Ballymena a town beset with charismatic deceit as new Mid Antrim Vineyard church is founded

Jeremiah 12:10: “Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness.”

No doubt most readers will be familiar with the old saying, it never rains but it pours.

It essentially means that unwelcome occurrences come thick and fast one after the other or all at the same time.

And one might apply that to Ballymena in County Antrim, a town already troubled by the charismatic, Wrightbus-linked Green Pastures Church and now faced with a new church in a similar, shallow, easy-believist vein.

That church is Mid Antrim Vineyard, formed out of the extremely troubling Causeway Coast Vineyard church, based in Coleraine on the north coast of Northern Ireland.

It will be ran by Hugh and Alyson Reid (pictured, top), who have apparently been part of Causeway Coast Vineyard for the past 10 years and live in the Ballymena area.

As we have discussed on numerous occasions, anything associated with Causeway Coast Vineyard, or indeed the Vineyard movement in general, ought to be treated with the utmost of caution.

Infamously, the former lead pastor of Causeway Coast Vineyard, Alan Scott (pictured, below), told his sadly credulous followers when speaking at Causeway Coast Vineyard that he was “all in” with the Pope and poured scorn on the notion one could be opposed to the worship of Mary through the rosary, a dreadful Romish blasphemy and deceit.

Was he swiftly ejected from the pulpit (well, stage, pulpits are terribly old fashioned don’t you know?) and told in no uncertain terms such Christ-denying blasphemy would not be tolerated?

Of course not – he continued without fear of reproach before he got a big move to sunny California to take over at Anaheim Vineyard.

One of the key figures in Causeway Coast Vineyard is Peter Lynas, a hardened and determined ecumenist who has rightly earned the moniker, ‘Papist’ Peter Lynas.

Causeway Coast Vineyard’s lead pastors currently are husband and wife duo (that much-beloved combination of so many charismatic fellowships) Neil and Janet Young (1 Timothy 2:11-12, pictured, below) and Neil Young, as we have previously referred to, has something of a penchant for quoting Romanists on his Twitter page.

And back in May this year, Causeway Coast Vineyard held their ‘Encounter More’ conference, with two of the headline attractions being representatives of that awful, heretical US based megachurch, Bethel Ministries.

They were Jeremy Riddle, a leading character in the Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) scene, and Havilah Cunnington, a self-proclaimed prophet who is anything but. You can read about her ludicrous ‘prophecy’ by clicking here.

Causeway Coast Vineyard had further Bethel representatives present at their services in April on the same weekend that heretical organisation held a conference organised by Journey Community Church in Antrim.

Bethel Ministries is linked with all sorts of bizarre, outrageous practices and beliefs and is corrosive to any who come in contact with it.

From encouraging students at its ‘Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry’ going to a morgue to try to raise people from the dead to claiming God manifests Himself at their meetings through the medium of gold dust and feathers, it is plain to see this is a church which does not over burden itself with acquainting itself with the Word of God.

Throw into the mix the disputed claims of ‘grave sucking’ and the promotion of extra biblical revelation, and you have a church which is fearfully at odds with God’s Word.

But Causeway Coast Vineyard, which Hugh and Alyson Reid have been attending and leading small groups in throughout all of these blasphemes, was trumpeting these characters as wonderful examples to follow.

Also featuring at that conference were ABBA ‘prayer dancing’ and Rome supporting Pete Greig and another big fan of compromise with Romish blasphemies, Mike Pilavachi (pictured, below).

So anyone attending Mid Antrim Vineyard will be going to meetings ran by people who are happy to promote and be linked with a church which promotes heretics, false prophets and Romish compromisers.

We said at the start it never rains but it pours, and this is a veritable deluge of devilish deceits on offer.

Another very practical concern is over Hugh and Alyson Reid, the couple (there you are again!) who are taking on this new venture, which held its first service on 3 November.

Are they theologically trained? What qualifications do they have to be shepherds of what they would consider to be God’s flock (and no doubt there may well be some truly born again among it)?

This is the problem with so many of these charismatic, fellowship type churches. Of course, many training colleges are to be studiously avoided rather than studied at, but are these just enthusiastic individuals who have taken it upon themselves to have the spiritual oversight of, possibly, hundreds of souls?

There is a fine example of the setting up of, essentially, any old individual to be a priest or pastor and the fruitlessness of such in the book of Judges.

Judges 17:7-8, 10, 12-13 says: “And there was a young man out of Beth-lehem-judah of the family of Judah, who was a Levite, and he sojourned there. And the man departed out of the city from Beth-lehem-judah to sojourn where he could find a place: and he came to mount Ephraim to the house of Micah, as he journeyed. And Micah said unto him, Dwell with me, and be unto me a father and a priest, and I will give thee ten shekels of silver by the year, and a suit of apparel, and thy victuals. So the Levite went in. And Micah consecrated the Levite; and the young man became his priest, and was in the house of Micah. Then said Micah, Now know I that the Lord will do me good, seeing I have a Levite to my priest.”

What was the qualification of this man to be a priest to Micah? Simply that he was a Levite.

Did it matter that he was not qualified for the role and was happy to serve in a house where idols were set up? Not to them, it didn’t.

What are the qualifications of these set up as pastors here in Mid Antrim Vineyard? The fact they call themselves Christian?

The instability of such a situation was quickly exposed in the next chapter when this Levite, receiving a better offer, dropped Micah like a hot potato and took the false idols with him.

We have referred to enthusiasm and we do not dispute the genuine nature of Hugh and Alyson Reid’s efforts, and we would ask readers to pray for them that they might be awakened to the grave errors in the Vineyard movement, which go right to its roots, and reject such charismatic deceptions.

Likewise, we must also pray that such efforts, in their current guise, will not take off and instead that Ballymena, already having the similar charismatic deceptions of Green Pastures inflicted upon it, would experience a tremendous heaven-sent revival and not a revival which exists solely in the imaginations of those running such churches.

Let that also be our prayer for the rest of Northern Ireland, that God would move in mighty power throughout our country and bring great times of refreshing to this land.

Let us not be carried away by the lights and music of the charismatic delusion, but let us firmly set our eyes upon Christ, serious study of His Word and dedication to living a holy, righteous, sanctified life.

Acts 3:19: “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord”.

