Evangelical Alliance’s David Smyth links arms with Rome, Irish republican and issues ‘warm welcome to the Pope’

There is a well known phrase that “my enemy’s enemy is my friend”.

And this appears to be the general mindset adopted by a lot of the forces operating in opposition to abortion and other moral and social issues in Northern Ireland.

Many so-called Protestants are coalescing with the Roman Catholic Church these days as they, laudably, share an opposition to the murder of the unborn, euphemistically referred to as abortion.

Now, whether or not those Protestants who engage in this would consider the Roman Catholic Church to be their enemy is up for debate and, indeed highly improbable, but the general principle still stands.

And this can be seen very clearly at the Evangelical Alliance, with further demonstration of this errant approach given by its Public Policy representative, David Smyth.

This he did by addressing a conference organised by the Iona Institute NI, a Romanist organisation.

While it calls itself a Christian think tank, it is clearly a Roman Catholic dominated organisation at best.

The Iona Institute was originally formed in the overwhelmingly Roman Catholic Republic of Ireland and launched a Northern Ireland branch in 2016.

At its first conference in 2017, the keynote speaker was the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Armagh, Eamon Martin.

Other speakers at the event, held in a Roman Catholic parish hall in Belfast, included Nuala O’Loan and Alban Maginness, both well known former public representatives who are also known for their devotion to the Roman Catholic faith.

The subject of Eamon Martin’s speech was about how he expects the position of the Roman Catholic Church to be respected and “encouraged Catholics to meet like minded Christians more often to share their values”.

Ecumenical dialogue, in other words.

His comments, in their nature, were addressed entirely to a Roman Catholic audience and a report from the Irish Times from March 2017 calls the Iona Institute a “Catholic advocacy group”.

An excerpt of the report is as follows: “Archbishop Eamon Martin has told the inaugural conference of the Iona Institute Northern Ireland that the Catholic Church has no desire to create a theocracy in Ireland, but wants respect for its beliefs and values.

The Catholic Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All-Ireland was the keynote speaker at the event in south Belfast, which was organised by the Catholic advocacy group to explore “faith in the public square”.

Delegates at the event in St Brigid’s Parish Hall also heard from former Police Ombudsman Nuala O’Loan and former SDLP MLA Alban Maginness, among others.

The archbishop told attendees the Catholic Church expected that “in a true pluralist democracy or republic, religion and faith will continue to have an important part to play in the national conversation”.

He acknowledged the Catholic Church’s “child abuse scandals and other shameful episodes” in the past.

He encouraged Catholics to meet like-minded Christians more often to share their values and contribute to discussions.”

This is a Roman Catholic focused group, with one of the church’s most senior figures encouraging them to engage in ecumenical activity.

And David Smyth and the Evangelical Alliance have been only too happy to help fulfil the wishes of this most senior emissary of Papal deceit.

The event was held in the Wellington Park Hotel in Belfast on Saturday past, 30 March and was advertised in Roman Catholic parish bulletins and featured prominently in the Irish News.

Its Northern Irish spokesperson is a Roman Catholic called Tracy Harkin.

And Tracy Harkin is an Irish republican who will contest next month’s local council election for a new all-Ireland political party called Aontu, led by a former Sinn Fein member of the Republic of Ireland’s parliament called Peadar Toibin.

Toibin left Sinn Fein due to his opposition to abortion and this policy is a key driver behind his new party.

However, while Toibin appears to be concerned about murdering the unborn, and rightfully so, by having ever been a member of Sinn Fein he shows his utter disdain and disregard for those innocent victims of terrorism perpetrated by the IRA, whose actions Sinn Fein continue to celebrate to this day.

And Tracy Harkin will be standing for this man’s party, which has a stated aim of promoting a united Ireland.

There certainly doesn’t seem to be much by the way of Protestantism about the Iona Institute and the Archbishop of Armagh certainly seems to think it is a Roman Catholic organisation.

All this makes it all the more disappointing that the Evangelical Alliance and one of its most senior representatives at that, should wish to engage with an organisation representing blasphemous beliefs.

These include the practising of the Mass, where Christ is sacrificed again and again throughout the centuries across the world, the idolatrous worship of Mary and veneration of statues, the deceit of Purgatory and the denial of the precious Biblical doctrine of salvation by faith alone in Christ alone.

Just because we may agree with Roman Catholics on the subject of abortion, there are, or certainly ought to be, vast chasms in what we believe on so many fundamentals of the faith.

And while it may seem to some to be a practical approach to forge links with a church on a matter on which you agree, in the light of Scripture it is shown to be an errant attitude to take.

One must only look at the example of the good king of Judah, Jehoshaphat, foolishly linking with the evil king of Israel, Ahab.

2 Chronicles 18:1-3 says: “Now Jehoshaphat had riches and honour in abundance, and joined affinity with Ahab. And after certain years he went down to Ahab to Samaria. And Ahab killed sheep and oxen for him in abundance, and for the people that he had with him, and persuaded him to go up with him to Ramoth-gilead. And Ahab king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat king of Judah, Wilt thou go with me to Ramoth-gilead? And he answered him, I am as thou art, and my people as thy people; and we will be with thee in the war.”

Jehoshaphat focused on the commonality between him and Ahab.

Their kingdoms were born from the division of one kingdom, the peoples they ruled were all the children of Jacob.

However, they were vastly different, as we are told that Jehoshaphat was faithful to God.

2 Chronicles 17:3-4, 6 says: “And the Lord was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and sought not unto Baalim; But sought to the Lord God of his father, and walked in his commandments, and not after the doings of Israel. And his heart was lifted up in the ways of the Lord: moreover he took away the high places and groves out of Judah.”

Ahab, meanwhile, was an extremely, notably wicked man.

1 Kings 16:30-33 says: “And Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of the Lord above all that were before him. And it came to pass, as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took to wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Zidonians, and went and served Baal, and worshipped him. And he reared up an altar for Baal in the house of Baal, which he had built in Samaria. And Ahab made a grove; and Ahab did more to provoke the Lord God of Israel to anger than all the kings of Israel that were before him.”

While Jehoshaphat was taking away the high places and groves used for idolatrous worship, Ahab was busy setting them up.

Yet for some reason Jehoshaphat considered it a good idea to form an alliance with this evil man.

After his ecumenical foray, Jehoshaphat was told he had kindled God’s anger.

2 Chronicles 19:2 says: “And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the Lord? therefore is wrath upon thee from before the Lord.”

Despite warnings such as this (you can also refer to Zerubbabel and Jeshua fending off such an advance in Ezra 3), there are many who plough on regardless, walking hand in hand with Rome.

This is what the Evangelical Alliance is doing as they seek to find common cause with Rome.

Unlike the famous adage adopted by the Jesuits, who one of the Evangelical Alliance’s members, Alain Emerson of Emmanuel Church, is a big fan of, the ends do not justify the means.

Of course, this is not the first time David Smyth or the Evangelical Alliance has mingled seed with the corruption of Rome.

When it was announced that Pope Francis, the man who blasphemously calls himself God’s representative on earth, despite that being the role of the Holy Spirit (John 14:16-18; John 16:7-11), was planning to visit Ireland, David Smyth said he wanted to extend “a warm and sincere welcome to the Pope”.

He also said he hoped such a “warm and sincere welcome” would be shown “by the whole community”.

Leaving aside the fact that true Christians should not be glad handing the representatives of a system which has condemned untold millions to hell, did David Smyth include the countless numbers who have been abused by Romanist priests as part of “the whole community”? Should they welcome the man at the head of the system which harboured their abusers?

David Smyth went on to say that “sometimes we can be concerned that by showing warmth or generosity that that can be misunderstood as endorsing everything someone stands for”.

This is very much a fig leaf to cover the nakedness of his betrayal of the Bible.

It says in Ephesians 5:11: “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them”.

David Smyth continued his overture to “that man of sin, and son of perdition”, by saying “maybe we need to be bolder in our welcome”.

So not only was he keen to be offering a “warm and sincere” welcome to the Pope, he was keen to be bold about it and do it in a very overt and obvious way.

Such boldness in welcoming sin is not found in the Bible.

The boldness we find is in preaching the word of God and sharing the precious gospel of Jesus Christ which the Pope denies and pronounces his curse upon any who believe it.

Ephesians 6:19-20 says: “And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.”

1 Thessalonians 2:2-5 says: “But even after that we had suffered before, and were shamefully entreated, as ye know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak unto you the gospel of God with much contention. For our exhortation was not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile: But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts. For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloke of covetousness; God is witness”.

We are also to be bold, if we are saved, in our approach to God in prayer.

Hebrews 4:16 says: “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

Hebrews 10:16-20 says: “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh”.

