Romanists, sodomites and murderers: the friends of Presbyterian minister Rev David Latimer

2 Corinthians 11:13-15: “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”

There are some ministers who seem to be trying their very best to offend God as often as possible and in as many ways as possible, yet portray themselves to be his servant at the same time.

One such man is Rev David Latimer, minister of First Derry Presbyterian Church, who has still further deepened his apostasy by giving his blessing to the baptism of a child in the care of a homosexual couple in a Roman Catholic Church.

This is the man who cosied up with one of the most notorious unrepentant murderers in the history of Northern Ireland, the former IRA commander Martin McGuinness.

Such actions were lauded by the media, for whom the promotion of godliness and decency is often far from the top of their priority lists, but associating wilfully with unrepentant murderers is not pleasing to God.

The Sixth Commandment reminds us “Thou shalt not kill”, yet Martin McGuinness, whether he pulled the trigger or not, headed up a brutal gang of killers which took the lives of around 2,000 people over a 30 year period in Northern Ireland, with the victims being killed largely simply because they were Protestant.

Psalm 1:1 reminds us it is much more profitable to avoid keeping company with characters such as Martin McGuinness. It says: “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.”

At this point, we will move to address the inevitable chorus of the apostate, which squawks: “But Jesus dined with sinners”.

Yes he did, but did He stoop to their level? Did He walk in the counsel of the ungodly? Did he stand in the way of sinners, ie be in the places where sinners love to be? Of course not.

Jesus did not compromise Himself, nor could He abide sin, yet Rev David Latimer, by his own admission in a recent BBC article, sacrificed 50 members of his congregation in order to get in the limelight next to Martin McGuinness, a man who never, to his dying breath, expressed an ounce of remorse for the despicable atrocities he was responsible for.

Rev David Latimer loves the “praise of men more than the praise of God” (John 12:43).

His form well and truly established, Rev David Latimer has now revealed his latest public rejection of God’s Word.

We can only assume this revelation was made in the light of the Presbyterian Church voting against allowing homosexuals to become members.

We should be grateful of course this vote was lost and not “despise the day of small things” (Zechariah 4:10) but it is a damning indictment of how far the Presbyterian Church has fallen that this was even up for debate and there were those in favour of such a move. Furthermore, their general attitude to the attendance of homosexuals at the church is far from satisfactory as tolerance of such open sin in the pews, whether those in attendance are members or not, is not something which should be encouraged.

Speaking to the BBC, as he no doubt delighted to do, Rev David Latimer revealed he had connived with a Papist priest to purport to give God’s blessing to a child being raised by two homosexuals.

This is despite God ordaining in the Bible that the family unit was to consist of a father and a mother, not two of one or the other.

Genesis 2:24 says: “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.”

Ephesians 5:31: “For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.”

This is very clear, yet Rev David Latimer believes he knows better than God what God thinks is proper behaviour.

In the video on the BBC website, he said he had been approached by the mother of one of the women in this abominable relationship.

He continued: “I could have said ‘no, we’ll not, no, no way’. But the priest and I chatted and we had conversations with that couple and we agreed to baptise that little baby in a Catholic Church and I was there representing the Presbyterian family.”

Rev David Latimer notes he could have said no and thereby pleased God by refusing to endorse such a relationship. But he, of course, acted differently and instead of consulting God’s Word, he consulted a Roman Catholic priest.

Rev David Latimer then confirmed he had been part of the decision making process in choosing to have the child baptised in the Roman Catholic Church. Presumably this means Rev David Latimer believes the Roman Catholic Church is an appropriate place for anyone.

We will remind Rev David Latimer of what the Westminster Confession of Faith, which he signed at his ordination, says regarding the Pope.

Chapter 25, Paragraph 6 says: “There is no other head of the Church but the Lord Jesus Christ; nor can the Pope of Rome, in any sense, be head thereof; but is that Antichrist, that man of sin, and son of perdition, that exalts himself, in the Church, against Christ and all that is called God.”

Rev David Latimer clearly does not believe this and should not be permitted in the pulpit of any so-called Protestant church.

Rev David Latimer continued: “The church is about opening its doors for people, wherever they are coming from, whatever direction they’re approaching the door, I want that door to be open and I want everybody to appreciate that if God so loved the world and I don’t, then I can’t claim to be godly.”

His comments about the doors being open are a red herring. Anyone can come to a church, but that does not mean the church should endorse sin to make people feel better.

This is like the spirit of those false prophets in the days of Jeremiah.

It says in Jeremiah 5:31: “The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?”

And Rev David Latimer puts the tin hat on his diatribe of deceit by claiming it would be ungodly to oppose the lifestyle of the two women raising that wee boy.

How blasphemous!

To endorse the ungodly lifestyle of those two women by giving his blessing to the baptism of the child is the ungodly action, made even worse by rolling over to the pagan corruption of Christianity that is Rome by encouraging the child to be baptised into a system which knows only how to damn people to hell.

