Joint Anglican and Roman Catholic document seeking full unity under the Pope

The nefarious desire of the ‘Protestant’ heretics within Anglicanism to move into full communion with the deceitful Romanist system has been outlined in the latest agreed statement between the Anglican movement and the Roman Catholic Church.

It is the first statement issued by the third Anglican-Roman Catholic International Commission (ARCIC), a body whose aim is to achieve full unity with Rome, including sharing in the Eucharist (or Mass) and having the Pope as the head.

It is jointly commissioned by both the Vatican and Canterbury.

We should not be at all surprised that the Vatican should agree to this, as it costs them nothing to reach the final destination the two churches have agreed on.

However, it is hard to fathom why the senior figures in the Anglican movement, led by the Arch-apostate of Canterbury, Justin Welby (pictured, top), should want to hand over power over Anglicanism to the Pope (pictured, below).

Let us not forget that their own church still subscribes in name to the 39 Articles.

These include the very proper statement that the Mass is a “blasphemous fable” and a “dangerous deceit”, yet this Anglican commission is looking to share in the Mass with the Papacy.

Such traitors ought to be thrown out by the scruff of their neck from the Church of England, Church of Ireland, Episcopal Church of the USA and all other branches of the worldwide Anglican Communion.

Instead, these are the figures in the top positions and perpetuating such a despicable state of affairs by appointing their own like to the highest positions as they become vacant.

We have read this ‘agreed statement’, as they have entitled it, and will reproduce just some of the content now (it extends to 77 pages of drivel, deceit and departure from any accepted standard of loyalty to God’s Word) for readers to digest.

It is truly a sickening document.

It says: “We do not yet, however, share partnership in the eucharist. What we as yet lack drives us on in search for deeper reconciliation and fuller unity at [all] levels of the Church. While we do not yet fully share in the eucharist, we are already in a real yet imperfect communion which impels us towards deeper and fuller reconciliation at [all] levels of the Church.

“We are pilgrims together walking on the way of penitence and renewal towards full communion.”

They then misapply Ephesians 4:1-3, which says: “I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”

Blasphemously applying this to seeking communion with evil, which the Roman Catholic system undoubtedly is, they conclude this God-defying document by saying: “These characteristics capture the necessary spirit of our ecumenical journey, and offer us a vision of how we are to continue walking together on the way towards full communion.”

This is exactly what this document says, and you can click here to take you to the page where you are able download the document and read it for yourself. You can do so by clicking on the final word of the first paragraph of the article.

Dear member of the Church of Ireland or any other part of the worldwide Anglican Communion, are you “walking together” with the Pope “on the way towards full communion”? Your church leaders say you are.

Are you a “fellow pilgrim” with the Romanists? Are you walking with them on the “way of penitence”? Let’s not forget that penitence in the Church of Rome includes all sorts of works based sacrifices, from mortifying your body to saying Hail Mary’s. Your church leaders say you are sharing that path of penitence.

Are you sharing in a “real communion” with the Papacy, the church which still to this very day teaches, in their communion service, known as the Mass, that they are sacrificing Christ again and again and again, and this despite the Bible clearly teaching His sacrifice at Calvary was once and for all? Your church leaders say you are.

Remember what Hebrews 10:10-12 says: “By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God”.

Do you, as a member of the Church of Ireland, Church of England or any other part of the Anglican Communion, believe you are travelling towards full communion with Rome, under the authority of the Pope? Your church leaders believe you are.

Do you want to travel towards full communion with Rome, under the authority of the Pope? If not, then surely you must speak out against this despicable betrayal of Biblical Protestantism, which is true Christianity.

If you are still unconvinced of the intentions of the leadership of the two churches, we will quote further from this document by ARCIC III, as it is known.

They say, in their introduction: “The goal of the Anglican – Roman Catholic dialogue, established in 1966, during the visit of Archbishop Michael Ramsey to Pope Paul VI, has been successively reiterated by subsequent Popes and Archbishops of Canterbury in the series of Common Declarations issued at important meetings together.

“This goal has been succinctly expressed as ‘the restoration of complete communion in faith and sacramental life and visible unity and full ecclesial communion’.”

That is the goal of all ecumenical conduct throughout the Church of Ireland, Church of England or elsewhere in the Anglican Communion with the Church of Rome.

Any time there is an ecumenical service with the local priest popping in to say a prayer; any time your minister drops into the local chapel for one of their services; any time a Week of Prayer for Christian Unity event is held; any time a Women’s World Day of Prayer event is held in your church, or your friend’s church, or your neighbour’s church, THAT is the goal.

We will repeat their goal and give it the same prominence as it is given in the ARCIC document by reproducing it in the same style as they have done. It is on page 10 of the document, if you want to see it for yourself.

Their goal, by this ecumenical dialogue, is:

“the restoration of complete communion in faith and sacramental life
and
visible unity and full ecclesial communion”

Again, you can view that document by clicking this link and downloading the document there.

Here is another quote from the document.

“Popes and Archbishops of Canterbury have successively recommitted Anglicans and Catholics to the goal of unity, with increasing clarity and frankness”.