There is the true boldness we are to have to put our prayers and petitions before God, not to be bold in welcoming warmly a man who denies the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Even those verses above rip apart the teachings of Rome, speaking of how God will no longer remember our sins, He won’t make us go through Purgatory, He won’t require us to do penance, He doesn’t want us to offer up a sacrifice of His precious Son again and again.

Yet the Evangelical Alliance and David Smyth want to warmly welcome a man who engages in such wickedness.

And the Evangelical Alliance and David Smyth want to join hands with a Romanist organisation like the Iona Institute and walk hand in hand with an Irish republican who wants to bring us under the rule of those who hate true Christianity.

Dear reader, please separate yourself from this organisation, please separate yourself from any churches involved in the Evangelical Alliance or indeed any who would have any fellowship with the Iona Institute.

Make it clear that this betrayal of true Christianity and true Protestantism will not be carried out in your name.

Hebrews 13:13: “Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.”

Peter Lynas and Evangelical Alliance join forces with Jesuit promoter Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson

Jeremiah 14:10-14: “Thus saith the Lord unto this people, Thus have they loved to wander, they have not refrained their feet, therefore the Lord doth not accept them; he will now remember their iniquity, and visit their sins. Then said the Lord unto me, Pray not for this people for their good. When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and an oblation, I will not accept them: but I will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence. Then said I, Ah, Lord God! behold, the prophets say unto them, Ye shall not see the sword, neither shall ye have famine; but I will give you assured peace in this place. Then the Lord said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.”

Much polluted worship is offered up in our land today and, like the Pharisees of old, those behind it think “that they shall be heard for their much speaking” (Matthew 7:7).

Many believe that simply invoking the name of Christ will be sufficient to ensure their utterances reach the courts of heaven.

However, Psalm 66:18 tells us that “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me”.

And surely such a peril lies before those organisers of the prayer event held at the gates of Stormont, the would-be seat of power in Northern Ireland, were we not held to ransom by murderers and their apologists, on Sunday past, 24 March.

The event was organised by 24-7 Prayer Ireland, which is an ungodly organisation in the first place.

It is headed up by Alain Emerson (pictured on the right of the image at the top of this article), lead pastor of the anti-Christian charismatic Emmanuel Church, based in the Craigavon area.

Alain Emerson’s ecumenical rap sheet is so long it would make your eyes water, hence his richly deserved moniker of Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson.

You can read his lengthy list of betrayal of the gospel of Jesus Christ by clicking here, which reached its nadir (thus far!) back in November when he engaged in whole-hearted promotion of that wretched Romanist Ignatius of Loyola.

He is, of course, the man who founded the dreadful Jesuit order of priests set up specifically to lead the Counter Reformation, which fought to suppress the glorious light of the gospel, so wonderfully unveiled by God through Martin Luther and others.

Ignatius of Loyola’s Jesuit order led the centuries long, bloody Inquisition, in which untold millions of Protestants, Jews and Muslims were murdered simply for not being Romanists.

But Ignatius of Loyola is a great “dude”, according to Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson.

And on Sunday past he was leading this ungodly event under the auspices of 24-7 Prayer, which was held to, ostensibly, petition God to intervene and restore working government at Stormont and allow everyone to agree over the interminable ‘Brexit’ saga.

Presumably they believe God wants the murderers and apologists for murder of Sinn Fein to reassume control of our affairs.

Another leading figure in the religious deceit spreading throughout our land, ‘Papist’ Peter Lynas (pictured on the left of the image at the top of this article), was also heartily promoting this event.

‘Papist’ Peter Lynas is another whose ecumenical rap sheet is the length of your arm, and you can read all about that by clicking here.

He is the leader of the Evangelical Alliance in Northern Ireland and is a senior figure at Causeway Coast Vineyard Church in Coleraine, County Londonderry.

Alain Emerson’s Emmanuel Church is a member of the Evangelical Alliance, and the strong links between him and Peter Lynas were further demonstrated on Sunday past when he publicly expressed his support for, and attended, this initiative.

Peter Lynas tweeted after the event, saying it was “so great to be part of this”.

And indeed, beforehand, he actually appeared in a video alongside Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson or, as he matily referred to him in the video, “Ally”.

Ironically, Alain Emerson is also an ally of Peter Lynas in the ecumenical deceit spreading throughout Ulster.

In that video, and another posted by Peter Lynas afterwards, he talks about people joining with “us”, putting himself as one of the senior figures in bringing this event together.

Now, there is nothing wrong with praying for our country, in fact it is Scriptural, but does Peter Lynas think that fellowshipping with a man who promotes the founder of the Jesuits and has repeatedly engaged with Romanism is going to achieve anything beneficial for Northern Ireland?

Peter Lynas, mind you, doesn’t seem to be too worried about raising a voice against Rome. Instead, he praised professing Christians such as the then Presbyterian Moderator, Rev Charles McMullen, for toddling down to Dublin to cower before the Pope.

With this constant rejection of God’s Word, can there be any excuse for being involved with the Causeway Coast Vineyard Church, or indeed any Vineyard Church, Emmanuel Church in Lurgan or Portadown in County Armagh, or any church which is a member of the Evangelical Alliance?

Scripturally, there is no excuse.

We are told in Ephesians 5:11 that we are to “have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them”.

Jude v 3 says we are to “earnestly contend for the faith”.

We cannot do that when we are wrapped up in churches who very clearly set themselves up in opposition to the Bible.

Let us not forget, as unfortunately so many in our country seem to have done, that Rome, to this very day, denies the all-sufficient death of Christ at Calvary and pronounces its curse on those who believe that precious doctrine.

Rome teaches of a fictitious holding cell between heaven and hell called Purgatory, it teaches of prayer to Mary and long dead so-called saints, it teaches of the worshipping of idols and images and practises the blatant blasphemy of the Mass, in which they offer Christ up as a sacrifice again and again and again.

All of these teachings are Biblically illiterate and repugnant to the Word of God.

So why do ‘Papist’ Peter Lynas and Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson so willingly and gleefully work alongside them?

Dear reader that is a question we would love you to put to them, particularly if you or some connection of yours is in any way linked to any of the churches they represent, and that includes any whose church is in the Evangelical Alliance. Won’t you even challenge your religious leaders about their involvement in such an organisation, if they are in the Evangelical Alliance, and won’t you even contact these men directly to challenge them on their persistent, repeated unscriptural activities and alliances?

Newtownbreda Baptist joins ‘intoxicated’ evangelist and the charismania delusion

Joshua 23:16: “When ye have transgressed the covenant of the Lord your God, which he commanded you, and have gone and served other gods, and bowed yourselves to them; then shall the anger of the Lord be kindled against you, and ye shall perish quickly from off the good land which he hath given unto you.”

It is always sad to see a church engaged in activities which are utterly at odds with the Word of God, but it is especially distressing when it happens in a church which is part of a denomination many expect more from.

It is distressing for two key reasons; the first being simply that it is sad for any church to bring dishonour to the cause of Christ and the second is that denomination’s name offers it protection against automatic suspicion from the average child of God.

This is the case with Newtownbreda Baptist Church, based in east Belfast, as it continues to reject the Biblical command of separation from falsehood.

Indeed, not only that, but Newtownbreda Baptist Church, whose minister is Pastor Trevor Ramsey (pictured, top), is actively engaged in promoting those who teach and themselves engage with falsehood.

In recent months we have highlighted Newtownbreda Baptist Church’s membership of the Evangelical Alliance, headed up by that ecumenical cheerleader Peter Lynas, whom you can read about by clicking here.

Not only is the leader of that grouping in Northern Ireland a fan of liaising with Popery, but many of its members stand proudly in open defiance of God.

Not least among these is the Emmanuel Church, based in the Craigavon area, whose lead pastors, Alain Emerson, Philip Emerson and Dave Wylie are all open Bible rejecters.

Alain Emerson promoted the teachings of Counter Reformation leader Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Romanist Jesuit order, among many other anti-Christian actions, while Philip Emerson and Dave Wylie were guest speakers at the ungodly New Wine Conference and Dave Wylie described a Papist monk as one of the “heroes of church history”.

King’s Church in Bangor is another inappropriate member of any grouping which would claim to be Christian, given its leader, Glen Mitchell, denies the Biblical account of creation.

This was brought to Newtownbreda Baptist Church and Trevor Ramsey’s attention, yet they chose to cover their ears rather than address the sin in the camp.

Indeed, Newtownbreda Baptist Church responded by bringing in Peter Lynas just a few weeks later as a special guest speaker, and he held a meeting where he promoted the document he produced about what he recommends be the church’s response to transgenderism and sodomy. His ill-advised, to put it generously, suggestion was the provision of “trans” accessible toilets in churches.

