Blasphemous bishop teaches salvation by baptism in Londonderry Church of Ireland

Romans 3:24-25: “Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God”.

Children being Confirmed in the Church of Ireland in Londonderry and Donegal have been blasphemously told they have received “a new life in God” after being baptised.

The children were told they would be transformed by the experience of baptism and would “never be the same”.

These dangerous blasphemies came from the mouth of the American Bishop of Central Florida, the Right Reverend Greg Brewer (pictured, top).

He was speaking at Confirmation services in Conwal Parish Church in Letterkenny, County Donegal and Glendermott Parish Church in Londonderry.

Right Reverend Greg Brewer was a guest of the Bishop of Derry and Raphoe, Rev Ken (No) Good (pictured, below), so you could be sure the poor children were going to get a bum steer in any event.

After all, Bishop Ken (No) Good is a devoted ecumenist, spending much of his career openly courting and liaising with the deceits and deceivers of Rome.

Bishop Ken (No) Good places great emphasis on his cosy relationship with the Romanist Bishop of Derry, Donal McKeown, and you can read of their mutual appreciation by clicking here.

You can also click here to read of his outrageous leading of not one, but two God-defying Week of Prayer for Christian Unity services in Romanist chapels back in January.

And there he was on Sunday, 8 April recommending that young children believe the heresies espoused by Right Reverend Greg Brewer that they are transformed by baptism.

The Scripture quotation at the top of this article very clearly articulates the truth of the gospel that we are justified, or made right in the sight of God, through His grace and by faith in the blood shed by Christ at Calvary.

We are further reminded in Ephesians that our salvation comes by no means other than by faith in Christ. There is no merit in any of our works.

Ephesians 2:8-9: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Baptism is a worthwhile symbol of a devotion of our life to God, publicly stating we have renounced our sin and the temporary pleasures of the world to live a life separated unto Him, but baptism is worthless without a true devotion to God.

John the Baptist even bears the name of the process in the title popularly given to him, but what was the message he preached?

We are told this in Mark 1:4, which says: “John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.”

John preached that we had to repent of our sins, that was the baptism he preached. He didn’t preach of special merit in the water, that is a Papist deceit and one which the Church of Ireland itself has done much to propagate.

This is the official teaching of the Roman Catholic Church on baptism, as stated in its Catechism.

“Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God.”

This is a wretched lie, but this is the same lie that this Episcopalian compromiser was telling the poor young children in Letterkenny and Londonderry.

So many people today believe that being confirmed and baptised in the church will help get you into heaven, this is a sad deceit and one which Bishop Ken (No) Good is, at best, helping propagate and one which this American Bishop, Greg Brewer, is actively promoting.

Does Bishop Ken (No) Good believe in baptismal regeneration? If he doesn’t, then he is a coward for failing to speak out against it, for there is certainly no record of him doing so in the report on the Diocese of Derry and Raphoe’s website.

Indeed, the report speaks in glowing terms of both pontificating pastors, saying the young children being Confirmed were “doubly blessed” by the presence of both men.

That is certainly a “blessing” we could all do without!

These are the quotes attributed to Right Reverend Greg Brewer, who is apparently currently on sabbatical in the UK.

He said: “We believe deeply, with all our hearts, when we do these very simple things like pouring water on the head of a child or laying hands on these people that God is doing something bigger – far better – than anything you could ever conceive or imagine.

“One thing I do know: you’ll never be the same, but – given the possibilities – why would you even want to be, when what is in front of you is freedom, joy and a new life in God?”

A new life in God comes through repentance of sins and placing our faith and trust in Him.

Have these 30 young people done that? It would certainly not be a surprise if they hadn’t, given they are being taught here there is no need for them to do so.

What a dreadful harvest has already been reaped and will continue to be reaped by the apostasy of so much of mainstream Protestantism.

And what a fearful thing it is to think of all the people who were told as children that baptism and confirmation would be enough for them who are now in hell or are on their way there.

