Former Presbyterian elder Lord Alderdice votes for baby murder as NINETEEN Anglican bishops sit on their hands

Psalm 139:13-16: “For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.”

Another sad chapter in the history of Northern Ireland was written this past week as ungodly abortion legislation, foisted on the people of this country against their will, was further rubber stamped by God-defying Parliamentarians at Westminster.

Sizeable majorities in both Houses of Westminster, the Commons and the Lords, voted to confirm that babies can be murdered indiscriminately in their mother’s womb up to 24 weeks of gestation.

Babies can be destroyed because of any perceived physical difficulty they may have right up to birth, including Down’s Syndrome or something as minor and easily corrected as a cleft lip, and there is no legal protection against sex-selective abortion.

Whatever way you look at it, this is a truly ghastly situation and it is hard to fathom how so many can be filled with such cruelty and inhumanity as to put their name in support of the slaughter of the unborn.

It is bad enough when those who make no claim whatsoever to any form of Christianity vote for such a wicked law, but to see those who would claim to be Christians voting in favour of it, or sitting back and failing to vote on what is literally a matter of life and death, is utterly sickening.

Yet that is exactly what former Alliance Party leader and former Presbyterian elder Lord Alderdice has done as he put his ‘aye’ to the legislation backing the indiscriminate slaughter of the children of Northern Ireland who have been considered unworthy of life by their mother.

That’s right, a man who would claim to be a Christian, voted for children to be done away with up to 24 weeks in the womb, a timeframe further on in pregnancy than many children have been reported to have survived extremely premature birth.

Lord Alderdice has also, by voting the way he has, indicated his support for murdering a child simply because they have Down’s Syndrome or even a cleft lip and has pledged his name to legislation which makes no provision to prevent sex-selective abortion.

Isn’t it utterly reprehensible?

No doubt everyone reading this will know someone with Down’s Syndrome and many of us will love someone dearly with Down’s Syndrome or some other condition which apparently makes them less worthy of life.

What do you make of a so-called Christian expressing his support for the doing away with the life of someone with this condition? What is it that makes someone with Down’s Syndrome less worthy of life in his eyes?

A young woman called Heidi Crowter has been a passionate spokesperson for those with Down’s Syndrome. She, herself, has Down’s Syndrome – how does Lord Alderdice think it makes her, and so many more like her, feel to be told her life is worth less than others? It is a vile notion.

Of course, vile notions and Lord Alderdice are not entirely divorced one from another as he supports another such vileness – that God cursed notion of homosexuality.

Indeed, it was the Presbyterian Church taking tepid actions against the facilitating of sodomy within the denomination that brought Lord Alderdice out of the woodwork and briefly back into the limelight two years ago.

The Presbyterian Church in Ireland voted, at the 2018 General Assembly, to restrict those in open same-sex relationships from full communicant membership and banned the baptism of children in the care of a same-sex couple.

Such very proper moves were all too much for the likes of Lord Alderdice, who resigned as an elder in the Presbyterian Church within a very short time of the decisions being ratified.

Never worry what the Bible has to say on the matter, Lord Alderdice’s thoughts and feelings on the matter trumped God’s inspired Word.

Some of the passages presumably redacted from Lord Alderdice’s Bible include:

Leviticus 18:22: “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.”

Romans 1:24-27: “Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.”

Matthew 19:4-6: “And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.”

1 Timothy 1:9-10: “Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine”.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10: “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.”

Jude v 7: “Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.”

That is just a few of the verses which give us a very clear steer on the matter of homosexuality and that is before we even point out that nowhere in Scripture is it even considered a possibility that a same-sex relationship was proper.

At this rate, Lord Alderdice’s Bible would have more redacted passages than a Communist government document.

His former party colleague, Alliance MP for North Down, Stephen Farry also voted in favour of baby murder when the Bill passed to the House of Commons a couple of days later for final ratification.

What do the 18,358 individuals who voted for Stephen Farry last December think of their decision now? Did they realise when they cast their vote for him that he would make his mark by adding his support to the murder of children in this country?

In addition to the despicable actions of Lord Alderdice and Stephen Farry, it is also clear that the former most senior clergyman in the Church of Ireland failed to take a stand on abortion when it came to the vote in the Lords on Monday past, 15 June.