‘Encounter More’ heretics as Bethel Ministries take centre stage at Causeway Coast Vineyard conference

The Causeway Coast Vineyard Church, based in Coleraine on the north coast of Northern Ireland, is hosting a conference later this month featuring representatives of the anti-Christian Bethel Movement, as well as other Bible rejecting speakers.

Some of the leading figures of Bethel Church, which, in the light of God’s Word falls well short of that which is commendable or acceptable, will be taking part in the three day conference, running from Thursday, 23 to Saturday, 25 May.

The Bethel Movement is a frankly outrageous church, whose manifold blasphemies are so obvious it is hard to imagine any true child of God being taken in by them.

From encouraging students at its ‘Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry’ going to a morgue to try to raise people from the dead (yes, you read that correctly) to claiming God manifests Himself at their meetings through the medium of gold dust and feathers (yes, you also read that correctly), it is plain to see this is a church which does not over burden itself with acquainting itself with the Word of God.

Throw into the mix the disputed claims of ‘grave sucking’ and the promotion of extra biblical revelation, and you have a church which is fearfully at odds with God’s Word.

While Bill Johnson, the leader of Bethel, denies the ‘grave sucking’ claims, this is what he wrote in his book, ‘The Physics of Heaven’.

He said: “There are anointings, mantles, revelations and mysteries that have lain unclaimed, literally where they were left, because the generation that walked in them never passed them on. I believe it’s possible for us to recover realms of anointing, realms of insight, realms of God that have been untended for decades simply by choosing to reclaim them and perpetuate them for future generations.”

Now where exactly does Bill Johnson get this belief from? It’s not from the Bible, anyway.

It must be from his own imagination, he has not troubled himself to study what the Word of God has to say.

This attitude can be summed up quite neatly in the words of Jeremiah 23:16-18, which read: “Thus saith the Lord of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the Lord. They say still unto them that despise me, The Lord hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you. For who hath stood in the counsel of the Lord, and hath perceived and heard his word? who hath marked his word, and heard it?”

Does not the like of Bethel preach an endlessly positive message, telling everyone in attendance how great God thinks they are and what big plans He has for each of their lives? It doesn’t matter whether they’re truly saved or not, they’ll still be getting this message of peace and “radical” or “reckless” love from the motivational speaker, sorry, preacher, up at the front.

Now, does Causeway Coast Vineyard Church believe “anointings, mantles, revelations and mysteries have lain unclaimed” because the dead didn’t pass them on before they breathed their last?

Do they? If so, they should admit they agree with this pagan belief and, if not, why on earth are they inviting such heretics to their church?

The lead pastors at Causeway Coast Vineyard Church are husband and wife duo, Neil and Janet Young (pictured, above) (1 Timothy 2:11-12). Its associate pastor is Tre Sheppard.

Do they believe this?

How about another of that church’s leading figures, ‘Papist’ Peter Lynas (pictured, below), a brazen, determined ecumenist who is leader of the allegedly Evangelical Alliance?

Does ‘Papist’ Peter Lynas believe this? He is more than welcome to contact us on our Facebook page to clarify his position. He has been fond in the past of contacting our page but always seems to lose interest in speaking when directly confronted with and questioned about his ecumenical compromise. You can read about his ecumenical antics by clicking here.

The Bethel representatives to descend on Coleraine in just under two weeks’ time are Havilah Cunnington (pictured, top) and Jeremy Riddle.

One of the key weapons of intoxication utilised by Bethel is that of Contemporary Christian Music (CCM), which they use to appeal to the senses, and Jeremy Riddle is a leading figure in this movement.

Interestingly, he was formerly associated with the Anaheim Vineyard Church, which just so happens to be where the former lead pastor of Causeway Coast Vineyard Church, Alan Scott, is now spreading his ungodly gospel.

Regular readers may remember Alan Scott is the one who, while at Causeway Coast Vineyard Church, said he was “all in” with the Pope and made light of the blasphemous Romish practice of Mariolatry. You can read about that by clicking here.

Havilah Cunnington, meanwhile, is apparently a preacher, showing, like Janet Young of Causeway Coast Vineyard Church, her utter disregard for the Word of God, which prohibits women preachers, despite what lies Bible twisters try to come up with to claim to the contrary.

1 Timothy 2:11-12 says: “Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.”

Havilah Cunnington apparently offers a “Prophetic Personalities” course, in which she “teach[es] on four types of prophetic gifts, unleashing you into a bold life of hearing from Heaven.”

For just $49 (it’s amazing how these things are so much more expensive than salvation, which is free) you will also receive “added bonuses” such as a “Deep Dive Cheatsheet for each Personality Type, 30 days of Activations, Private Q&A for Students and Private Facebook Community.”

Where do we sign up?

Havilah Cunnington claims to be a prophet, and here is an example of her “prophecy” from a YouTube clip called “The Trash Can”, which, incidentally, is where we would recommend as the best place for any of her offerings.

“There is (sic) some of you in this season right now where you have been birthing something, and I’m going to say this prophetically over you and just look at me for a minute because I just believe this is going to go straight to your spirit.

“Some of you have been birthing something and you have spent years birthing it and you’re in a season where you’re like, ‘I don’t want to do this any more’.

“I remember this very clearly, two and a half… (corrects herself, maybe not so clearly!) three years ago, I was sitting in my living room and I was crying, I was saying, ‘God, I don’t want to do this any more, I don’t know what’s going on, but I’m not sure I can do this any more. I’m carrying this dream within me to do more and my life is so hidden, it’s so not what I was hoping it would be’.

“And there’s a season of transition where if we will hold on and do what we were created to do, which is birth God’s dreams, listen, you were created to birth God’s dreams.

“Your spirit will tell you what to do, just like your body will tell you what to do. I’m saying to you, look at me, trust your spirit. Your spirit knows how to birth the things God’s put within you.”

That certainly puts Elijah, Isaiah, Hosea et al in the shade, doesn’t it?

We were created to “birth God’s dreams”?

God has a divine will for each of His children, but where does she get the idea that God has dreams?

God fulfils His will, He doesn’t sit about hoping Havilah Cunnington or some of her poor deluded disciples will do Him a big favour and help Him fulfil these dreams or aspirations.

God ensures His will will be done, regardless of the devices of men.

As for Havilah Cunnington’s “prophecy”, it amounts to nothing more than what one might expect from a fortune teller or a horoscope, speaking in such vague generalities.

“Some of you have been birthing something” is her great prophetic revelation.

Were these the sort of prophesies recorded in the Bible?