There is coming a day when many, taught lies, will hear the words of judgment from God contained in Matthew 7:21-23 when Jesus said: “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

Dear reader, don’t let you, your children or even your grandchildren fall victim to the lies and deceits of clerical compromisers and religious reprobates, don’t let them send you, your child or your grandchild to hell.

Just follow the simple words of Acts 16:31 and “believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved”.

And for those ministers who fail to speak of the need for every soul to come humbly in penitence to Christ, there is a fierce warning contained within God’s Word.

Ezekiel 33:6 says: “But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.”

Don’t let some old wolf in sheep’s clothing send you blindly on your way to hell, come to Christ for salvation.

We are told in John 6:37 by Jesus Himself that “him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out”.

Won’t you repent of your sin even today and be saved?

Gospel of Jesus Christ is a ‘protection racket’ – Carrickfergus Church of Ireland extension

1 John 2:22-23: “Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.”

Galatians 1:6-9: “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”

Those who deny the precious gospel of Jesus Christ are called clearly in the Bible “liars” and to be “accursed” of God.

And in Harbour Faith Community, based in Carrickfergus, County Antrim, on the east coast of Northern Ireland we are presented with one of the most brazen denials of the entire gospel message one could possibly conceive.

Harbour Faith Community is an extension work of St Colman’s Church of Ireland in Carrickfergus and they have recently posted their heresy on their Facebook page, stating their outright rejection of the precious gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

For they have disgracefully branded the precious gospel message as “not that different from a standard protection racket”.

This refers, of course, to the sadly still fairly common practice in Northern Ireland where local paramilitaries, both republicans (IRA, for example) and loyalists (UVF, UDA, for example), extort money from shopkeepers in order to keep their business safe. Failure to pay up, often, leads to these very same would-be “protectors” then attacking that shop in whichever way they see fit, be it by threats, breaking windows, arson, etc.

And here we have a Church of Ireland work equating the God of the Bible to little more than an IRA (Irish Republican Army) or UVF (Ulster Volunteer Force) henchman bully boy.

What a disgusting statement to make.

They, of course, having first mocked the precious gospel message, then teach their own gospel in which “there is no threat from God” and “we are loved and forgiven anyway”.

So they remove the reality of hell and say nobody is going to go to hell.

If we are “loved and forgiven anyway”, then what is the point of anything? Why should we restrain ourselves from any sin? Why should we feel guilt over any action we take? Why can’t we just please ourselves in any way? Why should we go to any church if we are guaranteed heaven regardless of what we do?

This is self-evidently nonsense and, more than that, blasphemous.

Here is the post by Harbour Faith Community on their Facebook page.

It says: “Many people have realised that the ‘gospel’ they so often hear is just a threat dressed up as ‘good news’.

“It’s really not that different from a standard protection racket. ‘Good news! If you just come under our authority, then we won’t have to burn your shop down!’

“The sad thing is that it works. Especially in such a brittle society as Northern Ireland – used to such rackets as we are.

“What is lost along the way, however, is the actual ‘good news’ – that there is no threat from God. And there never was. The whole point of the cross is to show that, if anything, the violence comes from us towards God – not God towards us. And that, in spite of this, we are loved and forgiven anyway. More than that, we are invited to drop our own penchant for violence and follow Christ’s example of love and forgiveness towards all – even those who would harm us.

“In this way we are invited to embrace the way of love as demonstrated by the God of love. Not because we’ll be punished if we don’t – but because, well… who wouldn’t want to live in love?”

If that doesn’t grieve your soul then nothing ever will. You can see the Facebook post for yourself in the picture below, complete with a blasphemous illustration of Jesus.

This is typical of the modern, ‘God is love’ so-called ‘Christian’, but it is rare to see it so explicitly written down as it has been here.

What of God’s justice and His judgment?

Why should Jesus have spoken more of hell than of heaven if there was no threat of anybody ever ending up there?