Lord Eames (pictured, above), the former Church of Ireland Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland, has been a member of the House of Lords since 1995.

As a former very senior clergyman, one would have hoped he might be keen to take a stand against such a despicable sinful law, but, such hopes were to be dashed.

It is rather bizarre as last year he was credited with co-writing a letter opposing moves by Westminster to legalise abortion in Northern Ireland.

Lord Eames managed to find the time to vote on other matters last Monday, including voting in favour of the “Extradition (Provisional Arrest) Bill [HL] – Third Reading — Amendment 2” and “Amendment 3”, whatever they were about, according to the website, ‘They Work For You’ (which you can see for yourself by clicking here), but was apparently unable to spare a few minutes to stand up for the lives of the unborn.

How that came to happen we do not know, though we are more than happy for him to contact us or issue a public statement to clarify how this came to be the case.

After all, what use is a clergyman who fails to take a stand for that which is right?

Such actions, or indeed, inactions, are akin to the “dumb dog” condemned in the prophecy of Isaiah.

We read in Isaiah 56:10: “His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.”

Lord Eames’ vote would not have been decisive, but it is incomprehensible how he did not consider it a vitally important matter to ensure his vote was counted in the tallies opposing the planned murder of defenceless babies.

And the same can be said for 18 of the (currently 25, normally 26) so-called Lords Spiritual, Church of England bishops who sit in the House of Lords, who failed to bother to cast their vote last Monday either.

This ignoble hall of shame is occupied by Bishops David Urquhart (Birmingham), Vivienne Faull (Bristol), Stephen Cottrell (Chelmsford), Martin Warner (Chichester), Elizabeth Lane (Derby), Stephen Conway (Ely), Rachel Treweek (Gloucester), Nicholas Baines (Leeds), Christopher Lowson (Lincoln), Sarah Mullally (London, pictured, below), Christine Hardman (Newcastle), Steven Croft (Oxford), Christopher Foster (Portsmouth), James Langstaff (Rochester), Nicholas Holtam (Salisbury), Christopher Chessun (Southwark), Alan Smith (St Albans) and John Inge (Worcester).

Voting can be carried out remotely now as part of efforts to curb travel and stem the spread of coronavirus, so these bishops couldn’t even bother themselves to click a button on their computer to voice their opposition to the murder of children.

Seven bishops did vote against this wicked piece of legislation and among them was the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby. We have previously criticised him, quite, properly, for his outrageous apostasy, but praise him for at least publicly expressing his opposition to this legislation.

The other six Lords Spiritual to vote against the murder of the unborn were Julian Henderson (Blackburn), James Newcome (Carlisle), Christopher Cocksworth (Coventry), Paul Butler (Durham), Donald Allister (Peterborough) and Timothy Dakin (Winchester). We commend them all for at least taking this stand for this most basic level of decency.

The matter of abortion regulations in Northern Ireland now moves to the Assembly in Belfast and let us not give up the fight.

It is indescribably wicked that children can be done away with at the drop of a hat and we must stand against such vileness.

We fear for the judgment which will come upon this land for the slaughter of the innocent and defenceless.

We need only look at the punishment meted out by God on the land of Judah for the sin of Manasseh in shedding much innocent blood, including the ritual sacrificing of children to the pagan God, Molech.

2 Kings 21:1-2,6,12,16: “Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Hephzi-bah. And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the Lord cast out before the children of Israel. And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him to anger. Therefore thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Behold, I am bringing such evil upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whosoever heareth of it, both his ears shall tingle. Moreover Manasseh shed innocent blood very much, till he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another; beside his sin wherewith he made Judah to sin, in doing that which was evil in the sight of the Lord.”

2 Kings 24:1-4: “In his days Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up, and Jehoiakim became his servant three years: then he turned and rebelled against him. And the Lord sent against him bands of the Chaldees, and bands of the Syrians, and bands of the Moabites, and bands of the children of Ammon, and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake by his servants the prophets. Surely at the commandment of the Lord came this upon Judah, to remove them out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did; And also for the innocent blood that he shed: for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; which the Lord would not pardon.”

The Lord “would not pardon” the shedding of innocent blood brought about by Manasseh.

How can we expect God’s blessing to be poured out on our land if we have clinics set up especially to murder the unborn?

Let us do all we legally can to prevent such devilish procedures taking place in our land.