There you go, dear member or attendee of the Church of Ireland, Church of England or elsewhere in the Anglican Communion. The leadership has continually, for 50 years, been “recommitting” you, as an Anglican, to “the goal of unity” and they are getting more brazen about it.

This whole document is brazen, it is an overtly God rejecting statement from start to finish, and it has been done in your name, if you attend any church within Anglicanism.

The Reformation remains an event despised by Rome, for it seized many millions from its control and undermined its deceitful, utterly unscriptural gospel of works, thus depriving it of an incredible amount of money it had been successfully extorting from the public as they purported that financial generosity to the church would help ease their passage into heaven.

And so it is telling that, in an act of arrogance and as a slap in the face to all Reformed Protestants who hold the Word of God and its precious gospel of salvation by faith alone so dear, they concluded the work on their agreed statement in Erfurt in Germany.

Erfurt, of course, was where Martin Luther studied and was ordained as an Augustinian friar in the Church of Rome.

For supposed Protestants to negotiate what is in reality a surrender to the Church of Rome in a city synonymous with the story of the man seen to have kickstarted the glorious Protestant Reformation compounds their betrayal of the goodly heritage that so many men and women fought and died for over the past 500 years.

Also highlighting their betrayal is the pre-eminence given to the Pope, “that man of sin, and son of perdition”, within this agreed statement.

Referring to the “Bishop of Rome”, they say: “In this, as in previous ARCIC Agreed Statements, the Pope, variously referred to as the Supreme Pontiff, the Servant of the Servants of God, the Holy Father, and other historic titles, is normally styled Bishop of Rome.

“It is because the particular church of Rome is where both Saints Peter and Paul laboured and were martyred, that the See of Rome and its Bishop, enjoy a pre-eminent authority and honour in the universal Church.”

Of course, Peter never went to Rome and indeed wrote at least one of his epistles from Babylon, many thousands of miles from Rome.

And any acceptance of any type of authority of the Pope of Rome is utterly repugnant to any true believer due to the blasphemous titles he takes upon himself.

One of the names ascribed to him in their own documents is that of “Supreme Pontiff”, with ‘pontiff’ meaning ‘bridge’.

He is saying he is a bridge between man and God, when that role belongs solely to our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Timothy 2:5 says: “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus”.

Any fellowship with the corrupt system of Rome is a betrayal of the Bible and must be resolutely fought against and opposed.

Ephesians 5:11 reminds us of this. It says: “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”

If you are a member of the Church of Ireland we would encourage you to express your disgust with this dreadful document to your minister and question him as to his view on the matter.

If you are friends with anyone within the church, we would certainly advise you to share this with them so they can be fully aware of the betrayal of Christ the Arch-apostate of Canterbury, Justin Welby, is carrying out in your name (click here for an indication of his rejection of the gospel).

Please remember, dear Christian, we are to be faithful to Christ and not to any particular church.

Separation from error, and this is indeed grave error, is a fundamental tenet of Christianity.

2 Corinthians 6:17: “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you”.

Hebrews 13:13: “Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.”

The blasphemy of female ministers such as ‘Rev’ Sarah Mullally

1 Timothy 2:9-12: “In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.”

It is quite clear that the Bible prohibits the elevation of women into the role of pastors, teachers or other positions of authority in the church.

While this does not preclude women from fulfilling certain roles within the church, such as children’s work, it does mean women ought not to hold office in the church as they are in a position of authority over male adult members of the church.

One must only look at the appointment of the deacons in the Apostolic Church, as detailed in Acts 6:1-5: “And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration. Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables. Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business. But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word. And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch”.

Note that, not only were seven men chosen, it was strictly stated in advance that only men were to be considered – “look ye out among you seven men of honest report”.

This is quite clearly a God ordained precept and one which ought to be adhered to.

However, over the past number of decades, so-called Protestant churches have opted to ignore the various sections of Scripture pertaining to the role of the woman in the supposed interests of modernity and inclusivity, two dogmas pursued today, even by professing Christians, with far greater zeal than the precepts taught within the Bible.

In fact, so far down the road has this gone, that last year it was reported that more women than men had applied for the ministry in the Church of England.

And it is in that shameful context that we recently saw the appointment of the first ever female Bishop of London, a ‘Rev’ Sarah Mullally (pictured, top).

She is not the first female bishop appointed by the Church of England, indeed this is her second bishopric, but she is by far the most senior woman in the church, and is currently the third most senior figure in the Church of England, behind only the Arch-apostate of Canterbury, Justin Welby, and the Archbishop of York, John Sentamu.

It has been a heady rise for ‘Rev’ Sarah Mullally, she having only quit secular employment in 2004, and it is an indication of the pace with which the apostate Church of England is descending to the gutter that within four and a half years of permitting female bishops, they have one sitting as third in command in the entire church.

In Proverbs 6 we are told of a number of things which the Lord hates and considers an abomination. Verse 18 gives us two of them. They are: “An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief”.

The overthrowing of God’s ordained order is undoubtedly a “wicked imagination” and the Church of England has certainly been “swift in running to mischief” by appointing so many female bishops in such a short space of time.

Women who hold ministerial positions are flagrantly disregarding God’s Word, and it is telling that often they are among the most notorious ecumenists and compromisers in the ordained ministry.