Just as was the case when we wrote about Presbyterian minister Rev Ernie Rea earlier this month, this statement means the Harbour Faith Community is calling our Lord and Saviour a liar.

Read the words of the Psalmist in Psalm 86:15: “But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.”

Hebrews 6:18: “That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:”

God is a God of truth, he cannot lie.

He is also a God of compassion and grace, patience and mercy, but this does not extend to Him ignoring sin or winking at sin.

Think of the famous words of Genesis 6:3: “My spirit shall not always strive with man”.

This is also demonstrated in Nahum 1:3, which says: “The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked…”

And who are classed as the wicked by God? Every one who has not been saved, who has not come to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. 1 John 5:19 tells us that “the whole world lieth in wickedness”.

So we are not “already forgiven anyway”, as the wretched deceiver who wrote that Facebook post would blasphemously claim.

We are warned not to be taken in by such characters in Colossians 2:8, which says: “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.”

These comments are definitely “not after Christ”; after all he preached the hellfire and damnation which so many ecumenists and apostates like to pretend doesn’t exist.

These are some of the words of Jesus.

Matthew 10:28: “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”

Luke 16:22-23: “And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.”

Mark 9:43, 48: “And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.”

Matthew 13:41-42: “The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”

Jesus talks rather a lot about hell, and in quite vivid detail, does he not?

All this does is serve to demonstrate how Biblically illiterate and how anti-Christian the Harbour Faith Community is.

While we cannot be absolutely certain that it was the Harbour Faith Community leader, Steve Ames (pictured, top) who wrote the post, it seems highly likely.

After all, he is the only person listed on the Facebook page as being a person connected with it.

This is not the first time his outrageous pontifications have prompted a response from this page.

Last July, we highlighted this despicable grouping for stressing how one of its core principles is that it is “LGBT affirming”, meaning it supports sodomy in the church.

This is another example of Biblical illiteracy, given that not only does the Bible never once countenance such practices as being acceptable, it outright prohibits same-sex relationships.

A host of passages are contained within Scripture to demonstrate this beyond any doubt, such as Genesis 2:24, Leviticus 18:22, Matthew 19:5, Romans 1:18-32, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, 1 Timothy 1:9-10; Jude v 7.

For any to deny this is the view of the Bible is frankly remarkable and indicative of a character which has rejected God’s Word.

And what of St Colman’s Church of Ireland in Carrickfergus?

This is a quote from Harbour Faith Community’s website, articulating the close and continuing links with that Church of Ireland congregation.

It says: “Our history involved a shared journey with St Colman’s Church of Ireland in Carrickfergus, with whom we still have an enduring relationship. The rector of St Colman’s continues to be instrumental in supporting our relationship with the wider Church family.”

The rector in that church, until very recently, was a Rev Michael McCann (pictured, below) and he ought not to be giving any support whatsoever to such a brazenly anti-Scriptural fellowship as the Harbour Faith Community.

Why is the Church of Ireland supporting this in any way, shape or form?

Why is the Diocese of Connor, under which Carrickfergus falls, allowing such blasphemy and Christ rejecting to carry on while linked to them?

Also, is there any financial support being provided to Harbour Faith Community from the Church of Ireland? If so, what do Church of Ireland members in Carrickfergus or within the Diocese of Connor or even general members think of their money being used to fund such a blatantly anti-Christian church?

While there is little mention of Rev Michael McCann online, we found a couple of articles looking at him taking a sabbatical to go to the Arctic and one such article mentioned how, before going to the Arctic, he was “spending a few days on retreat at the Benedictine Monastery in Rostrevor” in County Down.

So not only is he “instrumental in supporting” a church openly supporting sodomy and casting God as a UVF thug, but he is an ardent ecumenist, eagerly fellowshipping with Romanism.

Quite often when you see one such rejection of God’s Word, there is more to follow and this certainly appears to be the case with Rev Michael McCann.

Dear reader, if you or anyone you know is involved with the Church of Ireland in Carrickfergus or within the Connor Diocese, won’t you even challenge your minister and Bishop for their toleration of such rank rejection of Christ.