Alliance Westminster candidate rages against Bible verses being displayed in public

Psalm 2:1-4: “Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.”

The Alliance Party is very much the party of ecumenism in Northern Ireland.

Seeking to do away with religious differences in our land, steeped in the glorious good news of the gospel, is one of its key priorities.

Increasingly in recent years it has moved in a direction so far removed from anything which could conceivably be called Christian that it is hard to imagine how any professing believer could even countenance casting a vote for them.

With their support for sodomite ‘marriage’ and apparent contentment at seeing babies murdered, or, to use the euphemistic term favoured by the world, aborted, the Alliance Party is positioning itself at the front of the rage against God in our land.

This can be seen as several of its more high-profile members are open sodomites.

This includes MLA and Westminster election candidate for South Antrim, John Blair, Westminster election candidate for Upper Bann, Eoin Tennyson and Westminster election candidate for East Londonderry, Chris McCaw. The Westminster election takes place tomorrow (Thursday).

And it is the latter of these three whose rage against God we wish to bring to a wider audience.

We have been contacted by a reader of the page who has sent us a photograph of an article which appeared in the Coleraine Chronicle newspaper, based in what would be the largest town in the East Londonderry constituency which Chris McCaw (pictured, top) is contesting.

In it, he has hit out against the lawful painting of Scripture verses on a sea defence wall close to the promenade in the seaside town of Portstewart, close to Coleraine.

The verses painted on, with the permission of the local council, Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, can be seen in the aforementioned picture we received, below.

For your convenience, the verses referenced are Psalm 95:5, with the excerpt: “The sea is his, and he made it”, John 3:7, with the excerpt: “Ye must be born again” and Romans 5:8, with the excerpt: “Christ died for us”.

They are hardly very offensive verses, are they? Though of course we are reminded in 1 Peter 2:7-8 that: “Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.”

Those offended by God’s Word are “them which be disobedient” and, of course, to be a homosexual, as Chris McCaw, a member of that council is, is to be at odds with and demonstrate disobedience to God, who calls such an “abomination”.

Quoted in the article, Chris McCaw says: “I have the deepest respect for people of faith and they have every right to express their views publicly” (here is the honeyed words before the poison is injected).

“However (here we go), given the location of this message and the fact that it is located so prominently in a public place, I don’t think this is an appropriate way of expressing this point of view.”

The report further states that Councillor McCaw “would be contacting council officers on the appropriateness of the message”.

Alliance Party Westminster candidate Chris McCaw is further quoted, saying: “Messages on public property should be mindful that we live in a diverse society. We also need to remember this is a tourist area with people of various faiths or none visiting from all over the world.

“We should have an area welcoming to all and not have such prominent displays of one viewpoint, especially on public property.

“This will also feature prominently in any photos taken of Portstewart prom from that angle, which risks a diverse and moderate town being tied to one particular message.”

One of course wonders where this sodomite would consider an appropriate place for these Bible verses to be displayed?

Chris McCaw certainly betrays his true intentions when he says there should not be “such prominent displays of one viewpoint, especially on public property”.

So he would like to bring in regulation for private property too, then?

After all, he says, “especially” on public property, not “solely”, or “exclusively”, but rather leaves the door open for the preventing of any Scripture message being displayed in a public fashion from either public or private property.

Does Chris McCaw object to the parading of the filthy sodomite ‘Pride’ parades through the public streets of our cities, in Belfast, Londonderry and Newry? We highly doubt it.

Does Chris McCaw object to council offices and other public buildings being lit up in the colours of the ‘Pride’ movement or flying the ‘Pride’ flag from public buildings? We highly doubt it.

These are divisive issues, with many people of “various faiths or none” opposed to the insidious LGBT agenda.

But of course Chris McCaw is happy for such actions to be carried out supporting something cursed by God and which brought down His fiery judgment in times past.

Jude v 7 reminds us of this truth, saying: “Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.”

This is simply an example of an anti-God agenda being propagated by one who has chosen to live in open defiance of Him and His Word.

And this is but typical of the Alliance Party, which continually demonstrates its opposition to Bible-believing Christianity, which was once the foundation stone of our land and which is now being eroded by the ecumenical churches and this ecumenical party.

As we have stated before, this page does not take a stance in favour of any political party, but rather we stand, as God helps us, against religious error, compromise and against any who shake their puny fists against the almighty God of heaven.