Let’s look at some of the prophesies regarding the Lord Jesus Christ within Scripture.

Jesus’ birthplace was prophesied.

Micah 5:2: “But thou, Beth-lehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.”

The Bible itself attests, through Micah, that Bethlehem is one of thousands of areas where Jesus could have been born, but it was prophesied He would be born there.

Jesus’ earthly lineage was prophesied.

Isaiah 11:1: “And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots…”

The prophet Isaiah said that Jesus would come of the line of Jesse, from the line of King David.

The price of Jesus’ betrayal was prophesied.

Zechariah 11:12: “And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver.”

Zechariah prophesied that Jesus would be betrayed for thirty pieces of silver.

These are all specific things, aren’t they?

Micah, Isaiah or Zechariah didn’t say, “God has told me at some point in the future a man will come and do great things”, they said that Jesus would come to this earth, born in a specific tiny village, a descendant of David and he would be betrayed for a very specific amount of money.

They didn’t deal in vague generalities and they didn’t tell everyone they could be a prophet too if they bought a ‘how to’ manual for 49 shekels.

We trust, dear reader, this highlights how far removed Bethel Ministries and its speakers are from proper Biblical truth, and we would implore you to share this widely to help warn people off from going to this dreadful conference of rank apostasy.

And, if you are planning to attend this conference, won’t you even reconsider and pray to God that He will bring to your realisation how such an event is so far removed from being honouring to Him that it is actually outright offensive to Him.

For any reader, we would ask you to pray that such movements would be brought to nought and that such venues of false worship would be cast down and replaced with churches where God is truly lifted up and exalted.

Heretical Bethel welcomed into Causeway Coast Vineyard

Acts 20:28-30: “Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.”

Last week, we highlighted a conference organised by Journey Community Church in Antrim featuring leading figures in the Bethel Ministries movement.

The ‘Kingdom Come’ conference was held at Glenmachan Church of God in east Belfast and featured notable characters within Bethel such as Eric Johnson, Chris Cruz and Kristene Di Marco.

We also highlighted some of the outrageous beliefs taught by Bethel, quoting its leading figures espousing them.

This included extra-biblical revelation, attempting to raise people from the dead and the disputed practice of ‘grave sucking’, which Bethel leader Bill Johnson described as “anointings, mantles, revelations and mysteries that have lain unclaimed, literally where they were left, because the generation that walked in them never passed them on”.

Bizarrely, and sadly, this wasn’t enough to convince some of those who visited the facebook page connected with this page of the dangers of Bethel.

However, the fact remains that Bethel Ministries is a church and movement which ought to be shunned and repudiated by any true child of God.

Sadly, rejecting and remaining separate from that which is offensive to God is not a strong suit of Causeway Coast Vineyard Church, based in Coleraine, County Londonderry on the north coast of Northern Ireland, who promptly invited Bethel to their Sunday services immediately after the conference ended.

Indeed, Causeway Coast Vineyard Church is not only associated with that which is offensive to God, but it has shown itself to be part of the problem by the characters it associates with.

Its former lead pastor, Alan Scott (pictured, above), now slumming it in a Vineyard Church in sunny California, said in a service at Causeway Coast Vineyard that he was “all in” with the Pope.

Peter Lynas, leader of the Evangelical Alliance in Northern Ireland and a leading figure in Causeway Coast Vineyard, has repeatedly acted in a way which, in the light of God’s Word, is highly questionable.

Peter Lynas endorsed so-called Protestants running down to Dublin to cower before the Pope and criticised all who dared to speak out against such rank rejection of the Word of God.

Peter Lynas eulogised the ecumenical evangelist Billy Graham at his passing, despite the fact Billy Graham instructed poor lost Roman Catholics seeking the way of salvation back into the clutches of Rome.

Peter Lynas described the likes of a Romanist Benedictine monk, Mark Ephrem-Nolan and ardent ecumenists such as Church of Ireland Bishop of Derry and Raphoe, Ken (No) Good as “incredible company” when speaking at the same Church of Ireland Clergy Conference as the pair specified and other unimpressive characters.

Peter Lynas described those who seek to take a stand against ecumenism as being guilty of “residual bigotry”.

Peter Lynas, as head of the Evangelical Alliance, has refused to take a stand against Biblical creation denier Glen Mitchell’s church, King’s Church in Bangor and Jesuit promoter Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson’s church, Emmanuel Church in the Craigavon area, being members of that organisation.

Peter Lynas compounded this by then being filmed alongside Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson (the pair are pictured together, below) in promoting a prayer event being ran by 24-7 Prayer Ireland, which Alain Emerson heads up. This organisation’s overall leader, Pete Greig, is a rampant ecumenist who has been advising the Roman Catholic Church on how to lure more people in.

And, just the day after Bethel Ministries finished their ‘Kingdom Come’ conference under the auspices of Journey Community Church in Antrim, they were taking both Sunday meetings at Causeway Coast Vineyard Church.

Eric Johnson, one of the senior pastors at Bethel, who claims to have been called to the ministry by a charismatic leader placing a finger on his head (you can hear his account of this by clicking here), spoke at the morning meeting.

The evening meeting was led by Chris Cruz, the Young Adults Pastor at Bethel Ministries.

Bethel’s arrival at Causeway Coast Vineyard was greeted with great enthusiasm on their social media outlets, demonstrating very clearly their support for such God-defiance as that demonstrated by Bethel.

So many churches are giving room to such movements as Bethel.

This is something which was foretold by the Apostle Paul, under the inspiration of God, when writing to Timothy.

It says in 1 Timothy 4:1: “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils”.

There can be little doubt that such gatherings, where individuals are falling over, convulsing on the floor, laughing hysterically and flat out unconscious, are “giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils”.

There is certainly nothing of Christ in that.

Such churches like to make much of the Holy Spirit.

That’s fine surely, isn’t it? It certainly is, the Holy Spirit is one person of the Trinity, but they make things of the Holy Spirit which are simply not part of the Bible.

Where in the Bible is there mentioned laughing uncontrollably under the influence of the Holy Spirit? Where is there mentioned all manner of riotous behaviour being carried out under the influence of the Holy Spirit?

There is none, it simply isn’t there.

Furthermore, this over emphasis on the Holy Spirit is non-Scriptural.

The role of the Holy Spirit is to lead people to Christ and to glorify Him.

John 16:13-14 says: “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.”