We need only look at the truly disgraceful situation whereby ‘Rev’ Lesley Carroll, an ordained Presbyterian ‘minister’, holds the position of Deputy Chief Commissioner of the Equality Commission in Northern Ireland.

This is the organisation which has brought its repressive, anti-Christian legal action against Asher’s Bakery, simply because the bakery’s Christian owners refused to compromise their own beliefs by icing a cake with a message in support of gay marriage, a practice repugnant to the Word of God and illegal in Northern Ireland.

She has remained silent on the matter throughout the three years or since that matter first came to public attention.

‘Rev’ Lesley Carroll has, however, not remained silent in her ecumenical fervour, it is only when good is being attacked that she holds her tongue.

Another example is ‘Rev’ Christine Bradley, the ‘minister’ of Armagh Road Presbyterian Church in Portadown. She stressed her support in 2015 for gay marriage in the light of the referendum in the Republic of Ireland which favoured legalising that most anti-Christian of acts.

There are many more besides who are to the forefront of ecumenical compromise.

In fact, while researching a couple of months ago an article on the various ecumenical Good Friday walks of witness being held up and down the country, we were struck by the sheer number of women engaging enthusiastically in the apostasy and thus leading their congregations down the same broad road to destruction.

They included ‘Rev’ Anne Tolland of Newtownbreda Presbyterian Church, ‘Rev’ Maureen Hassard of Ballynafeigh Methodist Church, ‘Rev’ Elaine O’Brien of St John’s and St Ninian’s Church of Ireland, Whitehouse, Belfast, ‘Rev’ Liz Hughes of Whitehouse Presbyterian Church, ‘Rev’ Pauline Whan of Greencastle Methodist Church, ‘Rev’ Louise Monroe of Downpatrick Methodist Church and a ‘Sister’ Myrtle Morrison of St Saviour’s Church of Ireland, Craigavon.

Given that men do still significantly outnumber women in the ministry in Northern Ireland, this was a most noteworthy fact.

Also, when you see female ministers, you always notice they have their heads uncovered, unless, of course, they, like ‘Rev’ Sarah Mullally, are bedecked in their elaborate ceremonial garb.

This is despite this once again being part of God’s inspired and inerrant Word.

1 Corinthians 11:3-9: “But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head. But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven. For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered. For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man. Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.”

That is pretty clear, isn’t it?

Every woman who attends church without her head suitably covered is acting in open and determined defiance of God and are dishonouring their husband, if they have one, and, most importantly, God, whom they are supposed to be there to worship.

Characters like ‘Rev’ Sarah Mullally are counted among the false prophets warned of in God’s Word. They are those who are described in 2 Timothy 3:5 as “having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away”.

And dear reader, if you are in a church which tolerates the presence of women in the pulpit or in positions of authority, we hope and pray that you will “turn away” from such and separate yourselves unto God.

And if there happens to be any women reading this who hold positions of authority or indeed act in a ministerial capacity, we would implore you to consider your ways and examine the Word of God.

While this closing verse may use the male pronoun, it is equally applicable to women.

James 4:17: “Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.”

Adultery and apostasy: Why the Royal wedding was an affront to God

1 Corinthians 7:10-11: “And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.”

The Royal wedding on Saturday past has been the subject of much of the world’s attention over the past week.

It is estimated that just under two billion people worldwide watched the wedding, or around one in four people in the entire world, saw Prince Harry, sixth in line to the Great British throne, and American actress Meghan Markle tie the knot, as they say.

Much has been made over trivial matters, such as the bride’s dress, her hair, her make-up, her father’s presence (or indeed absence, as it turned out).

Indeed, the bride’s ethnic heritage was repeatedly raised as being a notable factor in the whole debate, though of course, and this is perhaps the only occasion in this article where we are in tune with modern politically correct dogma, Meghan Markle’s racial background is utterly irrelevant.

However, the key issue at play is that Meghan Markle, regardless of the pomp and ceremony and the (worldly-speaking) litany of important public figures in attendance, was not in the eyes of God and in the light of His Word, legally able to marry Prince Harry.

This is an adulterous union.

Our passage at the top of this article says: “Let not the wife depart from her husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband”.

These are not merely the words of Paul, the earthly author of the book of Corinthians, these are the words of God, as God the Holy Spirit led and inspired each earthly penman as they wrote.

For double the effect, Paul even writes: “I command, yet not I, but the Lord”.

That’s pretty clear, isn’t it?

From reading various reports of Meghan Markle’s previous marriage to a film producer called Trevor Engelson, which lasted around two years, it appears Meghan Markle was the principal driver in the separation, posting her wedding and engagement rings back to her husband.

It was also reported that in legal papers concerning the divorce proceedings, the cause stated for the separation was “irreconcilable differences”.

We’ll place that, once more, in the light of the Scripture passage we have already cited. It says: “…if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband…”

As they have legally stated their differences are “irreconcilable”, then it is plain what God says Meghan Markle must do – “let her remain unmarried”.

However, there she was, on Saturday past, in front of one quarter of the world’s population but, most importantly, before God, utterly rejecting and ignoring God’s Word.