And since then Newtownbreda Baptist Church has brought in a stand-up comedian to “preach” at another Sunday night service, a concept utterly at odds with the Word of God, which you can read about by clicking here.

Now, Newtownbreda Baptist Church is proudly advertising another God-defying event they have lined up, involving a host of churches, none of which are in any way appropriate to be linking up with.

The event is entitled, ‘Just One’, which is certainly a fine name for an ecumenical venture, and involves Crown Jesus Ministries, Christian Fellowship Church (CFC) Belfast, Willowfield Parish Church, Orangefield Presbyterian Church and UT Belfast, a Pentecostal grouping, as well as, of course, Newtownbreda Baptist Church.

It is scheduled to take place on Sunday, 2 June in CS Lewis Square (another inappropriate spiritual guide) in east Belfast.

And the special speaker at this charismatic nirvana is a man called Canon J John (pictured, below), a celebrity preacher who is an honorary canon in the utterly apostate Church of England.

According to his Wikipedia page, Canon J John has spoken in such churches as Hillsong Australia and Hillsong New York, as well as Holy Trinity Brompton.

Hillsong, of course, preaches a false gospel, which you can read some more of here. Additionally, one of its leading figures, Joel Timothy Houston, posted his endorsement of the Christ-denying Big Bang Theory on Twitter.

Holy Trinity Brompton, meanwhile, is the clerical domain of Alpha Course leader Nicky Gumbel, who back in January we highlighted fawning over a Romanist Cardinal and congratulating him on organising a Papal visit to the Philippines.

Canon J John’s fame really took off when he took it upon himself to rewrite the Ten Commandments, something which he claims was “a God idea”.

So, “Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain”, has become “take God seriously” and “Thou shalt not steal” has been changed to “prosper with a clear conscience”, and so on.

What a disgrace that is. Not only has he changed God’s Word and have the cheek to say God told him to do it, he has taken away from it and created a meaningless, vague mess.

Canon J John and every church which is inviting him to Belfast in June would do well to remember these words.

Revelation 22:18-19: “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”

Indeed, Canon J John has previously described himself as being “intoxicated” after attending an event led by arch-heretic Rodney Howard-Browne, who describes himself as the “Holy Ghost bartender”, back in the late 1990s, whom you can read more about by clicking here.

In an article on the ‘Take Heed Ministries’ website (which you can read by clicking here), it is pointed out that a July 1997 edition of a magazine called ‘Charisma’ outlines Canon J John’s involvement in the sham that is known as the ‘Toronto Blessing’.

“In his pursuit of God, J John had acquired a yearning for more. Eager to go forward at Toronto-style revival meetings he was disappointed to find that everyone but him – even those praying for him – seemed to be falling over.

“Then evangelical bible-teacher and friend R T Kendall introduced John to Rodney Howard-Browne, one of the pioneers of the renewal movement. Later John was invited to one of Howard Browne’s camp meetings in St Louis. It was the fourth meeting before he saw a breakthrough. After speaking from the platform John suddenly felt ‘intoxicated'”.

So Canon J John actively sought to be filled with the delusions of Toronto, desiring to “fall over” under the influence of some practitioner of deceit like Rodney Howard-Browne.

And he delighted in being “intoxicated”, which surely would send out alarm bells to any true child of God.

So this gives us an idea of the character and message, and indeed the destiny if he doesn’t repent, of the man headlining this charismatic festival.

And what of the churches besides Newtownbreda Baptist Church who are involved?

Well, Orangefield Presbyterian Church is currently running the Alpha Course, which is of course replete with leaven, polluting the purity of the gospel message. UT Belfast is also currently running the ungodly Alpha Course.

Crown Jesus Ministries and Christian Fellowship Church Belfast are typical charismatic fluff preaching churches, with CFC Belfast actually hosting a conference last June headlined by Paul Manwaring of the infamous USA based Bethel Church, practitioners of all manner of distressing exercises, some of which you can read about by clicking here.

And Willowfield Parish Church is one of the terribly modern Church of Ireland fellowships, which has copied the pleasing to the senses style of the charismatics to draw in the punters.

Its minister is Rev David McClay, the man behind the wretched New Wine Conference, to which he invites Papists each year to spread their Romish deceits and make the anti-Christian machinery of the Vatican more palatable to undiscerning so-called Protestants.

These are the churches involved, this is the man involved, so why oh why is a Baptist Church throwing itself headlong into such an ungodly mess?

That is a question for Newtownbreda Baptist Church and its leadership, not least Pastor Trevor Ramsey.

Will they or he answer it?

In our experience with this church and many others, they are not interested in directly addressing the issue, instead choosing to deflect.

Of course, there is coming a day when all ministers who fail to honour God will have to answer for their actions.

Ezekiel 33:6: “But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.”

In the meantime, let us even now turn our attention to warning everyone we know, both by sharing this article and by word of mouth, about this shameful event which is planned by these churches in east Belfast.

‘Who cares if you’re Protestant or Catholic? Rome is an inspiration’, says Arch-apostate of Canterbury

Jeremiah 2:8, 11-13: “The priests said not, Where is the Lord? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit. Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit. Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith the Lord. For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.”

Such is the rotten nature of so much of the professing church today, it is difficult to be truly surprised by what religious leaders say.

It can certainly be shocking, but rarely is it surprising.

However, the Archbishop (though Arch-apostate would be more accurate) of Canterbury, Justin Welby, has managed to do just that after he said how wonderful it is if Church of England clerics switch to be servants of Rome.

It may perhaps not be especially surprising that this is his view, given his disgraceful ecumenical track record, but what is surprising is how he has chosen to publicly articulate that view.

In a shocking rejection of the precious gospel heritage the entire UK is blessed to have, when asked his opinion on Church of England vicars switching to Rome, the following is what this reprobate had to say:

“Who cares? I don’t mind about all that. Particularly if people go to Rome, which is such a source of inspiration.

“I had an email from a very old friend, an Anglican priest who has decided to go to Rome. I wrote back saying: ‘how wonderful! As long as you are following your vocation, you are following Christ’.

“It’s just wonderful. What we need is for people to be disciples of Jesus Christ. I don’t really care whether it’s the Church of England or Rome or the Orthodox or Pentecostals or the Lutherans or Baptists.

“They are faithful disciples of Christ.”

Arch-apostate of Canterbury Justin Welby, let us say this now – you are a disgrace.

Rome, to this very day, outright rejects and places its curse (not that we care one iota about Rome’s curse, we’d be more concerned by its blessing) on any who teach or believe the precious Scriptural doctrine of salvation by faith alone in Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-9).

They cannot be “faithful disciples of Christ” when they deny his all-sufficient sacrifice on the cross at Calvary. They are Christ rejecters and so is Arch-apostate Welby by saying what he has said.

It is strange that any church leader should applaud his ministers for leaving.

It is stranger still that he should say it is “particularly” wonderful if they go to Rome.

Why should that be so?

Romanism is totally at odds with true Christianity, it is a pagan corruption.

Rome teaches of prayers for the dead and to so-called ‘Saints’, it teaches of the exaltation of the Pope, it teaches of the fictitious holding cell between heaven and hell they call purgatory, it teaches of the blasphemous worship of Mary, it teaches of the idolatrous adoration of relics and statues, and as we have already said, it teaches of a works-based salvation.

These are all utterly repugnant to any true Christian.

If Arch-apostate of Canterbury Justin Welby doesn’t find these repugnant, there is a clear conclusion to be drawn.

Let us remind Arch-apostate Welby of the 39 Articles which are supposedly the governing principles of his church and which he, as the most senior figure worldwide of the church, is supposed to be foremost in upholding.

Article 11, on the justification of man, says “we are accounted righteous before God, only for the merit of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ by Faith, and not for our own works or deservings.”

Rome outright denies this, so how can Arch-apostate Welby support such heresy or those who switch to a church teaching such heresy?

Article 19, speaking of the church, has this to say regarding Rome. It says: “As the Church of Jerusalem, Alexandria, and Antioch, have erred, so also the Church of Rome hath erred, not only in their living and manner of Ceremonies, but also in matters of Faith.”

Arch-apostate Welby clearly doesn’t believe Rome has erred, otherwise he would mourn the loss of ministers to Rome. Instead, he calls Rome an “inspiration”.

Article 22, speaking of purgatory, says the following: “The Romish Doctrine concerning Purgatory, Pardons, Worshipping and Adoration, as well of Images as of Relics, and also Invocation of Saints, is a fond thing, vainly invented, and grounded upon no warranty of Scripture, but rather repugnant to the Word of God.”