The Holy Spirit doesn’t strive to bring attention to Himself, but rather to bring attention to Christ.

Being determined to be so filled with the Holy Spirit that you are falling over and laughing like a hyena is a sad corruption of God’s Word.

And, of course, these people are not filled with the Holy Spirit.

The Bible shows us what being filled with the Holy Spirit looks like.

Acts 6:3 says: “Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.”

It would be hard for Stephen or the other deacons to have shown much wisdom if they were writhing around on the floor, wouldn’t it? And we can’t imagine they would have been able to look after any business within the church whilst laughing uncontrollably.

Micah 3:8 says: “But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the Lord, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.”

Micah, the servant of God, was full of the Holy Spirit and was able to show judgment and point out the sins of the Israelites.

The charismatic movement is notable for its “judge not” approach, showing its biblical illiteracy. Ironically, they turn their “judge not” approach into a form of a holier than thou contest to be the least judging type of person. No wonder so many heretics have been allowed to creep in when you daren’t speak out against them.

There is the example of Paul, being filled with the Holy Ghost in Acts 13, reproving Barjesus for trying to turn Sergius Paulus away from the true gospel.

Did Paul writhe around on the floor barking like a dog or laughing like a hyena? Absolutely not.

He spoke sensibly and clearly, saying in verse 10: “O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?”

Paul was very firm, blunt and clear in his speaking out against workers of error.

Could we not say in this day and generation, to the likes of Bethel Ministries and Causeway Coast Vineyard, “wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?”

There is an endless stream of God-defiance coming out of Causeway Coast Vineyard.

Eventually, this will lead to judgment.

God has promised this.

On numerous occasions we have highlighted the errors of Causeway Coast Vineyard and yet it appears to be falling on deaf ears

We will just leave Peter Lynas, Causeway Coast Vineyard Church and Bethel Ministries with this word of warning from God’s Word.

Proverbs 29:1: “He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.”

If you or anyone you know is still involved with this church and you truly love the Lord, then won’t you separate yourself now and take a stand for Christ.

Revelation 18:4-5: “And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.”

And if you have not truly come to God in repentance for your sins, won’t you please do it even now, wherever you are. Whether you are at work, sitting on the sofa watching TV, lying in your bed, out for a walk, wherever you are, won’t you put your faith and trust in Christ for salvation and leave aside all the sideshows of these churches.

2 Corinthians 6:2: “…behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”

‘Papist’ Peter Lynas welcomes Rome-loving charismatic Mike Pilavachi to Causeway Coast Vineyard

A well-known charismatic preacher and keen enthusiast of ecumenical fellowshipping with the blasphemous Roman Catholic system is to be the guest of honour tomorrow (Sunday) at Causeway Coast Vineyard.

Mike Pilavachi, who runs the charismatic, ecumenical ‘Soul Survivor’ church in England, is to take the stage at the church which is backed by the leader of the Evangelical Alliance, ‘Papist’ Peter Lynas.

Back in May, Mike Pilavachi was one of the main speakers at the main celebration in London of the brazenly ecumenical and Romish blasphemy embracing ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ prayer initiative.

The event was originally conceived by the Arch-apostate (though he probably prefers Archbishop) of Canterbury, Justin Welby, so one can be sure of the rotten roots of that event. The picture below shows Mike Pilavachi with the Arch-apostate of Canterbury and Bishop Michael Curry, the American apostate who preached at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Indeed, for that event, which Mike Pilavachi enthusiastically endorsed and which is designed for all denominations of so-called Christians, including Roman Catholic, there was devised a booklet entitled ‘Journey With Mary’.

It is described as being “for those who have a devotion to Our Lady to pray ‘Thy Kingdom Come’. It is a guide to praying with Mary for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit”.

Indeed, during the 11 days of the ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ initiative, there were daily devotionals from the Arch-apostate of Canterbury and Cardinal Vincent Nichols, the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Westminster.

What a ghastly mess it is, but there was Mike Pilavachi up on stage beside that Arch-apostate Justin Welby back in May giving the whole God-defying event his blessing.

And tomorrow he’ll be spreading his message of easy-believist ecumenical claptrap to the north coast area of Northern Ireland.

We’ll just remind Mike Pilavachi and indeed ‘Papist’ Peter Lynas of what the Bible has to say about the Papal blasphemy of prayer to Mary.

1 Timothy 2:5: “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus”.

Hebrews 7:25 says: “Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.”

So Jesus is the “one mediator” between God and men, He “ever liveth to make intercession” for us and we are saved by coming to God through Christ.

There’s not one verse of Scripture to justify the worship of, or prayer to Mary.

So why are Mike Pilavachi and ‘Papist’ Peter Lynas happy to associate themselves with such blasphemies?

That is, of course, a question for both men to answer, and we would encourage readers to pose it to them.

Another question for Mike Pilavachi would be to ask him why he was preaching to what he describes himself as “Catholic charismatics” in Malta back in 2011?

He tweeted (and we picture the tweet below) on 2nd July, 2011, the following: “Blown away by the Catholic charismatics in Malta. Such a love for Jesus and openness to his Spirit”.

Before any members of the pedantry brigade proffer the risible excuse that he was trying to convert these Roman Catholics, we would advise them to look at the tweet again.

He was impressed by the Roman Catholics’ public expression of religion. He was happy to call them Catholics, so he saw no need for them to change their religion.

This is despite the Roman Catholic faith being filled to the brim with lies and deceits.

We have listed them on so many occasions, yet the message sadly still appears to have failed to get through to many who read this page.

We have mentioned the worship of Mary already, but the main issue is the fact that Rome refuses to teach the Biblical way to be right with God, which is by faith ALONE.

Not only does Rome refuse to teach that, adding on its own grubby laws of sacramental merit, it pronounces its curses to this day on any who teach salvation by faith alone.

Their teaching is an outright rejection of God and His Word.

Ephesians 2:8-9 says: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Titus 3:5 says: “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost”.

But Mike Pilavachi, happy to endorse or at least turn a blind eye to this spiritual wretchedness, will be the star turn at Causeway Coast Vineyard and ‘Papist’ Peter Lynas has stated on his Twitter page that he is “looking forward to this”.

Of course, ‘Papist’ Peter Lynas has an ever-lengthening ecumenical rap sheet, which includes eulogising the ecumenical evangelist Billy Graham, who told Roman Catholics coming forward for spiritual guidance to return to the evil clutches of Rome.