Indeed, the Arch-apostate of Canterbury, Justin Welby (pictured, above), gave her a chance to rectify that matter when, shortly before the vows were made, he said: “The vows you are about to take are to be made in the presence of God, who is Judge of all and knows all the secrets of our hearts. Therefore, if either of you knows a reason why you may not lawfully marry you must declare it now.”

That was met with silence.

She then vowed that, “forsaking all others” she would “be faithful to him as long as [they] both shall live”.

That is a right and noble thing to vow. However, she has vowed to do it before with another, and cannot, in the eyes of God, perform those vows again in her circumstances.

She later stated that “in the presence of God” she made her vows.

What a dreadful disregard and disrespect for God that she said such a thing!

There are numerous other verses pertaining to this matter, and several are straight from the mouth of Jesus during His time on earth.

Mark 10:12: “And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.”

Matthew 5:32: “But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.”

Not only is Meghan Markle an adulteress, but Prince Harry is, by the Word of God, an adulterer.

Please pray for our Royal Family, that God will move among them and convict them of their departure from His Word.

Let us not forget that Prince William, who will most likely be King of Great Britain one day, appeared on the front cover of a gay magazine, called ‘Attitude’ just under two years ago.

In an article within that magazine, Prince William hit out against the bullying of homosexuals, and certainly bullying is wrong, regardless of the target.

However, he went on to say: “You should be proud of the person you are and you have nothing to be ashamed of.”

While our probable future King might say that, the King of Kings takes a very different view.

Leviticus 18:22: “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.”

Romans 1:22-27 says: “Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.”

Rulers are to be a “terror” to evil works (Romans 13:3), not an endorser of that which God has condemned as abominable and vile.

The subject of homosexuality brings us to the false prophet who was allowed to pollute the pulpit of St George’s Chapel, though of course the Arch-apostate of Canterbury, Justin Welby, was more than capable of doing that by himself.

Rev Michael Curry (pictured, below) took the stage, for that is what it was to him, and preached a message of absolute drivel.

His constant prattling about love and then fire was in no way faithful to the God ordained principle of ministry to preach “all the counsel of God” (Acts 20:27).

Had the fire he mentioned been in relation to the fires of hell (Revelation 21:8) and that unrepentant sinners will be there for all eternity, then he would have been on a better path.

However, Rev Michael Curry is well advanced down the broad path, which leads to destruction, and he’s taking plenty with him.

For he and his church have taken a disgracefully ungodly attitude to homosexuality, not only of those in its pews but those in its pulpits and highest offices.

Rev Michael Curry is Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, the US sister body of the Anglican Church.

The Episcopal Church authorised the appointment of an openly gay bishop, Gene Robinson in 2003, and gave its backing to gay marriage in 2015.

Rev Michael Curry also has stated his support for the madness of allowing so-called “transgender” people to use whichever public toilets they so choose and publicly stressed his welcome of homosexuals into his church.

Defending his God defying stance following condemnation from other members of the worldwide Anglican Communion, he said: “Our commitment to be an inclusive church is based on our belief that the outstretched arms of Jesus on the cross are a sign of the very love of God reaching out to us all.

“For fellow disciples of Jesus in our church who are gay or lesbian, this will bring more pain. For many who have felt and been rejected by the church because of who they are, for many who have felt and been rejected by families and communities, our church opening itself in love was a sign of hope.”

While Rev Michael Curry’s church will not reject people because of who they are, God will reject people because of who they are.

If you are not saved, Jesus tells us in Matthew 7:23: “And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

It is unsurprising that the woolly message of Rev Michael Curry, who also referenced a Jesuit priest, the group which led the murderous Counter Reformation, during his sermon, was praised so fulsomely by two notorious ecumenists, we wrote about just last week, Emmanuel Church leader Alain Emerson and Rev Steve Stockman, minister of Fitzroy Presbyterian Church.

Both took to Twitter on several occasions during the wedding ceremony to stress their delight at the message of this apostate.

However, while these men will not show their followers the way of salvation, there is a remedy for sin that all may receive, and that is God’s Salvation through the precious blood of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 9:22 tells us that “without shedding of blood is no remission” of sins.

1 John 1:9 says: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Dear reader, look not to Royal figures in this earth, but instead look to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Hebrews 12:2: “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Emmanuel leader Alain Emerson continues ecumenical descent by organising prayer event with Rome’s blessing

The leader of the Emmanuel Church, based in the Craigavon area, Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson, just can’t help himself when it comes to ecumenical compromise.

Not content with addressing a meeting in St Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church in Belfast as part of the ecumenical Four Corners Festival in February, at which he endorsed the ecumenical, ritualistic, anti-Christian form of worship known as TaizĂ©, Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson then addressed another ecumenical meeting in Ballymena last month with Rome’s stamp of approval.

And now he is throwing his full weight behind organising an ecumenical prayer initiative which has been granted the seal of approval from Rome.

‘Thy Kingdom Come’ is the name of the prayer initiative, founded by Arch-apostate of Canterbury Justin Welby in 2016.

Any prayer initiative launched by such a Bible rejecter as the Arch-apostate of Canterbury cannot be founded on solid rock.