If you are in any way connected with this church or know someone who is, please share this with them to try to persuade them to abandon such a dreadful compromiser as Rev David Latimer.

And please pray that such apostates will be ejected from their pulpits and that the ministers in our land will be faithful to the gospel, for that will be a massive building block on the road to revival.

‘New Wine’, any wine will do – attendees at ‘Christian’ conference encouraged to have a booze up

Proverbs 23:29-35: “Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? who hath babbling? who hath wounds without cause? who hath redness of eyes? They that tarry long at the wine; they that go to seek mixed wine. Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright. At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder. Thine eyes shall behold strange women, and thine heart shall utter perverse things. Yea, thou shalt be as he that lieth down in the midst of the sea, or as he that lieth upon the top of a mast. They have stricken me, shalt thou say, and I was not sick; they have beaten me, and I felt it not: when shall I awake? I will seek it yet again.”

1 John 2:15-16: “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.”

Indulgence in alcohol is quite clearly a favoured pursuit of the world and a precursor to many of the vilest and most shameful sins committed by men, (and women!).

However, the ‘New Wine’ Conference, the ungodly ecumenical nature of which we began to expose last week, is actively encouraging those in attendance to go for a boozy lunch during the conference!

Indeed, on the New Wine Conference’s own website they have said a “typical day” at the conference includes a trip to the pub!

Under that heading of ‘A Typical Day’, on their website it reads: “With the two morning sessions over, you can pick up lunch in one of the cafes on site, or head into Sligo and try one of the many cafes, restaurants or pubs.”

What a dreadful witness for these so-called Christians to be giving to the world at large. Indeed, what a dreadful witness for the leaders of this conference, which include lead organiser Rev David McClay (pictured, below) to be encouraging their followers and supporters to engage in such activity.

As our first Bible passage shows, the consequences of such self-indulgence are grave – there is woe, sorrow, contentions, babbling, wounds without cause and redness of eyes.

Alcohol causes misery, folly, arguments and injury, leaving an individual insensitive to the world around them and lowering their inhibitions.

Yet the ‘New Wine’ Conference is encouraging attendees to make their way to the pub in the middle of the day at a conference where they are supposed to be exalting Christ.

Instead they are encouraging attendees to go into the world to fulfil the lust of the flesh and of the eyes, which is “not of the father, but of the world”.

This conduct is at complete variance with the orders laid down by God to “be not conformed to this world”, which loves and glamorises alcohol, an addictive drug. Instead, if we are Christians, we ought to be “transformed by the renewing of your mind” which comes from Christ.

Romans 12:1-3 says: “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.”

Note that our bodies are to be a living sacrifice, not tanked up with a poisonous drug which corrodes our organs, debauches our behaviour and, if you are a Christian, ultimately ruins our testimony.

Believers are also instructed “to think soberly”. How can we think soberly if we are not sober?

A great many evil things are recounted in the Bible by individuals who have allowed their blood to get up as a result of alcohol consumption.

King Ahasuerus allowed himself to be carried away with booze and tried to make a show of his beautiful wife, Vashti, in front of the many dignitaries present at his grand feast.

Esther 1:10-12 says: “On the seventh day, when the heart of the king was merry with wine, he commanded Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, and Abagtha, Zethar, and Carcas, the seven chamberlains that served in the presence of Ahasuerus the king, To bring Vashti the queen before the king with the crown royal, to shew the people and the princes her beauty: for she was fair to look on. But the queen Vashti refused to come at the king’s commandment by his chamberlains: therefore was the king very wroth, and his anger burned in him.”

The heart of the king was “merry with wine” and he wanted to make an exhibition of his wife. She refused, not impressed with the drunken exhibition her husband wanted to make of her which would have caused other men to lust after her. At this point, the man who was “merry with wine” suddenly changed his mood to anger, such is the inconstancy of the person filling themselves with alcohol.

The consumption of alcohol corrupts and, as we have said before, leaves people insensitive. Look at the vile behaviour of the two daughters of Lot, who plied their father with alcohol and then committed grave sin with him.

Genesis 19:31-38: “And the firstborn said unto the younger, Our father is old, and there is not a man in the earth to come in unto us after the manner of all the earth: Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father. And they made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose. And it came to pass on the morrow, that the firstborn said unto the younger, Behold, I lay yesternight with my father: let us make him drink wine this night also; and go thou in, and lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father. And they made their father drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose. Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father. And the firstborn bare a son, and called his name Moab: the same is the father of the Moabites unto this day. And the younger, she also bare a son, and called his name Ben-ammi: the same is the father of the children of Ammon unto this day.”

Not only was the corruption in the action itself bad enough, but this was compounded by such evil actions, made possible by alcohol, leading to the creation of two nations who would be at enmity with God’s people in the centuries to come.

