ABBA ‘prayer dancing’ Pete Greig and Rome loving Mike Pilavachi for Causeway Coast Vineyard conference

2 Timothy 4:2-4: “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”

Last week on ‘Protestant Revival’ we highlighted two of the inappropriate characters who will be “preaching” and leading “worship” at Causeway Coast Vineyard’s ‘Encounter More’ conference, which will run from Thursday, 23 to Saturday, 25 May.

They are Havilah Cunnington and Jeremy Riddle, representatives of that frankly frightening hotbed of charismatic deceit, Bethel Ministries, whose blasphemies you can get an idea of by clicking here.

We simply couldn’t go into enough detail in one post to outline all the heretical speakers who will be purporting to offer spiritual guidance to the poor attendees of Causeway Coast Vineyard, but we can reveal that more brazenly ecumenical and God-defying speakers and worship leaders will be held up and exalted by those in charge at Causeway Coast Vineyard Church.

They are Mike Pilavachi (pictured, top) and Beth and Andy Croft of Soul Survivor church and Pete Greig (pictured, below), who runs 24-7 Prayer.

Pete Greig, for any readers who aren’t aware, is an out and out compromiser with Rome and a leading figure in the ungodly charismatic excesses which, sadly, figure prominently in so much of professing Christendom.

Indeed, he is at the extreme end of this.

And that can be seen in the fact that he claims God told him that He, the Almighty God of heaven, the eternal, unchangeable God who cannot abide sin, was “quite enjoying” a group of young women dressed up for a night out on the town coming into a prayer room he was in charge of, turning the stereo up (why it was there in any event is a good question) and proceeding to prayer dance to a song by Swedish pop group ABBA.

They apparently put their own ‘religious’ words to one of ABBA’s seemingly well-known songs, Super Trouper.

This is a blasphemy, yet Pete Greig has the gall to claim, not only that it was an acceptable form of worship, but that it was given the seal of approval of God.

What an outrage!

Furthermore, Pete Greig has played an active role in helping the Roman Catholic Church lure more people in to its evil clutches.

Pete Greig addressed the diocesan assembly of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Vienna in St Stephen’s Roman Catholic Cathedral in the Austrian capital.

Tweeting afterwards, Pete Greig said: “Truly wonderful time in Vienna addressing 1,700 bishops, nuns, priests, laity from every church in the Archdiocese. Extraordinary signs of renewal – ‘unthinkable 9 years ago’ says the Cardinal.”

So Pete Greig was rejoicing in helping and seeing an increase in the number of people coming under the pagan influence of Rome.

Not only that, the 24-7 Prayer organisation which he heads up is an indisputably ecumenical organisation.

And its leader in Ireland is none other than Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson, lead pastor at the truly Christ-rejecting Emmanuel Church in the Craigavon area.

That, in itself, says it all.

The Jesuit promoter that is Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson leads 24-7 Prayer Ireland and indeed had Pete Greig as a celebrity guest at Emmanuel Church’s ‘Tobar’ conference last year, showing the strong links between the pair.

As for Mike Pilavachi and his Soul Survivor church, this man is another confirmed ecumenist.

His Soul Survivor church hosts summer camps each year and every year since at least 2016 these camps have offered the Roman Catholic Mass, a grievous blasphemy against God.

The Roman Catholic catechism says this of the Mass: “Because it is the memorial of Christ’s Passover, the Eucharist is also a sacrifice. In the Eucharist Christ gives us the very body which he gave up for us on the cross, the very blood which he “poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.””

Rome claims they are making a sacrifice of Christ in the Mass, yet the Bible says this in Hebrews 10:11-12: “And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God”.

Christ made “one sacrifice for sins for ever”, yet Rome repeatedly claims to be offering a sacrifice of Christ, thus serving to totally reject and blaspheme this most precious and crucial tenet of Scripture.

But Mike Pilavachi, whether he practices the Mass personally or not, serves to do the same by facilitating this blasphemous sacrifice.

But he will be offered an enthusiastic welcome to Causeway Coast Vineyard Church next week.

Mike Pilavachi has also demonstrated his enthusiasm for fellowshipping with heretics by being pictured alongside the Archbishop (read, Arch-apostate) of Canterbury, Justin Welby and Bishop Michael Curry, the sodomy-supporting American heretic who impressed the gullible and fellow-apostates at last year’s Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The trio are pictured together, below.

They were all at the main celebration of the utterly ecumenical ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ prayer initiative, founded by Arch-apostate of Canterbury Justin Welby and given the seal of approval of “that man of sin, and son of perdition”, the Pope,

‘Thy Kingdom Come’ has devotionals to Mary accompanying it and Mike Pilavachi was the main speaker at the event.

So the Pope and Causeway Coast Vineyard Church have something (plenty of things, most likely) in common – they both promote events headlined by Mike Pilavachi.

That is very instructive.

Having the approval of the Pope is certainly not something any of us should want.

John 15:18-19 says: “If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.”

The Pope is undoubtedly “of the world” and will “love his own”. That would include the likes of Mike Pilavachi.