However, we urge any who might even be vaguely considering voting in favour of the Alliance Party to remember that a vote for the Alliance Party is a vote against God.

Praise God that we are reminded in the passage at the top of this article that while “the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord”, we are encouraged with the sure and certain knowledge that “He that sitteth in the heaven shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision”.

Hallelujah, our God is still on the throne, He is sovereign in all things and He can turn again our land to Himself.

Let us pray earnestly to that end and that there would be a revival of true godliness and holiness in our land, that the blasphemies of Romanism, the apostasy of mainstream ‘Protestantism’, the confusion and delusion of charismatism and the godlessness of society would be turned on its head, caused to retreat, and that God would be exalted and magnified and central in our land once again.

21 October 2019 – a day of mourning in Ulster as abortion and sodomite marriage is foisted upon us

It is with unspeakable sorrow and grief of heart that we write this post.

In Northern Ireland, a land so gloriously blessed by God in times past, it is now legal to murder unborn infants, ripping them forcibly from the womb of their mother who has decided she simply doesn’t want them.

In Northern Ireland, a land so gloriously blessed by God in times past, it is now legal for two sodomites, whose relationship is deemed an “abomination” by God, to marry one another.

What a dreadful, sad set of circumstances we find ourselves in in this country, which has stood apart for so many years from these two grave wickednesses which have consumed so much of the so-called ‘developed world’.

This wickedness has been forced upon us by evil men and women in the corridors of power at Westminster, led by the likes of Labour MPs Stella Creasy (or Stella Greasy!) and Conor McGinn, who introduced these motions which have now become law.

The utter overthrowing of God’s Law in our land can be seen in these dreadfully sad new laws of men and women.

A last minute effort by the DUP and some others, notably some Ulster Unionists, including, to give him his dues, Maghaberry Elim deacon Robbie Butler, whom we have previously and justly criticised for his Popish compromise, and the TUV’s Jim Allister, to block abortion legislation fell by the wayside.

Sinn Fein refused to turn up to the Stormont sitting brought about by the parties and individuals named above, though it can hardly be a surprise they made no effort to block the murder of the unborn when they to this day act as principal cheerleaders for the sectarian murder campaign of the IRA. Many of their most senior members are convicted terrorists.

Also absent were the quasi-Communist People Before Profit, the Green Party, who are pro-abortion and the ecumenical party known as the Alliance Party.

Many of their senior members, including East Antrim MLA Stewart Dickson and party leader, Naomi Long, claim to be Christian yet are happy to see abortion and sodomite marriage legislation come into being in Northern Ireland, or at least didn’t bother to turn up at Stormont to try to stop it.

Indeed, the Irish News reported earlier this week that Naomi Long had “appeared to offer her support for a 24-week limit for abortions in line with Britain”.

She praised one of her party’s councillors, open sodomite Eoin Tennyson, after he stated his support for abortion up to 24 weeks. The Irish News stated she “could not be contacted for further comment” when they made efforts to reach her, which is bizarre, given she seems to live on Twitter.

As it was, they didn’t necessarily need to turn up for abortion legislation to have been blocked, but DUP efforts were stymied by incumbent Speaker, and elected DUP MLA, Robin Newton, who refused to allow business to proceed to discussing a Bill introduced by the DUP to block abortion.

This, he stated, was because a new Speaker needed to be elected on a cross-community basis, rejecting numerous efforts by DUP leader Arlene Foster and others to get the Bill through.

She and her party said they had legal advice from the Attorney General saying they could suspend Assembly rules to get the legislation through, but Robin Newton rejected this and at that point the efforts to block baby murder were doomed to fail.

Atheist political commentator Alex Kane praised Newton for sticking to his guns despite the pressure applied to him, but Robin Newton (pictured, above) is worthy only of condemnation for not using any legal means in his remit to block the murder of unborn children.

How sad a DUP MLA put the final nail in the coffin, as it were, of any efforts to prevent the unrestricted destruction of children up to 28 weeks in the womb.

A glaring omission, of course, can be seen in all this as not one voice seemed to be raised against the introduction of sodomite marriage.

Perhaps the DUP didn’t make any efforts at the Assembly as they, probably correctly, knew there was no chance of getting the necessary support to block it, but political pragmatism is no substitute for obedience to God and His Word.