Not only that, he stated his support for compromising alleged Protestants running down to Dublin to do obeisance to the Pope and he gave his enthusiastic backing to the ecumenical ‘Healing The Land’ prayer initiative.

And the former pastor of his Causeway Coast Vineyard church in Coleraine, Alan Scott, who oddly enough is praised to no end in a recent tweet by Mike Pilavachi, said he was “all in” with the Pope in a meeting at Causeway Coast Vineyard.

Dear reader, please do not be deceived by the smooth words and attractive to the senses approach of such speakers and such movements.

1 John 4:1: “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.”

Jeremiah 5:31: “The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?”

Many people like to hear the endlessly positive message of the Vineyard Church, Mike Pilavachi and many others.

They don’t want to hear about the depravity of their sin, of their wretchedness before God, of the certain judgment and lost eternity in hell for those who don’t truly repent of their sin.

Instead, they love the message that tells them of what big plans God has for their lives, how they were “made for so much more” and other generic, empty statements designed to appeal to our ego and excite our emotions, which amount to the religious equivalent of a fortune cookie.

Look to God for His Word to us, not to some charismatic who tells a collection of funny stories, teaches a life lesson and draws a verse out of the air and out of context to give an air of God’s authority to their ramblings.

2 Timothy 2:15-16: “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.”

24-7 Prayer leader Pete Greig helping Roman Catholic Church lure more people in

Leading charismatic figure Pete Greig, a friend of ecumenical groups such as the Emmanuel Church in the Craigavon area and Causeway Coast Vineyard in Coleraine, has spoken in a Romanist chapel to help advise the Roman Catholic Church how to lure more people back into its clutches.

Pete Greig (pictured, top) is a leading figure in the organisation 24-7 Prayer, an ecumenical initiative openly and unashamedly promoting ecumenical compromise with Rome.

This is the same organisation which Emmanuel lead pastor Alain Emerson heads up in Ireland, something we previously focused on when highlighting Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson promoting the ecumenical ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ prayer initiative, which has the backing of the Pope, under the auspices of 24-7 Prayer Ireland.

Indeed, Pete Greig was one of the ‘celebrity’ speakers at Emmanuel Church’s recent ‘Tobar’ Conference.

And just a few weeks ago, Pete Greig was addressing the diocesan assembly of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Vienna held in St Stephen’s Roman Catholic Cathedral in the Austrian capital.

This was reported on the Roman Catholic news outlet, ‘The Tablet’.

He had been invited at the behest of the Roman Catholic cardinal, Christoph Schonborn, who told the same conference that ecumenical dialogue with churches like those represented by Pete Greig was “imperative”.

The day previously, Pete Greig had been the main speaker at the assembly.

Tweeting afterwards, he said: “Truly wonderful time in Vienna addressing 1,700 bishops, nuns, priests, laity from every church in the Archdiocese. Extraordinary signs of renewal – ‘unthinkable 9 years ago’ says the Cardinal. Not least letting a mug like me loose amongst them.”

Faux modesty aside, though of course many a truth is spoken in jest, Pete Greig has openly admitted to and indeed appears to be rejoicing in helping give the cause of Rome a boost in Austria – what a shameful situation.

The Roman Catholic Church is an anti-Christian organisation which denies the gospel message of salvation by faith alone. How anyone who claims to be a Christian should want to associate with and indeed encourage Rome is truly a mystery.

What is certain is that the Bible rejects such conduct.

2 John v 9-11 says: “Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.”

Pete Greig is making himself a partner of the evil deeds of Rome by acting in the way that he has.

The article from ‘The Tablet’ gives away why the Roman Catholic Church in Astria has enlisted the help of useful idiots like Pete Greig.

It states that, in 2011, Cardinal Schonborn had “invited Free Church (a name given to less traditional so-called Protestant churches) leaders to a meeting at Passau (a German town) as he wanted to know why the Free Churches were growing so fast. It was after that meeting seven years ago that the Cardinal had decided that the Free Churches should be regarded ‘as partners and not opponents’.”

Ecumenism, then, was identified as the route to a reinvigoration of the Roman Catholic Church in Austria.

This is backed up by a further quote in the article from Cardinal Schonborn.

He said: “Catholics and members of the Free Churches must learn from one another without losing their own identity.”

So the same man who describes ecumenism as “imperative” also wants to avoid the Roman Catholic Church losing its own identity.

This is indicative of the attitude of Rome in such matters – they may change their approach but they never change their nature. That is what Vatican II was about, the chief feature of which was a drive towards ecumenical unity.

Jeremiah 13:23 asks, and answers, the question: “Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.”

Rome is so ingrained in its sin that one could as easily change their skin colour as Rome could throw off its evil customs and doctrines.

A week after Pete Greig’s appearance in the home of the papacy in Vienna, the same venue played host to a prayer meeting jointly held by a group called the ‘Loretto Movement’ and what is described in the article as “the Free Church 24-7 Prayer Initiative”.

Pete Greig is called a ‘Team Leader’ in the 24-7 Prayer organisation and is seen as the founder of the organisation.

The Loretto Movement is a Roman Catholic youth organisation currently enjoying significant popularity in Austria and which is inextricably linked with 24-7 Prayer.

Here are a few excerpts from articles on the 24-7 Prayer website.

“A team from 24-7 Prayer and Alpha recently spent a remarkable weekend celebrating Pentecost with the Loretto movement in Austria. A few years ago the leaders read ‘Red Moon Rising’ (the handbook of 24-7 Prayer, written by, you guessed it, Pete Greig) and 24-7 Prayer Rooms are now at the heart of Loretto’s vision and growth.

“The Salzburg celebration is the big event of the Loretto calendar and is growing year by year. Over 5,000 young people crammed into Salzburg Cathedral. Pete Greig spoke on the Saturday morning on the importance of prayer and the local radio reported that it was the first time for many years that a non Catholic had spoken in the Cathedral” (article dated 29 May, 2013).

“Years ago, one of the leaders of Loretto was given a copy of Pete Greig’s book, Red Moon Rising. Since then, Loretto communities have added weeks of 24-7 Prayer to their rhythms.

“A fast friendship between Loretto Movement and 24-7 Prayer was born and over the last few years we have spent much time with each other, visiting each other’s communities and attending each other’s events.

“We’re so excited for the European Conference in Vienna this October in partnership with Loretto. Catholics and Protestants in the upper room of prayer, glorifying God and bringing forth His kingdom together” (article dated 11 September, 2018).