The Bishop of Connor is Alan Abernethy and we would encourage you to put your concerns directly to him by emailing office@connordiocese.org and marking your correspondence for his attention.

Let us not sit back and allow such a God-dishonouring situation to continue unchecked in our land.

We would also issue a call to anyone reading this who attends a church which is faithful to the blood and the book to even challenge their own minister to speak out against those who are acting contrary to the Word of God.

Our faithful ministers in this country need to bring to light the works of darkness being practised by corrupters of the gospel message and speak out fearlessly and repeatedly.

Let us make our protest, let us make it loud and clear, let us never shrug our shoulders to the sin which is all around us.

Rather, let us speak out for Christ in this evil day and make sure the religious figures teaching lies and error are not allowed to do it without keeping an eye over their shoulder to see if a supporter of the truth will be snapping at their heels, highlighting the wickedness of their ways.

Joel 2:1: “Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand”.

Well said to Clogher Valley Free Presbyterian minister Rev Peter McIntyre – the Mass is most assuredly evil

Ephesians 5:11: “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”

Regular readers of ‘Protestant Revival’ will probably be aware this is a verse of Scripture we regularly quote in our articles.

This is for good reason as it is a crystal clear reminder to avoid staining yourself with the sins of this world, and it is reinforced with a command to not only shun such evil, but to condemn it for what it is.

It is the perfect riposte to those twisters who would misinterpret, be it wilfully or ignorantly, the words of Jesus in Matthew 7 when he says to “Judge not”, carefully ignoring the words of Jesus in John 7:24 when he said: “Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.”

And it is in this context of reproving the works of darkness that we pay fulsome tribute to Rev Peter McIntyre (pictured, top), minister of Clogher Valley Free Presbyterian Church in County Tyrone, who recently wrote an article describing the Roman Catholic Mass as “evil”.

Rev Peter McIntyre is, of course, absolutely right.

Writing in the Protestant magazine, the ‘Ulster Bulwark’, Rev McIntyre outlined the natural and proper objection all true Protestants should have to the Mass.

He said “there can be no greater assault on the gospel” and it is “impossible” for a Protestant to attend as a “neutral observer”.

Given that a church is a place of worship, he said, it means being present “is to be part of the worship, and as at any Mass, the wafer is translated into Christ, and this becomes the object of worship”.

Rev McIntyre continued: “Do we not owe it to Christ to be separate from such evils which grossly offend the Christ who offered himself for us?

“Many Protestants today, rather than sacrifice reputation, willingly expose themselves to the blasphemy of the Mass.

“Let us object to all that brings shame on the gospel.”

We wholeheartedly commend Rev Peter McIntyre for clearly and unequivocally taking his stand and earnestly contending for the faith, as we are instructed to do in Jude v 3.

The Mass by its very nature is evil and is a most grave blasphemy against God.

Romanist doctrine completely contradicts the Bible and this is most evident in the Mass, which is the central act of Papist worship.

Rome teaches that the bread and wine to be consumed as a symbol of Jesus’ body that was broken and blood that was shed actually becomes the body and blood of Christ.

This is what the Roman Catholic Church has to say about the Mass: “… by the consecration of the bread and the wine there takes place a change of the whole substance of the bread into the substance of the body of Christ our Lord and of the whole substance of the wine into the substance of the blood.”

Going further than making this absurd claim, they then say that anyone opposed to this is a liar and should be excommunicated, though of course being excommunicated from the Roman Catholic Church would be a step forward.

It says such a thing of anyone who “denieth that in the sacrament of the most holy Eucharist are contained truly, really, and substantially, the body and blood together with the soul and divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ”. It then says that anyone who “denieth that wonderful and singular conversion of the whole substance of the wine into the blood, let him be anathema” or cursed.

In the 39 Articles which are supposed to govern the Church of Ireland’s doctrine and beliefs, it is stated that the Mass is a “blasphemous fable and dangerous deceit”.