Prayer to saints, the adoration of relics and images and purgatory are all, by Arch-apostate Welby’s churches governing principles, “vainly invented” and “repugnant to the Word of God”.

How can Justin Welby remain in his position? How can it be deemed proper that such a character remain in situ?

He truly is like the prophets in the Scripture passage at the head of this article, he has “walked after things that do not profit”.

Arch-apostate of Canterbury Justin Welby is a broken cistern which can hold no water.

He is the encapsulation of the Saviour’s warning regarding the false teachers of his day.

Matthew 15:14 says: “Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.”

Christ told His followers to stay well clear of the false teachers as they will lead those who follow them into the ditch.

And that is where Arch-apostate of Canterbury Justin Welby is heading headlong for.

You may say you are not in the Church of England and you do not support this man, but are you in the Church of Ireland? If so, your church is implicated by being part of the Anglican communion.

Even if not, does your church or church leader consider Justin Welby an admirable man to follow?

How can you know, you might ask?

Well, does your church take part in the ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ prayer initiative started by Justin Welby just a few years ago? It is an overtly ecumenical event for which the Roman Catholic Church is fully on board, so much so they have devised ‘Novenas’ to accompany the festival.

One such church heavily implicated in ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ is the Emmanuel Church in the Craigavon area.

Their lead pastor, Alain Emerson, organised the largest ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ gathering in Northern Ireland, which was held at the hub of ecumenical deceit of May Street Presbyterian Church in Belfast, which you can read about by clicking here.

We need to be separated from those who work iniquity in our land and from those who have rejected the truth of the Bible to cosy up with the likes of the Church of Rome, which knows only how to send its poor deluded adherents to hell.

Revelation 18:4-5: “And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.”

Alpha Course conference and Nicky Gumbel celebrate Papal Mass

The Alpha Course has for some years now been a favoured method by which many churches seek to attract in new people.

‘That’s fantastic’, some might say. ‘Who wouldn’t want to see churches growing and attracting in new people?’

The problem, of course, is that the Alpha Course, while offering much that is perfectly orthodox, thus enticing the unsuspecting, is also contaminated with a significant amount of leaven.

And, as we are told in Galatians 5:9: “A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.”

What is that leaven? Well, it very much relies on emotionialism and puts an over emphasis on the Holy Spirit to the detriment of focusing on the blood of Jesus Christ, which alone can atone for sin.

This is a common feature of much of the charismatic movement and the Alpha Course’s leader, Nicky Gumbel (pictured, top), falls very much into the charismatic category.

A 1994 Time Magazine article entitled “Laughing for the Lord” says:

“It’s Sunday evening in London’s fashionable Knightsbridge neighborhood. Though pathetically tiny flocks of Londoners attend many Anglican services, Holy Trinity Brompton has a standing-room-only turnout of 1500. After the usual Scripture readings, prayers and singing, the chairs are cleared away. Curate Nicky Gumbel prays that the Holy Spirit will come upon the congregation. Soon a woman begins laughing. Others gradually join her with hearty belly laughs. A young worshipper falls to the floor, hands twitching. Another falls, then another and another. Within half an hour there are bodies everywhere as supplicants sob, shake, roar like lions, and strangest of all laugh uncontrollably. This frenzied display has become known as the ‘laughing revival’ or ‘Toronto Blessing’. After first appearing at Holy Trinity only last May, laughing revivals have been reported in Anglican parishes from Manchester to York to Brighton.”

Does that sound much like true worship of the almighty, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent God?

How can roaring like a lion and laughing like a hyena be in any way pleasing to God? Where is such nonsense found in the Bible?

The answer of course is that it is not found in the Bible.

Nicky Gumbel would claim this was a sign of the Holy Spirit coming upon his congregation.

However, any look at the Bible would see that those who were filled with the Holy Spirit acted in a manner so far removed from laughing like a hyena and roaring like a lion that to even make the comparison is rendered blatantly ludicrous.

Acts 13:6-12: “And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Bar-jesus: Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God. But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith. Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him, And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord? And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand. Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord.”

Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, reproved the worker of iniquity and his expounding of doctrine led to the conversion of Sergius Paulus. No mention of him rolling on the floor like an eejit.

Acts 11:24: “For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord.”

This passage speaks of Barnabas, who was “full of the Holy Ghost”. Nowhere is he recorded as being in some sort of trance like state. His infilling of the Holy Ghost was demonstrated through his faith.

Exodus 31:1-3: “And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah: And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship”.

How was the infilling of the Holy Spirit of Bezaleel, who played a key role in the construction of the tabernacle, manifested? Through his wisdom, understanding, knowledge and workmanship. None of these are consistent with laughing uncontrollably while rolling around the floor and roaring like a lion.

And given the unholy nature of this charismatic campaign waged by Nicky Gumbel and the practices and he behaviours he espouses, it should make us very wary indeed of the Alpha Course.

Sadly, it has gained much ground and has elevated Nicky Gumbel to essentially the position of the Pope of what is known as the emerging church, the non-denominational, charismatic, easy-believist fellowship type churches which have sprung up in the past 25 years, with the Emmanuel Church in the Craigavon area and Causeway Coast Vineyard Church two of the most prominent examples in our land.

Each year, Alpha hosts a leadership conference and the most recent one, which took place last May but whose speakers we have only recently became aware of, included a lengthy, fawning interview with a Roman Catholic cardinal.

Cardinal Luis Tagle is the most senior Roman Catholic churchman in the Philippines, a devoutly Roman Catholic country.

And a major theme of the saccharine interview was a Papal Mass, at which 6 million poor deluded people were in attendance, which Cardinal Luis Tagle organised.

He received a warm round of applause from the congregation in attendance for enabling so many people to be misled by “that Antichrist”, the Pope.

This is how Nicky Gumbel introduced that practitioner of Papist priestcraft to the audience: “Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle is Archbishop of Manila in the Philippines, where there are 82 million Catholics. He serves as president of Caritas International, the Catholic relief organisation, which is the largest charity in the world. He is president of the Catholic Biblical Federation, which operates in 126 countries around the world. In January 2015, he hosted Pope Francis’ visit to the Philippines which included the fourth largest ever gathering of people in history, when 6 million people gathered in a Papal Mass. We are very honoured to have him here, would you give a warm welcome to Cardinal Tagle.”

Cue much whooping and cheering and clapping from the audience.

We are reminded of 2 John 1:10-11, which says: “If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.”

It is an appalling situation.

The love-in of an interview saw the perma-smirking Nicky Gumbel gush over the wonderful skills of this incredibly senior emissary of Papal deceit.

And such sycophancy towards a representative of the evil Romanist system has the very clear and obvious effect of making the dupes in attendance believe that Rome is not so bad and the Pope is someone to at least be faintly admired, rather than treated with revulsion.

Nicky Gumbel then asked Cardinal Luis Tagle about the spiritual disciplines he follows, and Cardinal Luis Tagle revealed he is a follower of the ‘Examen’, the meditative prayer ritual created by the Jesuit founder and leader of the Counter Reformation, Ignatius of Loyola.

Interestingly, it is also the same ritualistic spiritual practice which was disgracefully espoused by Emmanuel Church leader Alain Emerson at a service he led there back in November.

Discussing the spiritual disciplines he follows, Cardinal Luis Tagle says: “I have learned from my seminary mentors, who are Jesuit priests, to do the examination of consciousness.”

That sounds very much like meditation, doesn’t it? Also, Cardinal Luis Tagle is very open about his influences from the Jesuits, the order which led the Counter Reformation in which untold numbers of Protestants were murdered for defending the doctrine of salvation by faith alone in Christ alone.

Nicky Gumbel, as the minister of Holy Trinity Brompton, an Anglican Church, would know this, but he has clearly decided to ignore it and reject that knowledge which would make any minister worth their salt put clear water between them and Rome.

And it makes his response all the more appalling and reprehensible.

He says: “Explain that for us who haven’t had the benefit.”

Nicky Gumbel chooses to encourage an emissary of Papal deceit to spread false practices, holding him up as someone to follow.

This is the action of the man behind the Alpha Course and we would encourage anyone who attends a church which runs the Alpha Course or advocates it to challenge them on why they are running it.

We would certainly implore you not to submit yourself to this course or any who promote it.

Let us be separate from all such error and manifestations of compromise with the lies of Rome.

2 Corinthians 6:17: ‘Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you”.

Ecumenists close Henry Cooke’s old church, May Street Presbyterian as charismatics take over

Old dead ecumenism in the traditional churches has led to the ringing of many a death knell on old churches and May Street Presbyterian Church is the latest to fall victim to the onward march of ecumenical compromise.