The consequences of such drunken depravity lasted so much longer than one night, or two nights, in this instance, God’s people were suffering as a result for centuries afterwards.

However, such warnings from Scripture appear to matter little to the organisers of this New Wine Conference as they encourage their followers to be part of the world.

Hosea 4:11: “Whoredom and wine and new wine take away the heart.”

Proverbs 21:17: “He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich.”

Jude 1:23: “…hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.”

The blasphemy of female ministers such as ‘Rev’ Sarah Mullally

1 Timothy 2:9-12: “In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.”

It is quite clear that the Bible prohibits the elevation of women into the role of pastors, teachers or other positions of authority in the church.

While this does not preclude women from fulfilling certain roles within the church, such as children’s work, it does mean women ought not to hold office in the church as they are in a position of authority over male adult members of the church.

One must only look at the appointment of the deacons in the Apostolic Church, as detailed in Acts 6:1-5: “And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration. Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables. Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business. But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word. And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch”.

Note that, not only were seven men chosen, it was strictly stated in advance that only men were to be considered – “look ye out among you seven men of honest report”.

This is quite clearly a God ordained precept and one which ought to be adhered to.

However, over the past number of decades, so-called Protestant churches have opted to ignore the various sections of Scripture pertaining to the role of the woman in the supposed interests of modernity and inclusivity, two dogmas pursued today, even by professing Christians, with far greater zeal than the precepts taught within the Bible.

In fact, so far down the road has this gone, that last year it was reported that more women than men had applied for the ministry in the Church of England.

And it is in that shameful context that we recently saw the appointment of the first ever female Bishop of London, a ‘Rev’ Sarah Mullally (pictured, top).

She is not the first female bishop appointed by the Church of England, indeed this is her second bishopric, but she is by far the most senior woman in the church, and is currently the third most senior figure in the Church of England, behind only the Arch-apostate of Canterbury, Justin Welby, and the Archbishop of York, John Sentamu.

It has been a heady rise for ‘Rev’ Sarah Mullally, she having only quit secular employment in 2004, and it is an indication of the pace with which the apostate Church of England is descending to the gutter that within four and a half years of permitting female bishops, they have one sitting as third in command in the entire church.

In Proverbs 6 we are told of a number of things which the Lord hates and considers an abomination. Verse 18 gives us two of them. They are: “An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief”.

The overthrowing of God’s ordained order is undoubtedly a “wicked imagination” and the Church of England has certainly been “swift in running to mischief” by appointing so many female bishops in such a short space of time.

Women who hold ministerial positions are flagrantly disregarding God’s Word, and it is telling that often they are among the most notorious ecumenists and compromisers in the ordained ministry.

We need only look at the truly disgraceful situation whereby ‘Rev’ Lesley Carroll, an ordained Presbyterian ‘minister’, holds the position of Deputy Chief Commissioner of the Equality Commission in Northern Ireland.

This is the organisation which has brought its repressive, anti-Christian legal action against Asher’s Bakery, simply because the bakery’s Christian owners refused to compromise their own beliefs by icing a cake with a message in support of gay marriage, a practice repugnant to the Word of God and illegal in Northern Ireland.

She has remained silent on the matter throughout the three years or since that matter first came to public attention.

‘Rev’ Lesley Carroll has, however, not remained silent in her ecumenical fervour, it is only when good is being attacked that she holds her tongue.

Another example is ‘Rev’ Christine Bradley, the ‘minister’ of Armagh Road Presbyterian Church in Portadown. She stressed her support in 2015 for gay marriage in the light of the referendum in the Republic of Ireland which favoured legalising that most anti-Christian of acts.

There are many more besides who are to the forefront of ecumenical compromise.

In fact, while researching a couple of months ago an article on the various ecumenical Good Friday walks of witness being held up and down the country, we were struck by the sheer number of women engaging enthusiastically in the apostasy and thus leading their congregations down the same broad road to destruction.

They included ‘Rev’ Anne Tolland of Newtownbreda Presbyterian Church, ‘Rev’ Maureen Hassard of Ballynafeigh Methodist Church, ‘Rev’ Elaine O’Brien of St John’s and St Ninian’s Church of Ireland, Whitehouse, Belfast, ‘Rev’ Liz Hughes of Whitehouse Presbyterian Church, ‘Rev’ Pauline Whan of Greencastle Methodist Church, ‘Rev’ Louise Monroe of Downpatrick Methodist Church and a ‘Sister’ Myrtle Morrison of St Saviour’s Church of Ireland, Craigavon.

Given that men do still significantly outnumber women in the ministry in Northern Ireland, this was a most noteworthy fact.

Also, when you see female ministers, you always notice they have their heads uncovered, unless, of course, they, like ‘Rev’ Sarah Mullally, are bedecked in their elaborate ceremonial garb.

This is despite this once again being part of God’s inspired and inerrant Word.

1 Corinthians 11:3-9: “But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head. But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven. For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered. For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man. Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.”