So why would Causeway Coast Vineyard want such characters as Pete Greig and Mike Pilavachi at their conference?

Well, Causeway Coast Vineyard’s previous lead pastor, Alan Scott, infamously said he was “all in” with the Pope during a sermon at Causeway Coast Vineyard.

And one of its leading figures, Peter Lynas (pictured, below), who also heads up the allegedly Evangelical Alliance, has repeatedly aligned himself with ecumenists and Romanists.

While it is little surprise to see a supposedly God-exalting church promote and fellowship with those who bring dishonour to the cause of Christ, it is imperative those who are saved and endeavouring to follow Christ take a stand against such error and compromise.

Psalm 94:16: “Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?”

God is asking the question and continues to ask it today – who will stand up, who will rise up for Him against those who act contrarily to His will?

Will we speak out against such falsehoods and their propagators? Or will we hold our peace?

Let us be bold and sound the alarm in this evil day and generation and refuse to sit by idly as such blasphemies are being committed in the name of Christ.

Joel 2:1: “Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain”.

    1. It would appear we have touched a nerve here, given all the ridiculous comments and profile names you have came up with to message us. We have deleted the vast majority of them given their petulance, irrelevance and pathetic nature.

Do we just ignore the fact he is happy to endorse false doctrines of Rome such as the utterly blasphemous Mass?

Do we just ignore the fact he keeps company with the utterly apostate Justin Welby and Michael Curry?

It is truly mystifying how, with all these incredible numbers of people apparently getting saved thanks to all these characters’ “wonderful” preaching, that we are not seeing this in society around us.

There is no great sign of any true revival in our land, society sadly continues to descend. When revival hits, the whole town and district knows about it. This is not the case with these churches and characters.

Matthew 7:21-23: “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

      1. I think you would do well to read again what Jesus said to and about the Pharisees. Your attitude stinks. You will be judged in the same way that you are judging others. And what makes you think that Matthew 7:21-23 doesn’t apply to you? What fruits of the Spirit do your words show? Do you really think that such an attitude and such words are worthy of Jesus? Do you really think that such vitriolic outbursts can draw others to Jesus? You don’t see revival because anything that smacks of the work of the Holy Spirit, you condemn because it doesn’t fit your narrow and prejudiced view. I don’t recognise anything Christian in the words you use and the attitude you display.

      2. Hi Liz,

Thanks for getting in touch, it is just a shame your correspondence is so confrontational and misguided.

It is remarkable to look at the criticisms levelled at us yet seeing far worse comments directed toward us by you.

The foolish cry of “Pharisee! Pharisee!” is one with which we are familiar, yet one which is utterly wrong in this context.

The Pharisees created man made rules so as to exert control over the people and impress others with their supposed piety.

We are not creating any man made rules, this is a faithful (one of the fruits of the spirit, ironically) attempt to share the real message of the gospel, not the polluted version propagated by Pete Greig, Mike Pilavachi and many others.

The Bible shapes what we say, we do not try to shape the Bible to fit what we say.

We do wonder if you’ve actually taken any of the points on board.

Do you believe the Mass is an appropriate form of worship of God? We outline in the article, through incontestible Scripture proofs, how it is not.

Mike Pilavachi organises for this blasphemy to be held at his camps. Pete Greig is advising the Roman Catholic Church how to bring more people in under the influence of that false system.

Apart from the blasphemous Mass, Rome also teaches of offering prayer to long dead so-called saints and to Mary, despite the fact the Bible says there is “one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 2:5).

Rome teaches of the fictional venue of purgatory, a sort of holding cell between heaven and hell. There is no Scriptural warrant for this lie.

Rome teaches that salvation is achieved through our good works, but the Bible says in Ephesians 2:8-9: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Rome is wrong on so many levels and leads its adherents to hell.

Do you agree with the Roman Catholic blasphemous teachings?

Pete Greig is helping Rome bring more people into its sphere of influence and Mike Pilavachi is helping them practice their false religion.

This is not love. They are watchmen who fail to sound the alarm (see Ezekiel 33).

You try to say that Jesus would not condemn people, yet in the same breath refer to his condemnation of the Pharisees, though of course his condemnation only applies to the likes of us, apparently.

Jesus used very strident language and actions against those who polluted true worship.

He created a scourge of cords to strike the moneychangers and overturned their tables. Do you believe Jesus was guilty of lacking the fruit of the spirit? Or was he vitriolic?

Christ hated the false teachers. Pete Greig and Mike Pilavachi are promoting false teachers and allowing false teaching at their camps and prayer rooms.

We don’t see revival because presently there is no revival, sadly.

The so-called revival you seem to see doesn’t seem to involve a great deal of renewing of the mind or living a life dedicated to holiness.

One must only look at the list of comments from those, like you, jumping to the defence of Pete Greig, fawning over him on his Facebook page.

This includes individuals saying things like: “I am pretty sure Jesus was in ABBA”, to which there came a reply, “I’m sure Jesus was in ABBA”. Another, apparently connected with Baptist World Aid Australia, commented, saying: “Was Jesus the blond-haired, blue-eyed one?”