Once the clerical domain of that great Presbyterian figure, Rev Henry Cooke, who led the purging of Arians and Arminians from his denomination, May Street has long been reduced to a husk of a church, hence its closure as of last week.

Sad as it is to see a church go, it is equally sad to see it will now be put to use by some of the leading figures in the charismatic movement in Northern Ireland.

Central Belfast, a church under the auspices of Carnmoney Presbyterian Church, will take over the running of the church.

Readers of ‘Protestant Revival’ will be well aware of Carnmoney Presbyterian Church.

We first highlighted the antics which go on under its roof when we pointed out the foolish, irreverent action of its minister, Rev John Dickinson, who allowed himself to be carried out of the church in a ‘crowd surfing’ manner by the foolish people in attendance.

This action, in fairness to Rev John Dickinson (pictured, below), was prompted and encouraged by that leader of the 24-7 Prayer movement and ardent ecumenist, Pete Greig.

We previously wrote about him helping the Roman Catholic Church to lure more people through its doors and about how he claimed God had told him that He was “quite enjoying” a bunch of young women prayer dancing to the music of ABBA.

And it was his prompting which led to the embarrassing incident in Carnmoney Presbyterian Church, which saw Rev John Dickinson later giving a rather sheepish interview to the Belfast Telegraph indicating he didn’t plan to repeat such a ludicrous activity.

However, Rev John Dickinson was then entirely responsible for his actions when he tweeted his excitement at reading the life story of Vicky Beeching, noted Contemporary Christian Musician and so-called ‘gay Christian’, who describes herself as an ‘LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) equality campaigner’.

The book he expressed delight at reading is entitled ‘Undivided: Coming Out, Becoming Whole, And Living Free From Shame’, hardly a subtle title.

Regardless, these are the credentials of the minister of the parent church which has taken over the May Street Presbyterian Church building.

The old congregation has left after 190 years of worship on that site and, glorying in ecumenical compromise to the end, had a Romanist priest in attendance to wave them off.

‘Father’ Michael McGinnity of the nearby St Malachy’s Roman Catholic Church, which, a Belfast Telegraph article reporting on the matter says has “long been associated” with May Street Presbyterian Church, did a reading at the meeting.

May Street Presbyterian Church played host to a meeting of the ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ prayer initiative last May, organised by the local leader of the 24-7 Prayer movement, Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson, the glorifier of Jesuit founder Ignatius of Loyola and lead pastor of Emmanuel Church in the Craigavon area.

‘Thy Kingdom Come’ is an ecumenical prayer initiative and has the backing of Rome, who produce prayer guides for those looking to take part in it.

And there it was, devoted to ecumenism to the last, even though departure from God is what closed it.

The church has amalgamated with Fisherwick Presbyterian Church and is the second ecumenical Presbyterian church to close in the past few months. It is following hot on the heels of Fortwilliam and Macrory Presbyterian Church, itself an amalgamation and formerly led by ‘Rev’ Lesley Carroll, a woman who expressed her desire for ecumenism to make progress in Northern Ireland at a Week of Prayer for Christian Unity event in a Roman Catholic chapel in County Tyrone.

She is also the Deputy Chief Commissioner of the (In)Equality Commission which brought the disgraceful legal action against Asher’s bakery.

This clearly demonstrates that ecumenism, which is a departure from God’s Word, leads to destruction, as has befallen Fortwilliam and Macrory and now May Street Presbyterian churches.

Jeremiah 29:17-19 speaks of how the people of Israel were warned about their apostasy yet failed to listen to God’s servants and they were taken into captivity by the Babylonians.

Ulster has had many faithful servants speaking out against ecumenism and other forms of religious betrayal. However, so many have refused to listen and May Street is the latest to reap this sorry harvest.

Those verses say: “Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Behold, I will send upon them the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, and will make them like vile figs, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil. And I will persecute them with the sword, with the famine, and with the pestilence, and will deliver them to be removed to all the kingdoms of the earth, to be a curse, and an astonishment, and an hissing, and a reproach, among all the nations whither I have driven them: Because they have not hearkened to my words, saith the Lord, which I sent unto them by my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them; but ye would not hear, saith the Lord.”

The service at May Street was called a ‘Dawning Of A New Era’ service, which is something of a fairly euphemistic badge to put upon death.

However, there is an element of accuracy to this as well as it refers to the new era of charismatism taking over as the chief interest of much of professing Christendom.

Just as straightforward ecumenism was de rigueur a number of decades ago, the charismatic movement, which eschews traditional, Biblical theology in favour of creating a venue of entertainment, is now all the rage.

The old dead churches are striving to survive by bringing in the rock bands and turning church into a concert and, in many cases, are currently enjoying a surge in popularity.

And, with Central Belfast, headed up by Rev John Dickinson’s son, David Dickinson (pictured, top), that is exactly what is happening.

David Dickinson also presumably didn’t have an issue with ‘Father’ Michael McGinnity being in attendance at the meeting as he too was there to apparently receive a special baton from May Street’s clerk of session, Arthur Acheson.

This is also a fine allegory for the passing of the baton from old style ecumenism, which has led to the death of so many churches, to the new charismatic ecumenism.

It is no less deadly, but gives the appearance of life as its adherents jump up and down to the latest inane, shallow compilations put together by the revered worship leaders so beloved in such establishments.

Dear reader, please don’t be taken in by this attractive to the senses veneer applied to the same old dead ecumenism which leads so many astray.

Instead, separate yourself from such and dedicate yourself to actually honouring God, rather than claiming to do so while engaging in actions which run contrary to that very claim.

1 Peter 1:15-17, 23: “But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.”

Emmanuel leader Dave Wylie calls Papist monk a ‘hero of church history’

The Romanist connections of Emmanuel Church, based in the Craigavon area, continue to be strengthened and expanded upon by its lead pastors.

This is so much and so clearly the case that justifiably its best known figure has earned the moniker Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson.

In addition to speaking at, leading and organising a host of events in full agreement with Rome, last month we revealed the truly disgraceful, heretical message he preached in the Emmanuel Church in which he glorified Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Romanist Jesuit order and leader of the Counter Reformation.

Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson (pictured, below) then led the poor people in the congregation in getting them to engage in the ‘Spiritual Exercises’ of that evil man.

Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson is ably assisted in his ecumenical compromise by fellow lead pastors, Philip Emerson and Dave Wylie.

Both of those men took part in the ecumenical, charismatic ‘New Wine’ Conference in the summertime, at which three Romanist speakers were invited. Next year’s conference has already agreed to bring back one of those Papist deceivers, which you can read about by clicking here.

And we have now discovered that, in the same series of meetings held by Emmanuel Church, entitled ‘The Practice’, Dave Wylie has led the congregation into practicing what is today considered a Benedictine ritual meditation called Lectio Divina.

The Benedictines are an order of Roman Catholic monks.

This is another instance of Romish practices being taught and encouraged in what is allegedly a God-exalting church.

Speaking in the service from 7th October, which you can access by going to the Emmanuel Church Lurgan website, Dave Wylie introduces the Lectio Divina process thus: “There were four steps given by this monk called Guigo Carthusi I think is his name in 1173 and there’s been other heroes of church history that have used this”.

He is referring to a man known as Guigo II, a Carthusian Roman Catholic monk, who was a Prior of the Carthusian Order.

So Dave Wylie is holding on a pedestal an emissary of Papal deceit, describing him as a “hero of church history”.

It certainly is a bizarre thing for someone in his position to consider a leading figure in the Roman Catholic Church to be a hero of church history.

Which church is he referring to? Does Dave Wylie consider himself to be of the religious lineage of a Roman Catholic monk?

It certainly is interesting that Emmanuel Church leaders appear to be engaged in a repeated campaign to eulogise and promote architects of Romish practices and deceitful spiritual exercises.

Indeed, they are promoting that which is and those who are absolutely opposite to Biblical Christianity.

Lectio Divina, the practice espoused by Dave Wylie and which he claims has changed his life in his message brought to the Emmanuel Church, is a contemplative meditative method of reading the Bible.

It is essentially another form of mysticism, and that word is something which cropped up in Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson’s extolling of the leader of Protestant persecution, Ignatius of Loyola.

This is what Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson had to say: “He had some profound mystical experiences, and it was in those mystical experiences that he wrote what’s called his ‘Spiritual Practices’.”

All this is leading the church’s adherents into mystical experiences, an emptying of the mind, akin to the Popish practice of Taizé, which Alain Emerson led the practicing of in St Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church in Belfast back in February of this year. The picture below shows him leading the service in that hub of Romanism.