That is pretty clear, isn’t it?

Every woman who attends church without her head suitably covered is acting in open and determined defiance of God and are dishonouring their husband, if they have one, and, most importantly, God, whom they are supposed to be there to worship.

Characters like ‘Rev’ Sarah Mullally are counted among the false prophets warned of in God’s Word. They are those who are described in 2 Timothy 3:5 as “having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away”.

And dear reader, if you are in a church which tolerates the presence of women in the pulpit or in positions of authority, we hope and pray that you will “turn away” from such and separate yourselves unto God.

And if there happens to be any women reading this who hold positions of authority or indeed act in a ministerial capacity, we would implore you to consider your ways and examine the Word of God.

While this closing verse may use the male pronoun, it is equally applicable to women.

James 4:17: “Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.”

Philip Emerson and Dave Wylie: More Emmanuel leaders cosy up with Rome

At ‘Protestant Revival’, we have on several occasions written about the ecumenical conduct of one of the leaders of the Emmanuel Church, based in the Craigavon area.

So frequent are his demonstrations of ecumenical compromise we have given him the name Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson.

From speaking in St Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church in Belfast to endorsing the ritualistic, anti-Christian, ecumenical worship style of TaizĂ© to organising a prayer event with Rome’s blessing at which at least one Jesuit priest was present (readers can check back through the Twitter page of ‘Father’ Martin Magill), Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson has most emphatically earned his ignoble title.

However, we have made a most distressing discovery in the past few days that more of the senior leadership of that supposedly God-exalting church are to be among the speakers at an ecumenical conference in the Republic of Ireland over the summer.

The ‘New Wine’ Conference will be held in Sligo, in the west of the country, and features a veritable who’s who of ecumenists and apostates, particularly in the charismatic, easy-believism movement in Ireland, north and south.

It will also, shamefully, include a Roman Catholic bishop, a representative from Clonard Monastery in the Irish republican Falls Road in west Belfast and a leading figure in what is called the ‘Evangelical Catholic Initiative’.

And in the midst of all this are two more of the main leaders in Emmanuel Church – Philip Emerson, (pictured, top), whom we assume is a relative of Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson, and Dave Wylie (pictured, below).

They both feature on the ‘New Wine’ Conference’s website’s list of speakers for the week long conference, which runs from 8-13 July. You can see the list by clicking here.

According to the Emmanuel Church’s own website, these two individuals, Philip Emerson and Dave Wylie, are two of the three lead pastors in the church. The third, of course, is Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson.

Of course, when Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson is so entrenched in ecumenical activity and therefore in the betrayal of the gospel of Christ, then it should not really be a big surprise when his fellow head honchos in this licentious organisation are also indulging in such ecumenical departure.

We will remind Philip Emerson and Dave Wylie that they are directly contradicting the Word of God.

2 Corinthians 6:17: “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing”.

This verse talks about religious fellowship with those who are not saved and who are, as such, enemies of Christ.

Rome by its very foundations, is at enmity with God.

Its leader, the Pope, tries to blasphemously assume the role of God on earth and Rome teaches the Pope is infallible and can do no wrong.

Its central act of worship, the Mass, is a blasphemy as it teaches that Christ is being sacrificed again and again and again each time the Mass is ‘celebrated’ in every chapel throughout the world. This is despite the Word of God clearly stating that Christ’s sacrifice on the cross was once for all and is entirely sufficient to atone for all sins of those who truly seek forgiveness.

Hebrews 7:25-27: “Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.”

Rome teaches of prayer to Mary and to saints, yet the Bible is clear that we pray to God and Him alone.

1 Timothy 2:5 says: “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus”.

This is but scratching the surface of the blasphemies of Rome, yet Emmanuel leaders Philip Emerson and Dave Wylie are choosing to fellowship with such characters, and, by taking part, are endorsing the presence of emissaries of Papal deceit.

The Romanists to which we refer are Roman Catholic Bishop of the Elphin Diocese, Kevin Doran, Fodhla McGrane (a woman, in case the name is an unfamiliar one) of Clonard Monastery and Paddy Monaghan of the Evangelical Catholic Initiative (ECI).

If, like us, you were unaware of the ECI, its website helpfully explains its purpose.

It says: “ECI is focused on the priority of evangelism in the Roman Catholic Church and on joining with Christians in other denominations to fulfil the Great Commission.”

So it is an overtly ecumenical organisation and it is also blasphemously claiming that ecumenism is a means towards fulfilling the Great Commission of Christ to “go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel” (Mark 16:15).

However, these are the characters which Philip Emerson and Dave Wylie see fit to associate with spiritually, thus leading their followers in the Emmanuel Church into the same condemnation of God.

Matthew 15:14 sums up this sad situation. It says: “…they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.”

This dismal duo are far from the only betrayers of Christ on the list for the conference, and we plan, in the will of God, to feature more of the characters involved in this apostasy in the coming weeks.