The whole sorry mess does not reflect well on anyone involved and it is yet further sad evidence of the general departure from God in our land.

While we rightly bemoan the sinful laws being imposed upon us and the sinful views espoused by so many in our land, all we as Christians must reflect on ourselves in this matter.

Have we done our utmost to share the gospel to make the lost wise unto salvation?

Have we spoken a word for the Lord with those we come into contact with or carried out outreach to try to see people coming to saving faith in Christ?

Have we, as Christians, grown cold or slothful when the fields around us are white unto harvest?

How can we expect the lost to necessarily hold to our Biblical views?

Let us even see this as a catalyst to draw closer to God and strive to live a more Christ-like life and be more fervent in our evangelism and our outreach.

Let us repent of our sins and earnestly seek God’s face that he would revive our land and do a mighty work in Ulster to once again make it a bastion of Biblical Christianity.

King’s Church leader Glen Mitchell ‘hugely disappointed’ Ards Town Hall won’t be lit up for sodomite ‘Pride’

Lamentations 2:14: “Thy prophets have seen vain and foolish things for thee: and they have not discovered thine iniquity, to turn away thy captivity; but have seen for thee false burdens and causes of banishment.”

The leader of an easy-believist, charismatic church in Bangor has expressed his great disappointment that a public building in a nearby town will not be lit in the rainbow colours to honour sodomites from the borough.

Glen Mitchell, who is the lead pastor of King’s Church, based in the County Down town, took to Twitter to outline his dismay that a local council move to light up Newtownards Town Hall in a celebration of sodomy had been voted down by a majority of councillors present at the North Down and Ards Council monthly meeting for September.

Glen Mitchell has already proven his aversion to abiding by the Bible by publicly affirming his disagreement with the Biblical account of creation.

And he has further cemented his attitude by saying it was wrong not to light up a town hall in honour of those whose conduct is called an “abomination” and “against nature” by God.

Taking to Twitter to express his dismay at councillors taking a stand against the most fashionable sin of the day – sodomy – Glen Mitchell said: “Hugely disappointed by this, although unsurprised. A gesture like the one suggested threatens nothing and no one.”

He then followed this up a short time later with another tweet, referencing how professing Christians had contacted him to express “surprise” at his previous tweet, though that seems like a fairly soft response to his ludicrous comment.

Explaining himself, Glen Mitchell said that the Area and North Down “borough isn’t a church and shouldn’t be run like one”, that such “gestures build desperately needed trust and understanding between opposing groups”, before concluding his risible self-justification by saying that “Christianity thrives at the margins of society, not when it’s central”.

All three points are very weak indeed and fail to stand up to scrutiny, indeed, they barely stand up at all.

His first point that the borough “shouldn’t be run” like a church is a strange one for a supposed religious leader to make.

Surely he should want the district or borough to be run in a way that would be pleasing to God? Or should godlessness such as sodomy be allowed to run rampant in society? In fact, the pride of place sodomy takes in so many areas of modern society is largely attributable to the shameful downgrade of the standard of so-called religious leadership in our country.

The Bible says that our rulers have a responsibility to act against sinfulness and take measures to restrain it.

Romans 13:3: “For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil.”

Not only that, but we have an example given to us in Judges for our instruction as to the consequences of a lack of leadership.

Judges 18:7, 27-28: “Then the five men departed, and came to Laish, and saw the people that were therein, how they dwelt careless, after the manner of the Zidonians, quiet and secure; and there was no magistrate in the land, that might put them to shame in any thing; and they were far from the Zidonians, and had no business with any man. And they took the things which Micah had made, and the priest which he had, and came unto Laish, unto a people that were at quiet and secure: and they smote them with the edge of the sword, and burnt the city with fire. And there was no deliverer, because it was far from Zidon, and they had no business with any man; and it was in the valley that lieth by Beth-rehob. And they built a city, and dwelt therein.”

The people of Laish “dwelt careless” and “there was no magistrate in the land, that might put them to shame in any thing”.

This was a land which had nobody to enforce the laws of good and evil on its people, everyone was allowed to do as they pleased.

They took no measures to protect themselves, their city was not well guarded, they had no alliances with any of the peoples living nearby, and look at the consequences, they were easily routed and destroyed.