And Lectio Divina is a process heartily recommended by the previous Pope, Benedict XVI, who said: “I would like in particular to recall and recommend the ancient tradition of lectio divina: the diligent reading of Sacred Scripture accompanied by prayer brings about that intimate dialogue in which the person reading hears God who is speaking, and in praying, responds to him with trusting openness of heart.”

What Lectio Divina teaches is of some new revelation from God to the reader, despite the fact we have a full revelation in the Bible, which God’s Word itself attests.

Revelation 22:18-19 says: “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”

We are not to add to or take from the Word of God, but this is what Lectio Divina does, often encouraging the reader to boil down the passage they are reading to one or two words or a single phrase, repeating it over and over to help enter a trance like state.

As well as there being no new revelation from God, we need no new revelation from God as His Word is perfect.

Look at Psalm 19:7-14: “The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward. Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults. Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression. Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord , my strength, and my redeemer.”

David yearned for the meditation of his heart to be acceptable to God, but the meditative practices espoused by Romish monks, Pope Benedict XVI and Dave Wylie are most certainly not acceptable unto God.

There appears to be consistently polluted worship being offered up in Emmanuel Church and we would implore all readers to warn their friends, family and neighbours to stay clear of this and other churches where such blasphemy is taught.

Such polluted worship is condemned in very strong terms by God, and a great example of this is in the prophecy of Amos, when he, under God’s instruction, said in Amos 5:21-23: “I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies. Though ye offer me burnt offerings and your meat offerings, I will not accept them: neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat beasts. Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols.”

Such churches are notable for the emphasis on ‘praise’ music, where as loud a racket as possible is made in the name of worship of God, but is in fact more akin to a rock concert.

Dear reader, please turn away from churches which are teaching such mysticism and Romanism, and instead focus on what the Bible actually has to say, and not what some would-be theologians prattle on about, leading many poor souls astray.

Emmanuel leader Alain Emerson glorifies Jesuit founder and Counter Reformation leader, Ignatius of Loyola

The lead pastor of the Emmanuel Church in the Craigavon area, Alain Emerson, has glorified the founder of the notorious Roman Catholic Jesuit Order, Ignatius of Loyola, and led his church’s followers in following his practices.

On this page we have previously described Alain Emerson as Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson, due to his repeated association with Romanism.

This is a moniker he has well and truly earned.

Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson has previously spoken in a Roman Catholic chapel in Belfast (the scene of which is pictured below) as part of the ecumenical ‘Four Corners Festival’, at which he endorsed the ecumenical, anti-Christian, ritualistic, Taizé style of prayer.

Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson has organised an ecumenical prayer initiative called ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ under the auspices of the 24-7 Prayer movement, a grouping whose leader, Pete Greig, is helping the Roman Catholic Church in Austria gain more followers.

Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson has spoken at a meeting of the ecumenical Ballymena Church Members Forum, a group comprised of Romanists and whose meetings are advertised in the Roman Catholic parish bulletin for Ballymena.

Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson has endorsed the ecumenical ‘Heal The Land’ prayer initiative, which a Roman Catholic group also endorsed, with a video featuring its leader encouraging Roman Catholics to attend being uploaded on the ‘Heal The Land’ facebook page.

All of those things were disgraceful in their own right for the leader of a supposedly God-exalting church to be engaging in.

However, this latest act of Popery, and it can be called nothing else, is by far the most grievous and anti-Scriptural activity he has engaged in yet.

In fact, we would go so far as to say it is the single worst act of betrayal of true Christianity we have came across yet on this page. It is truly outrageous.

In the meeting, which he held on Sunday night past, 4th November in the Lurgan Emmanuel Church (there are two, the other being in the nearby town of Portadown), he led his followers in practising the ‘Examen’, a prayer ritual devised by Ignatius of Loyola.

Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson also extolled the virtues of Ignatius of Loyola, who is the founder and original leader of the Society of Jesus, or Jesuits, the order which led the Counter Reformation under the Pope’s authority.

This is the group which sought to snuff out the light of the gospel which God had gloriously unveiled through Martin Luther and many others during the Protestant Reformation.

They did it by any means possible, and the Jesuits were leading figures in the bloody Spanish Inquisition, in which untold millions of Protestants, Jews and Muslims were tortured, maimed and murdered.

It is noteworthy that Bertrand Russell, a Noble Prize winning author and historian, in his ‘A History of Western Philosophy’, stated this of the Jesuits: “Protestant success, at first amazingly rapid, was checked mainly as a result of Loyola’s creation of the Jesuit order.”

So this is the grouping which, responding to the rise of true Christianity, ie Protestantism, acted to ensure the enlightenment of precious, never-dying souls, was restricted as much as possible, and they were noted to be successful in doing so, and thus leading millions of souls to hell.

And Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson is teaching his church’s adherents to follow in their founder’s footsteps.

During his sermon (which you can hear online by visiting their website, clicking on the ‘resources’ tab and then on podcasts), he says to his audience about “a dude called Ignatius of Loyola”.

And this is what Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson then says a couple of minutes later about him.

“He had some profound mystical experiences, and it was in those mystical experiences that he wrote what’s called his ‘Spiritual Practices’.

“Now the reason I want to say this is, I feel that we are having some profound times with Jesus these days and I think there’s more profound times with Jesus to come, where He wants to completely undo us with His love.”

We’ll just cut into Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson’s spiel here and say not to worry if you don’t understand what the previous paragraph means, because it means nothing. It’s gibberish intended to sound deep and spiritual so as to impress those listening, but it really is as deep as a teaspoon of water.

Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson continues: “And when that happens you have to steward that well and you have to have certain practices in place that don’t take that for granted. That allow us to engage with that and train others to do that and this is what Ignatius is doing.

“He has encountered something fresh of the Lord.

“It’s through him that when he goes to university in Paris and he starts to gather a few friends and they start to pray and get passionate for Jesus together that they start this, what we know as the Jesuits, or the Society of Jesus, which has gone on to send missionaries all over the world.”

We’ll just point out that at no stage has Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson stated that the Jesuits are a Roman Catholic order, and at no point does he even use the words “Roman Catholic”. This is quite deliberate and it becomes clear this is quite deliberate with his next breath.

He says: “So remember this is probably round the time of the Reformation, so they’re all trying to work it out.”

They’re all trying to work it out?!? Is that Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson’s assessment of the Reformation period?

The Reformation was not about “trying to work it out”, the Reformation was when the shackles of Rome’s false gospel of salvation by works and devotion to her was thrown off gloriously throughout large chunks of Europe. It was God moving mightily to the saving of countless precious souls.

Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson also says there it was “probably round the time of the Reformation”. He knows rightly that it was or he wouldn’t have mentioned it in the first place. In his sermon he points out the year Ignatius of Loyola was born so he knows exactly when he was active.

Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson continues further: “There’s been huge problems with the church of that day. The Reformation has been a reaction to that but also within that there was certain moments and certain men like this who wanted the real thing, who wanted Jesus more than anything else pushed into his heart, pushed into his presence, were changed and transformed and led others in it.”

Ignatius of Loyola “wanted the real thing?” Ignatius of Loyola determinedly did not want the real thing as his mission from the Pope was to crush the doctrine of salvation by faith alone and all who believed in it.

And so on the heresy goes from Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson, as he says: “I love the fact that then he writes the ‘Spiritual Practices’.

“Isn’t it brilliant in that time of, you know, history, that people kind of argued over things like how to become like Jesus. Today we argue over theology, what we believe and what we don’t believe. In that day people argued over what was the best way or practice, or set of exercises to become like Jesus.

“That would be a far better argument, wouldn’t it? It would be a far better argument to go, well, is it this way or is it that way? That was the argument, and while it mightn’t have been nice all the time, at least it was about how to become like Jesus, not about who’s right.”

The Reformation period was precisely about theology and what was right and what was wrong.

The Bible clearly states salvation is “not of works” (Ephesians 2:9) and that is the principle on which the Reformers stood.

Rome states that any who believes in the doctrine of salvation by faith alone are to be “anathema”, pronouncing their curses on such as heretics.

The Reformation was absolutely about what we believe.

Rome had no interest in being like Jesus, it was only interested in its own superiority and hegemony throughout Europe.

And to say “it mightn’t have been nice all the time” is not even an understatement, it’s a disgraceful and wilful effort to mislead his followers.

The Jesuits figured prominently in the murder and maiming of millions during the centuries-long Inquisition held by the Roman Catholic Church.

They struck out against true Christianity and were famed for their torture of those who disagreed with the false religion of Rome.

Yet Alain Emerson wants his followers to copy the ‘Spiritual Practices’ of that bloodthirsty order’s founder. He says “he loves the fact” that Ignatius of Loyola wrote them.