Indeed, it is a blessing to Philip Emerson and Dave Wylie that we have featured them first on the list of ecumenical speakers at this conference as it gives them the most time to reconsider their decision to speak at this disgraceful event.

In April, we gave Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson eight days to cancel an ecumenical meeting at which he was speaking in Ballymena, we are giving Philip Emerson and Dave Wylie 36 days to pull out of this conference.

That is more than five full weeks’ notice and is surely more than enough time for them to have a read of the Bible and see if God would have them to endorse the teachings of Rome by speaking at the same event as high ranking Papists.

As we said before in relation to Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson, if these men pull out of this event as they have realised it is damaging to the gospel, rather than because it is damaging to themselves or the Emmanuel Church, we will be happy to write an article in praise of them for revising their position. They are encouraged to contact us privately if they so wish to confirm they have withdrawn from the meeting.

We would also encourage readers to share this article with them, be it by word of mouth or through sharing this on facebook or sending them a link to the article, to ensure they are aware of it. We anticipate this will come to their attention as we are aware they are monitoring this page, through the various comments we have received from its supporters, many of them too unpleasant to allow to be reproduced on our page.

As God said to the children of Israel after they had returned from the captivity in Babylon and had left off from the work of building the temple, we are advising them to “consider your ways” (Haggai 1:5).

Or as Paul put it, writing under the inspiration of God, in 2 Corinthians 13:5: “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith…”

We would advise everyone reading this, and we are also speaking to ourselves, to continually be examining yourself and considering your ways.

If we are saved, we need to ensure we don’t allow ourselves to drift and we ought to ask God to protect us from backsliding.

If we are as yet unsaved and bound for a lost sinner’s hell, then we must turn from our sin and our rejection of God and His Word, we must confess our sins, and humbly, penitently, ask the Lord Jesus Christ into our hearts and to save us from our sins.

It is our prayer that anyone who is caught up in the apostasy in this land will “come out from among them” and separate themselves unto Christ.

Please bear in mind that fearful statement of God in Genesis 6:3: “My spirit shall not always strive with man.”

Silent Pope abandons unborn to their death as Roman Catholic Ireland legalises baby murder

Shamefully, the people of supposedly Roman Catholic Ireland have voted to allow the murder of unborn children.

And, even more shamefully, the leader of the Roman Catholic system, Pope Francis (pictured, below), has kept out of the debate and failed to issue advice to Roman Catholics as to how they should vote.

Indeed, there hasn’t been a firm line taken or direct guidance issued by the Roman Catholic Church advising the people to vote against a decision to repeal the eighth amendment of the Republic of Ireland’s constitution, which kept strict controls on abortion.

The resounding majority of voters (about two thirds) chose to facilitate the murder of unborn children and it is anticipated the Irish government will choose to implement a policy whereby any child can be murdered, though they prefer the softer terms ‘abortion’ or ‘termination’, in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy.

While Pope Francis plans to visit Ireland this August, he didn’t see fit to visit in the run-up to the abortion referendum in an effort to protect the sanctity of life in what was once a stronghold of Roman Catholic dogma.

For a man keen to hear the sound of his own voice, Pope Francis was notably quiet in the aftermath of the distressing and disgraceful result, as the left wing British newspaper, ‘The Guardian’, pointed out.

It said: “Pope Francis remained silent on the referendum in his Sunday morning address in St Peter’s Square in Rome. The Papal Twitter feed also failed to publish any reaction to the result, and his spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment from the Guardian.”

Not only did the Pope fail to volunteer his opinion, he refused to give it when asked. That’s some supposed spiritual leader!

Rome’s position has been seriously weakened over the past two decades as the sickening stories emerged of clerical abuse so widespread it couldn’t be covered up any longer.

And that was noted as a contributing factor to the Roman Catholic Church playing a low key role throughout the campaign in an article published by ‘The Spectator’.

It said: “What’s notable about the campaign is it’s an almost entirely secular debate. The Catholic Church is absent from the fight to an extent that would have been hard to imagine in 1983, though it has made clear its support for keeping the amendment.

“And that’s reflective of the condition of the church in the wake of successive abuse scandals. ‘The Church has a chastened position in Irish society’, says ‘Father’ Patrick Claffey, who has a central Dublin parish.”

We note, as did that article we have just quoted, that the Roman Catholic Church in Ireland, to a significant extent, backed the retention of the eighth amendment, but there were few public pronouncements and the total silence of the leader of their church, the Pope.

Now of course we, as Protestants, reject the Pope utterly for his manifold blasphemies and are not saddened to see the vice-like grip of the Roman Catholic Church loosened in the Republic of Ireland, but we are saddened to see Roman Catholics in that country heading off in another wrong direction, and that is secularism.

This is truly a day, like in Judges 17:6 where “every man did that which was right in his own eyes”.

