ABBA ‘prayer dancing’ Pete Greig promoting Jesuits in ‘Lectio 365’ devotional

The Romanist practice of ‘Lectio Divina’ is one we have touched upon in the past, it having been promoted so readily and enthusiastically by one of the lead pastors of the dreadful charismatic Emmanuel Church in the Craigavon area.

Dave Wylie, one of the leading pastors, loudly espoused this unbiblical contemplative meditative way of reading the Bible, and is closely associated with the Benedictine order of Roman Catholic monks. It is essentially another form of mysticism.

What Lectio Divina teaches is of some new revelation from God to the reader, despite the fact we have a full revelation in the Bible, which God’s Word itself attests.

Revelation 22:18-19 says: “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”

We are not to add to or take from the Word of God, but this is what Lectio Divina does, often encouraging the reader to boil down the passage they are reading to one or two words or a single phrase, repeating it over and over to help enter a trance like state.

Last year, ABBA prayer dancing Pete Greig, the founder of 24-7 Prayer, which, incidentally, is headed up throughout Ireland by another lead pastor at Emmanuel Church, Jesuit glorifier Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson, launched a daily devotional called ‘Lectio 365’, making Romanism a daily part of thousands of people’s lives.

And just last month Pete Greig revealed on Twitter that the devotional he had personally put up on the app that day “might just be my favourite ever #Lectio365”.

What, or indeed who was the subject of Pete Greig’s “favourite ever” devotional? A Jesuit, of course.

A lay Jesuit (meaning he was not a formally trained priest) named Alphonsus Rodriguez was eulogised by Pete Greig.

Alphonsus Rodriguez is a ‘saint’ in the Roman Catholic Church, and the Jesuits are probably the most notorious of all the orders within that nefarious system.

The Jesuits led the Counter Reformation, a drive to bring people back into the fold of Rome after the glorious Protestant Reformation swept across Europe.

While people in their droves were being enlightened by the simple, glorious message of the gospel, Rome was busy trying to re-exert its power and the Jesuits were formed as a reaction to this.

Led by Ignatius of Loyola, a despicable character much beloved by Pete Greig’s pal Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson, the Jesuits were a bloodthirsty organisation, leading the centuries-long Inquisition, which saw countless Protestants, Jews and Muslims slaughtered simply for refusing to accept Rome as their authority.

Given the like of Pete Greig claim to be God honouring, it is very strange they should choose to exalt such a wicked order, isn’t it?

Yet, in the devotional, Pete Greig points out Alphonsus Rodriguez’s status as a Jesuit.

He says in the devotional: “… at the age of forty, he tried to join a Jesuit monastery but was considered too old and too uneducated to become a priest.

“Instead, Alphonsus was sent to a Jesuit College on the Spanish island of Majorca where he served as a porter and doorkeeper for the rest of his life.”

He continues: “Over the years countless brilliant young priests passed through that college.

“One of these young priests, a 25-year-old named Peter Claver, began meeting daily with Alphonsus who was by then seventy-two years old. Eventually the old man encouraged Peter to embark upon a great adventure to South America where he was to work tirelessly for the rest of his life, caring for slaves.

“Peter Claver was later recognised as a saint for his heroic efforts. And Alphonsus Rodríguez was also made a saint, canonized for his own brand of quiet heroism expressed in a life of humility, hospitality and friendship that changed the world.

“The great poet Gerard Manley Hopkins wrote a poem celebrating the humble service of his fellow Jesuit, Alphonsus Rodriguez”.

And so the devotional goes into the reciting of this poem by one gospel denier eulogising another gospel denier.

What is interesting is that there is no effort made whatsoever to disguise the fact Alphonsus Rodriguez was a Jesuit – is this because his followers are so inured to Pete Greig promoting Popery that he knows there will be no objections?

What is it that Pete Greig finds so alluring and attractive about Rome?

Is it the indulgences which promote the idea of earning your way to heaven, the things Martin Luther fought against 500 years ago, which Rome still teaches can be obtained today?

Is it the blasphemous praying for the dead, which Rome still teaches today ?

Indeed those two blasphemies were combined just last month, this is what Rome had to say about how salvation can be earned on the seemingly magical date of 1 November:

“From twelve o’clock noon on 1 November until midnight on 2 November, all who have confessed, received Holy Communion and prayed for the pope’s intentions (one Our Father and one Hail Mary, or any other prayers of one’s choice) can gain one plenary indulgence by visiting a church or oratory, and there reciting one Our Father and the Apostle’s Creed. This indulgence is applicable only to the souls of the departed.”

So by following a ludicrous set of rules in a specific time frame, one can earn an indulgence for someone who is already dead. How you specify the particular person you are doing this for isn’t clear.

Does Pete Greig find this alluring and attractive? Does he believe there is merit in this?

Does he find Rome’s utterly unbiblical worship of Mary alluring? Or how about Rome’s teaching that the pope is the infallible head of the church?

Pete Greig is more than welcome to contact us and let us know what it is he loves so much about the false gospel of Rome.

Make no mistake, dear reader, Pete Greig and his ilk are becoming ever bolder in their parading of their support for Rome and, for whatever reason, the evil Jesuit order in particular which led the repression of the gospel message.

Indeed in another devotional five days later on 7 November, he was extolling another Jesuit, Pedro Arrupe, who was in fact its leader during the 1960s.