These ‘Spiritual Practices’ contain the worship of Mary, the reciting of the ‘Hail Mary’ as well as instructing people to do the rosary. Perhaps this will be next at Emmanuel Church in Lurgan and Portadown?

Has Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson been preparing the way with all his ecumenical conduct to allow such practices to take place?

He certainly has attendees of Emmanuel taking part in the spiritual practices of one of the most evil men who ever lived.

Perhaps a hint of his admiration of Jesuitry can be seen through his Twitter posting from 21 August, where he quotes a noted Jesuit priest, called Pierre Teilhard de Chardin (pictured, below). Interestingly, the same Papist was quoted by the preacher of error, Bishop Michael Curry, in his wedding ‘sermon’ during the marriage ceremony of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The worship of Mary is nowhere taught in the Bible. In fact, the Bible is clear we are to “have no other gods” in Exodus 20:3.

1 Timothy 2:5 says: “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus”.

We don’t go through Mary to get to God, despite what Ignatius of Loyola claimed.

Indeed, on a website called ‘Jesuits in Ireland’, his devotion to Mary is clearly stated.

In an article entitled ‘Mary – How she made a new man of Ignatius’, it says: “As for the founder of the Jesuits, Saint Ignatius of Loyola, he had such a lasting devotion to Our Lady that we could say every month was Mary’s month for Ignatius. Mary played a vital role in the calling and vocation of Ignatius. Long before he was ordained a priest or founded the Jesuits, he had already developed a deep affection for the Blessed Virgin Mary”.

Let us state clearly, this is from an article written by Jesuits celebrating Ignatius of Loyola. Mary worship is a despicable heresy and rejection of God’s Word. But it is in the ‘Spiritual Practices’ of Ignatius of Loyola, the practices Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson is imploring his followers to adhere to.

If you or anyone you know is caught up in the church ran by this man, we implore you to withdraw from it immediately and for you to implore everyone you know involved in it to do the same.

He is like those in Matthew 15:7-9, of whom Jesus says: “Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”

Teaching such falsehoods makes someone a false teacher, such as were warned of in 2 Peter 2:1-3.

Those verses say: “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.”

Is not Alain Emerson privily bringing in damnable heresies? How many people in Emmanuel Church on Sunday night were wise to his deceits? We would venture to say there were very few, if any.

Alain Emerson carefully refused to say the words “Roman Catholic” throughout. He deliberately misled those listening about the Reformation and Loyola’s inextricable links to opposing it. This is because he knows there would have been those present most likely for whom alarm bells would have been going off.

Mind you, the word Jesuit should surely have been enough to sound alarm bells in people’s minds. The current Pope is a Jesuit, something which was dwelled upon at the time the current Pope took over that blasphemous position.

But those in attendance are the many following his “pernicious ways” and this is leading those who follow it to one place – damnation.

What a frightful thought that is.

We would encourage everyone reading this to go back to our Facebook page and share this to warn as many as possible of the dreadful heresy being preached in that church to try to pull the attendees as brands from the burning out of the clutches of this grievous false prophet.

This is an urgent matter, and one not to be delayed upon, for the precious souls of men and women are at stake.

Ezekiel 12:21-28 highlights how we don’t know when God will move in judgment against those prophesying lies and those who choose to believe them.

“And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Son of man, what is that proverb that ye have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision faileth? Tell them therefore, Thus saith the Lord God; I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but say unto them, The days are at hand, and the effect of every vision. For there shall be no more any vain vision nor flattering divination within the house of Israel. For I am the Lord: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord God. Again the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that he seeth is for many days to come, and he prophesieth of the times that are far off. Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord God.”

Let us not be too late in our warnings to those who are under the influence of church leaders teaching such damnable heresies as the practices of an evil, bloodthirsty, Mary-worshipping, Papist.

24-7 Prayer leader Pete Greig helping Roman Catholic Church lure more people in

Leading charismatic figure Pete Greig, a friend of ecumenical groups such as the Emmanuel Church in the Craigavon area and Causeway Coast Vineyard in Coleraine, has spoken in a Romanist chapel to help advise the Roman Catholic Church how to lure more people back into its clutches.

Pete Greig (pictured, top) is a leading figure in the organisation 24-7 Prayer, an ecumenical initiative openly and unashamedly promoting ecumenical compromise with Rome.

This is the same organisation which Emmanuel lead pastor Alain Emerson heads up in Ireland, something we previously focused on when highlighting Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson promoting the ecumenical ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ prayer initiative, which has the backing of the Pope, under the auspices of 24-7 Prayer Ireland.

Indeed, Pete Greig was one of the ‘celebrity’ speakers at Emmanuel Church’s recent ‘Tobar’ Conference.

And just a few weeks ago, Pete Greig was addressing the diocesan assembly of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Vienna held in St Stephen’s Roman Catholic Cathedral in the Austrian capital.

This was reported on the Roman Catholic news outlet, ‘The Tablet’.

He had been invited at the behest of the Roman Catholic cardinal, Christoph Schonborn, who told the same conference that ecumenical dialogue with churches like those represented by Pete Greig was “imperative”.

The day previously, Pete Greig had been the main speaker at the assembly.

Tweeting afterwards, he said: “Truly wonderful time in Vienna addressing 1,700 bishops, nuns, priests, laity from every church in the Archdiocese. Extraordinary signs of renewal – ‘unthinkable 9 years ago’ says the Cardinal. Not least letting a mug like me loose amongst them.”

Faux modesty aside, though of course many a truth is spoken in jest, Pete Greig has openly admitted to and indeed appears to be rejoicing in helping give the cause of Rome a boost in Austria – what a shameful situation.

The Roman Catholic Church is an anti-Christian organisation which denies the gospel message of salvation by faith alone. How anyone who claims to be a Christian should want to associate with and indeed encourage Rome is truly a mystery.

What is certain is that the Bible rejects such conduct.

2 John v 9-11 says: “Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.”

Pete Greig is making himself a partner of the evil deeds of Rome by acting in the way that he has.

The article from ‘The Tablet’ gives away why the Roman Catholic Church in Astria has enlisted the help of useful idiots like Pete Greig.

It states that, in 2011, Cardinal Schonborn had “invited Free Church (a name given to less traditional so-called Protestant churches) leaders to a meeting at Passau (a German town) as he wanted to know why the Free Churches were growing so fast. It was after that meeting seven years ago that the Cardinal had decided that the Free Churches should be regarded ‘as partners and not opponents’.”

Ecumenism, then, was identified as the route to a reinvigoration of the Roman Catholic Church in Austria.

This is backed up by a further quote in the article from Cardinal Schonborn.

He said: “Catholics and members of the Free Churches must learn from one another without losing their own identity.”

So the same man who describes ecumenism as “imperative” also wants to avoid the Roman Catholic Church losing its own identity.

This is indicative of the attitude of Rome in such matters – they may change their approach but they never change their nature. That is what Vatican II was about, the chief feature of which was a drive towards ecumenical unity.

Jeremiah 13:23 asks, and answers, the question: “Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.”

Rome is so ingrained in its sin that one could as easily change their skin colour as Rome could throw off its evil customs and doctrines.

A week after Pete Greig’s appearance in the home of the papacy in Vienna, the same venue played host to a prayer meeting jointly held by a group called the ‘Loretto Movement’ and what is described in the article as “the Free Church 24-7 Prayer Initiative”.

Pete Greig is called a ‘Team Leader’ in the 24-7 Prayer organisation and is seen as the founder of the organisation.

The Loretto Movement is a Roman Catholic youth organisation currently enjoying significant popularity in Austria and which is inextricably linked with 24-7 Prayer.

Here are a few excerpts from articles on the 24-7 Prayer website.

“A team from 24-7 Prayer and Alpha recently spent a remarkable weekend celebrating Pentecost with the Loretto movement in Austria. A few years ago the leaders read ‘Red Moon Rising’ (the handbook of 24-7 Prayer, written by, you guessed it, Pete Greig) and 24-7 Prayer Rooms are now at the heart of Loretto’s vision and growth.

“The Salzburg celebration is the big event of the Loretto calendar and is growing year by year. Over 5,000 young people crammed into Salzburg Cathedral. Pete Greig spoke on the Saturday morning on the importance of prayer and the local radio reported that it was the first time for many years that a non Catholic had spoken in the Cathedral” (article dated 29 May, 2013).

“Years ago, one of the leaders of Loretto was given a copy of Pete Greig’s book, Red Moon Rising. Since then, Loretto communities have added weeks of 24-7 Prayer to their rhythms.

“A fast friendship between Loretto Movement and 24-7 Prayer was born and over the last few years we have spent much time with each other, visiting each other’s communities and attending each other’s events.