After all, he was previously featured on ‘Protestant Revival’ for endorsing prayer to Mary (1 Timothy 2:5 clearly demonstrates the blasphemy of this) and encouraging Protestants to join in prayer with the Pope, “that Antichrist, that man of sin, and son of perdition”.

We also revealed last week the cosy relationship of the Arch-apostate of Canterbury with the Pope, as well as his close friendship with the leaders of the Vineyard movement, one of whose local leaders declared he was “all in” with the Pope.

So this gives a fine example of the sort of clerical company Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson believes it is acceptable to associate with. As a side note, Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson recently spoke at the Causeway Coast Vineyard, where Alan Scott made those disgraceful comments regarding the Pope. It would also appear it was far from his first visit there.

We had previously highlighted this prayer event being so fulsomely championed by Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson as we offered him the opportunity not to engage in his further ecumenical compromise last month, an opportunity which, of course, he did not take.

Then, our chief concern with the event was the venue it was to be held at this Saturday, 19 May in Belfast, May Street Presbyterian Church, a church synonymous with mean compromise with Rome.

However, at the time, we were unaware of how strong the Romanist connections to this prayer initiative were.

In a Church of England article about the launch of the initiative, which is also championed by Archbishop of York John Sentamu, it says: “The campaign’s broad ecumenical appeal led to more than 50 denominations and traditions being involved last year; including the Roman Catholic Church.”

The Church of England is clearly entirely satisfied with Rome’s involvement and, indeed, proud of it, given that of the “more than 50 denominations and traditions” involved last year, it was the very first one they mentioned.

Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson is currently Director of a group called 24-7 Prayer Ireland, which is organising this prayer event, meaning he is one of the leading figures in this ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ prayer initiative.

At the Church of Ireland’s Synod last week, the Irish launch of the ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ prayer initiative was held jointly by the so-called Protestant Archbishop of Armagh, the Most Ecumenical Richard Clarke, whose disgraceful Rome loving behaviour we have previously covered, and the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Armagh, Eamon Martin.

The pair speak at length in an article on the Church of Ireland Diocese of Derry and Raphoe website, with ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ at least twice being referred to as an “ecumenical” initiative.

As if this was not enough evidence to damn this event already, a quick look at the ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ website itself will finish the job.

On its website, there are resources for Roman Catholics to pray a Novena during the celebrations.

Novenas are something we previously dealt with when addressing the apostasy of Antrim Church of Ireland cleric, Rev Stephen McBride.

Novenas are “often used to ask specific saints to pray for us”, says the ‘Pray More Novenas’ website, meaning they involve the invocation of saints, forbidden in 1 Timothy 2:5.

We also recounted at that time how “by the 11th century, the Novena practice had become a means in Christianity of praying to petition personal or spiritual favour to a saint, such as Virgin Mary. After the Reformation and Counter-Reformation era, the Catholic Church formally approved Novenas, in particular through the papal approvals of a large number of Novenas by Pope Pius IX.

“The practice of the Novena is based in early Christianity, where masses were held for nine days with devotional prayers to someone who has died.”

This means the Novena has its roots in prayer for the dead, which is an utter affront to the gospel.

Despite this, the ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ initiative is encouraging Novenas to be prayed under its banner.

And the Roman Catholic Church of England and Wales has said on its website: ‘We’re supporting this initiative with our Pentecost Novena”.

What a shameful event this is, and what a shameful event Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson (pictured below, speaking in St Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church back in February) is not only supporting but indeed organising.

We will remind Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson and his ilk of what the Bible has to say.

Ephesians 5:11: “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”

Jude v 3: “…ye should earnestly contend for the faith…”

2 Corinthians 6:14-17: “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.”

There can be no light fellowshipping with darkness, therefore when Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson and his acolytes gather together they may think they are spreading light but instead they are enveloping themselves in darkness.

Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson is doing this proudly and unashamedly. In a video he has posted on the 24-7 Prayer Ireland twitter page he is encouraging everyone to go along, making a virtue of the Arch-apostate of Canterbury supporting the initiative and claiming an event which is an affront to God is going to be “beautiful”.

He also points out it is not the first time he has led such an anti Biblical meeting, and last year he held it in St Anne’s Cathedral in Belfast, probably second only to Corrymeela as the home of ecumenical deceit in Ulster.

Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson says: “Last year we had an event in St Anne’s Cathedral at the same time of year and it was such a beautiful joy.

“Please come and join us. It’s part of a wider global initiative where people all over the world are going to be praying that night. It’s championed by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby himself.

“We’d love to play our part here, it’s going to be beautiful.”

Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson would do well to consider what Jesus said in Matthew 12:37: “…by thy words thou shalt be condemned.”

These prayers offered up will not be heard by God, they will go no further than the ceiling. God has already judged and condemned their actions.

Isaiah 1:11-17: “To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the Lord : I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats. When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts? Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting. Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them. And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood. Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.”

However, if Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson and his followers repudiate such God-defying conduct as this ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ initiative and put away the evil of their doings, God is ready to show mercy to them.

Verse 18 of that chapter says: “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”

God has called on us to separate from the works of darkness. It is our prayer that anyone reading who has not yet separated themselves will do so and anyone who is not yet saved will call on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation today.

