous sins.

2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

Even those who have been guilty of the foulest of sins can obtain forgiveness.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11: “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.”

God doesn’t do business on our terms, we must accept that God is perfect, sinless and hates sin and we must repent of our sin if we are to obtain forgiveness. If we come to Christ as we are, he will forgive us, but if we claim to be a Christian yet remain as we are then that means no true work of salvation has been wrought in our lives. Convincing people to the contrary is the sort of sordid deceit people like Wrong Reverend Paul Bayes and Very Apostate David Ison are propagating.

As for Very Apostate David Ison’s comments, he says that you have to come to terms with the world. However, we are told in Romans 12:2: “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

He then says “you should not make other people pay the price for your conscience”. Yet another anti-Biblical comment!

We are called upon to “earnestly contend for the faith” (Jude v 3) and to “have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them” (Ephesians 5:11).

David Ison has no faith to contend for and he is carrying out the unfruitful works of darkness by endorsing such a diabolical betrayal of his Protestant heritage.

He concludes by saying: “If it is legal, decent and honest but you don’t believe it is right, then you have to deal with it.”

Homosexuality may be legal in the law of the land, but, as we have already stressed, it is a most sinister contravention of God’s law, and it is the furthest thing from decent or honest.

Very Apostate David Ison is on the broad road which leads to destruction.

Further emphasising the despicable perversion of the office of Bishop he is perpetrating, Wrong Reverend Paul Bayes is actually a patron of ‘Gay Pride’ in Liverpool.

This man holds the role of Bishop of Liverpool once held by JC Ryle, one of the godliest men England has ever seen, and it is indicative of how far spiritually the UK has descended that such a character as Wrong Reverend Paul Bayes occupies that position today.

Speaking after the announcement of his patronage of that festival of filth, he said: “I am privileged to identify with our Pride’s contribution to tackling prejudice and promoting awareness of the richness of our LGBTI+ community.

“I myself have been advocating in the church for LGBTI+ inclusion. At the recent meeting of the General Synod the Church of England made some clear and positive statements exploring services of welcome for trans people who want their true identity recognised before God.”

God does indeed recognise their true identity – as sinners who need to come to Him for forgiveness. God makes no mistakes, He didn’t accidentally create someone who is really a man as a woman or vice versa and to suggest anything else is a grievous slur on our God.

In order to counter them, we have had to repeat the vain babblings and blasphemies of unsaved clerics such as Wrong Reverend Paul Bayes and Very Apostate David Ison, who have created a false god to fit around their sinful notions, but we will finish with a quote from a true man of God, the aforementioned JC Ryle, and this also has a clear application for those ecumenical traitors sprinkled throughout churches up and down our United Kingdom.

“Beware of manufacturing a God of your own: a God who is all mercy, but not just; a God who is all love, but not Holy, a God who has a heaven for everybody, but a hell for none; a God who can allow good and bad to be side by side in time, but will make no distinction between good and broad in eternity. Such a God is an idol of your own, as truly an idol as any snake or crocodile in an Egyptian temple. The hands of your own fancy and sentimentality have made him. He is not the God of the Bible, and beside the God of the Bible there is no God at all.”