It is blasphemous because it is taught in the Mass that Christ is being sacrificed again and again. However, the Bible says in Hebrews 10:12: “But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God.” Christ was only sacrificed once, he only had to be sacrificed once. His single sacrifice cleanses us from all sins.

It is dangerous because it leads people astray from the true gospel of Christ and as we are told in Galatians 1:9: “If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed”.

Making their blasphemy even worse, Rome uses that language used in Scripture under the inspiration of God to pronounce its anathema against anyone who preaches the true gospel of Christ.

This is why Rev Peter McIntyre is wholly justified in saying it is evil, grossly offensive to Christ, blasphemous and shameful to the gospel.

We must reiterate the message of Galatians 1:9: “If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed”.

The proponents of any other gospel, the Holy Spirit says, are “accursed”. Rome is a church whose cup is full to overflowing with “damnable heresies” and Protestants must not drink of that cup by attendance at the Mass.

What this also means is dear Roman Catholics are being damned to hell by the disgusting deceits of Rome.

Vexatious emissaries of Papal deceit and Romish subterfuge such as ‘Father’ Patrick McCafferty and ‘Father’ Sean McManus, two papists of County Fermanagh heritage, have attacked Rev Peter McIntyre for the stand he has taken, labelling it anti-Catholicism, which is apparently a bad thing.

However, there is a world of difference between being anti-Catholicism and anti-Catholic.

We, like Rev Peter McIntyre, who made that clear in response to the criticism he received, are resolutely the former, but resolutely not the latter.

Every soul needs saved, be it the soul of someone from the Protestant tradition, the Catholic tradition, or any other tradition.

Rome knows only how to lead souls to hell with its blasphemous, tyrannical system of works.

Only Biblical Protestantism, which is true Biblical Christianity, can lead a lost soul to heaven.

True Protestantism teaches of salvation by faith alone and that is what God’s Word teaches.

Ephesians 2:8-9: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Dear sinner, be you Protestant, Catholic or any other faith, please “consider your latter end” and turn to Christ for salvation by faith alone.

Romans 10:8-9: “But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

Apostate Protestant ministers excited by Pope’s visit and encourage him to visit Northern Ireland

It can come as little surprise that apostate so-called Protestant church leaders in Ulster have voiced their disappointment at the news that the Pope will most likely not be visiting Ulster this year.

No Pope has ever been in Northern Ireland and it appears likely that will continue to be the case, and this is something we must thank God for.

Pope Francis is to come to the World Meeting of Families event, a massive Roman Catholic festival which will be held in August in Dublin. His planned two day trip will apparently not involve a trip across the border.

And this has caused great anguish to Protestant clerical traitors, including our old friend, the Most Ecumenical Richard Clarke, Church of Ireland Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland (what grand titles for such a grand fool!).

We have already highlighted the Most Ecumenical Richard Clarke leading his church into the clutches of Rome on St Patrick’s Day, so it can come as no surprise that he would find it “remarkable and wonderful” if “that man of sin, and son of perdition” came to Ulster.

He was joined in his treachery to Biblical Christianity by Rev Harold Good, the former President of the Methodist Church.

Rev Harold Good (pictured) said he was “very pleased” the Pope was coming to Ireland before going on to say that “Pope Francis, is a universally respected person, not just for his own views and ecumenical spirit but for his own integrity and humble approach”.

There will be no respect offered here to “that Antichrist” and certainly not for his views, which are completely unscriptural and which see him set his face against God. An ecumenical spirit is nothing to be commended, and indeed the Pope uses it as nothing other than a means to lure in ignorant and apostate Protestants. And as for integrity and humility? Rev Harold Good must be joking!

This is the man who just this week passed on his sympathies following the death of a paedophile priest originally from Ballycastle in County Antrim, Cardinal Keith Patrick O’Brien. Where was the Pope’s letter of sympathy to that monster’s victims?