Vineyard Church leader Alan Scott says Mary worship is fine and that he’s ‘all in’ with the Pope

The lead pastor of the Causeway Coast Vineyard church in Coleraine has declared his solidarity with the Pope, saying he is “all in” with that man of sin, and son of perdition.

Alan Scott (pictured, top) is the leader of the charismatic grouping and he has firmly nailed his colours to the Romanist mast with his shameful comments.

In the message he delivered at a meeting in the Causeway Coast Vineyard last year, which has only recently been brought to our attention, he said he could “journey” spiritually with the Pope, the man the Westminster Confession of Faith describes as that “Antichrist” as he blasphemously sets up himself up in the place of God.

In the message, Alan Scott recounts a meeting of the leaders of the Vineyard Church with the Pope. They are John and Eleanor (or Ele) Mumford, who, for the easily impressed, are also the parents of Marcus Mumford from the pop group Mumford and Sons.

He speaks of the meeting as if it is something pleasant to be in the company with the leader of the church which has led millions, perhaps billions, to hell.

While walking in to meet the Pope, John and Ele bump into their good friends who have just met with the “Antichrist” themselves, “Justin and Caroline”, who happen to be Justin and Caroline Welby, the Arch-Apostate of Canterbury, whom we have previously mentioned endorsing the Romish practice of prayer to saints, and his wife.

This shows that, even beside the Pope, their company is unbecoming those who would profess Christ as they are pals with a leader of the apostasy in the UK like Justin Welby.

As Alan Scott, who has recently moved to America to spread his deceit further, continues his drivel, which is still available online (though we wouldn’t advise listening to it – we have subjected ourselves to it so you don’t have to), one begins to wonder if he’s telling a bedtime story or supposedly preaching to people’s souls.

He then blatantly issues a defiant challenge to God. Alan Scott continues: “John and Ele went in to meet the Pope. Are the Proddies OK?”

Cue uproarious laughter from the dupes in the congregation.

What Alan Scott is saying is: “Did the two Protestants suddenly spontaneously combust when they went into the presence of the leader of Romanism? Were they struck down by God in that very second? No, they didn’t and they weren’t, and that’s because they did nothing wrong in socialising with the Pope.”

That’s what he is saying. He is directly challenging God with a breathtaking arrogance, irreverence and ignorance of His power and His anger at sin.

Quite often sin goes unpunished for a long time, quite often sinners don’t seem to be punished in this life. However, judgement will surely come, whether it be visibly on earth, or whether it be in eternity.

Ecclesiastes 8:11-13: “Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. Though a sinner do evil an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him: But it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong his days, which are as a shadow; because he feareth not before God.”

The heart of Alan Scott is fully set in himself to do evil, such as causing members of his congregation to laugh at the notion that God could possibly judge sin. He needs to bear in mind those nine words in verse 13: “But it shall not be well with the wicked”.

Job, in his disputations with his friends, looks at the lack of judgement there appears to be on the wicked, and indeed they often prosper, but it will not last and they are as chaff blown away in the wind. It says in Job 21:13-18: “They spend their days in wealth, and in a moment go down to the grave. Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways. What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? and what profit should we have, if we pray unto him? Lo, their good is not in their hand: the counsel of the wicked is far from me. How oft is the candle of the wicked put out! and how oft cometh their destruction upon them! God distributeth sorrows in his anger. They are as stubble before the wind, and as chaff that the storm carrieth away.”

Temporarily safe from God’s judgement, John and Ele persist in their defiance of our Saviour by referring to the Pope as “His Holiness”, when there are few, if any, less holy people on this earth.

Ele then, Alan Scott relays to us, asks the Pope a question. She asks him, “What do you think the Holy Spirit is doing on the earth today?” As if the Pope has any idea what the Holy Spirit is doing.

However, the Holy Spirit knows what the Pope is doing. He is blaspheming His name by claiming to be the ‘Vicar of Christ on earth’, a role which was taken by the Holy Spirit after Christ had finished His work on earth.

However, Alan Scott gushes: “That’s a brilliant question for the Pope.” He then goes on to say the Pope replied by saying you can do three things with the Holy Spirit.

Alan Scott says the Pope said you can ignore him, grieve him (the Pope knows all about that one!) or you can “let the Holy Spirit have His way”.

And then Alan Scott confirmed his disgraceful blasphemy and sell out of God’s Word.

He says: “Now here’s the deal. John and Ele and Justin and Caroline and Francis, they will disagree on lots of things, but I can journey with anyone who’ll let the Holy Spirit have His way.

“If we’re agreed on that, I’m all in. If that’s your conviction of faith. Like we can talk about beads and flags, or we can just say, ‘Holy Spirit you’re welcome here’. It’s beautiful, right? And that’s the unity we aspire towards.”

We’re afraid, Alan Scott, that is the furthest thing from beautiful and it is certainly not the unity anyone should be aspiring towards.

What he is saying is that doctrines aren’t important, faithfulness to God’s Word is an irrelevance, we are all to be part of one big ecumenical gang as long as someone makes one single glib statement that they’ll let the Holy Spirit have His way.