And a devotional from 15 October by a Carla Harding, who is apparently leader of 24-7 Prayer GB, promotes another noted Romanist, Teresa of Avila, apparently a ‘saint’ who was a leading figure in the Counter Reformation and a noted mystic.

One suspects her mysticism, the practice of entering a trance like, ecstatic state and the notion of new revelation, is very attractive to the folk behind Lectio 365.

Regardless, the repeated demonstration of their unquestioning support of and devotion to architects of the Counter Reformation, proponents of the false gospel of salvation by works, shows very clearly that Pete Greig, his church Emmaus Road and 24-7 Prayer are all to be studiously avoided.

The gospel message which Rome denies is very simple.

Ephesians 2:8-9 articulates it for us: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

We are saved by grace through faith and cannot do anything to earn it for ourselves.

Rome teaches salvation can be earned by all sorts of things, including for others by visiting a grave on the magical date of 1 November.

Rome is the antithesis of the Bible and Pete Greig’s repeated support of Rome (see here for a further example) should cause any true believers grief of heart, firstly for him but also for all those who have fallen under his influence.

Romans 16:17-18: “Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.”

Those who do not like anyone speaking out for God’s truth and speaking against the so-called ministry of another like to accuse that individual or group as being “divisive”.

We can see clearly from the closing chapter of Romans that the truly divisive people, the true schismatics, are those who teach something other than the Bible says and this is what Pete Greig is doing.

He is teaching that people who hate the gospel, who are utterly contrary to the doctrine of the Bible, are to be admired and followed.

Pete Greig is dividing the church by promoting falsehoods and false teachers.

Follow God’s advice, spoken through Paul, to “mark them” and “avoid them”.

Dear reader, won’t you pray that God will awaken hearts to the false teachings being promoted in such a widespread and attractive to the worldly senses way in this evil day.

Let us never lose sight of the fact Rome never changes and let us never give ground to the false, hellish doctrines of Rome which so many who claim to be serving Christ are doing with dreadful enthusiasm.

2 Timothy 4:3-4: “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”

Pope exalted by Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson at 24-7 Prayer’s Belfast conference

It is no secret that pagan Romanism and the charismatic 24-7 Prayer movement go hand in hand, yet so many so-called Protestant Christians seem unable or unwilling to see these disgraceful links.

But they were proudly on show for all to see once again at the weekend just gone as the words of the Pope were plastered at the front of their worldwide conference, held in Belfast.

A somewhat sadly credulous attendee posted a message on his Twitter account expressing his tremendous delight at being at the conference.

To go along with his words, he posted a picture of none other than Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson (pictured, top), one of the lead pastors of the Rome embracing Emmanuel Church in the Craigavon area of County Armagh and leader of 24-7 Prayer in Ireland, up on the stage with a quote projected on to the screen behind him as he spoke.

That quote, of course, was from “that Antichrist, that man of sin, and son of perdition, that exalts himself, in the Church, against Christ and all that is called God”, the Pope.

Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson can be seen standing in front of that quote in the picture below.

Let us not forget the blasphemous titles the Pope takes upon himself, in which he blasphemes all three Persons of the Godhead.

Firstly, he calls himself the ‘Holy Father’, despite a clear Biblical prohibition, directly from Jesus, on sinful man taking such titles upon himself.

Matthew 23:9 says: “And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.”

This is a clear blasphemy against God the Father.

Secondly, he calls himself the ‘Pontiff’ or bridge between God and man. This is a position which belongs solely to Christ.

1 Timothy 2:5 says: “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus”.

This is a clear blasphemy against God the Son.

Thirdly, he calls himself the ‘Vicar of Christ on earth’. This is a position which belongs solely to the Holy Spirit.

John 14:16-18, 26 says: “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

This is a clear blasphemy against God the Holy Spirit.

The Pope is a rotten old blasphemer against almighty God, yet Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson is happy to promote this old deceiver to all and sundry.

Let us, too, never forget the blasphemous teachings of the Pope and the Roman Catholic Church which he heads up.

Rome teaches of a fictional holding cell between heaven and hell they call purgatory, a false notion with absolutely no Scriptural warrant. One need only read the story of the rich man and Lazarus in Luke 16 to see the immediacy of our souls going to heaven or hell when we die.

Rome teaches of prayer being offered up to Mary and to long dead so-called ‘saints’, despite there being not one incident in Scripture when legitimate prayers are offered to any but God.

Rome teaches the blasphemous Mass, in which they offer up Christ as a sacrifice repeatedly each and every day in Romanist chapels across the world, despite the Scriptures teaching that His sacrifice was once for all.

Hebrews 7:22, 24, 27: “By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament. But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.”

Worst of all, Rome pronounces its curse, or anathema, on any who believe the Biblical doctrine of salvation by faith alone in Christ alone.

It is so clearly taught in Scripture that salvation is of God, not of ourselves. With Rome, salvation is all doing; with Christ, salvation is all done.

Ephesians 2:8-9 says: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Titus 3:5-7 says: “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.”

These are simple Scriptural truths, yet Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson and everyone else associated with that 24-7 Prayer conference are riding roughshod over the gospel message in their pathetic Popish pandering.

Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson has considerable form when it comes to compromise with Rome.

Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson spoke in a Romanist chapel in Belfast in February last year as part of the ecumenical Four Corners festival. He is pictured below speaking in that hub of Romanist deceit.

Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson addressed a meeting of the ecumenical Ballymena Church Members Forum and endorsed the ecumenical charismaniac Healing the Land festival last year.

Most ignominiously of all, Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson glorified the evil founder of the sinister Romanist order of the Jesuits, Ignatius of Loyola at his Emmanuel Church in October last year.

He continues to promote Rome to any who are foolish and deluded enough to listen to him and what a fearful condemnation he is building up for himself in eternity.

Proverbs 29:1: “He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.”

On so many occasions the shameful compromise of Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson has been set before his face, but again and again he has hardened his neck.

Will Alain Emerson not repent of his dreadful compromise with Rome, leading the souls of so many astray?

He is, sadly, not on his lonesome in this regard of leading people astray under the pretence that he is a man sent by God.

ABBA prayer dance supporting Pete Greig (pictured, above), who is trying to boost the Roman Catholic Church in Austria and, until last weekend, the overall leader of 24-7 Prayer (replaced by another character all true Christians should be wary of, Mike Andrea), was also a speaker at that conference.

And where was the conference held? May Street Presbyterian Church in Belfast, now ran by Carnmoney Presbyterian Church offshoot Carnmoney Central.

It will come as no shock to any readers of ‘Protestant Revival’ that such a venue hosted such an event.

Carnmoney Presbyterian Church is ran by a minister who is openly opposed to the Bible’s view on sodomy, the crowd-surfer Rev John Dickinson, who endorsed the ‘Christian’ LGBT campaigner Vicky Beeching and openly condemned the Presbyterian Church’s soft efforts to tackle sodomy within the denomination at its General Assembly.

Rev John Dickinson’s son, David Dickinson (pictured, below), is at the helm of Carnmoney Central and was more than happy to fellowship with a Papist priest when his charismaniac collective took over May Street at the start of the year.

Furthermore, Carnmoney Central, or May Street Presbyterian Church, has also played host to the Pope blessed ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ prayer event in each of the past two years.

The home of the Presbyterian Church, Assembly Buildings, located just a matter of yards from May Street Presbyterian Church, also hosted some of the events of the four day conference.

Why does the Presbyterian Church allow this event to be held on its property? It truly is shameful that promotion of Popery is taking place in any of its buildings, but surely much more grievous for it to be done in their headquarters.

Ezekiel 5:11 warns of the dreadful judgment which comes from God when buildings which were at one time used to glorify God are changed into something that does the opposite.

It says: “Wherefore, as I live, saith the Lord God; Surely, because thou hast defiled my sanctuary with all thy detestable things, and with all thine abominations, therefore will I also diminish thee; neither shall mine eye spare, neither will I have any pity.”

These buildings are polluted with Popery and religious compromise.

Let any reading this have no part of it, have nothing to do with it, and better still, speak out against it and share this article widely so as many as possible can be warned.

We are called to speak out against error and undoubtedly 24-7 Prayer is replete with error.

And let us never be afraid to take a stand for Christ and speak out against that which claims to be of Him but is so clearly not.

Ephesians 5:11: “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”

Pete Greig and Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson’s 24-7 Prayer brings in Romanist Cardinal to Belfast Conference

Jeremiah 2:8: “The priests said not, Where is the Lord? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit.”

Within the pagan Roman Catholic system, there is a great emphasis placed on the hierarchy of its most senior priests.

With the Pope, who blasphemously claims to be the ‘Vicar of Christ on earth’, at the top of this structure, the next rank below this is that of Cardinal.

Reaching this position means an individual is firmly entrenched in that Romanist system and is considered one of the most senior and admirable proponents of the false doctrines of Rome.

A Cardinal, more so than almost all other Romanist priests, is responsible for the false gospel of salvation by works which is outrageously taught by agents of Rome.

One would have thought, given that being the case, you would want to steer clear of recommending such characters to others. Indeed, one would have thought you would have warned others to steer clear of such characters.

Not so, however, with 24-7 Prayer and its leader Pete Greig (pictured, top) as they proudly trumpet the fact that Cardinal Christoph Schonborn, the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Vienna will be the most important speaker at their upcoming global conference in Belfast, which takes place in October.

It is little surprise to see Pete Greig trumpeting and championing one of the most senior emissaries of Romanist deceit in the entire world.

After all, last autumn we at ‘Protestant Revival’ highlighted the shameful situation whereby Pete Greig was the guest speaker in the Romanist cathedral in Vienna, Austria’s capital, helping advise the Roman Catholic Church on how to lure more people into its grasp.

He is simply returning the favour as he brings the Romanist Archbishop of Vienna to Northern Ireland as the headline act at his conference.

In doing so, of course, he is striving to make the false doctrines of Romanism more acceptable and palatable to those who would be in attendance at this conference.

We will remind Pete Greig and all who read this what Cardinal Christoph Schonborn’s church teaches.

Cardinal Christoph Schonborn’s church teaches that there is a fictional (well, they claim it isn’t fictional) holding cell between heaven and hell called purgatory. This is despite there being absolutely NO Scriptural warrant for this whatsoever.

Cardinal Christoph Schonborn’s church teaches that we ought to offer prayers to Mary and various other long dead so-called ‘saints’. This is despite the Bible saying “there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 2:5).