“We’re so excited for the European Conference in Vienna this October in partnership with Loretto. Catholics and Protestants in the upper room of prayer, glorifying God and bringing forth His kingdom together” (article dated 11 September, 2018).

Roman Catholics and Protestants praying together – to whom are they praying? Rome teaches of intercession being made by Mary and various other saints, the Bible teaches, and true Protestants believe there is “one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 2:5).

This is a frightening situation, where a so-called Christian is glorying in aiding the cause of the Roman Catholic Church, which has damned untold millions to hell through its false gospel of works.

And the man behind all this, Pete Greig, is welcomed with open arms into many churches in our land who claim to be Christ exalting and his 24-7 Prayer initiative is followed by so many churches.

As we have stated already, this includes the Emmanuel Church in the Craigavon area, who had Pete Greig at their Tobar Conference, held in June.

This also includes the Causeway Coast Vineyard, the church whose former lead pastor, Alan Scott, (pictured, above) said during his tenure there that he was “all in” with the Pope. A key backer of that church is Evangelical Alliance leader Peter Lynas, a man who repeatedly engages in ecumenical activity with Rome.

Pete Greig also has spoken in Lisburn Cathedral (Church of Ireland), a church which every Easter takes part in an ecumenical walk of witness with, among others, the Roman Catholic Church in that city.

And it will come as no surprise to long time readers that it was Pete Greig who prompted the pathetic, irreverent, childish crowd-surfing act in Carnmoney Presbyterian Church, where Rev John Dickinson (pictured, below), the man who endorsed the lesbian ‘Christian’ LGBT campaigner Vicky Beeching, was carried out of the church by the poor dupes in the congregation. Pete Greig was the guest speaker on that infamous night.

We would implore all readers to share this article with anyone they know who may be caught up in any church which takes anything to do with the 24-7 Prayer Initiative and anyone they know who may be caught up with any of the churches mentioned above and to encourage themselves to separate from them.

‘Papist’ Peter Lynas and ‘Roman’ Robbie’s pastor, Brian Madden, back ecumenical ‘Healing The Land’ prayer event

Much like Presidential campaigns in the USA, the easy-believist, ecumenical, charismatic movement loves to get its celebrity endorsements and they waited until the night before the big event to pull out the big gun, the leader of the Evangelical Alliance, ‘Papist’ Peter Lynas.

‘Papist’ Peter Lynas rounded off the line-up of leading lights in the easy-believist circle of compromisers plugging the indisputably ecumenical ‘Healing The Land’ prayer event at Nutts Corner today (Saturday, 8 September). You can read more about the festival of compromise by clicking here.

He followed in the downward steps of numerous other characters by encouraging Christians to attend a prayer event with the stamp of approval of Rome.

This event has got the backing of Human Life International, a Roman Catholic grouping dedicated to upholding Roman Catholic teaching, as it is, of course, entitled to do.

However, the big issue comes when you ask why supposedly Christian leaders like ‘Papist’ Peter Lynas, Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson and others want to have religious fellowship with adherents to and propagators of the blasphemous teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.

It would be understandable were such characters inviting Roman Catholics to attend the event so they could hear the gospel and be saved, but that is quite clearly not the case or else an organisation whose mission is to spread Catholic dogma would not be encouraging people to attend.

Yet, in his video, which you can view on their facebook page, ‘Papist’ Peter Lynas says ‘Healing The Land’ is a “really great event”.

That opinion is certainly shared by Patrick McCrystal of Human Life International, who, as we previously wrote about, also encouraged “the people of God”, be they “Protestant, Catholic or all non-denominational” to attend the event.

It is also most informative to visit the website of Human Life International (Ireland) and of particular interest is their mission statement, which you can view by clicking here.

It begins by saying its mission is “to advance and promote the authentic teachings of the religion of the Catholic Church”.

A little further down, they ask the question, “How do we fulfil our mission?”

They explain that they do it through “Catholic apologetics training”, “organising Catholic conferences and retreats” and “promotion of Catholic Church teaching”, among other things.

Most applicable to this event is another one of their means by which they fulfil their mission of “advanc[ing] and promot[ing] the authentic teachings of the religion of the Catholic Church”, and that is through “constant campaigning for prayer and fasting for the entire faith / pro-life effort in Ireland. In particular, our annual rosary campaign, Holy Face devotion promotion, prayer and fasting campaigns.”

So ‘Healing The Land’ is helping an openly and avowedly Roman Catholic organisation to fulfil its mission through this prayer event.

Of course, the term “the entire faith / pro-life effort” gives the ecumenical game away as well, but only if you choose to see it. Organisers of ‘Healing The Land’ clearly do not wish to see it.

And, should anyone try to say that such an event is still praiseworthy because it may be of some benefit to the soul of the Roman Catholic, we will remind them of the words of Romans 3:7-8: “For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner? And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.”

Good does not come of evil and fellowshipping with the unclean thing that is Romanism is undoubtedly evil.

There are here very strong words – the Holy Spirit says this of those who think good will come from doing evil – their “damnation is just”.

Oh how seriously God looks upon such matters and oh how grievous it is that we should even countenance doing such when we see how it vexes our God.

Yet this is what is being done, and in God’s name, at ‘Healing The Land’.

Another way of expressing the damnable heresy so clearly warned against in that passage is to say, ‘the end justifies the means’.

That is, of course, the famous catchphrase of the Jesuits, that vicious school of Romanism used to lead the Counter Reformation, a movement of the devil to snuff out the glorious light of the gospel after it had been so wonderfully revealed by God through Martin Luther and others.

That shows the anti-Christian spirit abroad within this whole ecumenical venture.

‘Papist’ Peter Lynas, of course, attracted attention when defending ‘Roman’ Robbie Butler, an Ulster Unionist Party MLA and deacon in Maghaberry Elim Church, for scuttling down to Dublin to meet the Pope. The Pope never saw fit to even look at ‘Roman’ Robbie Butler (pictured, below), but he made sure to be there just in case “that man of sin” condescended to look upon him.

Afterwards, ‘Roman’ Robbie Butler wrote in the Belfast Telegraph expressing his “regret” that the World Meeting of Families, the event which brought Pope Francis to the Republic of Ireland, had not sparked greater enthusiasm for the Roman Catholic Church.

We said at the time of his meeting the Pope that it raised questions for Maghaberry Elim and its pastor, Brian Madden.

It didn’t take him long to answer them.

Within just a few hours, Pastor Brian Madden had ‘shared’ a post on facebook by, guess who? ‘Healing The Land’, naturally.

And he did the same thing a few days later when he ‘shared’ a second post from ‘Healing The Land’ on facebook.

It really is little wonder that ‘Roman’ Robbie Butler was so keen to consort with Popery when his pastor is doing the same.

As Jesus said in Matthew 15:14: “…they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.”

The ditches are being filled up by pastors who fail to warn their congregations of the danger of compromising with that which is wrong.

And all the while the gaps in the hedges are increasing, as so few are willing to take their stand for Christ and instead they preach that which pleases the ears of the people but grieves the Almighty in heaven.

Ezekiel 13:3-6: “Thus saith the Lord God; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing! O Israel, thy prophets are like the foxes in the deserts. Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the Lord. They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The Lord saith: and the Lord hath not sent them: and they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word.”

And one of the characters whose video plugging the ‘Healing The Land’ event was shared by Pastor Brian Madden was that of Alan Graham, which you can see pictured below.

In his video, he says he has been working in Zimbabwe for over 20 years and involved with the Child Evangelism Fellowship for 30 years.

He does not say in his video he has recently retired from that role, and by not saying that this has, sadly, had the effect of making it appear as if the CEF has given its approval of the event when it has not. Whether or not that is deliberate, we cannot tell.

However, it is sad to say Alan Graham has added his name to the list of those who have compromised themselves with Rome by endorsing such an event.

This event, which is being used by a Romanist organisation to fulfil their mission to “advance and promote the authentic teachings of the Catholic Church”, is sucking in a great number of so-called Protestants who would claim to be God exalting.

What a terrible mess this is.

We would just return to the need for men to stand in the gaps in the hedges and to the book of Ezekiel.

It says in chapter 22:30-31: “And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord God.”

While ‘Papist’ Peter Lynas, Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson, Rev David McClay and others claim to be praying for healing for our land, by their failure to stand in the gap they are endangering the land.

If there is not a general turning away from sin and rejection of ecumenical compromise, God has promised to pour out his wrath on the land.

Let our prayers be that God will be pleased to move in our land once more, that he will cause Romanism, ecumenism and apostasy to be overthrown, and that he will convince sinners of their need of a Saviour and send a mighty revival to our land, and that He would do it for His own name’s sake.