Jesus said, “by their fruits ye shall know them” and the Pope grieves the Holy Spirit by his blasphemy, which will not be forgiven.

Matthew 12:31: “Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.”

Alan Scott and his followers in the Vineyard church and its friends need to remember that. The Pope’s sin will not be forgiven. He is damned already.

That must also cause you to question whoever wants to associate with the Pope and whoever says they are “all in” and can “journey” spiritually with the Pope. Any spiritual journey with the Pope leads to hell.

As for his comments about beads (representing Roman Catholicism) and flags (supposedly representing Protestantism), that is just absolute nonsense.

Alan Scott is clearly referring to rosary beads, a Romanist blasphemy used to pray to Mary for intercession, (1 Timothy 2:5: “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus”), but he is stating he does not have a problem with that and is endorsing worship of Mary. What utter blasphemy!

As for the reference to flags, a comment which drew foolish laughter from his audience, since when were flags a part of Protestant worship? There is no equivalence between the two. This is just silly nonsense from someone in a position as a church leader, which demands far more from its occupant.

2 Timothy 2:16-17: “But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. And their word will eat as doth a canker”.

That word “canker” can be rendered “cancer”, and it equates such foolish talk to be like a cancer in the way it spreads, and that is what Alan Scott is doing, he is spreading another gospel which will eat up people’s souls until they are entirely consumed and cast into hell.

Reader, please be wary of such utter departure from God’s Word. Be aware too that the leader of the Evangelical Alliance, Peter Lynas, is a leading figure in that church.

We previously featured Peter Lynas’ pathetic, glowing tribute to Billy Graham, a man who walked hand in hand with Rome and turned souls yearning for salvation back into the clutches of Rome. Peter Lynas has also previously stated his interest in hearing what the Pope has to say about moral issues, such as abortion.

True Christians shouldn’t want to hear what that “man of sin, and son of perdition” has to say on anything.

Luke 11:28: “But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.”

Former Church of Ireland Dean of Belfast John Mann glorying in his shame with ecumenical award

Jeremiah 6:15: “Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the Lord.”

Philippians 3:18-19: For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.”

It is a most grievous thing to God when we sin, but that sin is compounded still further when those who sin take pride in their iniquitous conduct, those who “were not at all ashamed” when they had committed abomination; those “whose glory is in their shame”.

And so it is with Very Reverend (Very Reprehensible!) John Mann, the former Church of Ireland Dean of Belfast, who led the ecumenical treachery which is synonymous with St Anne’s Cathedral in that city.

In our picture we can see him grinning proudly next to the Arch-apostate of Canterbury, Justin Welby, who had just awarded him the ‘Lambeth Cross’ for his ecumenical work in Belfast.

What a dreadful thing to glory in and a shameful thing to reward!

The award citation for Very Reprehensible John Mann reads: “The Lambeth Cross for Ecumenism, for courageous and visionary leadership which affirmed diversity, fostered healing and made Belfast Cathedral (St Anne’s) a place of welcome as a sacred civic space at the heart of a divided city.”

Very Reprehensible John Mann has done many great things in the eyes of sinful men, such as the Arch-apostate of Canterbury, but nowhere in his citation has he been praised for faithful preaching of God’s Word, earnestly contending for the faith or showing sinners the way to salvation.

These are the things that men who claim to be God’s servants are supposed to, but “by their fruits ye shall know them” and the fruit brought forth by Very Reprehensible John Mann is very loathsome indeed.

This betrayal of his Protestant heritage was no more evident than in July 2016 when he installed a Roman Catholic priest, a ‘Father’ Edward O’Donnell, as an ecumenical canon in St Anne’s Cathedral.

What an absolute disgrace!

He installed a Mary worshipping, prayers for the dead saying, Pope exalting, Purgatory believing, salvation by faith alone denying heretic to a position of authority and held him up to the congregation at St Anne’s and all within the Church of Ireland and the wider Anglican movement as an acceptable, nay admirable, figure, worthy of being listened to and in whose hands it was acceptable to place your spiritual welfare.

He also launched an ecumenical youth choir with students from a Protestant school, a Roman Catholic school and an integrated school.

You can be sure that the Roman Catholic pupils wouldn’t have been allowed near a so-called Protestant church were it feared they might be taught the truth of the gospel, rather than the pagan corruption of Rome.

And what Very Reprehensible John Mann has achieved through this is help set a generation of young people on their way to hell by bringing them in to sing at services where he is spewing out his filth and shame.

On numerous occasions throughout his epistles, the Apostle Paul said the phrase “I would not have you ignorant”, but Very Reprehensible John Mann fostered ignorance during his reign of terror and he and his followers have a fearsome price to pay.

Hosea 4:6-10″ My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. As they were increased, so they sinned against me: therefore will I change their glory into shame. They eat up the sin of my people, and they set their heart on their iniquity. And there shall be, like people, like priest: and I will punish them for their ways, and reward them their doings. For they shall eat, and not have enough: they shall commit whoredom, and shall not increase: because they have left off to take heed to the Lord.”