Cardinal Christoph Schonborn’s church teaches the foul blasphemy of the Mass, where Christ is sacrificed again and again in every Romanist chapel every day throughout the world. This is despite the Bible saying that Jesus, “after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God” (Hebrews 10:12).

Cardinal Christoph Schonborn’s church teaches, worst of all, the hellish doctrine of salvation by works and sacramental merit. This is despite the Bible saying that “by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9).

This is not even the full extent of the blasphemies of the Roman Catholic Church, but one would have thought it would be sufficient to warn any professing Christian away from it, but here we have Pete Greig and his 24-7 Prayer group recommending taking spiritual guidance from one of its most senior figures on earth.

What a sad and, indeed, dangerous situation this is.

Also due to speak at this conference is another figure who regular readers of ‘Protestant Revival’ will be familiar with – Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson (pictured, below), one of the lead pastors at the Emmanuel Church based in the Craigavon area.

Alain Emerson is the leader of 24-7 Prayer in Ireland and will no doubt have very strong links to this event, in addition to his preaching at it.

This is an individual who has preached in Romanist chapels (you can see him doing so in the image below) and who has despicably glorified Ignatius of Loyola, the ungodly founder of the Romanist order of the Jesuits, formed specifically to oppose the Counter Reformation and reaffirm the supremacy of the Pope in Europe.

You can read his lengthy ecumenical rap sheet by clicking here.

Why does Pete Greig think it appropriate to promote exceedingly senior practitioners of Papal priestcraft to his followers?

Why does Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson think it appropriate to appear alongside exceedingly senior practitioners of Papal priestcraft, and in doing so recommend it to his followers?

We would encourage anyone reading this to ask these questions of these men by whatever means available to them, whether it be by phone, email, social media or in person and challenge them politely over their refusal to obey the Word of God’s command to separation from falsehood.

While much noise will be made by these men and others about how much they claim to feel God moving and how many lives they claim are being transformed, they are not laying a solid foundation for any who follow them to walk on.

Rather they are encouraging them to, as the foolish man, build their house upon the sand.

What a sad legacy is being left by easy-believists and shallow charismatic leaders.

Dear reader, please do not cover your ears to this warning and let not the condemnation of the children of Israel be yours as well.

Jeremiah 5:31: “The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?”

Do not “love to have it so” that false teachers are given the pre-eminence in our land, but rather make the break from shallow charismatism and follow wholly the Word of God.

John 6:37: “him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.”

Carnmoney Central hosting Pope endorsed ecumenical ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ event

Amos 3:3: “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?”

The charismatic, easy-believist Carnmoney Presbyterian Church’s offshoot, Central Belfast, will this weekend further strengthen its ecumenical links with Romanism as it hosts a prayer gathering with the emphatic seal of approval of “that Antichrist”, the Pope.

‘Thy Kingdom Come’ is described as an “ecumenical prayer movement” and was started a few years ago by the Arch-apostate of Canterbury Justin Welby.

It has quickly become a major fixture in the calendar of a great many God-defying churches, and last month received an enthusiastic thumbs up from the Pope himself.

Speaking in a video alongside the Arch-apostate of Canterbury, Pope Francis said: “To you my brothers and sisters, with my brother Justin Welby, we want to tell you that we walk alongside you in this prayer, ‘Thy Kingdom Come’.”

So anyone taking part in this event has the Pope walking alongside them.

As the verse at the top of this article asks, can two walk together except they be agreed?

It is a rhetorical question, the answer is clear.

And the Pope’s endorsement would surely be enough to set off alarm bells for anyone who professes the name of Christ.

Not so for the folk at Carnmoney Presbyterian Church or Central Belfast, who are enthusiastically hosting this exercise in ecumenical compromise.

The same goes for the 24-7 Prayer movement, which is organising the event in Central Belfast.

However, given the track record of the individuals involved in these groupings, it is, sadly, unsurprising.

Central Belfast is led by David Dickinson (pictured, top), who was present at a ‘passing of the baton’ service from the old, dead, ecumenical May Street Presbyterian Church to his ever so trendy new church plant, Central Belfast.

David Dickinson was totally unperturbed that a Papist priest was in attendance at the service, doing a reading. Indeed, he took to Twitter in a mock celebration of being featured on ‘Protestant Revival’, an “achievement” those who despise earnest contention for the faith boast of to use as a mask for their departure from the Word of God.

It is a very clear example of those “whose glory is in their shame” (Philippians 3:19).

David Dickinson is the son of the crowd-surfing, LGBT ‘Christian’ endorsing Rev John Dickinson (pictured, below) of Carnmoney Presbyterian Church.

Rev John Dickinson has, just in the past week, been retweeting comments by the Arch-apostate of Canterbury Justin Welby encouraging people to take part in this tainted event.

It is stated online that Rev John Dickinson was ordained to the Presbyterian ministry in 1980, several years before the Presbyterian Church removed from its now watered down version of the Westminster Confession of Faith the strongest censures against Romanism and the Pope.

That means, at his ordination, Rev John Dickinson stated he believed the Pope was “that Antichrist, that man of sin and son of perdition”.

By endorsing an event which has the backing of “that Antichrist”, Rev John Dickinson is making a mockery of that confession he signed up to in 1980.

What a sad situation that is.