And this is that same spirit of rebellion against the restraints God puts in place for our own good that we can see in the ‘our bodies, our choice’ mantra being screamed by the proponents of convenient baby disposal, or the disposal of inconvenient babies.

We will remind readers of what the Bible has to say about the unborn baby.

Psalm 139:13-16: “For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.”

We are “fearfully and wonderfully made”, part of God’s creation, and it is not our right to decide which child should live and which should die. And while we were yet “unperfect”, or not fully developed in the womb, God already knew everything about us and placed such value on us that He recorded all our members in His book.

Children are a gift from God. Psalm 127:3 tells us: “Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.”

However, women are celebrating in the streets of Ireland being able to rip out “the fruit of the womb”.

It is horrendous that people were jumping up and down with glee when the result was announced – it was adding insult to injury to act in such a despicable, brazen manner.

Those cheerleaders of the slaughter of the unborn are like the children of Israel upon whom God pronounced His judgment in Jeremiah 2:34: “Also in thy skirts is found the blood of the souls of the poor innocents: I have not found it by secret search, but upon all these.”

God didn’t have to look behind closed doors to see the innocent blood dripping from the children of Israel, and it is the same today as the most vile of acts, directly contradicting the sixth commandment – “Thou shalt not kill”, is openly lauded and supported.

The march of sin never seeks to let up or take a break, it is in a mode of constant attack.

This following verse is referring to the Babylonian king, Nebuchadnezzar, but it can be applied to those who would seek to spread further the massacre of unborn babies and, within minutes of the result being announced last Saturday evening, they had already turned their attentions to Northern Ireland.

Habakkuk 2:5 says: “Yea also, because he transgresseth by wine, he is a proud man, neither keepeth at home, who enlargeth his desire as hell, and is as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all people”.

These are proud people, neither do they keep at home, but seek to disseminate their murderous message further and they “enlarge their desire as hell, and cannot be satisfied”. Babies are to be murdered on demand on roughly three quarters of the island of Ireland, but that is not enough.

Please pray, dear reader, that it will remain the situation that in Northern Ireland abortion is not freely accessible and please pray that God will turn in the hearts of our political leaders in Westminster and that He might even do likewise with the would-be authorisers of murder in Dublin.

Job 33:4: “The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.”

Revealed: Paganism and Popery – the shocking reality in Armagh Church of Ireland

Over the past number of months as we have sought, under God, to highlight the workers of iniquity, apostasy and ecumenism in our land, we have uncovered some dreadful actions.

However, we were informed a few days ago of a concerning state of affairs with the ‘minister’ of Kildarton and Lisnadill Parish Churches, just a few miles outside the city of Armagh, and we are saddened to say we have never encountered such dreadful departure from the Word of God by someone holding episcopal office.

She is the ‘Rev’ Grace Clunie (pictured, top) and, while she ought not to hold her position simply because of her gender (1 Timothy 2:12), there is an even greater concern over her suitability as any type of church leader.

This is because she is an active practitioner of pagan rituals and runs her own website promoting such shocking rejection of God’s Word.

Called Celtic Spirituality, this practice is entirely pagan in its nature and indeed it is its obsession with nature and the world around us which is its defining characteristic.

On ‘Rev’ Grace Clunie’s website, it speaks of a ‘love of the natural world’ and promotes events being run by the Centre for Celtic Spirituality in Armagh, which she runs, including ‘earthwalks’ which, according to the website, “enable us to enter into the experience of the natural world and all its beauty in a deeper way”.

There is no mention of a connection with God, it is about connecting with a tree, a rose bush, a stream or a hill. We are reminded of the words of Romans 1:25 concerning those who had perverted pure religion. It says: “Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator…”

The BBC, on its website, defines paganism as “a group of religions and spiritual traditions based on a reverence for nature”.

Indeed, the most recent of ‘Rev’ Grace Clunie’s woodland wanderings, or earthwalks, took place on 19th May to celebrate the pagan festival of Beltane (or Bealtaine).

It is one of the four main festivals in the pagan calendar and symbolises a time of year of virility, lustfulness, growth, fertility and reproduction.

We’ll refer you back to ‘Rev’ Grace Clunie’s website, which says: “In the human growth cycle, Bealtaine corresponds to the period of young adulthood when the blood is hot, when ideas are sometimes impetuous and ambitions pursued with vigour and ardour”.

Regarding this pagan festival, Wikipedia says the following: “Rituals were performed to protect the cattle, crops and people, and to encourage growth.

“Special bonfires were kindled and their flames, smoke and ashes were deemed to have protective powers.

“Sometimes the cattle would be driven around a bonfire or be made to leap over flames or embers. The people themselves would do likewise.”

This bears a striking similarity to the occult practices of the heathen in the lands round about the children of Israel, whom they blasphemously decided to worship with when they abandoned God.

We read on many occasions in the Old Testament of how they made their children pass through the fire, though the practices in the Bible often included a human sacrifice.