This is the man who, on a trip to Chile recently, offended victims of sex abuse perpetrated by a Romanist priest by accusing them of slander against a priest they claim was aware of the abuse they suffered.

Rome’s face never changes, like her master the devil she is “a liar and the father of it” (John 8:44).

The Pope, by the very titles he takes upon himself, blasphemes all three persons of the Godhead.

Firstly, he calls himself the ‘Holy Father’, which blasphemes against God the Father. The Bible says in Matthew 23:9: “And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your father, which is in heaven.”

Secondly, he blasphemes against God the Son when he takes on the name of the ‘Pontiff’, which means ‘bridge’. He is claiming to be a bridge between us and God. But the Bible says in 1 Timothy 2:5: “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.”

Thirdly, he blasphemes against God the Holy Spirit when he takes on the name of ‘Vicar of Christ’. A vicar means a substitute and therefore the Pope is claiming to be the substitute of Christ. However, the Bible clearly states that is the role of the Holy Spirit. Christ told his disciples before he went to the cross that, after he departed. God the Holy Spirit would come among them.

John 14:16-17 says: “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”

Rev Harold Good then went on to say: “This visit will lay to rest the prejudices and fears of the past.”

According to Rev Harold Good, it is simply prejudice which would cause a Protestant to oppose the Pope’s visit. Not out of a devotion to God’s Word or a respect for Biblical truth or a desire that lost souls would not be tricked by that emissary of the devil.

This is simply Rev Harold Good harnessing the spirit of that notably evil king of Israel when he deliberately misrepresented God’s servant, Elijah.

When Ahab met Elijah in 1 Kings 18:17, we are told: “And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said unto him, Art thou he that troubleth Israel?”

Ahab blamed Elijah for the problems in his kingdom, which included a great drought, rather than looking at his own sin. Elijah responded boldly to this wicked ruler, and his words would just as easily be applied by a child of God to leaders of apostasy like Rev Harold Good. 1 Kings 18:18 says: “And he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father’s house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of the Lord, and thou hast followed Baalim.”

Ahab’s comments to Elijah are true slander, and perhaps when Rev Harold Good scuttles down to Dublin to meet his buddy he can instruct him on the meaning of the word.

Completing the unholy trinity of mainstream Protestant churches running open armed to ‘Papa’ is Rev Trevor Gribben, who holds the positions of General Secretary of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland and Clerk of the General Assembly.

Rev Trevor Gribben said he is certain many people of differing theological and political views would want to “join our Catholic neighbours” in welcoming his visit.

“The attendance of Pope Francis at the World Meeting of Families will greatly enhance the affirmation of the place of the family at the heart of society, and that is to be welcomed.”

What weasel words! All the visit of Pope Francis will enhance is the level of deceit and influence he exerts over the deluded Roman Catholics of Ireland.

Rev Trevor Gribben continued by saying he would “certainly welcome” a visit to Northern Ireland by the Pope at some stage in the future.

This is a scandalous betrayal of his Protestant heritage and of the sacrifice so many Protestants have made in the past to ensure the beautiful simplicity of the gospel reached the common folk. It is only the gospel which can save a sinner and Rome sought to hide it from the common people, in turn condemning them to hell.

This apostasy is warned of in the Scriptures. 1 Timothy 4:1-2 says: “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;”

Rome certainly falls under the category of offering “seducing spirits” and “doctrines of devils” and we have seen such a departure from the faith in these mainstream churches in Ulster.

We are not so much as aware of a single clergyman in any of these denominations speaking out against the Pope’s visit to Ireland and that is to their eternal shame.

If anyone reading this is a member of any of these specified denominations, we would urge you to enquire of your minister what their view is and what they are doing to challenge these treacherous comments they have made.

We would also ask every reader to pray the Pope will not come to any part of Ireland. God can cause events to move against this fraudster and we ought to pray he will intervene and keep that Romish man of sin away from these shores.

Matthew 21:2: “Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.”

James 5:16: “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