The pitiful state of the professing church is one which ought to distress us greatly, even as it did Jeremiah in those days of apostasy.

Jeremiah 9:1 says: “Oh that my head were waters, and mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!”

Let us mourn and lament the apostasy of our generation but, like Jeremiah, be dedicated to speaking out against it out of a concern and love for the never-dying souls of those leading and being led astray.

Jeremiah 20:9 says: “But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay.”

While the church on May Street is hosting the event, it is being organised by 24-7 Prayer Ireland, a regional grouping of the 24-7 Prayer movement.

24-7 Prayer’s overall leader is none other than Pete Greig (pictured, below), the determined compromiser with Rome, who has been involved in advising the Roman Catholic church in Austria on how to lure more people in.

This is despite the fact Rome teaches a false gospel which will damn its devoted adherents to hell.

Rome rejects the precious doctrine of salvation by faith alone which is so clearly taught in the Bible.

Rome teaches salvation is works based, yet Ephesians 2:8-9 says: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

It is truly a mystery why a professing Christian should want to help such a God-defying system as that of Rome.

Further to that, Pete Greig also endorsed the ludicrous, blasphemous notion of engaging in ‘prayer dancing’ to the music of ABBA, indeed claiming God had told him He was “enjoying it”.

What a mockery!

The local leader of 24-7 Prayer in Ireland is another highly inappropriate spiritual guide, the Jesuit promoting Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson of Emmanuel Church in the Craigavon area.

Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson (pictured, above) really put the tin hat on his disgraceful Bible rejecting antics by recommending the spiritual practices of the truly evil founder of the notorious Romanist order of the Jesuits, Ignatius of Loyola.

Ignatius of Loyola led the Counter Reformation, a devil inspired fightback against the Reformation, when the glorious light of the gospel was so wonderfully unveiled by God through Martin Luther, John Knox, John Calvin and many others.

And Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson promoted following the man who fought against the vital Biblical truth of salvation by faith alone.

Titus 3:5-7 further demonstrates this. It says: “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.”

Despite this clearly being stated by God’s Word, Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson is lining himself up with Ignatius of Loyola.

What a despicable thing.

Dear reader, please do not tie yourself up in the unholiness that is this ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ event.

Do not fellowship with the “unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them” (Ephesians 5:11).

This event is outrageous to God in so many ways:

1. It has the avowed support of the leader of the anti-Christian Roman Catholic system, the Pope.

2 It has Romanist novenas accompanying it.

3. The event is the brainchild of the utterly disgraceful excuse for a spiritual leader that is the Arch-apostate of Canterbury, Justin Welby.

4. The umbrella organisation over this event in Belfast is headed up by Pete Greig, a man helping Rome lure more people in.

5. It is organised locally by Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson, a Jesuit promoter and rampant ecumenist.

6. It is being hosted at a church which is given over to ecumenism.

What a sorry event this truly is and we would implore anyone reading this to not only stay well clear of such an event, but also to warn others diligently of its dangers.

Let us be, as already referred to, grieved like Jeremiah over the plight of the state of religion in our land, but also to be unable to hold back from speaking out against it.

Even like Ezekiel, though he was at first angry at being told to speak out against the sin of his day, he could do nothing but follow God’s Word.

Ezekiel 3:14: “So the spirit lifted me up, and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of the Lord was strong upon me.”

May the hand of the Lord be strong upon each one of us who are vexed by the pollution of true Chrustianity in our land and may we each “earnestly contend for the faith”.

ABBA ‘prayer dancing’ Pete Greig and Rome loving Mike Pilavachi for Causeway Coast Vineyard conference

2 Timothy 4:2-4: “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”

Last week on ‘Protestant Revival’ we highlighted two of the inappropriate characters who will be “preaching” and leading “worship” at Causeway Coast Vineyard’s ‘Encounter More’ conference, which will run from Thursday, 23 to Saturday, 25 May.

They are Havilah Cunnington and Jeremy Riddle, representatives of that frankly frightening hotbed of charismatic deceit, Bethel Ministries, whose blasphemies you can get an idea of by clicking here.

We simply couldn’t go into enough detail in one post to outline all the heretical speakers who will be purporting to offer spiritual guidance to the poor attendees of Causeway Coast Vineyard, but we can reveal that more brazenly ecumenical and God-defying speakers and worship leaders will be held up and exalted by those in charge at Causeway Coast Vineyard Church.

They are Mike Pilavachi (pictured, top) and Beth and Andy Croft of Soul Survivor church and Pete Greig (pictured, below), who runs 24-7 Prayer.

Pete Greig, for any readers who aren’t aware, is an out and out compromiser with Rome and a leading figure in the ungodly charismatic excesses which, sadly, figure prominently in so much of professing Christendom.

Indeed, he is at the extreme end of this.

And that can be seen in the fact that he claims God told him that He, the Almighty God of heaven, the eternal, unchangeable God who cannot abide sin, was “quite enjoying” a group of young women dressed up for a night out on the town coming into a prayer room he was in charge of, turning the stereo up (why it was there in any event is a good question) and proceeding to prayer dance to a song by Swedish pop group ABBA.

They apparently put their own ‘religious’ words to one of ABBA’s seemingly well-known songs, Super Trouper.

This is a blasphemy, yet Pete Greig has the gall to claim, not only that it was an acceptable form of worship, but that it was given the seal of approval of God.