This is the Holy Spirit’s condemnation of evil king Ahaz, as we are told in 2 Kings 16:3: “But he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, yea, and made his son to pass through the fire, according to the abominations of the heathen, whom the Lord cast out from before the children of Israel.”

Manasseh, who was a notably evil king until God dealt with him and wonderfully saved him, was guilty of the same evil in his earlier period on the throne. 2 Kings 21:6 says: “And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him to anger.”

The children of Israel, too, as a body of people, were guilty of this most abominable of sins, as we are told in 2 Kings 17:17: “And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him to anger.”

This was something God had expressly warned against prior to bringing his people into the promised land.

Deuteronomy 18:9-12 says: “When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee.”

This is the nature of Beltane, and it is a festival no Christian should even countenance having the slightest thing to do with, yet here we have a Church of Ireland ‘minister’ organising celebrations of it.

Wikipedia also informs us that Beltane gatherings “would be accompanied by a feast, and some of the food and drink would be offered to the aos si.”

What on earth are the aos si, you are most likely asking.

Well, they are the Irish term for “a supernatural race in Irish mythology, comparable to the fairies or elves.

“They are said to live underground in fairy mounds, across the western sea, or in an invisible world that coexists with the world of humans.

“Most scholars see the aos si as remnants of the pagan gods and nature spirits.”

So a Church of Ireland ‘minister’ is leading a celebration and actively promoting a religion which includes fairies and elves, who live underground or in a parallel universe and must be appeased by sacrifice.

Perhaps most damning of all is this piece of information, also from Wikipedia: “Since the late 20th century, Celtic neopagans and Wiccans (or witches) have observed Beltane, or something based on it, as a religious holiday.”

So witchcraft is added into the mix here – what a truly terrible potion of apostasy, paganism and heathenism is being concocted here!

Popery can also be added into this horrendous cocktail as her page is littered with quotes from propagators of the Papacy, including a Jesuit priest and an Irish priest who has written extensively on the subject of Celtic spirituality.

Not only that, ‘Rev’ Grace Clunie promotes on her website meditation classes being run by a Benedictine monk, a couple of which have yet to be held, not that we’re encouraging attendance, merely highlighting the continuing nature of this apostasy.

Indeed, the Centre for Celtic Spirituality, which ‘Rev’ Grace Clunie runs, was set up as an ecumenical venture, with involvement from Anglicans, Methodists, Quakers, Presbyterians and Roman Catholics.

And what of the Church of Ireland, which helps fund this pagan facility?

They are every bit as guilty as ‘Rev’ Grace Clunie herself, indeed they promote her website on their own page in the directory of its churches.

The Archbishop of Armagh, with whom ‘Rev’ Grace Clunie will inevitably be very familiar, is the Most Ecumenical Richard Clarke, a man who brings shame and disgrace to the name of Christ every time he does his grand garments and spews out his deceitful messages of mean compromise.

However, his toleration of such vileness is a new low, even for a man whose clerical standards are as low as a snake’s belly.

See this article and this previous item to get a flavour of his outrageous apostasy.

How can such a character as one who celebrates the Pagan festival of Beltane be tolerated in the church?

How can such a character as one who, on her website, encourages people, as part of Beltane, to “create an outdoor prayer shrine or befriend a tree to pray/meditate outdoors”, be tolerated in the church?

How can such a character as one who opens the door to the world of fairies, elves and witches be tolerated in the church?

Reader, don’t be taken in by anything calling itself Celtic Spirituality or Celtic Christianity, it is a deceit and a pagan corruption.

1 Corinthians 10:20-21: “But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils.”

If you are involved with the Church of Ireland and do not consider this to be a separation matter, then we fear for you.

Please heed the crystal clear call of Paul, writing under the inspiration of God, when he said 2 Corinthians 6:17: “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing”.

If you are as yet unsaved, then please come to Christ, confess your sins and call on him to forgive you.

Acts 16:31: “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved”.

Church of Ireland clerics help lead prayers to Mary to celebrate Pentecost

The jolly ecumenical relations in County Fermanagh were further developed last weekend at an ecumenical prayer service on the shores of Lower Lough Erne.

It was held at Carnagh Bay to celebrate Pentecost Sunday and was led by two ecumenical chums, the Church of Ireland Bishop of Clogher, the Right Eejit (though his official title is Right Reverend) John McDowell (pictured, far left of our photograph) and Roman Catholic Diocesan Administrator of Clogher, ‘Monsignor’ Joseph McGuinness (pictured, far right of our photograph).

Lest anyone forget, ‘Monsignor’ Joseph McGuinness was the Papist mouthpiece for the Roman Catholic Church disgracefully refusing victims of an IRA bomb planted on Papal property permission to place a memorial on the site of the blast which took the lives of 12 Protestants.

So of course it makes perfect sense for a so-called Protestant like the traitorous Right Eejit John McDowell to continue to cosy up with him.