Leadership needs to be strong and pleasing to God, and indeed Glen Mitchell appears to want the members of that council to go against their own beliefs and vote for something which is gravely displeasing to God.

Acts 5:29 tells us of the danger of such a move. It says: “Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.”

Glen Mitchell seemingly wants those councillors to obey men rather than God. What a sad position to occupy.

His second point that lighting up the council building in honour of sodomy is equally misinformed, though we give him some credit for pointing out that Christianity and sodomy are opposing positions.

Luke 16:13 outlines that. It says: “No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”

However, to say that Glen Mitchell shows a misguided attitude is an understatement.

The Bible flatly condemns homosexuality, this is an issue we have covered on many occasions and readers are invited to look at Romans 1:22-27 and Leviticus 18:22 to get a flavour of God’s rejection of such conduct.

Christians ought not to be coming to terms with homosexuality but rather should be constant in pointing out not only that God rejects it, but that salvation is freely available to the homosexual, if they would, as every other sinner, which is all of us, turn from their sin.

2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us that when we are saved we are changed. It says: “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

We are not to compromise with sin, but rather to reprove it and implore those who are unsaved to turn from it.

However, Glen Mitchell is pursuing a line of thought which seeks to encourage the cause of sodomy, which is rebellion against God.

His third reason for his unscriptural stance is perhaps the weakest of all, saying that Christianity thrives when on the margins.

What type of Christian wouldn’t want Christianity to be at the very centre of our society and civil and public life?

What type of Christian wouldn’t want the majority of the people in society to be saved and using whatever position they have to better advance the cause of Christ?

What type of Christian wouldn’t want elected representatives to defend the cause of Christ publicly?

Instead, he chooses to attack those, no doubt many of them professing Christians, who took a stand for the teachings of the Bible.

Proverbs 14:34 reminds us that a country is lifted high when it follows God. It says: “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.”

Why would Glen Mitchell not want the nation to be exalted?

When countries departed from God, that was when judgment came. One must only read the book of Judges to see the repeated story of Israel departing from God and then falling into the hands of their enemies to see that illustrated clearly.

Northern Ireland is suffering today because of sin, both from our religious leaders and our political leaders.

You have the leaders of the Church of Ireland and Irish Presbyterianism, the two largest so-called Protestant churches, meeting the Pope and engaging in all manner of ecumenical compromise.

And you have the leader of political unionism, Arlene Foster, speaking at a sodomite event in Belfast and compromising with Islam.

You have not one professing Christian willing to back Jim Allister of the TUV when he stood against sodomite pardons being introduced in Northern Ireland, be they from the DUP, UUP or the Alliance Party.

Indeed, the Alliance Party, many of whose members claim to be Christians, including their leader Naomi Long, were the ones who brought this motion before the Ards and North Down Council.

What a sorry state our land is in and Glen Mitchell is encouraging another retrograde step be taken? What a shameful attitude.

His comment reeks of the nonsensical guff often propagated by such easy-believists and charismatics who like to talk about religion being “radical” and “counter-cultural”, trying to make it sound like some sort of hipster minority interest.

Pleading forgiveness of God, righteous living and faithful adhering to and preaching of the Bible from our religious leaders, political leaders and ordinary Christians are the route to revival.

If that is achieved, then God will be central in our land, and not confined to the margins.

Let us devote ourselves afresh to God, to pleasing Him and pray He will bless our land once more with revival.

2 Chronicles 7:14: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

Presbyterian quitter Lord Alderdice endorses pro LGBT Non-Subscribing Church

Back in June, we focused on the Presbyterian Church in Ireland taking some very minor, but positive, steps with regards their acceptance of sodomy in the church.

These included barring full communicant membership to homosexuals and not permitting the baptism of children in the care of same-sex couples, as well as loosening ties with their sister church, the Church of Scotland, due to its endorsement of sodomite marriage.

As we commented at the time, this was a case where the Presbyterian Church was ambling a few yards back down the road of compromise when they should have been running a marathon back down it.

In any case, it was all too much for soppy modernists like (Lord) John Alderdice, former leader of the ecumenical Alliance Party and, until the decision by the General Assembly, an elder in the Presbyterian Church.

He resigned his position of authority in protest at the resolutions made by the church, and was very vocal in doing so, as he is, of course, entitled to do.