Roman Catholics and Protestants praying together – to whom are they praying? Rome teaches of intercession being made by Mary and various other saints, the Bible teaches, and true Protestants believe there is “one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 2:5).

This is a frightening situation, where a so-called Christian is glorying in aiding the cause of the Roman Catholic Church, which has damned untold millions to hell through its false gospel of works.

And the man behind all this, Pete Greig, is welcomed with open arms into many churches in our land who claim to be Christ exalting and his 24-7 Prayer initiative is followed by so many churches.

As we have stated already, this includes the Emmanuel Church in the Craigavon area, who had Pete Greig at their Tobar Conference, held in June.

This also includes the Causeway Coast Vineyard, the church whose former lead pastor, Alan Scott, (pictured, above) said during his tenure there that he was “all in” with the Pope. A key backer of that church is Evangelical Alliance leader Peter Lynas, a man who repeatedly engages in ecumenical activity with Rome.

Pete Greig also has spoken in Lisburn Cathedral (Church of Ireland), a church which every Easter takes part in an ecumenical walk of witness with, among others, the Roman Catholic Church in that city.

And it will come as no surprise to long time readers that it was Pete Greig who prompted the pathetic, irreverent, childish crowd-surfing act in Carnmoney Presbyterian Church, where Rev John Dickinson (pictured, below), the man who endorsed the lesbian ‘Christian’ LGBT campaigner Vicky Beeching, was carried out of the church by the poor dupes in the congregation. Pete Greig was the guest speaker on that infamous night.

We would implore all readers to share this article with anyone they know who may be caught up in any church which takes anything to do with the 24-7 Prayer Initiative and anyone they know who may be caught up with any of the churches mentioned above and to encourage themselves to separate from them.

Get your Muslim tattoo with Causeway Coast Vineyard

Causeway Coast Vineyard is truly a leading figure in the charismatic, ecumenical and easy-believist movements in Northern Ireland.

And it has taken another remarkable step in its rejection of true Christianity at a recent family “Summer Street Party” it held in Coleraine, as it advertised one of the ‘attractions’ on offer as being “henna and kids tattoos”.

The subject of henna tattoos is one we addressed briefly when we examined DUP leader Arlene Foster’s unChristian diary entries in June as she visited Belfast’s Islamic Centre as part of their Eid celebrations before speaking at an event honouring sodomites in Northern Ireland.

While at the Islamic Centre, Arlene Foster got a henna tattoo, and you can see her smiling as she receives it below.

As we said at that time, the non-permanent marking (an example of which is featured at the top of this article) has its roots in the polytheistic religion of Hinduism, but has more recently been adopted by Muslims.

Also known as ‘mehendi’, it is originally a Hindu practice and its use “is described in the earliest Hindu Vedic ritual books”, according to Wikipedia.

So it is something advocated in the Hindu ‘bible’.

Wikipedia continues by saying they are “intended to be a symbolic representation of the outer and the inner sun. Vedic customs are centred on the idea of awakening the ‘inner light’.”

So it is something used as part of sun worship, an utterly unbiblical pursuit which is a key part of Hindu worship and which is condemned in the strongest possible terms by God.

God pronounced the most fierce of judgments on such blasphemy and apostasy by the children of Israel.

Jeremiah 8:1-3 says: “At that time, saith the Lord, they shall bring out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of his princes, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves: And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshipped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung upon the face of the earth. And death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue of them that remain of this evil family, which remain in all the places whither I have driven them, saith the Lord of hosts.”

The practice has been adopted by some Muslims and is now used fairly widely. Islam is of course a pagan religion and denies the deity of Christ, saying he was just another prophet like Muhammad.

This denies the gospel of the Bible and removes the hope of salvation from its adherents as the only way to heaven is through the blood of Jesus Christ.

Isn’t it then a strange thing for Causeway Coast Vineyard, supposedly a Christian fellowship, to be specifically advertising (see below)? Indeed, isn’t it a strange thing for them to be doing at all?

The Bible warns against the marking of the body in any event, though the tattoos on offer for children at the event will undoubtedly be those which are easily washed off.

This is what the Bible has to say about the marking of the body.

It says in Leviticus 19:28: “Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the Lord.”

That is fairly straightforward, isn’t it?

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 instructs us that our body belongs to God and we ought not to mar or mark that which belongs to God. Those verses say: “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.”

So why is the Causeway Coast Vineyard Church advertising not just tattoos, but henna tattoos, markings synonymous with pagan religions such as Hinduism and Islam?

That, of course, is a question for Causeway Coast Vineyard to answer.

It would not be the first pagan religion to be embraced by Causeway Coast Vineyard as its former leader, Alan Scott (pictured, below), said he was “all in” with the Pope of Rome. You can see our article on the matter by clicking here.

Then of course you have Peter Lynas, the leader of the Evangelical Alliance and a senior figure in Causeway Coast Vineyard.

Just last week he was bemoaning the fact there are still actual Protestants in the country who are opposed to compromise with the pagan corruption of Christianity which is the Roman Catholic Church.

He dutifully jumped to the defence of Ulster Unionist Party MLA Robbie Butler, a deacon in Maghaberry Elim, saying it was “sad” that Protestants declared the outrageous decision of that professing Christian to meet with the Pope during his recent visit to Dublin.

Peter Lynas also previously stated how interested he was to hear what the Pope has to say on moral matters and issued a soppy valedictory statement following the death of arch-ecumenist Billy Graham, the man who told Roman Catholics coming to him for guidance to stay in the darkness from which they were seeking to break free.

And it was Peter Lynas, among others, who sought to promote this ‘Summer Street Party’ on his Twitter page, saying “this should be awesome”.

Mimicking paganism may be “awesome” to Peter Lynas, Causeway Coast Vineyard and the Evangelical Alliance, but it is most assuredly not in the eyes of God.

Deuteronomy 12:29-31: “When the Lord thy God shall cut off the nations from before thee, whither thou goest to possess them, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their land; Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise. Thou shalt not do so unto the Lord thy God: for every abomination to the Lord, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods…”

Let us strive to remain faithful to God and avoid any practices which are opposed by His Word and remain a truly separated people.

Vineyard Church and Hope Community Church – more easy-believists back ecumenical ‘New Wine’ Conference

We have previously featured on ‘Protestant Revival’ numerous characters taking part in the ecumenical ‘New Wine’ Conference, which kicked off yesterday (Sunday) and runs through to this Friday, 13 July.