What an outrage!

Furthermore, Pete Greig has played an active role in helping the Roman Catholic Church lure more people in to its evil clutches.

Pete Greig addressed the diocesan assembly of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Vienna in St Stephen’s Roman Catholic Cathedral in the Austrian capital.

Tweeting afterwards, Pete Greig said: “Truly wonderful time in Vienna addressing 1,700 bishops, nuns, priests, laity from every church in the Archdiocese. Extraordinary signs of renewal – ‘unthinkable 9 years ago’ says the Cardinal.”

So Pete Greig was rejoicing in helping and seeing an increase in the number of people coming under the pagan influence of Rome.

Not only that, the 24-7 Prayer organisation which he heads up is an indisputably ecumenical organisation.

And its leader in Ireland is none other than Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson, lead pastor at the truly Christ-rejecting Emmanuel Church in the Craigavon area.

That, in itself, says it all.

The Jesuit promoter that is Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson leads 24-7 Prayer Ireland and indeed had Pete Greig as a celebrity guest at Emmanuel Church’s ‘Tobar’ conference last year, showing the strong links between the pair.

As for Mike Pilavachi and his Soul Survivor church, this man is another confirmed ecumenist.

His Soul Survivor church hosts summer camps each year and every year since at least 2016 these camps have offered the Roman Catholic Mass, a grievous blasphemy against God.

The Roman Catholic catechism says this of the Mass: “Because it is the memorial of Christ’s Passover, the Eucharist is also a sacrifice. In the Eucharist Christ gives us the very body which he gave up for us on the cross, the very blood which he “poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.””

Rome claims they are making a sacrifice of Christ in the Mass, yet the Bible says this in Hebrews 10:11-12: “And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God”.

Christ made “one sacrifice for sins for ever”, yet Rome repeatedly claims to be offering a sacrifice of Christ, thus serving to totally reject and blaspheme this most precious and crucial tenet of Scripture.

But Mike Pilavachi, whether he practices the Mass personally or not, serves to do the same by facilitating this blasphemous sacrifice.

But he will be offered an enthusiastic welcome to Causeway Coast Vineyard Church next week.

Mike Pilavachi has also demonstrated his enthusiasm for fellowshipping with heretics by being pictured alongside the Archbishop (read, Arch-apostate) of Canterbury, Justin Welby and Bishop Michael Curry, the sodomy-supporting American heretic who impressed the gullible and fellow-apostates at last year’s Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The trio are pictured together, below.

They were all at the main celebration of the utterly ecumenical ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ prayer initiative, founded by Arch-apostate of Canterbury Justin Welby and given the seal of approval of “that man of sin, and son of perdition”, the Pope,

‘Thy Kingdom Come’ has devotionals to Mary accompanying it and Mike Pilavachi was the main speaker at the event.

So the Pope and Causeway Coast Vineyard Church have something (plenty of things, most likely) in common – they both promote events headlined by Mike Pilavachi.

That is very instructive.

Having the approval of the Pope is certainly not something any of us should want.

John 15:18-19 says: “If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.”

The Pope is undoubtedly “of the world” and will “love his own”. That would include the likes of Mike Pilavachi.

So why would Causeway Coast Vineyard want such characters as Pete Greig and Mike Pilavachi at their conference?

Well, Causeway Coast Vineyard’s previous lead pastor, Alan Scott, infamously said he was “all in” with the Pope during a sermon at Causeway Coast Vineyard.

And one of its leading figures, Peter Lynas (pictured, below), who also heads up the allegedly Evangelical Alliance, has repeatedly aligned himself with ecumenists and Romanists.

While it is little surprise to see a supposedly God-exalting church promote and fellowship with those who bring dishonour to the cause of Christ, it is imperative those who are saved and endeavouring to follow Christ take a stand against such error and compromise.

Psalm 94:16: “Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?”

God is asking the question and continues to ask it today – who will stand up, who will rise up for Him against those who act contrarily to His will?

Will we speak out against such falsehoods and their propagators? Or will we hold our peace?

Let us be bold and sound the alarm in this evil day and generation and refuse to sit by idly as such blasphemies are being committed in the name of Christ.

Joel 2:1: “Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain”.

God enjoyed prayer dancing to ABBA music – Pete Greig of 24-7 Prayer

Psalm 89:7: “God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.”

Hebrews 12:28: “Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:”

The leader of the ecumenical 24-7 Prayer grouping, Pete Greig, who is helping the Roman Catholic Church try to bring in more people, has claimed that God told him He was “quite enjoying” a group of girls dancing round their handbags and praying to the music of Swedish pop group ABBA in a prayer room he was running.

Pete Greig has outrageously claimed that such polluted “worship” was approved of by God, even going so far as to claim God specifically told him that was the case.

The founder of the 24-7 prayer group says that God supported prayers being offered to Him to the tune of ‘Super Trouper’, which, according to Wikipedia, was a UK number one in 1980.

In an interview he has given to the ‘Premier Christianity’ website, Pete Greig recounts the story of a large group of girls coming into a prayer room he had set up.

He says: “Then a bunch of student girls, 30, came in to pray. They looked like they were dressed for a night on the town. I thought, ‘This is going to be interesting because they haven’t seen me.’ My secret fear is that no one’s actually praying in the prayer room, and they went to the stereo and confirmed my worst fears. They put on ABBA… ABBA! They started to dance around to Super Trouper. I was just about to bust them when to my shock and horror, they start praying! They’re going, ‘Jesus, we just thank you (Su-per, Trou-per)!’, and they’re dancing around their handbags.