However, he cannot pretend that such moves are in any way compatible with the teaching of the Bible, but rather he is simply following the precepts of man.

And in a further demonstration of his utter rejection of God’s Word, on Sunday past, Lord Alderdice was the guest speaker in the sodomite ‘pride’ supporting and ‘LGBT affirming’ All Souls Non-Subscribing Presbyterian Church in Belfast, which you can read about by clicking here.

This is the church which hosts an annual ‘Pride service’ on the weekend of the sodomite parade through Belfast, and which hosts an annual ‘transgender day of remembrance’, two utterly unbiblical events.

Of course, it is precisely because of Lord Alderdice’s anti-Christian views regarding sodomy that he has been invited to speak in All Souls Non-Subscribing Presbyterian Church. Were Lord Alderdice in support of the Irish Presbyterian Church’s stance, he would certainly not be invited to such a haven of apostasy and most certainly wouldn’t entertain the notion of going near such.

In addition, leaving to one side its utterly disgraceful attitude to sodomy, the Non-Subscribing Presbyterian Church is a unitarian church, meaning it rejects the precious doctrine of the Trinity of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost.

They deny that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and God the Son, thereby they take away the Bible’s method of salvation through faith alone in Jesus Christ.

And this is what God’s Word has to say about those who reject Christ as the Son of God.

1 John 2:22-23: “Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.”

John also discusses this theme in 2 John v 9: “Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.”

Someone who does not believe in Christ as God the Son cannot abide in the doctrine of Christ, they have consciously rejected it, yet this is the type of church that Lord Alderdice, who until very recently had responsibility as a spiritual overseer for many souls, is fellowshipping with and choosing to endorse.

We will remind Lord Alderdice of the Westminster Confession of Faith, which he vowed he believed and promised to uphold at his installation as an elder.

It says in Chapter 2, Paragraph 3: “In the unity of the Godhead there be three Persons of one substance, power and eternity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. The Father is of none, neither begotten nor proceeding; the Son is eternally proceeding from the Father and the Son.”

What does Lord Alderdice think of this now? Does he actually believe in the Trinity? If not, did he ever believe in it or when did he stop believing in it? If he does believe in the Trinity, then what is he doing as a special guest speaker in a church which outright rejects that very crucial doctrine?

Salvation comes through Christ. This is abundantly clear through Scripture.

Peter, addressing the Jews, said in Acts 4:10-12: “Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

There is “none other name” but that of Christ which can save us from a lost eternity in hell.

When you remove Christ then you remove salvation. This is the root of the apostasy of all unitarian churches and, once that is achieved, all manner of other evils can spring forth.

The passage we refer to shows that we MUST be saved and we can do it no other way but through Jesus, therefore All Souls Non-Subscribing Presbyterian Church denies the basic message of salvation.

And Lord Alderdice is giving credence to and endorsing such a blasphemous church by addressing a meeting there.

We repeat the statement we made back in June – the Presbyterian Church in Ireland can only benefit from the absence of the likes of Lord Alderdice.

Being invited to a Christ denying church which endorses sodomy shows that Lord Alderdice is prioritising backing that which is called an “abomination” in the Scripture (Leviticus 18:22) over the salvation of lost souls.

What an appalling situation.

Certainly the homosexual must be evangelised, but this is emphatically not what happens in All Souls Non-Subscribing Presbyterian Church, whose minister, Rev Chris Hudson (pictured, below), is a ‘transgender champion’.

This church openly endorses and “affirms” sodomy as not only acceptable but admirable. One need only scroll through their facebook page to get that message loud and clear.

In All Souls Non-Subscribing Presbyterian Church, homosexuality is not considered a sin.

Alas for them, the Bible says otherwise.

Romans 1:26-27: “For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.”

Hallelujah, however, salvation is available to homosexuals as is clearly outlined in 1 Corinthians 6:9-11.

It says: “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.”

The “effeminate” and “abusers of themselves with mankind” had been saved in Corinth and they can be saved in Belfast, Londonderry, Enniskillen, Ireland, UK, USA, Canada, Australia, anywhere in the world.

Let us pray for those whose sexuality diverges from God’s established plan for mankind, that they might be saved, rather than encouraging them on in their sin like the Rev Chris Hudsons and the Lord Alderdices of this world.

2 Peter 3:9: “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