These have included Philip Emerson and Dave Wylie, two of the lead pastors of the Emmanuel Church in the Craigavon area and confirmed Church of Ireland ecumenists, Canons Henry Blair and Mark Harvey.

On the Conference’s website, they have listed literally dozens of speakers, and while we cannot focus on them all, for obvious reasons, there are some more individuals taking part of note.

These include several representatives of the Vineyard Church, including two who are or were heavily involved with the Causeway Coast Vineyard Church in Coleraine, County Londonderry.

This is of course the church whose former leader is Alan Scott, a man who, during a message he delivered at the Causeway Coast Vineyard, said he was “all in” with the Pope.

The other participant we wish to highlight is Rev Craig Cooney, minister at one of the new charismatic Church of Ireland plants springing up in numerous locations, this one called Hope Community Church, based in Craigavon.

Indeed, Rev Craig Cooney, prior to taking up his role in Craigavon, held the position of ‘Teaching Pastor’ for a year at the Causeway Coast Vineyard Church.

Before we go any further, we will demonstrate beyond contention the ecumenical nature of this event.

At the ‘New Wine’ Conference there will be at least three speakers from the Roman Catholic Church. They are Bishop Kevin Doran, the Bishop of the Elphin Diocese; Dr Fodhla McGrane of Clonard Monastery in west Belfast and Paddy Monaghan of the Evangelical Catholic Initiative.

The Roman Catholic Church is an anti-Christian organisation, and teaches numerous falsehoods, not least of which is its blasphemy of salvation by works and sacramental merit.

The Bible, however, teaches of a far simpler, greater salvation – through faith.

Ephesians 2:8-9 says: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

We cannot earn our salvation, which Rome still to this day teaches. One must only look at the Pope’s offer of plenary indulgences to those who attend his planned visit to the Republic of Ireland next month to see Rome has not moved one iota since the Reformation.

The matter of the Romanist deceit regarding salvation is the most grave of its manifold blasphemies, for they attempt to erect a bar between its followers and eternal glory in heaven.

And this is the key reason why so-called Protestant preachers and supposedly God-exalting church leaders should remain separate from perpetrators of such papal deceit.

God’s curse is on the Roman Catholic system, with its false gospel of works. Galatians 1:9 says: “As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”

We are not to fellowship with or even extend good wishes to those who preach another gospel.

2 John 1:9-11: “Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.”

By associating with such messengers of “that man of sin”, the Pope, Rev Craig Cooney and those representatives of the Vineyard Church are made partaker of their evil deeds.

Most observers of religious affairs in Northern Ireland will have probably heard of the controversy at Knocknamuckley Church of Ireland a few years ago, where the ludicrous conduct of Rev Alan Kilpatrick grabbed headlines in the country’s regional papers.

His highly irreverent style of dress in church, his abandonment of traditional worship, his bringing in of an interpretive dance troop on Easter Sunday 2015 and his links with the extreme Pentecostal movement, Bethel Supernatural Ministry, eventually led to him leaving the church, located between Portadown and Lurgan in County Armagh.

Given his list of transgressions, one would have expected a supposedly God-exalting church to have washed their hands of Rev Alan Kilpatrick.

However, the local diocese of the Church of Ireland instead allowed him to set up a new fellowship, which became Hope Community Church, based in Craigavon.

Rev Alan Kilpatrick left in 2017 and was then replaced by Rev Craig Cooney.

At his installation, a report on the Church of Ireland’s website quoted Rev Craig Cooney as saying he planned to “build on the great foundations laid by my predecessor, Rev Alan Kilpatrick”.

1 Corinthians 3:8-11 outlines the only sure foundation to God’s work.

It says: “Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building. According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”

Can it be said that Rev Alan Kilpatrick laid foundations in Jesus Christ? Based on the activities he supported and those he disregarded, we do not believe it can be said that he did.

Therefore the foundations Rev Craig Cooney is building upon are like the sand the foolish man built his house on.

On a side note, who was it who preached the message at Rev Craig Cooney’s installation in Hope Community Church? Rev David McClay, the leader of the ‘New Wine’ movement in Ireland.

Rev Craig Cooney, in his previous charge in Dublin at St Catherine’s Church of Ireland, also demonstrated his ecumenical desire by helping raise funds for the nearby Roman Catholic church, also called St Catherine’s.

A table quiz called ‘St Catherine’s United’ was held. We are told that, “at the end of the evening, the Rev Craig Cooney, minister of CORE, presented Father Niall Coughlin with a cheque for €2,000”.

We are further told that, speaking after the event, Rev Craig Cooney said: “Not only was a large amount of money raised, but more importantly, friendships have been forged which can be developed in the months and years ahead.”

Rev Craig Cooney was avowedly stating his desire to press ahead with ecumenical relationships, and he is certainly fulfilling that most unbiblical vow by speaking at the ‘New Wine’ Conference.

‘New Wine’ would also be a rather appropriate event for the Vineyard Church to be represented at and they are up to their necks in this conference.

Two people with significant links to Causeway Coast Vineyard, Scott McNamara and Colleen McSorley, are to address the conference and two leaders in the ‘Desert Vineyard’, Jonathan Rue, who appears to be a celebrity draw to the event, and Joshua Miller.

The fact all four of these characters are attending this event with Papists seems to be consistent with Alan Scott’s shameful declaration that he is “all in” with the Pope.

Indeed, Colleen McSorley regularly retweets the ramblings of Alan Scott on Twitter, as he follows the time-honoured tradition of the charismatic of sharing something he believes to be profound, but is in fact as deep as your fingernail.

For those looking true meaning and depth, we can look in just one direction, and that is to Christ.

Romans 11:33: “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!”

Vineyard Church leader Alan Scott says Mary worship is fine and that he’s ‘all in’ with the Pope

The lead pastor of the Causeway Coast Vineyard church in Coleraine has declared his solidarity with the Pope, saying he is “all in” with that man of sin, and son of perdition.

Alan Scott (pictured, top) is the leader of the charismatic grouping and he has firmly nailed his colours to the Romanist mast with his shameful comments.

In the message he delivered at a meeting in the Causeway Coast Vineyard last year, which has only recently been brought to our attention, he said he could “journey” spiritually with the Pope, the man the Westminster Confession of Faith describes as that “Antichrist” as he blasphemously sets himself up in the place of God.