There were other Protestant Lundys there as well, which should surprise nobody.

There would be no ecumenical show without the apostate Punch of Chancellor (Chancer!) Canon David Skuce, rector (or wrecker, perhaps) of Inishmacsaint Parish Church, which takes its name after the island this ecumenical prayer service was overlooking from the shores of the lough. He is pictured third from the right of our photograph at the top of this article.

Another clerical sell-out in attendance, and again another character whose disgraceful ecumenical conduct we have previously highlighted, was Rev Sampson Ajuka, rector of Boho and Devenish Parish Churches. Rev Sampson Ajuka is pictured third left in the photograph with this article.

There remains a key question, and one which we have put forward on numerous occasions at ‘Protestant Revival’, and that is – to whom were the prayers uttered at this service offered up to?

Rome blasphemously teaches of prayer to saints and to Mary, however, the Bible teaches of prayer to God alone, through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Timothy 2:5: “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus”.

Intercession is made on our behalf by Jesus, not by Mary or any other of the copious saints Rome falsely proclaims to have power to intercede on our behalf.

Hebrews 7:25: “Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.”

Indeed, a report of the event states that the ‘prayers of intercession’ were led by ‘Father’ Jimmy McPhillips, Parish Priest for that area. He is pictured second left in the photograph with this article. His parish includes the Church of the Immaculate Conception in the village of Monea and Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in the village of Boho, both close to where this service took place.

The Church of the Immaculate Conception was the site for a God-defying service marking the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity in January, at which Chancer Canon David Skuce and Rev Sampson Ajuja took part, while the same pair were up to their necks in an ecumenical Easter service which took place in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Boho.

To whom was ‘Father’ Jimmy McPhillips offering up his prayers of intercession? Not that God would have regarded them anyway had they been offered to Him as the prayers of ‘Father’ Jimmy McPhillips and his ilk are a blasphemy.

Right Eejit John McDowell, Chancer Canon David Skuce and Rev Sampson Ajuka are together guilty of forming what Matthew Henry called a “mongrel religion”, and that is articulated for us excellently in 2 Kings 17.

It says in verses 32-34 and verse 41: “So they feared the Lord, and made unto themselves of the lowest of them priests of the high places, which sacrificed for them in the houses of the high places. They feared the Lord, and served their own gods, after the manner of the nations whom they carried away from thence. Unto this day they do after the former manners: they fear not the Lord, neither do they after their statutes, or after their ordinances, or after the law and commandment which the Lord commanded the children of Jacob, whom he named Israel; So these nations feared the Lord, and served their graven images, both their children, and their children’s children: as did their fathers, so do they unto this day.”

This is what such apostate characters are doing right unto this day.

They claim to be serving God but in truth they are serving man-made idols and man-ordained dogmas and precepts.

When talking about Pentecost in his message of ecumenical compromise, Right Eejit John McDowell said that God “gave us gifts and one of our vocations is to be peacemakers”.

Not one mention of 3,000 souls being wonderfully and gloriously saved in a single day and the wonderful knock-on effect that had of those new converts, ablaze for Christ, spreading the gospel abroad and many more being added to the Church of Christ.

No, instead Right Eejit John McDowell somehow, blasphemously, turns one of the greatest days in human history into a pretext for ecumenical compromise.

How shameful!

We at ‘Protestant Revival’ have faithfully sought to highlight the ecumenical compromise practiced by Chancer Canon David Skuce, Right Eejit John McDowell and Rev Sampson Ajuka and have sought to faithfully set out what God has said in His Word to demonstrate the appalling betrayal of Biblical Protestantism these men are guilty of.

While they and so many other apostate preachers are guilty of failing in their solemn duty as watchmen, we are determined, with God’s grace, not to be similarly bloodguilty, be it with any reader of this page or, indeed, of the apostate ministers we have highlighted throughout the past number of months.

Indeed Canon David Skuce has no excuse as we know for a fact he has viewed this page and indeed, accidentally (we presume) liked one of the posts on our Facebook page. It just so happened to be the next post up from the one concerning him and bearing his picture we posted a couple of days before Easter.

By persisting in his disgraceful ecumenical blasphemy despite viewing our faithful warning, he is piling up greater judgement for himself.

Chancer Canon David Skuce knows this ecumenical path he is treading is wrong, but he refuses to turn around.

James 4:17 reminds him: “Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.”

It is bad enough to sin, but to do it consciously, knowing it is wrong, is worse still.

If Chancer Canon David Skuce will refuse to turn around, then, dear reader, if you are a part of the ecumenical movement, won’t you turn around before it is too late?

Genesis 6:3 reminds us that God’s Spirit “shall not always strive with man”. 2 Corinthians 6-2 reminds us that “behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation”.

Please do not leave it until it is too late. Come to Christ, confess your sins, ask for forgiveness and place your faith and trust in Him today.