“I sort of said to God, ‘Is this ok?’ And I think God said to me, ‘I’m quite enjoying it’. We need to pray the way God made us.”

It’s hard to believe someone who is supposed to be a serious religious leader could utter such nonsense, isn’t it?

What absolute blasphemous hogwash!

Dear reader, do not be deceived by this man.

How anyone can claim that worldly popular music can be used to glorify God is beyond comprehension.

When Jesus was teaching the disciples how to pray, he taught them not to do so in an attention-seeking way, but to do it discreetly.

Matthew 6:5-7 says: “And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.”

Dancing about like an eejit, to use an Ulsterism, is certainly not a humble or indeed respectful way to approach the God of heaven.

The way we approach God is of utmost importance, it ought to be a sober, humble, reverent approach.

Rather than jumping round the room, we should have, as much as is practically possible, our eyes closed and heads bowed as we approach His mercy seat.

The Bible is littered with examples of this.

The elders of the children of Israel did it, when they heard of God’s plan to deliver them from the Egyptians.

Exodus 4:31: “And the people believed: and when they heard that the Lord had visited the children of Israel, and that he had looked upon their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshipped.”

All the people did it when they saw the glory of the Lord had filled the temple in Jerusalem.

2 Chronicles 7:1-3 says: “Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled the house. And the priests could not enter into the house of the Lord, because the glory of the Lord had filled the Lord’s house. And when all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the Lord upon the house, they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground upon the pavement, and worshipped, and praised the Lord, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.”

There is coming a day when all shall bow before God.

Romans 14:11: “For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.”

If we have a proper appreciation of the power of God, of the might of God, then we will bow our heads when we speak to Him, not dance around like you’re in a nightclub to a song of the world.

We are reminded of the need to be separated from the world in James 4:4, which says: “Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.”

We need to remember the immense privilege we have to come before God ourselves with our prayers and petitions. The veil is rent and we have access to the holy of holies.

Hebrews 10:19-22: “Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; And having an high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.”

Ephesians 2:13-14,18: “But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.”

When we look at the sacrifice Christ made for us, when we look at the lost eternity in hell we can be saved from through His shed blood, when we look at the joys of heaven open to all who believe on Him, should we not approach Him with reverence and godly fear?

In the same interview, Pete Greig says in the prayer rooms he sets up there are a number of ways he says he has brought “innovation” in prayer.

This includes praying “with graffiti, with all types of music, with dance, with all sorts of innovation”, he says.

Only, of course, this isn’t how we are to pray, if we look at examples from the Bible. Prayer is about communicating with God and pouring our hearts out to Him, be it in praise, or in distress, or in thanksgiving, or in putting our requests to Him.

We can see the example of the Psalmist in Psalm 6:6-9: “I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears. Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies. Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the Lord hath heard the voice of my weeping. The Lord hath heard my supplication; the Lord will receive my prayer.”

David didn’t prance around his bedroom all night, dancing round a stereo and spraying graffiti on his wall, he spoke to His Saviour, or indeed described it as “groaning”, pouring out his heart to God when he was afflicted.

This is true prayer, and Pete Greig serves only to corrupt and pollute true worship, thus leading others down a path of blasphemous so-called worship and prayer to God.

2 Timothy 4:3-4: “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”

Don’t be turned unto the fables of the likes of Pete Greig, creating a new and unscriptural way to approach God, turning prayer into entertainment.

Let us all be ever mindful of the greatness of God and approach Him in a manner befitting the Creator of all things.

24-7 Prayer leader Pete Greig helping Roman Catholic Church lure more people in

Leading charismatic figure Pete Greig, a friend of ecumenical groups such as the Emmanuel Church in the Craigavon area and Causeway Coast Vineyard in Coleraine, has spoken in a Romanist chapel to help advise the Roman Catholic Church how to lure more people back into its clutches.

Pete Greig (pictured, top) is a leading figure in the organisation 24-7 Prayer, an ecumenical initiative openly and unashamedly promoting ecumenical compromise with Rome.

This is the same organisation which Emmanuel lead pastor Alain Emerson heads up in Ireland, something we previously focused on when highlighting Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson promoting the ecumenical ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ prayer initiative, which has the backing of the Pope, under the auspices of 24-7 Prayer Ireland.

Indeed, Pete Greig was one of the ‘celebrity’ speakers at Emmanuel Church’s recent ‘Tobar’ Conference.

And just a few weeks ago, Pete Greig was addressing the diocesan assembly of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Vienna held in St Stephen’s Roman Catholic Cathedral in the Austrian capital.

This was reported on the Roman Catholic news outlet, ‘The Tablet’.

He had been invited at the behest of the Roman Catholic cardinal, Christoph Schonborn, who told the same conference that ecumenical dialogue with churches like those represented by Pete Greig was “imperative”.

The day previously, Pete Greig had been the main speaker at the assembly.

Tweeting afterwards, he said: “Truly wonderful time in Vienna addressing 1,700 bishops, nuns, priests, laity from every church in the Archdiocese. Extraordinary signs of renewal – ‘unthinkable 9 years ago’ says the Cardinal. Not least letting a mug like me loose amongst them.”