In the message, Alan Scott recounts a meeting of the leaders of the Vineyard Church with the Pope. They are John and Eleanor (or Ele) Mumford, who, for the easily impressed, are also the parents of Marcus Mumford from the pop group Mumford and Sons.

He speaks of the meeting as if it is something pleasant to be in the company with the leader of the church which has led millions, perhaps billions, to hell.

While walking in to meet the Pope, John and Ele bump into their good friends who have just met with the “Antichrist” themselves, “Justin and Caroline”, who happen to be Justin and Caroline Welby, the Arch-Apostate of Canterbury, whom we have previously mentioned endorsing the Romish practice of prayer to saints, and his wife.

This shows that, even beside the Pope, their company is unbecoming those who would profess Christ as they are pals with a leader of the apostasy in the UK like Justin Welby.

As Alan Scott, who has recently moved to America to spread his deceit further, continues his drivel, which is still available online (though we wouldn’t advise listening to it – we have subjected ourselves to it so you don’t have to), one begins to wonder if he’s telling a bedtime story or supposedly preaching to people’s souls.

He then blatantly issues a defiant challenge to God. Alan Scott continues: “John and Ele went in to meet the Pope. Are the Proddies OK?”

Cue uproarious laughter from the dupes in the congregation.

What Alan Scott is saying is: “Did the two Protestants suddenly spontaneously combust when they went into the presence of the leader of Romanism? Were they struck down by God in that very second? No, they didn’t and they weren’t, and that’s because they did nothing wrong in socialising with the Pope.”

That’s what he is saying. He is directly challenging God with a breathtaking arrogance, irreverence and ignorance of His power and His anger at sin.

Quite often sin goes unpunished for a long time, quite often sinners don’t seem to be punished in this life. However, judgement will surely come, whether it be visibly on earth, or whether it be in eternity.

Ecclesiastes 8:11-13: “Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. Though a sinner do evil an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him: But it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong his days, which are as a shadow; because he feareth not before God.”

The heart of Alan Scott is fully set in himself to do evil, such as causing members of his congregation to laugh at the notion that God could possibly judge sin. He needs to bear in mind those nine words in verse 13: “But it shall not be well with the wicked”.

Job, in his disputations with his friends, looks at the lack of judgement there appears to be on the wicked, and indeed they often prosper, but it will not last and they are as chaff blown away in the wind. It says in Job 21:13-18: “They spend their days in wealth, and in a moment go down to the grave. Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways. What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? and what profit should we have, if we pray unto him? Lo, their good is not in their hand: the counsel of the wicked is far from me. How oft is the candle of the wicked put out! and how oft cometh their destruction upon them! God distributeth sorrows in his anger. They are as stubble before the wind, and as chaff that the storm carrieth away.”

Temporarily safe from God’s judgement, John and Ele persist in their defiance of our Saviour by referring to the Pope as “His Holiness”, when there are few, if any, less holy people on this earth.

Ele then, Alan Scott relays to us, asks the Pope a question. She asks him, “What do you think the Holy Spirit is doing on the earth today?” As if the Pope has any idea what the Holy Spirit is doing.

However, the Holy Spirit knows what the Pope is doing. He is blaspheming His name by claiming to be the ‘Vicar of Christ on earth’, a role which was taken by the Holy Spirit after Christ had finished His work on earth.

However, Alan Scott gushes: “That’s a brilliant question for the Pope.” He then goes on to say the Pope replied by saying you can do three things with the Holy Spirit.

Alan Scott says the Pope said you can ignore Him, grieve Him (the Pope knows all about that one!) or you can “let the Holy Spirit have His way”.

And then Alan Scott confirmed his disgraceful blasphemy and sell out of God’s Word.

He says: “Now here’s the deal. John and Ele and Justin and Caroline and Francis, they will disagree on lots of things, but I can journey with anyone who’ll let the Holy Spirit have His way.

“If we’re agreed on that, I’m all in. If that’s your conviction of faith. Like we can talk about beads and flags, or we can just say, ‘Holy Spirit you’re welcome here’. It’s beautiful, right? And that’s the unity we aspire towards.”

We’re afraid, Alan Scott, that is the furthest thing from beautiful and it is certainly not the unity anyone should be aspiring towards.

What he is saying is that doctrines aren’t important, faithfulness to God’s Word is an irrelevance, we are all to be part of one big ecumenical gang as long as someone makes one single glib statement that they’ll let the Holy Spirit have His way.

Jesus said, “by their fruits ye shall know them” and the Pope grieves the Holy Spirit by his blasphemy, which will not be forgiven.

Matthew 12:31: “Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.”

Alan Scott and his followers in the Vineyard church and its friends need to remember that. The Pope’s sin will not be forgiven. He is damned already.

That must also cause you to question whoever wants to associate with the Pope and whoever says they are “all in” and can “journey” spiritually with the Pope. Any spiritual journey with the Pope leads to hell.

As for his comments about beads (representing Roman Catholicism) and flags (supposedly representing Protestantism), that is just absolute nonsense.

Alan Scott is clearly referring to rosary beads, a Romanist blasphemy used to pray to Mary for intercession, (1 Timothy 2:5: “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus”), but he is stating he does not have a problem with that and is endorsing worship of Mary. What utter blasphemy!

As for the reference to flags, a comment which drew foolish laughter from his audience, since when were flags a part of Protestant worship? There is no equivalence between the two. This is just silly nonsense from someone in a position as a church leader, which demands far more from its occupant.

2 Timothy 2:16-17: “But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. And their word will eat as doth a canker”.

That word “canker” can be rendered “cancer”, and it equates such foolish talk to be like a cancer in the way it spreads, and that is what Alan Scott is doing, he is spreading another gospel which will eat up people’s souls until they are entirely consumed and cast into hell.

Reader, please be wary of such utter departure from God’s Word. Be aware too that the leader of the Evangelical Alliance, Peter Lynas, is a leading figure in that church.

We previously featured Peter Lynas’ pathetic, glowing tribute to Billy Graham, a man who walked hand in hand with Rome and turned souls yearning for salvation back into the clutches of Rome. Peter Lynas has also previously stated his interest in hearing what the Pope has to say about moral issues, such as abortion.

True Christians shouldn’t want to hear what that “man of sin, and son of perdition” has to say on anything.

Luke 11:28: “But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.”