That is a powerful passage of God’s inspired Word (no doubt Very Reprehensible John Mann will add to his list of heresies by denying that it is inspired) and no doubt the fans of St Anne’s Cathedral will want to cover their ears when faced with this prophecy of Hosea.

Could there be more apt a phrase, “my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” for the state that apostate clerics such as Very Reprehensible John Mann leave their congregations in?

God has rejected him and there awaits the same fate for his followers (“there shall be, like people, like priest”).

What a fearsome position to be in! Please, dear reader, do not allow some apostate to take you to hell with them.

Just because Very Reprehensible John Mann appears to be doing well right now, do not forget that God’s judgement is awaiting him and one day he will find he can run no further from the God he has claimed to serve but has so blasphemously denied.

God’s judgement is coming on all who deny him and Nahum 1:3 tells us He “will not at all acquit the wicked”.

If you are involved with a church in the ecumenical movement, please separate yourself and, if you’re not saved, look to Christ, who alone can atone for sins.

1 John 1:9: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Arch-apostate of Canterbury Justin Welby endorses Mary worship in Belfast visit and encourages prayers with Pope

The most senior figure in the Anglican Communion (which includes both the Church of England and Church of Ireland) has paid a somewhat secretive visit to Northern Ireland, where he has strengthened his credentials as an arch-apostate by cosying up with Romanists in Clonard monastery, the papal hub of Irish republican west Belfast.

Archbishop (Arch-apostate!) of Canterbury Justin Welby dropped into Northern Ireland in the second half of the week just gone in a completely unheralded excursion, bringing 60 other members of the top brass in the Anglican Communion with him.

He had a look around the PSNI (Police Service of Northern Ireland) headquarters before making his ecumenical visit to Clonard, on Belfast’s Falls Road.

While there, he apparently prayed with the rector of Clonard, ‘Father’ Noel Kehoe, for “peace and reconciliation”. As the Roman Catholic Church believes in offering prayers to Mary and Saints, we cannot be sure to whom these prayers were addressed.

They, of course, ought to be addressed to God in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Timothy 2:5 says: “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus”.

The arch-apostate Archbishop compounded the matter when he accepted an icon (statue) of what the Roman Catholic Church calls ‘Our Lady of Perpetual Help’, another of the many grand and blasphemous titles afforded by Rome to Mary, the mother of Jesus.

Arch-apostate Welby must not be familiar with the Second Commandment but here is what God has to say regarding the making of idols and worshipping them. It can be found in Exodus 20:4-5: “Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them”.

So, pretty straightforward, one would have thought. However, Arch-apostate Welby was evidently more than happy to receive a symbol of idolatry.

This should be no surprise to anyone who pays even a passing interest in ecclesiastical affairs, with Arch-apostate Welby having met on several previous occasions with the Pope, and is by all accounts on good terms with “that man of sin, and son of perdition”.

So much so, in fact, that on numerous occasions this week, Arch-apostate Welby has implored his followers on social media to join with the Pope in prayer.

In one such Twitter post from Thursday past, he says: “Let’s get behind the Pope’s appeal tomorrow and come together as the united body of Christ to pray for our brothers and sisters in South Sudan and DR Congo.”

He followed it up on Friday with: “Please join the Pope’s call today for prayer and fasting for peace”.

Certainly nobody can deny that peace is desirable, nor that the issues facing those in South Sudan and DR Congo should be the subject of prayer. However, joining forces with the Pope and giving credence to the corrupt organisation over which he presides is definitely not the way to go about achieving anything positive.

A great example for us to follow is that in Ezra chapter 4, where people in the surrounding area to Jerusalem offer to help the Israelites who have returned from captivity in Babylon with restoring the temple.

Whilst they claimed to be of the same religion as the Israelites, the returning Jews’ leaders, Zerubbabel and Jeshua, see through their pretence and tell them to stay well away from the work they were trying to do.

Ezra 4:1-5 says: “Now when the adversaries of Judah and Benjamin heard that the children of the captivity builded the temple unto the Lord God of Israel; Then they came to Zerubbabel, and to the chief of the fathers, and said unto them, Let us build with you: for we seek your God, as ye do ; and we do sacrifice unto him since the days of Esar-haddon king of Assur, which brought us up hither. But Zerubbabel, and Jeshua, and the rest of the chief of the fathers of Israel, said unto them, Ye have nothing to do with us to build an house unto our God; but we ourselves together will build unto the Lord God of Israel, as king Cyrus the king of Persia hath commanded us. Then the people of the land weakened the hands of the people of Judah, and troubled them in building, And hired counsellors against them, to frustrate their purpose, all the days of Cyrus king of Persia, even until the reign of Darius king of Persia.”

Joining forces with those who don’t have the advancement of God’s Kingdom at heart will not lead to success.

The true spirit of those claiming to share the religion of God’s people was soon discovered. When they realised they wouldn’t be able to hinder their work from within, they set about attacking them from without.

The Arch-apostate of Canterbury should not encourage praying alongside the Pope.

Mr Welby represents the head of the Church of Ireland, which has most of its adherents here in Ulster. We would encourage those who attend the Church of Ireland to contact those in authority in their area to make their views clear on this dreadful sell-out of Biblical Christianity.

Ephesians 5:11: “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”