Faux modesty aside, though of course many a truth is spoken in jest, Pete Greig has openly admitted to and indeed appears to be rejoicing in helping give the cause of Rome a boost in Austria – what a shameful situation.

The Roman Catholic Church is an anti-Christian organisation which denies the gospel message of salvation by faith alone. How anyone who claims to be a Christian should want to associate with and indeed encourage Rome is truly a mystery.

What is certain is that the Bible rejects such conduct.

2 John v 9-11 says: “Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.”

Pete Greig is making himself a partner of the evil deeds of Rome by acting in the way that he has.

The article from ‘The Tablet’ gives away why the Roman Catholic Church in Astria has enlisted the help of useful idiots like Pete Greig.

It states that, in 2011, Cardinal Schonborn had “invited Free Church (a name given to less traditional so-called Protestant churches) leaders to a meeting at Passau (a German town) as he wanted to know why the Free Churches were growing so fast. It was after that meeting seven years ago that the Cardinal had decided that the Free Churches should be regarded ‘as partners and not opponents’.”

Ecumenism, then, was identified as the route to a reinvigoration of the Roman Catholic Church in Austria.

This is backed up by a further quote in the article from Cardinal Schonborn.

He said: “Catholics and members of the Free Churches must learn from one another without losing their own identity.”

So the same man who describes ecumenism as “imperative” also wants to avoid the Roman Catholic Church losing its own identity.

This is indicative of the attitude of Rome in such matters – they may change their approach but they never change their nature. That is what Vatican II was about, the chief feature of which was a drive towards ecumenical unity.

Jeremiah 13:23 asks, and answers, the question: “Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.”

Rome is so ingrained in its sin that one could as easily change their skin colour as Rome could throw off its evil customs and doctrines.

A week after Pete Greig’s appearance in the home of the papacy in Vienna, the same venue played host to a prayer meeting jointly held by a group called the ‘Loretto Movement’ and what is described in the article as “the Free Church 24-7 Prayer Initiative”.

Pete Greig is called a ‘Team Leader’ in the 24-7 Prayer organisation and is seen as the founder of the organisation.

The Loretto Movement is a Roman Catholic youth organisation currently enjoying significant popularity in Austria and which is inextricably linked with 24-7 Prayer.

Here are a few excerpts from articles on the 24-7 Prayer website.

“A team from 24-7 Prayer and Alpha recently spent a remarkable weekend celebrating Pentecost with the Loretto movement in Austria. A few years ago the leaders read ‘Red Moon Rising’ (the handbook of 24-7 Prayer, written by, you guessed it, Pete Greig) and 24-7 Prayer Rooms are now at the heart of Loretto’s vision and growth.

“The Salzburg celebration is the big event of the Loretto calendar and is growing year by year. Over 5,000 young people crammed into Salzburg Cathedral. Pete Greig spoke on the Saturday morning on the importance of prayer and the local radio reported that it was the first time for many years that a non Catholic had spoken in the Cathedral” (article dated 29 May, 2013).

“Years ago, one of the leaders of Loretto was given a copy of Pete Greig’s book, Red Moon Rising. Since then, Loretto communities have added weeks of 24-7 Prayer to their rhythms.

“A fast friendship between Loretto Movement and 24-7 Prayer was born and over the last few years we have spent much time with each other, visiting each other’s communities and attending each other’s events.

“We’re so excited for the European Conference in Vienna this October in partnership with Loretto. Catholics and Protestants in the upper room of prayer, glorifying God and bringing forth His kingdom together” (article dated 11 September, 2018).

Roman Catholics and Protestants praying together – to whom are they praying? Rome teaches of intercession being made by Mary and various other saints, the Bible teaches, and true Protestants believe there is “one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 2:5).

This is a frightening situation, where a so-called Christian is glorying in aiding the cause of the Roman Catholic Church, which has damned untold millions to hell through its false gospel of works.

And the man behind all this, Pete Greig, is welcomed with open arms into many churches in our land who claim to be Christ exalting and his 24-7 Prayer initiative is followed by so many churches.

As we have stated already, this includes the Emmanuel Church in the Craigavon area, who had Pete Greig at their Tobar Conference, held in June.

This also includes the Causeway Coast Vineyard, the church whose former lead pastor, Alan Scott, (pictured, above) said during his tenure there that he was “all in” with the Pope. A key backer of that church is Evangelical Alliance leader Peter Lynas, a man who repeatedly engages in ecumenical activity with Rome.

Pete Greig also has spoken in Lisburn Cathedral (Church of Ireland), a church which every Easter takes part in an ecumenical walk of witness with, among others, the Roman Catholic Church in that city.

And it will come as no surprise to long time readers that it was Pete Greig who prompted the pathetic, irreverent, childish crowd-surfing act in Carnmoney Presbyterian Church, where Rev John Dickinson (pictured, below), the man who endorsed the lesbian ‘Christian’ LGBT campaigner Vicky Beeching, was carried out of the church by the poor dupes in the congregation. Pete Greig was the guest speaker on that infamous night.

We would implore all readers to share this article with anyone they know who may be caught up in any church which takes anything to do with the 24-7 Prayer Initiative and anyone they know who may be caught up with any of the churches mentioned above and to encourage themselves to separate from them.