If these are the type of disciples Pete Greig is making, that really says it all.

We have also seen comments by individuals on the same thread defending Pete Greig, taking God’s name in vain and making clear reference to foul and vulgar language, one of whom is a former senior pastor at a Vineyard Church. Talk about the blind leading the blind.

This is frankly outrageous. If anyone sees the fruit of the spirit in that then they are blind too.

There is nothing Christian in any of it, be it Pete Greig and Mike Pilavachi endorsing the lies of Rome or Pete Greig indulging blasphemous, polluted worship like ABBA prayer dancing, or the sad, ignorant comments we have seen and received.

We can only pray that you and the others, as well as Pete Greig and Mike Pilavachi, will experience God taking a dealing with you and them, and then, with the level of influence both men seem to wield, we might actually see something done to further Christ’s Kingdom.

      1. Can’t help but get the impression you share an identity with ‘Hard truth’, given you share the same tactic of quickfire nonsensical messages under various silly aliases, including one on this occasion purporting to be a DUP councillor who would not be on the same wavelength as many of those in the party’s higher echelons. Again, all but one has been marked as spam.

It would appear you have a bit of a bee in your bonnet about the DUP. This page does not align with any particular party, but certainly even a cursory glance through our articles would show we are not especially complimentary of the party and its very clear direction of travel.

In relation to the article which appears to have so riled you, if you support the blatantly obviously unbiblical notion of prayer dancing to worldly music, then we would be concerned for you.

And, in relation to your latest assumed moniker, it is the likes of Pete Greig who do so much harm to the cause of Christ. Time and eternity will prove this. We believe Pete Greig knows this as well but will he persist? The signs are not promising that he will change his ways.

    1. Hi Ali,

We believe you are well aware that is not the case.

If you think it laughable that Christians should oppose the blasphemous sacrifice of the Mass, grave irreverence towards God through ABBA prayer dancing and assisting the anti-Christian Roman Catholic Church bring more people under its influence, then we would be concerned for you.

Proverbs 14:9: “Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour.”

    1. Daniel,

Yet another yawn-inducing, silly comment, purporting to respond to an equally fatuous comment to which we had already replied.

You may consider standing up for God and His Word to be laughable, but “God is not mocked” (Galatians 6:7).

  2. Guys you replied on a Sunday !!!!!
Wouldn’t that be working on the sabbath ? Since you obey the rules of the bible so very literally then you have committed quite the sin.
Also I would appreciate you not having concern for me. I prefer to keep hate preaching terrorists like yourselves far away from me. You preach hatred and actively encourage people to pray against fellow Christians. Honestly please keep away from us who know Jesus and want to live life with him that welcomes and loves others.
Speaking of how would you report on Jesus eating at the home of a tax collector ? Looking at previous ramblings of a madman on here I bet you would’ve been condemning him screaming something about him being a sinner and this Jesus should be ashamed of visiting him.
Anyway have a great day !

    1. Another silly assumed moniker (and comment) ‘Hard truth’ and ‘You do so much harm’.

However, we will indulge you on this occasion.

Engaging in a conversation on a Sunday is entirely permissible. And this is very evidently not work or a form of employment. Do you believe sharing the gospel message on a Sunday is wrong? What a silly comment.

Also if you think it is wrong, or incorrectly think we may think it wrong, then deride us for it, you are fulfilling the criteria for making a mock at sin and Proverbs 14:9 explains that particular action is the preserve of “fools”.

We are concerned for all those who have clearly departed from Biblical levels of propriety in religious worship. To think God will look favourably upon girls dressed up for a night on the town (ie not especially modestly) doing some sort of prayer dance to worldly pop music is frankly verging on blasphemous.

As for the ludicrous and outrageous slur against us, it really is an example of nonsensical and indeed fallacious hyperbole.

We do not preach hate, we urge faithfulness to God’s Word and are unafraid to point out where there has been departure. We know it will not make us popular with many, but we consider it far better to strive to please God rather than man.

You say to “keep away from us” – you are the one coming to us with these comments repeatedly. However, it is clear in this that you are rejecting the Biblical standards and while you may say you know Jesus, we have reservations when you refuse to countenance what God’s Word says. Furthermore, you are branding those who wish to see Biblical standards upheld as extremists.

As for your question about Jesus eating at the home of a tax collector, at what point have we criticised anyone for having dinner with somebody?

Did Jesus engage in ecumenical worship with false religions? Of course not.

This is what this is about – speaking out against false and polluted religion and worship. Jesus did that, you may have noticed.

We know the folk in the charismatic and ecumenical movements think they are following Jesus and the likes of us are the modern day Pharisees.

However, the Pharisees made up their own rules to feel superior which were extra-biblical, we are simply repeating what the Bible says.

Those in the ecumenical and charismatic movements are making up their own rules to relieve themselves of their responsibilities to God then howl with condemnation when those who hold to the Bible dare speak out against their compromise and apostasy, spuriously crying ‘legalism!’ and ‘Pharisee!’

We trust God will speak to you and convince you to shun the charismatic and ecumenical movements which the likes of Pete Greig are promoting.
